I don't think that changes Lalo's perspective. He never was willing to be out, with or without Flaco. Since Flaco pushed him away, he decided to focus on his career and all kind of things happened to make him even more scared of being found out. So he's already on that path.
I think the point of the picture plot was to highlight and confirm Flaco's position. He was at times considering telling the truth about himself (but not about Lalo, because he fears for his career as well). Chiqui had suggested it might be easier for him to come out, since he has an established career. And lately Lily told him she thinks he should tell the truth. So that was on his mind, and the picture scandal served the purpose of showing him and the audience how hard it would be and how he's out of options. It may be a bit easy for people who don't follow football to think he should come out, so they're showing what a taboo it is.

I'm glad someone else agrees with me about Lily's complete lack of facial expressions. She should be the one teaching poker face, right? Although I think it must be hard for an actor to unlearn how to act so he can be just like her And you're right, margie, if Nino dies, who will be commenting Flaco and Lalo's sex lives?

Okay, let's first see the options, as presented in that ad. One of those below is gonna die: 1. Tato 2. Arregui 3. Mia/Laura 4. Salgado 5. Nino 6. Flaco 7. Lalo 8. Sofía 9. Marga 10. Comisaria Riganti 11. Chiqui Now, let's see. I think we can rule out Mía and Chiqui. They're the protagonists, it's not gonna happen I think we can also rule out Tato and Marga - they're main antagonists and it's too early for them to go. It would disrupt many storylines and plot points. Arregui could go, but apparently he's holding a secret about Mía so I guess he has to stick around. And I don't see why he'd be killed at this point. It could be Salgado but as maya pointed out, it seems like he's staying for a little longer? May be him still. As for Nino... I wish I could rule him out like I did with Tato but I'm not so sure. I think it'd be a huge mistake for the show, since he's a great character and also if he dies, what happens to the murder investigations? They'd become a little pointless when the audience knows the murderer is dead. But the end of the last episode showed us he's in big trouble and the preview made me wonder... Maybe he's gonna go down fighting arrest? I hope not. Flaco and Lalo, I'm not even consider them, okay? ;D Then there's Sofía. By now you all know how much I want it to be her, right? I really hope so, but since she's still kind of new, I don't think it's gonna be her yet. And lastly, Riganti. She's just come to the show. I seriously doubt it's her. So, based on the fact that the preview shows us they're gonna focus on Nino next Tuesday, I'd say it's either him or Salgado. Nino could try to get away by having him killed? I don't know. I think my analysis is hurt by my bias on this one. I really don't want it to be Nino Or the boys, but I'm pretty confident it's not them

I was comparing his expression and behavior then to what he had done before, and I see a very visible improvement. In the last few episodes, his face has been much more obvious, and so were his actions. Compared to Flaco's reaction as well, his was a lot better, and he was completely caught off guard by the journalist with the picture thing. He does look uncomfortable, but not more than someone who doesn't like a topic. In my opinion, not more than I've seen many football players in many interviews.

