ZATHRAS with all your questions to think about Iguess to have an headache now! LOL ;D Anyway, I think alike JJOSE' regarding vague spoilers & that the punch could be a pivotal point for both Luke & Noah too, perhaps he will decide at that point that he needs to focus better on himself & his stuff, before coming back with a "vengeance"& a bang (of course it'll all happen off-screen, but since we've just 10 min. if we're lucky of them, or if it's Xmas all over again WOW 20 min. x week...I'm not complaining that Noah will go elsewhere, I've to be sincere here ) PS_BONOBOCHICK...Hey, you're really "black & white", aren't you?! I've used that emoticon in my sentence, because I'm still not 100% sure that writers did that kind of script "trick", "the mirror thing" I call it, for the purpose I've previously written...I hope that my POV could be right, but since I'm still doubtful, I've used that , it wasn't meant to be ironic anyway. Ciao

Although I prefer LuRe (see today for reasons why), I thought it was definitely Nuke. Now, I am not sure which will happen. I can't tell if they are doing the Lost thing to shift the expectations of us fans by saying "to watch because you never know what will happen" but my sense is that this is going to remain good and interesting through out. Everyone is expecting Nuke, so they could actually be tempted to close with LuRe. LuRe might actually be more popular right now, so it's not like they wouldn't be pleasing a lot of people. They'd have to find some way for Noah to have an upbeat ending, too, though. See that's the thing that would probably make them end with Nuke ... sentimental feelings for Noah. He's been on the show quite a while now. But they could have Noah be offered a once-in-lifetime opportunity to direct a real movie in L.A.. Luke won't want to leave his family and when it looks like Noah won't take the opportunity if he doesn't go with him, Luke will choose to be with Reid. Noah loses Luke but he gets to live his dream of making movies. And Luke cut him free out of love for him, so it's still a love story between them. You're right, as I've already said, in the details you could have a glimpse of what writers could be after... IMO al this building up of Reid's role, like in a book, a 3 dimensional character & even dynamic, make me suspicious "there's more in store" for us: & I'm also the 1 that at the beginning, was sure that Nuke would have been the happy ending, & Reid simply the perfect "distraction", a sort of Richard 2.0 Now, after having seen all these eps, it really seems to me that their POV is from Lure's side: the way they show things, like Noah's witnessing the , the last example, & his being always kind of "off-screen". Overall, why are you all so worried that Noah will fade badly away?! I guess instead it's sure NOBODY WILL DIE + ALL OF THE 3 WILL BE HAPPY IN THE END. I'm totally sure (hey, it's always an American show after all, isn't it?! ) Calm down every1!! _Last but not least, HAWTHORNE, this plot of the future director, alias Noah, has reminded me about the finale of "Dawson Creek" series: lots of people thought the main character would have been matched with his best friend & 1st love (even if during the years, she had been torn between him & another guy), instead at the very end, he succeded in making his film about his teenage-years at Hollywood, & the girl decided to be with her true love as an adult, forever...The other 1! & it was nice, because you-as a viewer, discovered it at the finale, when they're all watching this same film in different places! Could it be a similar thing with Noah making a film about Oakhell & lost love?! (With the help of buddy future husband Richard! Ok...Just my fantasy ending, for fun! ;D)

Reid just about killed me with "I don't know what else to do." (Also, I thought Luke and Reid both looked extra pretty today.) YEP!!! The kiss was WOW, their matched black clothes idem, all worked perfectly well in last ep...I've also liked the parallel & reverse roles between Luke & Reid (x inst. if you recall "The almost-kiss" ep. ), as I was writing on the other thread... I guess that these are those kind of details that make a storyline important....Obviously enough, compared to the bad treatment they always used on Noah's POV...There's no possible paragon! PS_I don't want to sound like a screaming fangirl but...OMG if Lure won't be endgame, I will have withdrawal symptoms!! ;D

