I'm not that invested in gay couple storylines (in fact i'm perfectly with gay characters with barely love lives if the show is not focused in love lives, The Rookie is a perfect example) but this is going in circles.
Generally the gay couple storylines that work better are the ones that have the characters developed previously, Jack and Rayane are perfect examples of people anticipating an storyline. Both had their coming out storylines and a slow building towards a friendship first and something more last.
The problem here is not Arthur and Marshall dating, in fact Marshall probably is not in a place to date anyone, the problem is the storyline just doesn't advance. It would be good if Arthur will date someone else while Marshall figures out what he really wants

It's a pity that it's so difficult to find new clips of the show to follow the storyline

I hope Arthur continues with his life without purchasing Marshall. If he wants to stay in the closet it's his business and Arthur doesn't need to endure his crap

I think it's the most veteran spanish tv show right now (or very close).
The show started just after the civil war (it had a gay character back then too). At the beginning it was on rtve and now on antena 3 (at first it was named Amar en tiempos revueltos and renamed Amar es para siempre once it started on Antena 3).
They are in 1982 right now (the show had a gay character a couple of seasons ago but with not much love life)
José Lamuño is really handsome

There's a thing that rarely is talked but it's very important for Netflix to renew the shows and it's the percentage of people who watch the show till the end.
Midnight club fans complained that their show did better than Heartstopper in the usual metrics (Heartstopper has only 6 episodes of half an hour each other so it's going to do not so well in the usual number of hours viewership) but the truth is only a 40% of the people who started to watch Midnight club finished it meanwhile 72% of the people who watched Heartopper finished it, which it shows a good probability that these people watch a second season.
Some of the canceled shows like 1899 had a very poor percentage (32%) of viewers who watched all the episodes.
I had the impression Uncoupled didn't do well in any of the metrics and it didn't had good reviews either

Well, that's not a surprise. The show was a faliure in all senses for Netflix. It didn't have good reviews and the number of hours was low. The only thing it could save it if it was a cheap show

Well, he did in fact came out, but he used a slur, so it's difficult to know But some people said it was sarcasm, he was joking. So we can't take it seriously. A straight guy using the f word describing himself as sarcasm? In a gay magazine? I doubt it

This is a teen show. Three seasons are perfect. I don't want this to end being a ridiculous show like Elite (it's hard to remember that Elite's first season was a pretty decent show).
I liked the second season way more than the first one, and even a quite niche show like this was very successful in a lot of countries.
Netflix is canceling a lot of critics darling shows, so i think it's very good they gave this a third season to give it a closure

It's curious because i'm not the biggest fan of the first season of the show but i really want to watch second season (and the trailer looks amazing)

Totally expected. It was unable to generate any buzz.
Evertything around the show was wrong, sorry but there's nothing on this that was like the original and you don't promote a show as a reboot if doesn't have anything to do with the original (it only generates fans dissapointment)

The original show was quite successful in Spain.
I remember Alex Dimitriades (by the time the show aired in Spain he was on the cinemas with the adaptation of Christos Tsiolkas' Head on where he played a young gay man).
I remember an episode with a gay character but it was like an after school special and the guy didn't appear in any other episode

I have to say that i liked the original Merlí way more than Sapere Aude. The first season is ok, i just started the second season and they go exactly where i feared (sorry but i find it a very cliché) and i'm just not in the mood to continue.
Maybe i'll try later

They are filming the adaptation of Reina Roja (Red queen) a bestseller novel by Juan Gómez-Jurado.
It's a thriller (so no romance here) but one of the two main characters is a gay cop.
Hopefully they will do a great job because the novel is a real page turner

Well, not surprising giving one of their biggest shows (Money Heist) was a so so hit for Antena 3 when they released it (they were even able to made a hit of Boy Toy)

I'm a sucker for high shool shows but the trailer of this show looks pretty awful to me.
And i'm not a fan of making gay the character just for the sake of the actor coming out (if that's what Joshua Bassett did, because frankly i don't know)

Interesting. Wonder if they will put Lucas with Jake. After all, Jake's relationship with Nico seems to be stabilizing, so it is about time any drama start dumping in relationship problems If my memory doesn't fail Levi and Nico are not together anymore, so Levi is single

I'm ending the third season and i love this show and its complete craziness.
I find it incredibly funny and well acted but to be fair the strong point of the show is the unlikely friendships between some characters and not the couples.
Eric and Adam never made too much sense (and Otis was clear in his opinion about the couple). Adam have a very interesting evolucion arc but dating the guy who he bullied was not a good idea (and it's difficult to understand that someone will chose Adam over Rahim, to be honest)

The spanish daily cop show Servir y proteger is adding two gay characters for the next season.
I fin odd that they never had a gay cop in any of their seasons (at least 6) even they have gay characters before (generally the bad guys). The show had two lesbian regular characters (and had a trans cop in a previous season)

I read a review about the third season and it's pretty bad, they say the show deserved a better ending.
Curiously the part they liked it's Victor's storyline but they think the show could explore Benji's addiction and that (something everybody knows by now) Andrew and Mia storyline has zero interest
