Ok guys, wedding party update as promised. Near disaster in the morning when the zip on my dress broke and refused to do up. Luckily averted because I have been to a couple of weddings recently and did a quick outfit swap. Could have been much, much worse. Whole day was lovely. Bride and groom so gloriously happy and generally beaming about the place that if they weren't such lovely people I think I'd have been green with envy. Spent much of the ceremony eyeing up observing one of the ushers (married, it turns out though). Reception was great - food yummy but stuffed full after two courses and couldn't manage dessert. Plenty of room for wine though. Had one particular waiter always filling my glass and even when we went through to the bar he kept filling up my glass. Then I realised that the sort of over the shoulder angle he was pouring from gave him a very clear view down the front of my dress. Cheeky boy! But I got extra champagne out of it. ;D Spent much of the evening do tearing it up on the dancefloor with one of the groom's friends. After many bottles glasses of wine we slipped out so he could have a crafty smoke where he drunkenly confessed his unrequited love for the best man (which, considering the frequent adoring looks he'd given him I kind of expected). Sometimes I think I must have a big neon sign on my head that says "I'm lovely and sympathetic" because I always seem to get a gaggle of guys telling me about their problems with their boyfriends/girlfriends/crushes/work colleagues/parents/children. But he was a sweetie so I didn't mind. I'm not entirely sure what I said to him but when I left he gave me a big hug and told me I was fabulous. All in all a fab day. Kicked my shoes off fairly early on during the evening do (always a sign of a good evening) but still can remember things to tell you all! Still catching up on everything on the boards that I've missed so forgive me if I miss you out. Sheepie Shirtless BikeBoy scared me so much by appearing out of nowhere I barely had chance to admire the view. Spectacular or otherwise. Let's hope for more hot weather so I can make a proper assessment. floatilla I hope you are feeling better now. And I agree, there's no better medicine than a mum except maybe chocolate.rosie where have you disappeared to?? mom nice to see you back!! Shame about the fog. We had a foggy morning here yesterday but it cleared to glorious sunshine! ollian Did you go for Neon Geek Chic or the High Fashion London look for your high octane night out in the end? See you all later, got the munchies now!! xxxx

Hello rosiepeach! Welcome to the Chat Thread. For anyone who is following the new Nancy Drew and the Mystery of BikeBoy see update below! It's a rather long story. This morning I was about to go out when I realised that some kind neighbour had put their wheelie bin about two inches behind my car effectively trapping it and I needed to go out. So, I went to move it only to find that it was so heavy I couldn't shift it at all. So, there I was, pulling on the bin with both hands, really digging in, when out of nowhere a voice asks "Do you need a hand with that?" Naturally, I gave a huge shriek, having not seen anyone nearby, and whirled around to see a shirtless BikeBoy popping up beside me. Him: Sorry. Me: *incoherent noises* Don't do that to me! Him: Sorry, I was trying to fix my bike. At this point I realised the bike had been partially dismantled and BikeBoy had oily hands. Me: You scared me! BikeBoy apologised again and then moved the wheelie bin effortlessly out of the way for me, thereby making me feel like a complete nesh girlie (which I guess I am, but still). So, I thanked him and he beamed at me (very nice smile) then held out his hand and said "I'm Chris." So, I introduced myself and then had the strange thought that I could hear the Batman theme tune. No, not another dream! BikeBoy actually blushed a little and said "Oh, that's me" and pulled out his mobile phone from his pocket!!! He answered it, waved at me and wondered off. I was in such a complete daze that a) BatBikeBoy had the batman theme on his phone and b) that he actually had signal that I got in my car and drove off before I realised I still didn't know where he was staying. Still, part of the mystery solved. So, that was my fun/productive/dull/pointless day (delete as a appropriate). Be back soon after partying it up tomorrow (in a pretty dress)!!! xxx

Hey everyone! Have a Bike/BikeBoy update but will have to save it for a bit later when I am not running around like a headless chicken sorting things for tomorrow and mediating in family arguments!!!
May speak to you all later, or else after the wedding.

On the topic – from 10 pages ago – my halo may be a little crooked, but the horns keep it in place ; Ooooh...I'm with you on that one. Yes, I'm still here. And yes, it is nearly 4am here. Oh dear. Definitely going now. See you all later today!!! xxx

Ok...long story short... A guy, now known as BikeBoy, parked up on lucious motorbike outside my house a couple of days ago. BikeBoy = not at as pretty as bike (but not repulsive) seen from distance dismounting Bike. Has since disappeared. Not staying with either neighbours and has not been seen since. Is odd here as we're a tight village community and everyone knows everything. So, have become Nancy Drew trying to uncover true identity of BikeBoy. (Yes, this is how I pass my time now!)
ETA: Crikey, this thread is dead compared to last night. Got home too late obviously...is that tumbleweed I see drifting by? May finish my glass of wine and go to bed soon, so I'll see you all tomorrow (where I shall continue my investigation and be excited about upcoming wedding party!!!)

