Well, I wanted to vote, but then thought better of it. The site just doesn't appeal esthetically to me and I'm not certain I want to feed that kind of content online.
I'll just trust that Jo stops by here now and again and can gather from our posts what he think of him: umm, *blushes*, definitely a Stallion.
heh

Oh, yeah...him. I don't usually watch TV. So, one of the brothers on that show. Yes, they are both nice to look at. Looking through the starspage, I can't find anyone who I think would make a good match for your Constantin---but I heartily agree he could be/should be one in a new Gay couple, as well. That would just be too awesome. Let him stay away from O&C, however! Geoff

Thanks Ivan for the pics! Yes, gast48, I really need the salts... Olli is always smoking hot in that uniform. What about Constantin in pink? So cute! I think he's gonna become my Halunke no. 2. I'm curious to know harmonium's opinion on that. aldebaran: Hey hey!! Sorry, been missing on the discussion due to catching up on the gay-themed movies I've lined up for the week. Glad that u remembered I love my baby Constantin. And for being slow: OH MY GOD!! MY CONSTANTIN!!!! Sorry, I just need to let it all out. He's SMOKING HOT. Please, just make Constantin GAY!! Hahaha. I would love to see him making out with another cute guy! *Mischievous Grin* Get him to make out with Wentworth. That will be sinful and guilty pleasure. hmm Who is Wentworth? I can't find him on the starspage...? And, considering his luck with the ladies, maybe he should just admit it and help form the second Gay couple on the show heh. He is a hunk Geoff

That reminds me, lola!
What season is it on the show right now? The last thing I saw with Judith and Chris, they were outside with frosty breath! And I see Chris in a jacket there, Oli in a long-sleeve shirt. So, Winter?
Gotta be

Ok, how about a nice steamy scene behind the infamous, much maligned shower curtains?
Or, snuggled up on the couch, asleep?
No, on the infamous bed! yeah

Ok, need to chill a bit here heh

An Abercrombie & Fitch ad would have at least one of the guys without a shirt, if not both Jo and "Sebastian." That would have been nice. Mustard comes in a tube like that in Germany? Interesting. It comes in plastic or glass bottles here, at least generally. Good tomato paste comes like that, otherwise it looks more like an oil paint tube to me. I rather doubt they are assaulting him with a sausage and a tube of paint, however. Mustard makes sense, just wouldn't really have thought of mustard in that sort of packaging. Yeah...tomato paste or anchovy paste, and wasabi paste, but mustard? Good to know because I too thought, what, they have paints out on a picnic? heh Geoff

Yeah, I had to double check the starspage for a name to face match! He looks quite hunky without the scowl and combed-down hair. Since this was a quick break between scenes, maybe his look will match this more? Look at Thore doing the muscle-man hold on the poor guy heh. Mighty handsome Of course, Jo looks handsome regardless of what he's doing and you know how I feel about Kris---so beautiful. Nice quick-fix for those of us in Ollian withdrawal! Thanks! Geoff

Or did you mean the tangled mess on the guy's head? I thought the messy look was dead?
Or, both?

Not only does the shaved head bring out CONSTANTIN's good looks, he also learned how to dress well in the meantime. Eegads those are some terrible outfits in those photos. He's got lovely hair but unfortunately, I don't think it does much for him when he has it. Ok, I take back my suggestion that he grow his hair out a bit! No, no. He must keep the look he has now over this monstrosity! ;D His current look is a thousand times better. Geoff

Well, mostly, I have lyrics available---not true epic poems. Alqualonde needs to be continued.
If you don't mind lyrics, sure, I can do those. I've been thinking of a new one to commemorate my recently awesome news. I have the music for it mapped out a bit.

heyyas, neand48!
I'm glad you liked it. It is a bit short. I used an alliterative style specifically designed to 'show case' how English sounds phonetically. It's an old English mode normally used for tale-telling. Good of you to pick up on that.
Writer, yes. Not published, though. I write lyrics, stories, poems and so on. Musician and artist as well.
Happy you enjoyed it. So, have you read the Silmarillion?

I think what pains him the most is that he keeps getting obvious offers from women who don't realize he is gay and want to date him. So it's not that he is not popular, it's just he attracts the wrong target audience ;D But good to hear that about online services. I have heard good things about those in regards to male/female couples meeting there, so good to hear that it's the same for gay couples. Yikes! Yes, I know how he feels. That's the most awkward, annoying thing to have to go through. Not bragging, but all my life I've had to deal with women coming on to me in this manner---even when they KNOW I'm gay. Highschool was a nightmare for me. Geoff

heh.
I think he really wants a long-term relationship. This is a struggle I went through myself recently (after 11 years purposefully removed from the scene). I'd suggest an online service (free---but there are pay sites as well) where you can casually meet people and get to know them before meeting. Of course, be very careful.
That's how I met someone recently. The first meeting was, of course, awkward. He's a nice guy, but so far, my complete opposite on certain key issues. On other issues, we have the same tastes (like music and politics and religion). I'm not quite certain if this is going to work, yet!
I've a new platonic Gay friend and he advises: just enjoy the good feeling you are having for now and see if what you dislike changes. If it doesn't, then you can move on, etc.
For your friend, just tell him to take it slowly and stick to his standards. I believe there's a ghost of a chance to find someone to love (RUSH).
;D