Lol masonville. It was nothing nearly as elaborate - just stress, which is believable since Flaco has been freaking out for a while now. Early recap cause streaming worked. Tonight's episode confirmed some of our earlier lessons, solved some issues and, of course, brought us new lessons But first, let me add to last night's lesson 1 that Lalo tries too hard. Really Lalito, you're paranoid. There's no reason why anyone would suspect you of being gay. So as long as you don't go around kissing guys in the street you don't have to try to go extra macho, like when you greeted Flaco with that forced tone and punch to the shoulder. It's counter-productive: it makes people think you're overcompensating and therefore see exactly what you're hiding. Now onto tonight: 12. Salgado is a drama queen. Who knew? But trust me, the boring police officer threw the mother of all hissy fits 13. Further evidence of a past lesson: Nino is indeed obsessed with Lalo (and Flaco). There was no need to reply to Sofia that the reason he wouldn't poison someone is that he is no "putito" (sissy, also his new nickname for Lalo, as I said before) but, moreover, there was no need at all to follow that with "like Lalo and Riveiro." Can't get them out of your mind, Nino? We understand 14. Don't underestimate el Chiqui. I was worried he would react stupidly when denying the pic mess, but I was wrong Chiqui was great, first taking care of Flaco and then reacting all amused to the picture, while Flaco freaked out like crazy. 15. Anguila is still great. Mercedes asked him about Flaco and the picture and he totally covered it up with lame talk that successfully distracted her. 16. Another good cover-up, surprisingly, was Lalo's. He got his poker face ;D He did a pretty good job, in my opinion, of dismissing the picture and the rumors, when he was obviously caught by surprise. I'm so proud of you tonight, Lalito 17. Don't underestimate Nino and Tato. First I thought their reaction was a total failure - call a press conference? Why not just dismiss the whole thing like Chiqui wanted? You give rumors attention, they usually grow worse. I was wrong. Showing the whole photo sequence to the press and telling off the photographer was genius. Ibra's and Piqué's managers shoud've thought of that 18. Marga's accident may have made her nicer to some people, like Anguila, and given her a little of a conscience crisis, but no, it didn't make her any less homophobic 19. Now that Lalo has a poker face he should go tell Flaco where and how he got it, cause the guy sure needs it. However he did to hide his sexuality all these years, it certainly wasn't by looking as guilty as he did in front of the press tonight I'm willing to cut him some slack though cause he's going through a lot of shit, so it's understandable he's lost that confidence and cool attitude he used to have. 20. What seemed too good to be true was indeed so Mia/Laura is still with Drama Queen Cop and they still bore me to death. And so the answer to our question about Flaco's stalker was a lame photographer with a secret fantasy ;D On this show, that counts as a lot of luck. My wish tonight: Proofs against Nino? Say it isn't so. Nino can't go down now - it's too early! Lots of people could die/go to jail before Nino does. Lame people, like Sofia, or Salgado, and even Tato should go first. Not Nino, cause he's awesome, and has the funniest lines and expressions And I leave you guys on this sad note

Oh I forgot to translate Flaco's phrase Sorry. Te extraño, y vos? = I miss you. What about you? And Flaco in the pic scene is complaining about palpitations and cold hands. I'm not sure if he says chest pain - I'd have to check again. Thank you

Ok, laaate recap cause I couldn't watch it on streaming tonight. No comments on previews, as promised. First, can someone fill me in on Nino and Tato's evil schemes? They discussed it on yesterday's episode, but I didn't get a good part of what they said This episode started really slow and boring but it turned out to be full of win But before we get to that... Lalo, who by the way looked great all around in my opinion, had this talk with Tato about his career and Tato said he had to be discreet and even asked for confirmation that Lalo indeed got what he meant. Which brings us to our first lesson... 1. Lalo doesn't get it He says he does, and talks like he does, and try to acts like he does - pushing Flaco away, going around with his fake girlfriend, trying to mind what he does and how. But yet he fails. Really, he goes to a club with Josephina (in theory a good cover-up) and keeps looking guilty as hell and looking the other way *while* kissing her Really, Lalito?! Didn't see my advice yesterday, about working on your poker pace? At least later on drunken Lalo does a much better job of partying with the girl. Too bad he can't go around drunk 2. Anguila mystery is solved! I've been wondering for a while if Anguila knew about Flaco and Lalo. We know he knows about Flaco and men in Europe, and seemed to find it quite funny. Now we know better: Anguila is in on the "secret" (yeah, big surprise, I know) but nicer yet, he is totally cool with it. He's so cool he tells Flaco that "his friend Lalo" is in the club, well-accompanied and (yay) goes on to tell Flaco not to worry cause it's not a guy ;D I can't tell you how much I enjoyed this convo between those two, partly because... 3. The show does a great job of showing Flaco with his friends. So many gay characters on TV happen not to have close straight friends, and especially not any who are also physically close, in a non-sexual way, I mean. And here they talk, they hug, they sleep on each other's laps... 4. You know how we were complaining about Flaco's wardrobe? There's hope. I was thinking he looked great in a white shirt in bed and then... Yeah Flaco is going to the club! And yeah! He looks so hot! Thank you, costume department 5. Lesson 5 shouldn't be news but... Anguila is great! He just is. A great friend, too. Tells you where your love interest is at, what he's doing, tells you no to worry, ponders why (all the while scoring a threesome - that's my boy!). He tells you not to be jealous when Flaco looks adoringly so, and looks so interested in the whole thing. And then when you're about to do shit, he comes right in and save your ass. Much love. 6. Much love too, as always, to Nino, who can't understand how any sane person can say no to him and says so in a way that proves his point. No idea, Nino 7. Show has an awesome idea on what was behind that Ibra/Piqué picture Okay, not *as* awesome as what most people imagined, but still ;D Which brings us to tonight's question: - Who is this person stalking Flaco to get compromising pictures of him?!? And how can we kick his/her ass and/or buy the pics? Also, today's wish: I want a fancy whiskey bottle like old police offers share at the office at night Too good to be true: is that boring guy really gonna split with Mia/Laura? And if so, can she be bi and it comes up now that she's single? Please? One last thing, cute moment: when Flaco told Lalo "te extraño, y vos?" I guess that's it for tonight...

