Oooh...did Murray win??!! Yay! I have won some money. ;D Should have watched it really. Bad me. Had third nosebleed in the shower. Not a pretty sight. Looked a bit like that scene from Pyscho. I feel grumpy when I haven't slept...so off to bed for me and hope I do not get another nosebleed in the night! (Where do these things come from?)

I squeaked with excitement when I saw this board!!! I am a big Brothers and Sisters fan although I've had to track down Season Two online because it's still not been shown in normal TV in the UK...grrr! I love Kevin and Scotty as a couple. I think they balance each other out and therefore work well together. I found Scotty likeable from the start even though I could see how he could be a little irritating, but he just appealed because he seemed so open and happy and playful. I was sad at the end of Season 1 but they have a much healthier relationship now and needed another Season to get to that stage. I look forward to Season 3 - and my copy of Season 2 on DVD!!

I spent my entire Saturday afternoon watching Max and Iago subbed clips! I'm not finished yet but my curiosity got the better of me so I pretty much know what's going to happen. Just wanted to pop in and say how much I enjoyed them and think I have another contender for my favourite couple!!

There isn't much I want to add to this thread but I did want to say that I do not think that just because JP loves Craig (and I believe he does) that this does not mean he did not love Kieron. But I think the two relationships were completely different. I don't believe that you can only love one person.
As a long-standing viewer of Hollyoaks (from the very first episode) I'm not particularly pleased at the way this storyline as affected the characterisation of JP or Craig. This is not to say I disliked the McDean pairing (and I sobbed like a baby when it first ended) but to me both JP and Craig became slightly less endearing in what originally seemed to me to be a kind of selfish and deceitful relationship. I want more than anything for the characters to have a happy ending but I do hope that their good qualities that made them so likeable in the first place are not sacrificed in the process.

Hey guys! Actually had some decent sleep this weekend although sudden attack of nosebleeds today! Don't know where they came from (well, my nose, obviously but you know what I mean). Anyway, that means I should be able to be on here and making sense now I am no longer sleep deprived and grumpy.

Thought I'd just add my thoughts here. A friend of mine actually asked me this recently when I'd been rabbiting on about VL and Shelter and Hollyoaks for ages, so I repost what I sent to him at the time.
Although, just to add, my love of Hollyoaks stems from being a huge fan of the soap since its beginning, not just for the JP stories.

Well I decided to take my mind off of HO for a while (I found my brother watching it on Channel 4 earlier so caught the end again! Afraid I was rather over emotional and silly again!! ) So, I watched Lost in Austen with Jemima Rooper. It made me wonder if anyone here had ever seen the TV series As If? ^I know that was a pretty random question but I did enjoy it. Been trying to find some clips of it to direct people to but can't at the moment. Grrr!!!

I don't think Kieron's death made sense from the stand point of Kieron threatening to tell Myra that Niall is her son. Really, Kieron had no right or duty to tell Myra about Niall. If Bob Smith, who Kieron doesn't know, was Myra's son, and he decided that he didn't want to have a relationship with Myra, Kieron wouldn't have the right to tell Myra your son is Bob Smith and you can find him working in the SU Bar. Kieron who keeps everyone's secrets, wouldn't have outed Niall, if that's not what he wanted. Kieron would have urged Niall to come clean, but he wouldn't have threatened to out him himself. I think you're right with your assessment of Kieron's character. Unfortunately that's the logical and rational conclusion to come to and I don't think "logical" and "rational" are words that can be applied to Niall's character. It makes sense for an exposed and panicked Niall to remove the perceived threat (poor Kieron). The fact that this would also hurt a McQueen was a bonus for him. And so, we have to say goodbye to Kieron.

And then raged because I spoilt the storyline for him. louisa You spoilt the storyline for him? It was still playing...I only managed to get as far as saying "Keiron..." I think it's time you take sheepie up on his offer. He's got thousands of sheep up there... Failing that, I'd fall asleep on the journey there. Hmmm, better not drive then. I am very lucky... as soon as my head hits the pillow (and regardless of the kind of day I've had) I'm gone. I am madly jealous of you now.