CAITLIN & SHAMELESS...I agree with you! Moreover once more spoilers played out in a slightly different way, but often a nuance can make "the difference", like in the final sad face (where was "the horror, the horror!!" on Noah's 1 pliiiz?! ) I've utterly enjoyed this last ep., especially after that excruciating waiting that has been this week, isn't it?! All worked well, & I've loved to see a little extra from this Richard, who knows that somehow he could be important for the future too?? I was thinking for inst. to help Noah with a possible job or "trip around the world", whatever, as a friend, when he'll leave town for a while... & obviously, THE KISS for Lure & I've loved especially how this ep. was a sort of parallel, but vice versa, a reverse of other Lure's moments: in particular the "Almost-kiss"_ep... I like this kind of details, they make even better a plot

We will have to see but something tells me that Luke isn't over Noah at all. I would expect to see that in the coming weeks. Oh well, if it's supposed to be a love triangle it's easy to guess Anyway, it's up tp Luke now, we'll see how deep is this new love "quite soon" I think...

Well, Reid did try to push Luke and Noah apart until they broke up (refusing at times to perform the surgery) but the reason why is that Reid is Noah's doctor. Noah told Reid things about his and Luke's relationship. Reid used that info to his advantage to try to get Luke. It's like insider trading. Not to mention the fact that both Luke and Reid have been lying to Noah all this time. He also broke doctor/patient trust by going after Luke. I would never trust a doctor again after he did something like that. And not that Noah knows but he did want to have sex with an emotional Luke while Noah was unconscious with possible brain damage. But I would imagine that Reid's mouth runs off and says something not too flattering about Luke (or about Noah) that he didn't like and he punches Reid. Will have to wait till the 9th. Well, Nuke weren't married, Reid has always tried to think 1st to the patient's sake, & has even pushed them together a few times... He agreed to save Noah's life with rehab & surgery, well...I guess that now he could have his chance with Luke, who has broken up with Noah 4 times, in the meantime I guess?! Overall, it's only love not war making against Luke, & if L. is a big boy, he could say NO too, isn't it?! Just my POV... I'm curious to listen to both future Reid & Noah's words...

Thanks Faffounette, these spoilers are really interesting!! I'm looking forward to see how Reid will face this new situation ...& especially, if Noah will keep secret his condition.. No, I'm mistaken now, since he's going to reveal that he saw them kissing (...Unless he told that actually Richard saw them) ! Anyway it looks like a triangle at last!

I don't understand on what grounds will they stand on making Reid choose between Luke and his job (if this does indeed happen). Luke isn't his patient nor is he technically any legal relation of his patient. In fact Luke drags Reid into this in a very unprofessional manner to start with so I just don't get this. *Sigh* I see them ruining a perfectly good story line with soapland magic. I do wonder how much a Neurosurgeon can pull in unemployment... LOL if I've thought the SAME!! But I want to give them the benefit of the doubt ...Perhaps there's something we doesn't know yet, but that will be important & will pop up at "the wrong moment" to complicate furtherly the matter...I guess it could be something connected with the new wing of the hospital, but it's just a feeling anyway, I don't know by now

My point is that it's basically the same storyline, only with Reid instead of Brian and Richard instead of Maddie. It's just going to end differently than last time but the the same problems exist. Luke is jealous and jumped to the wrong conclusion and Luke says "because I knew he wanted me and I wasn't too sure about you". Ciao Md, I know what you were referring to & those scenes are among my fav too , obviously the basic pattern of soaps it's always "the loving meant-to-be couple" , or "the other" lurking in the dark to steal 1 of the partner , "weakness or issues that lead to break-up/ new feelings/ new couple" & so on for endless time...& this isn't exception! When I've started watching, I've also thought more or less like you "Luke will be tempted because he wants another person who says it out & loud that he wants him" (as he himself recently told to Lily-mum...); BUT this time there's acomplication too, Reid is a charming character , not a random (or older) guest -star nor a villain, & Luke while was for the 100th time trying to reconnect with Noah, without even knowing it, had been already attracted towards this new possible different-kind-of-love, since quite a long time now...It's not only for lust, it would be too simple Therefore, this time there's the real possibility that he'll try to move on with this new man: & it's more likeable this way, so nobody will know for sure where his real deeper feelings lie, don't you think too?! It's more interesting for the triangle & for us as viewers too... This time it's different from the past, Noah will have to fight for real, & I'm curious to see the words Luke will say to Noah in that future ep., after he'll have discovered Lure's kissing & after the punch to Reid... PS_IMO it's important that ambiguos line between Lily & Luke (sorry, not the exact words but what I recall): when she asked him if Noah would be with him again what he will reply...& he hid himself behind that "excuse" <<...But I still love him, this hasn't changed?!>> & Lily told <<I didn't ask you this... We're thinking at 2 different things right now>> _BTW for curiosity, "buss" in English means "a French kiss" a deeper 1?! (Mmmhhh, it sounds interesting indeed, ah-ah! ;D)