Hi guys! Bit later than I thought I'd be...got sent out on scavenger type hunt with a group of 8 girls who were truly squealy and horrendous tonight. All leaders went straight to pub afterwards to calm nerves. Say hi to my nice cool glass of white wine that accompanies me this evening!!!
Update: Bike still outside. Still no BikeBoy. Frustrating now.

After reading number one, I nearly stopped reading number 2 after the word teacher "When I was doing my teacher..." Luckily, I kept going. "Oh, phew, that was a close one." Well, past potentially embarrassing near-misread onto to the actual embarrassment, and you had me chuckling. Oh no! Yes, I think carrying on with that sentence is far better than stopping in the middle of it. I thought for one horrifying moment that I had actually missed the word "training" out when I started reading that. That WOULD have been embarrassing.

Louisa Youtube let me down. I wanted to find a clip of the movie Grease 2. There's a song called "Who's that guy?" They're all wondering about the mystery bikerboy. I kept thinking about it during your story. ;D (Embarrassing confession: Grease 2 was my absolute favorite movie when I was little. I still know all the words and still love it.) I think I vaguely remember that song. I certainly remember Cool Rider So, I went out of my house and saw BikeBoy on the Bike looking deceptively cute/hot/fit (delete as appropriate) in his leathers. I said "hi" and he removed his helmet to reveal...Batman. As in a Batman mask. Just as I was thinking that was a bit weird I woke up!! Now my curious imagination is turning ordinary, but unknown, BikeBoy into dark, mysterious and sexy BatBikeBoy and making him stalk my dreams. (Aside: what shoes does Batman wear? Batboots? Batshoes?)Anyway, in REAL news: My mum's first voice therapy session has been scheduled so she should soon be well on her way to full recovery and can shout at me to get off the computer like she used to. Whilst we're sharing embarassing moments, here's a couple to add to the mix: #1: I was chatting to one of my friends (who has possibly the filthiest mind ever) about about when I went swimming and I said (without thinking) "I am just much better when I am on my back." Of course when he spat his drank out and laughed till he cried I realised that was probably not the best way of putting it! #2: When I was doing my teacher training one of the other student teachers was a PE student so he was always in his PE kit. Well I bumped into him in the town one day and didn't recognise him at first. THEN I said "Oh hi, I almost didn't recognise you with clothes on." I really should engage my brain before I speak. In other news: This is my 100th post!!!! YAY!!!!!!!!!! Now I am off to buy some milk so I can have a nice cup of tea. xxx

Uh, sure. I thought the Hardy Boys were pretty appealing myself. And I think that would make you Shaun Cassidy and Aldebaran Parker Stevenson, doesn't it? No further comment..... I never saw a series, just read the books... *** ETA - Ewwwww...!! Neither of them are pretty (thanks Google), I will continue to remember them as the fitties that my imagination created... Well, if we go waaay back you get Tim Considine (Frank) and Tommy Kirk (Joe). So, alternatives. Right. I am off to bed, or I shall fall asleep hoovering tomorrow. Or worse, when driving. See you all my lovelies. xx

Can I be Jo Hardy (except brunette - well and hairless)? And Aldebaran can be Frank (already brunette)? Of course! I'd be Dr Mark Sloan if I could, but think that's impossible.

Just had a quick peek outside. Bike shining slightly in moonlight. Assuming BikeBoy is in a bed somewhere. Not Miss Marple for several decades I think. Could be Nancy Drew maybe. Except brunette.
ETA: Edible halos. Now that's an idea. And you have just reminded me I have to put the bins out. Dammit.

The best one is fittie, as in 'Mmmmm... He's a bit of a fittie Actually, now I come to think about it 'hottie' was in vogue for a while.

We usually just go "he is..."*drool* So articulate! The kids always prefix "fit" with "well" as in: Them: Miss, do you think David Tennant is well fit? Me: Yes he is - er - well fit.

Well in this neck of the woods (literally, a wood) 'cute' is used to refer to babies and puppies. Hot refers to my cup of tea. Mmmmm...tea.
It's my birthday soon though and I shall be more adult. I say soon. Like, two months. I must be a child, I still get excited about my birthday!