I meant the Ciqui/Flaco's picture, wich I didn't see in the episode this mornig.. anyway since it is in the preview it can be considered "spoliler-ish".. not a big deal anyway Yeah, that was in the preview... I'm sorry if that bothered those that don't watch it. I'll post comments of future previews on the spoilers thread from now on, ok?

Lol masonville. It's just that I'm in the same timezone as Argentina, so sometimes I watch the show live and that's quite early. But I'm also a night owl: I'm awake when they put up the episodes online as well, so either way I can comment So... tonight's episode was full of lessons First, Lalo is back! And I told you he was paranoid about the guards thing, cause we could see how well he was getting along with them A good chimarrão/mate and a talk about football... and then some gay jokes Lalo's gotta work on his poker face, don't you think? Which brings us to our first lesson... 1. Remember when the show was obsessed about Ricky Martin? Well, no more. Now they're obsessed with that Ibra/Piqué cute picture that was posted here some pages back First the guard talks about it like crazy (he seems very enthusiastic, despite the jokes, don't ya think ). But that's not nearly all, my friends! The show is gonna reenact the whole thing! There's gonna be a Flaco/Chiqui pic just like that! This could be fun - I just hope Chiqui doesn't go the homophobic route when denying. 2. Lily is cool(ish)! Yeah, I know, sounds crazy, but she thinks Flaco should come out and she wanted to tell their kids he's gay. She thinks it's okay and she even tells him she's gonna support him no matter what he does on this matter Now let's hope she goes a bit further and scolds Marga when she goes on her homophobic rants, shall we? 3. Tato and Nino's mad cover-up skills seem to be getting worse and worse with every new operation Really, have they used up all their mojo? At least Nino used his mad lawyer skills to get Lalo out 4. Remember when Nino seemed to be a bit too busy thinking about Flaco's body? That ship has sailed as well. Now he's obsessing over Lalo's sexuality, referencing it all the time and even coming up with nicknames for him ;D (I think Nino and Tato also said something about Flaco on that matter, but I'm not too sure I heard it right) Anyway, I think Nino may be a secret fangirl. Opinions? And these are the lessons I got tonight. It also left me with a strong wish: whatever happens, please let someone kill Sofia! If Nino did it, it would be great, but I'd take anything. I hate her guts. Sorry for the super long post

Nice recap, chrys!! There's another scene when Flaco gives Lili the pics. What do they say to each other then? Lili le pregunta al Flaco si nunca consideró blanquear que es gay <---google translate makes it clear as mud Glad to have helped I somehow forgot that scene Flaco tells her to be careful and not to trust anyone, Lily asks him how he managed to hide and asks him if it wasn't the time to come clean about what's going on with him (=come out). I agree with maya. I'm glad they're moving Lily and Flaco towards a healthy adult relationship between exes. I think now that Lily calmed down she's starting to see Flaco was being honest about caring for her (instead of the cold-hearted bastard that used her as a beard she first accused him of being). And I don't think they're boring - Christian was doing great in those scenes. The problem is the actress who plays Lily - she's always with the same facial expression About Lalo, he was sorely missed. There was a scene where Nino was talking to the judge about getting him out of jail, but it wasn't going well at all I still have faith in Nino's mad lawyer skills, though ;D