His behaviour is odd. I find it hard to believe that he wanted to work for the Snyder Foundation that much that he pursued Lucinda and is now slowly backing off because he has the job. Besides he nearly jeapordised his job by suggesting Nuke go back into the closet, so I don't think this is his motivation. He's not really exhibiting a "golddigger vibe" unless he's trying to divert suspicion by backing off in the hope that Lucinda might 'pursue' him. Or is he a plot device character sent by Colonel Pyscho from his underwater kingdom/beyond the grave/whereever to try and split Nuke up?? Or does he just want to snuggle up to both the guys in the coziness of a tent underneath the stars? Or is that just me?It is a good thing that Jake and Van are so pretty and that Nuke had such cute interactions because I think my brain would otherwise explode focusing on Brian so much.

Louisa - I hope you post your thoughts about the episode in the HO section AND I hope you got some rest last night. I had some wine (well, the whole bottle), while watching this week's clips in one sitting. I tend to avoid the HO boards because some of the people frighten me with their militancy! I think a bottle of wine may have been a wise idea...it would have numbed me slightly! Or made me sleep too. I slept most of the day today, which is a pain because I shan't sleep tonight now!!! GRRR!

Thought I'd watch the Hollyoaks clips at two o clock this morning (usually I wait and watch the whole episode on Channel 4) but I thought it would give me something to do whilst I couldn't sleep. Boy was that a mistake! I was a complete wreck. And then my brother found me sobbing over my keyboard. And then raged because I spoilt the storyline for him.

Mmmmh. If the writers/producers/P&G/whoever think that America might have a problem with the guys having sex why not let Luke follow Noah to Italy. There they could have as much sex as they want because I'm quite sure the italiens won't have a problem with it. ;-) Oooh, good plan! He could take Lucinda's plane and be there in five seconds flat.

Brian confuses the heck out of me and I can't figure him out. I do not like it. What is up with him? Grrrrr!!! I know he wanted to set up the dinner table etc but it seems out that he'd duck out of the first lot of mushroom hunting. I mean, he seems to be the one who knows about mushrooms so surely he should have accompanied them on their first mushroom hunting trip? I have decided I do not like him and even if he turns out to be an angel I will still dislike him.

Hey guys! Not sleeping again Thought I was going to sleep earlier but in my car, driving so not such a wise idea. The radio seemed to consist of: 1) News about Sarah Palin 2) A study into the costs of prostitutes in the UK, Neither of which particularly interested me. I was trying to find a radio station playing music or something but nothing! Had to sing to myself to keep myself awake. And yet...now... ^I realise I have just blurbed a whole lot of nothing about myself. I am sleep deprived and bored I think. x

Also spoiler coded for those who might consider this a spoiler... Ooooh that Brian makes me seeth (<is that even a word?) I just want to shake him till he rattles. Why doesn't he have his own tent?!?!
I guess I'll have to wait until the episode airs before I can really comment. At least the current storyline is getting more of a reaction from me at least. After a while whenever Ameera appeared all I could think was "meh."

Louisa - it's great to have another Brit in the chat thread - you can come and count my sheep, that might put you to sleep ;D I may have to take you up on that! Will have to muster the willpower to switch off the computer and force myself to do algebra or something. That ought to send me off quick enough!

Thank you guys! I actually didn't get to sleep until gone three o clock this morning! I don't know what it was but I just couldn't sleep As for Daniel Radcliffe...well I think he's taking the "it's polite to share" idea a little too far there! Although you have to wonder what questions people are asking him. Still, good for him wanting to play a drag queen and declaring it!! I am now going to go and do something incredibly boring (don't know what yet) to see if I can make myself so bored I'll sleep tonight!