I do love a good villain, I admit. I'd rate Olivia somewhat mediocre as an arch-villainness. She's not completely socio-pathic, as she is somewhat redeemed by her honest 'love' or fondness for Oliver. Her compulsion to blackmail or threaten to reveal secrets being her only crimes that I, myself, have seen.
Of course, I know there is a longer history I don't know. Once I find all that out, no doubt my opinions of this character will change. True sociopaths I cannot empathize with on any level (Lord Voldemort, for example) and I typically despise them. Oh, and this Wolle character: sleazy, money-grubbing manipulator. He doesn't care about the men in his employ, only what money they can bring to him. This kind of character I'll never 'like' and hope, eventually, he gets what he deserves.
As for other's opinions: I love discussion and debate. I appreciate other's views---mainly because they tend to be smarter and better expressed than my own (like lola and Bchick). I learn a lot from others---and never lapse into scorn (unless I am speaking to a bigot or religious fanatic; in which case, I'll do my best to ignore them with all my power, first. If they persist, then yeah, I can become ill-mannered with the best of them! ;D )
Anyway, thanks for enduring my rambling. I just received some excellent, awesome, gigantic news which has lifted a huge burden from me today! WOOOT!)
thanks Geoff

So far, the most humorous questions I've gotten from straight guys about being Gay is: So, do you think I'm attractive? LOL! It's happened every time so far and I never know how to answer this. Especially if they are a friend. Geoff What about this, been there twice already: After just coming out to a female friend, one of the first questions I got was "Do you think my boyfriend if hot?... I can't trust my (female) friends opinion, but a gay man should know" And in both cases the boyfriend was indeep hot. Yes! One of the women I talked to in my little story fished around about this to me. I haven't answered it, yet. I'm going to wait until she actually says the words. For the record, yes, her husband is a very attractive man. I'll happily tell her so if she dares to actually ask me. heh heh heh Geoff

In the arena of friendship---yes. This is becoming increasingly difficult to resolve, for me. I now understand why most of my friends have been straight men: for me, there was no possible misunderstanding about my motives. I've always told straight guys that I have decided I want as friends that I am Gay and that I am not attracted to straight men. Every time, so far, the situation has turned out well. Straight guys talk to me about things they would never talk to their lovers or straight friends about. They, so far, don't have any problems showing platonic affection: hugging, for example. Now, I am in the process of meeting Gay Men. And, for the first time in my life, I am truly feeling the need to do so. I've already met someone who is fast becoming someone I love (which is another topic--having been non-social for many, many years, I feel I need to take this very slow); therefore, any other Gay Men I meet, I just want friendship, nothing more. Surprisingly (to me at least) this is turning out to be much more difficult. I am not sure of all the nuances yet, but apparently, we must act standoffish in order to be sure our significant others do not become jealous or to be sure we do not convey the wrong meaning... It's soooo much more complex than just having a straight male friend. Straight women friends are rather easy---especially when they find out I'm Gay. So far, they are really intrigued. I have made one very good Gay friend recently. He's from Germany. Once we met and realized we weren't attracted to each other, then we relaxed and have just become really good friends. I love him dearly as a friend (very much realizing that you do not say this to German People--because it simply has much more profound meanings than the English phrase. Ich mag, Ich mag!). I'd do anything for him, anything. We talk about our new 'guys' and how we should feel at a given moment---whether we are going too fast or too slow. If I get too stressed about my situation, he brings me back down to earth. In short, he's become a very good friend. I am tired of being around only straight people! I want to have more Gay friends Geoff PS: sheepie, thank you for telling us this. No, I don't think you are fishing for sympathy. You just needed to share your feelings. Thank you for doing so, my friend

VL writers are known to be particularly stubborn when it comes to continuing unpopular storylines even at the outrage of the fans. Examples of this include Sarah/Leonard cheating on Jana and Gregor, Susanne falling in love with Lars while married to Carla or now Sebastian cheating on Lydia with her mother Katja. VL is also shot two months in advance, so even if they listened to the opinions of the fans NOW it would only have an impact two months or more in the future. And it seems that the writers have taken some lesson from the dislike of Fabian as the actor is leaving (no news yet on whether both actor and character are leaving). Most other VL places I have seen seem to have mostly indifference to the storyline (at least compared to the dislike Sarah/Leonard and Katja/Sebastian inspire), and particular dislike and mocking of the actor and the character of Fabian. I agree. It's the time lag filming verses airing. They don't have the luxury of instant response to viewer polls. Geoff