Okay, masonville, don't fear. Nothing sexual happened between Flaco and Lily. When they were in bed they were actually having a nice adult conversation, when it wasn't back to the same old apologies/guilt/regret/recrimination convo they've been having for a while. So. First, while standing, they discuss the picture and Lily apologizes, Flaco tells her to be more careful and that he's gonna get Tato to make it disappear. Then Lily says "forgive me" and Flaco breaks down apologizing and saying how her being out of his life is so hard. Then, in bed: Lily is going on about how her life could have been if she had married someone else, while Flaco says their marriage was worthwhile anyway. Flaco praises her and Lily says she should've thought more of herself. And then it's the nice part (yes, there is one ): Flaco tells her she should save that for the next time (relationship) and to be careful so that her next partner doesn't turn out to be gay. And they laugh about it! Finally a change of the same old convo! I didn't get the next line, but then they go back to how hard it is. Then it's the scene they wake up in bed. It's kind of a goodbye scene... Flaco says he supposes that was the last time they slept in the same bed and Lily says it's gonna be hard but she hopes they can find a way to go on with their lives... It seems like Lily got past most of her anger towards Flaco. Oh, and in the beginning he says something like "do I have to remind you of what happened with Mirtha?" so they keep dropping hints about something between Lily and Mirtha.

Well, let me see who died so far... Chiqui's father, Capa, Solange, Marcos, Vanina, Giselle, Mirtha, Marga's baby girl... Am I missing anyone? So that's 3 guys and 4 women, plus a baby girl, though I'm not sure if Chiqui's father counts since he was never an onscreen character. But you still have a point, since that's 3 women on a row So maybe a guy now. But are we sure it's another death? I was thinking a bystander would get hurt, not killed. And out of those, I hope it's Mercedes. She's annoying About Josephina, I disagree. I hope she sticks around so she can help cover Lalo's double life (not that he's having one now, but he sure needs help if he wants to have a secret affair. We all know how "good" he is about keeping secrets on his own lol)

I agree with you, masonville. I think a bystander gets the bullet but doesn't die, especially if Chiqui is the one that fires the gun. Cause I think they wouldn't make the protagonist actually kill someone.
Oh, and I especially like your idea that it's Mercedes. That would be draaaama ;D

Ok, I voted for "Remain secret lovers, only one will play soccer," since I think it's the most plausible outcome. Of course this is soap land, so the outcome could be much more soap-tastic lol but I think either way Lalo continues to play soccer. Since his story, even before the writers made him a love interest for Flaco, was about a young player finding his way to success, I believe in the end he gets to play a successful career.
I'm not so sure about Flaco's outcome, or their relationship. So my vote here was for them as secret lovers and Flaco retiring (since he's close to retirement anyway) but I think he could keep playing as well. As for their relationship, I think it's either secrecy or they split and Flaco comes out.

So Lalo’s rotting in the slammer and rather astutely, he’s afraid of being perceived as a “queen”. Flaco pulls a Betty Crocker and brings him “cookies”. Ok, I know they’re gay but this is frankly a little too gay and potentially dangerous. Word to the wise, Flaco, if your lover is locked up with a bunch of sexually deprived (and depraved), frustrated bullies, who undoubtedly would be irate if they suspected that their soccer stars were anything other than very heterosexual, the last thing you should be doing is making him look like a wimp, especially if he’s a buck fifty soaking wet. < --- throwing him to the lions would be more humane I'll have to disagree with you. Though I do commend Lalo's wisdom about not looking gay while in jail (or in public, for that matter), there's nothing inherently suspicious about teammates visiting you and bringing food. The only thing suspicious is that Flaco is the only visit he's got, and since their secret is so badly kept, there may be already rumors about them. True, and if he's so wise about his career now, how about arranging that good-for-nothing fake girlfriend to do her job and visit you in jail, huh? Besides, whispered arguments in front of a police offer are definitely much worse than getting alfajores from a man. Also, and that makes a world of difference, Lalo is not "locked up with a bunch of sexually deprived (and depraved), frustrated bullies." He's actually alone in his cell, after they removed Anguila, so not only there's no danger of inmates bullying him, but there's also nearly no one to see the whole thing. So I guess my point is Lalo protests too much and is paranoid - which may be a rebound reaction to all the time he was so careless about being found out.

Manuel storms in Marga's apartment, furious with Lili after having seen a picture of hers with another man.. and Marga is back being her homophobic self: "puto! te la comes doblada!!" (too vulgar to translate!) Thanks for transcribing it though. I couldn't make out what she said after te la comes.