I know that Axel is not the brightest crayon in the box but does he really want to get arrested? I mean, he returns to places he has been barred from, makes numerous threats and brags about his assault on Olli. Now I am aware that he was angry and looking for Olivia in this instance, but surely the wisest thing for someone who has so far escaped trial for their crime to do would be to keep your head down and lay low for a while, not drawing attention to yourself in this aggressive and irritating manner? Unless, of course, being arrested would be such a status symbol for Axel that he's pursuing it. Of course, this would all make sense if they were real people but I guess it wouldn't make as interesting TV. And we wouldn't get to see Olivia do her stuff!
I may be back to comment further when I've seen the subbed episode!! Keep up the good work peeps.

Luke and Noah have suffered with poor, irritating and downright outrageous storylines and they have been rather absent this summer. However, I have been remarkably patient at sticking with their storyline in the hope of some sort of resolution. I'm not even demanding that they have a sex scene yet. What I'd like to see is more explortation of their relationship together without having to involve either a family crisis or some sort of outside influence: At the moment (or so it feels) their only screentime is at a family event or along comes Ameera or Brian or even Colonel Psycho to block their relationship (Brian had me absolutely infuriated the other week and I don't usually lose my rag over the TV). As I don't watch the rest of the storylines on ATWT I can't really comment on Nuke's airtime and storyline in comparision with other couples on the soap. I know what I'd like to see but, in all honesty, as long as Nuke are there I will probably watch if only because I am an eternal optimist and hold out hope for a happy ending for them.

Hi everyone! I'm just gatecrashing in here (sorry!) It's quite late here but as usual I am not sleeping whilst everyone else in the entire world (or so it seems) is. So I thought I'd just pop in and say hi.

Ooooh dear! Even I, with appalling knowledge of German can tell that this is not good for Olivia!! However, I am an optimistic person so I shall cling to the hope that this will be even worse for Axel. We know that Olivia usually looks after number one first (although, granted, she is trying to help Olli and Christian this time!) so I'd imagine she'll fight back, and probably fight dirty. Hopefully Axel won't know what's hit him (although that may enrage him further, first being beaten by a gay boxer and then by a girl. Hmmmm, maybe not such a good plan). On a sidenote, I rather like Thore's hair. It has something of a tousled, just-got-out-of-bed look. And that's just fine by me.

I have stayed up to watch this tonight!! Despite liking the playfulness and affection between my boys in the previous episode, I wanted so badly to beat Axel to a pulp for Axel to stop being so smug and arrogant and irritating that it kind of spoiled it for me Today, however, I am feeling much more optimistic. Although I hope that Axel won't try and sue for libel (is he that stupid/mean/pig-headed?). I am liking Carla's involvement though. I hope her friendship with Ollian continues after this story arc has ended, partly because I think they need to widen their circle of friends. And having such a powerful friend is a bonus! With regards to the boxers over trousers as mentioned above, I have to say it no longer has any appeal to me . I guess when you spend your days working with teenagers who show more than a small bit of their boxers (try most of it!) the only desire I have is to firmly pull their trousers up and put braces on them. Now I sound like mum. Anyway, thank you Nanna for the subs! I've been up far too long now but I can go to bed happy. x

That's all just a bit too much cliche and perfect worldfor me Hmmm that is true. It would be a bit too convienent. I dont know about you but I know I go to my bosses house and have a bad attitude once I find out they have done a back ground check on me (sarcasim ofcourse). He is a bit insufferable and arrogant! Ah! That's where I am going wrong. I have to say though that Nuke had a great episode today. They had really good chemistry and I liked the symbolism of Luke fixing Noah's tie. And then Noah said that back then he couldnt imagine his life with him and now he cannot imagine his life without him. How romantic is that. *sigh* God only knows when their next air date is... Those bits were what saved me from exploding with rage I think. Personally it was a very odd episode for me to watch: melting with the romantic sweetness of parts and then hopping with rage at Brian irritating the hell out of me. I guess I am just in a ranty mood at the moment!! Actually, with some of the things the Nuke storyline has thrown at us I am surprised this is my first rant. However, I do apologise for unleashing my venom on the world!
