I enjoyed the first episode so will definitely stick with it. It's already looking more adult than its parent series which is no bad thing.
I was a bit uncomfortable with the ending but I'm hoping that nothing more happened than maybe Tharn giving Type a hickey or taking some seemingly compromising selfies to teach him a lesson. If its gone further than that I'll just have to shrug it off. I've seen enough BL series now to know that 'taking advantage while drunk' and 'it's not rape because we're both guys' is a common trope that's deemed as perfectly acceptable.

I kind of feel, being on a "grownup" channel, they can use that freedom to do depict something OTHER than sexual assault. Like nudity, or a more explicit (consensual) sex scene.

yeah i know what you mean but its actually written that way in the book, though i remember being less creeped out reading it that watching it, but i don't know if that was how it was acted and shot compared to the set up in the book or my memory. but we shall see i haven't watched the second episode yet.

Even though I knew what was coming I still wasn't ready. It was well acted though.

I have say I've been really gripped by this series so far, and even though I am also following a few other BL series at the moment, it is the next episode of this that I look forward to seeing the most. I do admit there are still a few minor things to do with attitudes and plot development that don't sit well with me but they aren't deal-breakers and I readily accept that it probably has more to do with me seeing things from a 'western culture' point of view than anything else. I think Mew (Tharn) and Gulf (Type) have great chemistry together and make all their scenes believable, especially some of those overtly cutesy moments that could easily come across as cringy. The other actors too, are all good and I prefer them to their counterparts in Love By Chance. Mild (Techno) with his exaggerated facial expressions and mannerisms is a hoot, while Kokliang (Tar) comes across as so haunted and vulnerable that I just want to keep giving him a hug every time he's on screen. I gather we are now going to get one or two newly added episodes viewing everything from Lhong's point of view before we get to see the final story episode. My guess is that this breakup will turn out to be a huge double-bluff arranged by Type and Tar, without Tharn's knowledge, to expose Lhong for the duplicitous swine he really is. Oh, and finally on an incredibly shallow note, I must mention Tum and his jeans. If I was in his class I'd be too captivated by him to learn anything!

Just finished watching the last episode and have to say I've really enjoyed this series. I feel quite sad it's over. Thank goodness too, that I didn't let the slightly uncomfortable first few episodes put me off as once the story settled down and got going, it developed into my most anticipated show of the week. The fluffy stuff was cute, the kisses (especially the ice kisses) were sexy, the comedy (mainly provided by Techno) was entertaining and the drama revved up to become gasp-inducingly dramatic, which I think was great. In fact, I was so completely swept up by the scenes of Lhong's downfall in the finale, that I ended up shouting at the screen like one of those mad OTT reactors you see on YouTube! I know the show wanted us to have a little bit of sympathy for Lhong as they went out of their way to show how his own (perceived?) loveless past had warped his world view and precipitated his obsession with Tharn, but I just couldn't get past the awful things he'd done. Hiring three thugs to gang-rape a 15 year old boy and film it to then blackmail him; plus being about to bash Type's brains out with a rock, were actions just way too evil for me to elicit any empathy for him. Actor Kaownah was great in the role though. The only loose end for me was that we didn't get to see Type make up with the childhood friend who came out to him back at the family hotel, although I assume that will be covered in the special episode that's going to be on the dvd box set which I gather is going to centre around Type introducing Tharn to his parents. Oh well, suppose all that's left now is to get used to all of these characters changing their faces again for Love By Chance 2 later in the year.

are either of the actors gay IRL? Maybe? Back when Mew was doing What the Duck - there were rumors about him and Art. This clip tries to objectively describe that mess, where Art seems to have outed Mew during some disagreement that they had: Again, not speaking any Thai nor seeing any statements from the actors, I have no idea what the truth is.
