Murdoch Mysteries (alternate title "The Artful Detective") 2008 - present (CityTV 2008-2012, CBC 2012-present)
Detective series set in Toronto, Canada, in the late 1890s and early 1900s. Toronto police detective William Murdoch solves crimes (mostly murders), often by inventing crude forerunners of later 20th or 21st Century technology and forensic techniques.
Detective Llewelyn Watts (Daniel Maslany) was introduced in season 10 (2016/2017) although viewers didn't learn of Watts' sexual orientation until Season 13, Episode 6 (November 2019) when Watts met local butcher Jack Walker (Jesse Lavercombe). Although credited as "recurring" Maslany appears in most (but not all) episodes in seasons 13, 14, and 15.
Jack Walker leaves Toronto for New York City towards the end of season 14 (2021).
Watts makes friends with Milo Strange (David Andrew Reid) in season 15 (2021/2022) but Strange rebuffs Watts' interest in a relationship.
The end of season 15 sees Watts leave Toronto for New York City. It wasn't clear to me if the writers were giving Watts a "happy ending" to be with Jack Walker in NYC, or sending him to reunite with Walker and bring him home to Toronto. [Season 16 premieres in Canada September 2022].
The series is a staple of CBC's drama programming, broadcast at an early hour, so Watts' romantic activities are more "said" than "seen" but that he's gay and that his relationship with Jack Walker was romantic is foretext not subtext. Prejudice against Watts (and Walker) is ongoing but Watts eventually finds tolerance among his immediate co-workers. Given that it takes place circa 1906 the prejudice seems more realistic than the tolerance...

My PVR says season two of "Industry" starts August 01 2022.
Do I recall correctly that Gus was set-up to not return for season two?

I gave up on Riverdale after the second or third season, when I realized I'd watched the whole thing for a handful of minutes of Kevin Keller. Minutes I didn't enjoy.

It seems like months since any of the gay characters have had anything more than a few lines here and there. I can't remember the last time I saw Todd...

Watched the premiere. The Liam character seems to be a supporting role but he's close to his brother Cordell (the title character). He mentioned his boyfriend Brett at least twice during the episode but Brett did not appear in the pilot.
It seems Liam (and Brett) were parenting Cordell's teenage kids (along with Cordell's parents) while their dad was undercover for a year, so the writers seem to be tying Liam into the family side of the drama.
Overall I was let down by Liam (& of course Brett)'s role in the pilot but there's still room for more given what the pilot's introduced.

I enjoyed the first episode enough to want to watch the series. I agree that the gay teenager Fraser isn't a particularly likeable character but I thought there was enough going on with him for interesting story potential.
I was a bit disappointed with the second episode which retold much of the first episode but from Caitlin/Harper's point of view. I don't feel as interested in that character, at least so far.

As I understand it some Canadian provinces have moved to restart TV and movie production. British Columbia and Manitoba have. It would still be the case that arrivals from outside Canada would have to quarantine for two weeks when they enter the country before starting work, and masks, physical distancing, and limiting gathering size recommendations should all be observed.

Penny Dreadful: City of Angels(Showtime, 2020) Set in Los Angeles in 1938. The demon Magda (Natalie Dormer) spreads strife and death among the City of Angels. Ambitious city councilor Charlton Townsend (Michael Gladis) is being developed as an asset by German agents. To keep his habit of picking up young men for sex from destroying the value of their asset, the Germans assign chauffer Kurt (Dominic Sherwood) to keep Townsend out of trouble. This includes romancing Townsend, who becomes quickly smitten with the handsome minder. In another subplot after newly initiated Pachuco Mateo Vega (Johnathan Nieves) sleeps with Rio [the daemon Magda] he is confronted by her lover Fly Rico (Sebastian Chacon) who joins them in bed for more sex.

I put a note in my calendar for their last day, 18 Sep 2020... It reads: End of Days.
They had a long run. It'll be nice to get the time back every day that I spent watching their scenes and fast forwarding the rest of the show.

After two episodes I haven't really made up my mind about this one. These "fire/paramedic" shows all seem kind of the same (and I remember "Emergency!" [NBC 1972-1977]).
What I did like was that TK and Carlos seem fairly central to the show, and it looks like they'll get comparable air time to the others in the ensemble cast. I also liked that they have adult libidos. (I'm more than tired of sexless gay best friends and barely-there tokens).
They're kind of easy on the eyes too...