I'm not sure what you mean. Obviously the various straight couples like Lydia and Sebastian, Judith&her boys, Lars/Nathalie/Ansgar get equal screentime to the gay storylines. And again, this isn't exacly VL's first gay storylines. If they were to be known as a gay soap it would certainly be over Carla who was a front burner lesbian character for the last 5 years. ahh, again, there is so much I don't know. I was just trying to say, perhaps the writers will put forward Judith's story regardless of public reaction simply because they wish to ensure that VL is not classed as 'just a gay soap'. Based on what you just said, though, I must conclude that actual resources have been spent on this story (Judith and her woes) and they now have no choice but to continue with it---despite the general disdain of the fans. Or, the writers really like what they are seeing and intend to defy the ratings---which I simply can't believe. Maybe the viewers in Germany have a different take on this story than those of us on this forum? Geoff

I'm all for for reading stuff into small scenes, but this is one that didn't bother me. It strikes me as an obvious case the show being practical about how they fit scenes together. They do an outdoor shoot and only take two actors, so they pretend that the third one is "right around the corner". Which is poked out of continuity even further because meanwhile Olli was having scenes at his job at Schneiders (and surprisingly un-sore if I might add). That said, I've been thinking for a while, do we really need have all the I love Judith scenes for example on the blog? If Judith might through some nightmare really ended up as the next Vanessa, do we really want to give them free advertising so to speak? Having them here to discuss them makes sense, but for example, I wouldn't give it its own topic. Interesting, lola. I wonder: do you think the writers are just trying to make sure that a 'straight' couple is given equal billing so VL isn't or cannot be accused of simply being a 'gay soap' ? If we believe that the writers listen to us (and other sites) when they see the popularity of O&C and how negative most of the reaction is to J&F&C---then we probably need to re-evaluate our suppositions, eh? I see a great deal of negative commentary about Fabian on the main blog---so much so that I simply refuse to read it. The guy is NOT horrible looking and he doesn't look like Sam the Eagle. He's cute: teenage boy cute. Yet, many say otherwise. And, despite any of that, the VL writers clearly intend to make this story happen. I'm not used to being a TV soap fanatic, so my views may be way off. Geoff

re ELROHIR25: "...PART TWO: Elrohir-Olli's approach Upon finally catching up to the wayward Christian (and catching his breath), Elrohir-Olli embraces Chris gently, smiling disarmingly. "Christian. My sweet, sweet Christian..." he says, "you know how I feel about you, right?" Even thought the writers haven't let me say so directly yet, you know I love you right? And that your determination, and your love of sport are two of the many things that I love about you? And that I support you totally in your ambition to be the best steroid-free boxer the world has ever seen, right? Good!" Elrohir-Olli playfully caresses Christian's powerful biceps, and lifts his gaze to look deeply into his partner's incredible, shimmering blue eyes. "You also need to know, my Little Tiger (hope you don't mind if I borrow this aldebaran! ), that if you ever, ever, even dream of deliberately humiliating me like that again, you can find somebody else to get off on feeling Ann Coulter superior to." Elrohir-Olli smiles sweetly at his Mann. "OK? Good. Let's smooch..." ROFL!!! Great, Elro! ;D Geoff

Yeah, I'm thinking this is too serious here. Playful competition, yeah, that's ok occasionally---but not constantly.
Christian really seemed to be enjoying his little joke. Now, he'll have to make it up to Oli

I think that sounds like the best explanation for that, but Christian leaving Olli in the dust in today's (Jun. 2 nd) episode, and then laughing about it to Judith, seems much less innocent to me! If my athletic bf "persuaded" me to go running with him, saying basically "no you can't cycle along, you have to run, too," and then just left me behind because I couldn't keep up, we'd be having a reeeaaally serious relationship talk when I finally caught up with him! Bad Christian!!! A boss of mine once explained that there are things he called "core personality traits", which are attributes that people have which are very fundamental to their personalities and which you generally cannot train out of them no matter what you do. So you must either work around them or learn to cope. Christian is a jock, and jocks are competitive. It's a basic part of jock nature. They wouldn't (indeed couldn't) be jocks if they weren't competitive. So it's not really surprising that Christian takes a kind of perverse pleasure in leaving Olli in the dust. Proving his athletic superiority is something he's naturally prone to do. Looking at the clip he's got that same mischievous boy look on his face that he usually gets when he does something slightly childish and naughty. I remember a similar expression on his face one time when he snuck up on Coco and startled her from behind the sofa. Presumably Olli likes this about Christian or else he wouldn't be attracted to him. However, he can always retaliate by arguing that he's now too sore and tired to have sex. Know what? You're right. This reminds me of one of my boyfriends, years and years ago. He was a Marine and was obsessed with 'jokes' like this: stealthing up to me remaining undiscovered, flipping on to his hands to walk, even picking me up and carrying me around (not easily done, as I'm 6'+ and in good shape, myself)---always had to be 'better'. It became annoying as hell heh heh Let's hope Oli doesn't begin to get irritated with this nonsense heh ;D Geoff
