Looking forward to this. So rare to have a BL outside of the university setting

Just caught up with latest episode.
Type's job situation didn't even take 5 minutes to resolved. Why bother building it up anyway? They could at least taken this episode to explore the fallout of Type's action and what it means for him to quit. They could have resolved this in a later episode. Instead, everything got wrapped up, ending this plotline in a show that is already very depleted in plot.
Has Tharn always been so manipulative or is that something new after the 7 year jump? First he engineered a jealousy episode with Type, then he secretly meddle with Type's job. It isn't even necessary to inject Tharn into Type's job situation. It was perfectly fine to have Doc be concerned enough to do something about Type's boss.
Fiat is still acting like a preteen more than someone who is in his late teen/early twenties (?). All his outburst feels like they come from a 10 year old more than an university student. Also, why in the world did Type even bring Fiat to a club to "talk". The talk really should have taken place at a coffee shop or even in the lobby of Type's building (if they don't want a new set). The fact that Fiat keep pushing Type to drink, I was starting to worry the drink was drugged. And then he just abandoned Type at the bar?!?! And long enough for Tharn who is "out of town to learn regional music" to get back to town?!?
All the other side characters have disappeared into the ether again.

Agreed. While it is good that they didn't shy away from depicting gay sex compared to hetro sex, the relationship between Shane and Oren was very unhealthy. The only thing I am glad is that they didn't try to force the Shane/Oren thing in the end.

Loving it so far. Always love these soul mark tropes.

The other (more minor) trend was for Body Swap types of films - there were several Chinese webseries that did this, one of the History films from Taiwan and several Thai shows (most recently the Thai show, The Shipper) where a girl trades bodies with a boy, which then usually gives her the opportunity to explore a relationship with a guy. The History series that explored this, My Hero - delightfully had the girl realize that her boyfriend didn't love her but instead loved the boy she had been swapped into (an accident where a reaper had mistakenly reaped her when he meant to reap the boy and so shoved her soul into the boy's body). I think these are all designed for young women to enjoy. I am not too concerned about the trend in body swap. It is a well known trope and there will be bound to be some of those stories made into dramas. Likewise, soulmate-signs are also a common trope, and I assume there will be a few of those coming out in the future starting with Color Rush form Korea But yah, BL has always been a niche that originated from Japan geared towards women. The media in Asia that is geared toward gay men tend to be LGBT films meant for film festivals. Even with SOTUS, which arguably started off BL in the mainstream for Thailand, is still geared toward women. What it seems to do differently is that the show is more targeted for the mainstream and the company actually promoted the actors as BL actors, developing their "ship". Prior to that, actors tend to treat BL as an one off where they might do a bit of press in niche media and then forget about afterwards. As fans showed they were willing to pay to attend in-person fan meets of their ships and to pay for merchandise, GMMTV started investing more heavily into BL, which eventually got other production companies to do the same when they see the profit. With the internet, the popularity of BL extended to other Asian countries, which resulted in fan meets for the BL actors in other countries. This probably prompted local production companies to realize that BL is a viable and profitable niche. With the pandemic, there was a large uptake in media consumption with everyone in lockdown, which is probably why we getting shows like Gameboys, which allow these companies to dip their toe in BL to gauge the popularity of BL. Personally, I think that the current approach by most non-Thai production companies are unsustainable. Most of the shows are one-offs, doesn't seem to promote the actors are a brand and there doesn't seem to be a lot of merchandising opportunities (Which while annoying in Thai BL, is also what make a lot of their shows viable to produce). Long term, I think most non-Thai production companies won't see the profit they expect, and will start cutting down on BL content until eventually it dries up and go back to the previous situation.

I feel so bad for Na. He is so precious and pure. I really hope he gets some kind of happy ending since he won't be paired with Chon in the end.
I want to support Chon and Tonhon, but I am struggling to see why they even like each other much less any redeeming factors for them. Tonhon is overbearing and violent. Chon is whiny and is pretty willing to play games in order to get what he wants, though he could be kind at times. It just make it hard to cheer on them getting together

Some additional info based on casting calls for the male leads (character names may have changed): - BRAD - “A boundary pushing, sexually fluid, pleasure seeker, who loves testing the limits of his control.”
- STEVE - “Insanely rich, but with an idealistic worldview of a saint.”
- TIM - “A student who skates both as a sport and away from conflict. Unfortunately, his home life is full of said conflict and leaves him having to take care of himself most of the time.”
Tim is pretty obviously Evan Mock. I'm leaning towards Eli Brown being Steve, so Thomas Doherty sounds like he may be Brad. (Unfortunately, while he is a regular, he is not one of the principal protagonists - that would be Eli.) Seems like your guess was correct. Sad that he is not the principal protagonist, but hopefully he gets more screen time than Eric did in the original. Also, I hope sexual fluid doesn't just means he sometimes kiss guys in parties or something, but he will eventually end up with a girl anyway cause they always have to end up pairing the cast together.

I'm surprised they didn't continue with Love Victor. As long as they integrate the pandemic into the storyline, it shouldn't be too hard to produced while following corvid health regulations. The cast is fairly small, and they can limit the locations as long as the show takes place in corvid times.

Sounds good. All the Korean BL tends to be good so far. They always end up being way too short though

That is a massive cast, and at least 4 couples based on the background. Not sure how they can fit that within the usual 13 episodes.

Such a sad finale. I keep hoping for a happier ending, but I guess life is not always happy. This finale just make me so emotional.
I do like the scene after the credit. It leaves the audience with the message that regardless of how sad and tragic your life is, everything heals with time. It doesn't mean that you will never find joy again. I guess with the after credit scene, it effective close off any possibility of another season.

Assuming they already filmed the next episode, seem weird to hold it hostage. Especially since they are hoping for a 3x increase in subs.

Nice that there is some kind of plot with TharnType, but kinda late to start plot in ep7. Not to mention the other characters are still very deep in the background.

Huh, they started tackling this sooner than I thought. Thought they will drag this out as much as they can. I still much rather Chon be paired with Na than Ton though

Can't wait til the next series where they can be the main pairing without sharing it with anyone else. Tommy looks more like the intern than Jimmy in that trailer though.

I think they did the best they can. The time gap between the concert and Saifah being sick is just too short to drag this out for too much. I also feel like the original storyline involved a lot more people being in on the prank, something they can't do with all the covid restrictions. You can tell they struggled to depict a thriving university in the special (the Uni looks completely dead).
At least they filled in this gap cause it was always weird they went from the concert to no sign of them for multiple episodes until one sick Saifah scene. There is also the gap after the sick Saifah scene, but I guess that gap isn't as important to fill in.
Considering how much of a mess WRU end up being, I highly doubt there will be a S2 even when corvid restrictions are over. The only way forward I can see would be if they jettison every side couples. That way, they don't have to address all the gaping holes in their storylines. The biggest hole is the one with Blue being enemies with his teammate and the finale they are suddenly together. Maybe they go with "out of sight, out of mind"?

Not really. The issue all seem to stem from the production company. The company been extremely toxic this entire time, so I am not surprised all these issues come up.

There is still very little happening. TharnType isn't really progressing or regressing. They are just there. Good for a normal couple, but kinda boring for a drama.
Not even sure why they introduced the neighbours and the influencer stalker since they barely appear and don't do anything. Is TharnType2 a welfare program for out of work actors?
Surprisingly enough, it is the Fiat storyline that actually moved the most. Fiat is still acting like a little kid, but at least the fight showed more of the personality of Fiat and his friend
Does anyone know how many episodes is supposed to be TharnType2?