Of course if the writers were following the standard soap opera love triangle tropes (alien version) just as Michael and Maria get together #malex would discover the result of their one night stand is that they're pregnant. Twins, of course... Michael and Alex borh expecting... 😄

Is Alex's aggressive behaviour a result of his exposure to the alien ship fragment? A manifestation of the "darkness" he was warned about by Maria's mother?

SPOILERS (if you haven't seen this week's episode).
Wow. Just... wow. Wait a year for an episode where Kevin has more that two lines... wait this long for them to finally address the Kevin-Moose relationship, and they end with Moose leaving town? And what's up with that post-sex scene? Kevin and Moose were wearing more clothes in bed than Archie and Jughead do pitchforking hay.
F*#@& them. I'd like to pitchfork Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa and the whole production team.

My guess would be that the writers got them together so soon (episode 2) so they had plenty of time to tear them apart. That's the nature of drama. I'm just happy they're writing them at all (see "Kevin Keller").
Both men are pretty messed up (foster kid, soldier = "real Manes man", both have abandonment/unloved by their parents issues, etc) so there are plenty of angles for the writers to draw on, and plenty of obstacles to their relationship. Drama!
I can't help but notice that they've set up Alex, sometime far in the future, to pick between his alien hunter father and his alien boyfriend. Drama!
Now all of this could come to nothing if the CW Network Execs start sending "helpful" (homophobic) notes.

I assume it's going nowhere but Leo hitting on Xander today (and proposing a sex for information trade) seemed oddly like new ground for an American daytime soap...
I guess they're trying to write Leo like a gay male version of an old-school soap gold digger/villain.
I like the actor playing Leo. It's feels to me like he's having fun with the role.

HBO drama-comedy from Alan Ball ( Six Feet Under, True Blood). Season One is 10 episodes and given the reviews it seems unlikely there will be a season two. Ramon (Daniel Zovatto) is one of the children of the main family, and according to imdb appears in all 10 episodes. Henry (Andy Bean) and Ramon start dating in episode one. According to imdb Henry appears in 6 episodes. Henry (Andy Bean) and Ramon (Daniel Zovatto) While the series in general might be "a mess" (according to the critics) Ramon and Henry's relationship is, I think, well done.

Ok final results wilson 51% hortie 30% sonpaul 19% so wilson win I think if the writers are smart they can keep this triangle ever changing for years. Just as "A" picks "B" over "C", "B" can't decide between "A" or "C"... Potentially a never ending, tighty revolving triangle. It could be very soapy. My vote would be that there is no "end game".

So is that it? Kevin wakes up in the morning next to Aaron, flips out, and runs off never to be seen again? Worst. Gay. Story. Ever.

Did I fast forward something I shouldn't have? When did Sonny get a pilot's license? About the same time he turned into a mobster from The Godfather. As much as I'm not particularly fond of this "Sonny the ruthless plutocrat" story I have to remind myself of all the gay soap characters who've gone before and for whom writers could only write coming out, gay bashing, and same-sex wedding storys. At least DAYS deserves a point of credit for writing a Sonny story where "gay" is not the story's foundation. Now if they'd only written it better...

I enjoyed Kevin's role in the first episode. He was Betty's friend, actually had a sexuality, and I thought there was potential drama in the Moose relationship. (And he had lots of lines and screen time.)
In the second episode the scene between Kevin and Moose sounded to me like the writers ending that potential story.
The third episode Kevin was reduced to "one of the girls" and the stereotypical sassy gay friend. (And to a minimum of lines and screen time.)
I thought Kevin's trajectory over the first three episodes was headed down to irrelevant.
I'm glad to hear that the Moose mess isn't quite over. Maybe there's hope for an interesting B-story for Kevin yet...

Given the standard set by Shameless for other characters' sex scenes, was anyone else as disappointed as me with the pan to the poster for Ian and Trevor's sex? The second part of the scene didn't even get that coverage, with the audience only learning about Trevor's experience bottoming from the post-sex conversation. Kev/V/Svetlana, Lip, Fiona, and even Frank, seem to get on-screen scenes...
