The #Kelmiro kiss has finally happened! The popular duo Kelvin and Ramiro, from Brazilian telenovela "Terra e Paixão", have finally confessed their love for each other. I don't follow the show but it was all over twitter and the show had it's highest rated episode as well... everybody was waiting for it.

Ok, I was a bit harsh, he ain’t bad, but I was rooting for Manuel and Simone. He actually looks great - Domenico. And I like his character: I love the tension between him and Manuel. I m thinking it will translate to a tension over Simone. I also like that he is thuggish, but the heart seems to be in the right place. I second everything you said... I've only watched the first 3 eps so far, but I'm really liking Mimmo (Domenico's character) and the tension he brings to the dynamics between characters. I LOVE Manuel and would love for him and Simone to be together at one point, but at the same time, I wanna see Simone happy and not to be toyed around with, so I wouldn't mind if Mimmo is the one making him happy.

It is a remake. Morangos com Açúcar was a very popular teen show in Portugal in the 2000s (it was shown briefly in Brazil as well) and they actually had a big gay storyline at one point. This new version is a co-production between TVI and Prime and certainly more dramatic. They had shot 3 seasons already. The first one is already out and the two remaining will be out next year. Somehow I missed the original's gay storyline. Hopefully this remake does it justice too, and expands the role of the characters involved. This remake has a very different tone to the original... I just started watching it on friday and the comedic and more lighthearted tone of the original is mostly gone. It's like they just took the name and the concept of it being a teen high school show... everything else is very different. Is also very large cast, so I don't know how much time they will devote to the supporting cast's storyline... we'll see

It seems Morangos com Açucar, portuguese series on Prime video has a gay storyline Is it a remake? I vaguely remember a show with the same name many years ago, but I don't think that had any gay characters - certainly no scene like that! It is a remake. Poor Domenico Cuomo... he's great! Ok, I was a bit harsh, he ain’t bad, but I was rooting for Manuel and Simone. I get that... But I had to defend my boy Domenico (he's great in Mare Fuori!). I'm also rooting for Manuel and Simone, but I love the show in general (just like Merli) so I'll probabaly enjoy it either way. I'm personally choosing to wait for the show to air... "spoilers" seem to be all over the place

I just read spoilers Manuel dating a new female classmate all season disappointed but not surprised what the hell? And Simone is stuck with ... hmmm ... interesting looking fella. They could have paired him with better looking guy to make Manuel jealous. Poor Domenico Cuomo... he's great!

Brazilian thriller Últimas Férias premiering on Nov. 8th looks to have a gay couple on its main cast, although their placement in the cast poster suggests they are secondary leads at best. And I'm not sure if it's the same blond guy kissing a girl later on. He is played by Michel Joelsas who of course had a prominent queer role in another Brazilian series, Boca a Boca - I didn't recognize him with the haircut, blond dye-job and facial scruff! His boyfriend seems to be João Oliveira who also played queer on LOV3. https://www.instagram.com/p/CyOkimVuHB9 Últimas Férias is already out! I haven't watched it yet so I don't know if it warrants its own thread, but from I've seen on twitter is does have a gay couple (or a bisexual couple, not sure), and Michel Joelsas's role seems quite big

November will be a great month for Damiano Gavino! Not only is he coming back as Manuel in the second season of “Un Professore”, but his new movie Nuovo Olímpio (where he’s playing a gay lead character) is also premiering in November on Netflix! The movie looks beautiful… and just as they did with the teaser from earlier this year, the Mina songs just gave it an epic feeling. Cant wait to watch it! The movie is out and Damiano is so good in it! Definitely my MVP (alongside Luisa Ranieri as Titi) Also, on a more superficial note, Damiano goes full-frontal TWICE in it… I was so surprised! That’s commitment right there! (And both scenes felt super natural too) I wrote more about the movie here My post in “Gay Movies - General Discussion Thread”

Nuovo Olimpo is out now on Netflix. Queer love, nostalgia, Italian melodrama, killer soundtrack… all elements I love, so it’s hard for me not to like this film even with its flaws LOL *** May contain spoilers *** I feel like the first half was a lot stronger (and more artsy). The acting was mostly great (Damiano my MVP <3) and the film does a beautiful job in portraying Enea and Pietro‘s first interactions, their growing love and relationship while also unfolding as a love letter to Rome itself, capturing the nostalgic and vintage beauties of the city and locations with gorgeous cinematography. The more intimate scenes were all very artful as well, with special kudos to how comfortably naturalistic the full-frontal nudity felt here (necessary and not added for the wow factor). The music is also a big highlight (as I would’ve imagined judging by the Mina songs in both the teaser and the trailer) I have to say, though, that the middle part of the film (once the story starts with the time jumps) kind of lost me a bit. As Enea and Pietro move on with their lives, the story becomes weaker and more predictable (and, as a side note, the aging make-up started to become a bit too distracting for me personally). I was also conflicted about the end, but I think the director was able to find a sweet (even if not 100% satisfying) resolution (or maybe the only possible one).

One of the original actors was Jesuita Barbosa, who is now a very famous award-winning actor... I'm sure getting him to do this movie would be quite expensive... both the new actors are quite "unknown" (Gabriel Fuentes has a onlyfans account btw... you're welcome ) Oh I know all about Gabriel's OF. He's been on my radar since Malhacao. I'm just thrilled now he has a gay-adjacent role. Well, hopefully it's more than just gay-adjacent. Based on his OF, I feel like he would give us some scorching hot sex scenes if the script allows. You know high quality material when you see it

O Melhor Amigo (The Best Friend) was a Brazilian gay-themed short that came out a decade ago. It was a familiar tale of a gay boy, Lucas, harbouring a secret crush on his straight best friend, Felipe. Production has commenced on a feature-length sequel with a festival circuit debut expected in the second half of 2024. From what I gather, it will be a musical, with Lucas now living out and proud, when his path crosses with Felipe again. Both roles have now been recast (either the original actors were unavailable or they've aged out of whatever timeframe this sequel is supposed to be set in). Lucas will now be played by Vinicius Teixeira and Felipe by Gabriel Fuentes. https://www.instagram.com/p/Cyjh2KyPKfe One of the original actors was Jesuita Barbosa, who is now a very famous award-winning actor... Globo's musical "dramedy" Rensga Hits! has already started shooting their second season. Originally produced as a Globoplay Original (their streaming service), the show was such a hit online that they decided to air it on TV this past month in anticipation for the second season. The best part: They didn't cut anything of the Gay storyline on the show! Yay! People all around Brazil were able to see all the hot kisses between sertanejo music idol Deivid and his hunk bodyguard Kevin! Can't wait for season 2!

Stranizza D'Amuri - English title Fireworks, although a literal translation would be Strangeness of Love - is an Italian movie, inspired by a tragic true story, portrays two teenage boys who fall in love amidst the violent homophobia and toxic masculinity of early 1980s' Sicily. in the true story, the lovers both die at the end in mysterious circumstances, but their killings apparently led to a big change in public opinion about homosexuality and the birth of new gay/lesbian rights organizations. Got the chance to watch Stranizza D'Amuri yesterday and I loved it! It was kind of hard to watch at times, as the film gives you some kicks in the stomach, but at the same time bringing a delicate touch of innocence that was far more meaningful to me. Overall, a very sad but moving film (buy your Kleenex! Lol). First-time director Giuseppe Fiorello does a great job here as well as the whole cast, but the chemistry between the main actors Gabriele Pizzuru and Samuele Segreto deserves a special notice.

So, I was watching this Brazilian show that came out on Netflix last year without knowing it had any lgbtq+ representation and it actually has a cute little gay storyline on it (Nelton and Rafael)… they even did a beautifully shot gay sex scene which I was not excepting. The plot is basically about a group of young musicians trying to make it in the sertanejo market (a very popular - and traditional - music genre in a Brazil). Quite similar to another popular show in Brasil (Rensga Hits!) which also has a gay storyline (a more prominent one though). Unfortunately this show wasn’t renewed for a second season In case anyone wanna watch it, it’s a Netflix original, so it’s available everywhere. Here’s a little edit I found on YouTube with bits of some of their scenes.

Unfortunately no. I watched the show in full when it came out last year on Globoplay (their streaming service)... but I remember seeing some edits of them but with no subtitles. I'll try finding that out for you Thanks for offering! It'd be great to see, I do need subtitles but i can understand a little without. I've been thinking about editing the Deivid + Kevin storyline from "Rensga Hits" to post here... I'll work on the subtitles whenever I have some free time. I'll open a thread when I finish the first part to post

I mean... I just read his interview and he gave the standard coy response for an actor starting a project... he said he "hasn't received anything yet" (as in, no scenes or scripts where sent to him), which would make sense considering telenovelas in Brazil are written and shot with just a couple of weeks in advance and it was mentioned that the storyline is supposed to start around April/May. Aside from all these major outlets reporting on it as a sure thing, this interview was done by Globo, so them actually addressing it while talking about the character makes me wonder. I guess we'll have to wait and see what happens. Again, we'll have to wait and see what happens... I haven't been watching the show but I'm always keeping an eye on social media to check if there are any new developments...the fans are pretty vocal so I'm sure we'll learn if the reports are true or not as the story develops more