I'm liking Henry and Barbara. It spices up the show to not have your conventional couples. I think Katie and the Dr. might be falling for each other even though she wanted to reunite him with Allison. Who in my opinion just doesn't work with anyone Ah-ah, LOL!! I agree with you (it was nice to see Katie, an actress I like, dressed up & with all that make up, acting with Dr. in that odd scene with the old actress' coming back ): it's always nice to see an unconventional SL, if not it's all "already seen & cliched", & well, of course actors have to be good too...Allison is not 1 of my fav either BTW!

Anyone know what days Luke/Noah/Reid will be on this week? I know Friday for sure but any others? Since it seems a lot will happen this week, even if the network didn't allow to know by previews (at least until today/ tomorrow) when the guys will be on, for not spoiling what's going on...I believe it will be more than once (Friday): probably Thursday & F., 'cause I don't think all will happen in just 1 ep, BTW nobody knows more for now, sorry! Yes MD, whatever they decide for Noah, he had to be more present in the plot, with a meaningful role, both for the triangle & for the ending...The SL would be more "rich" anyway! Ok, for your thinking about Luke of course, but before judging the new dynamic, I'd like to see 1st how Reid will put the conditions of making it works, etc...I guess next week we'll know "Lure's agreement". This week are they supposed to be on Friday only? I think they'll do 2 days this 1

Personally, I think LuRe's relationship will already begin to strain even before Noah gets back. Issues at the hospital throwing their relationship into the closet (they will be forced to keep their relationship a secret). They won't be able to go out together anywhere and do couple things unless they go out of town, etc. For Luke that is going to be hard, because he's not use to hiding but Reid isn't use to being public away (looks like he hasn't had a date since the pilgrims hit plymouth rock). Noah's effect on it will be totally noticeable. Reid will go back to being jealous and calling Luke names. Luke as the spoiler says "Noah's return has Luke in turmoil" (if it holds true). If LuRe's relationship is already rocky, then it may fail fairly easily once Noah is back in town. CHEERIOS said it the right way...No matter what I'd be pleased to see a better treatment of Noah's character, & actually seeing more of him in actions+feeelings (apart from other "yo-yo" scenes between Nuke, that I'm so bored to see )... That said, I don't think like you MD, that Reid will be all freaked out by Luke's outgoing personality (see x inst. the famous mechanical bull-scene ) or will be "an iceberg"...Better, he's already given proof to be able to be decisive & hot too, isn't he?! If as you said, the whole external issues will demage Lure's affair, by the base, before even making them starting up the "honeymoon phase"...I can't imagine how this side of the triangle could even stand up on its own?! IMO it has to be a possible powerful future relationship, before being questioned again by Noah's past "revenge" love PS_It would be extra-fun for me to see at a certain point if the fture SL, that an ex for Reid would pop up too, so it'll be really a total mess!LOL ...But I'm aware that they're time it's running out for ATWT

Whatever the reasons- the point is that I can not remember scenes in which Noah and Luke joked with each other about their flaws like I have seen between Luke and Reid. The result is that Nuke seems tragic and lacking in certain level of comfort with each other. I am not sure a quick spin around at the end will do it for me. I imagine some will be happy with such a plot driven approach, but I have truly enjoyed the way in which we see those little small moments between Reid and Luke that are not BIG plot moments, but nice touches that say a lot about the characters together. When I speak of the scene with Reid where Luke jokes with him about not being a jerk with the medical review board, it is this that is missing from Noah and Luke. In the simple act of joking about it, and laughing with each other rather than at each other about it, they are saying "yeah, I know your stuff, but its cool." Or in the case of Luke- it was saying "yeah, you are a jerk. I know you are jerk. I like you anyway." For Reid it was, yeah, I know I can be a jerk (I am not so above it not to know that), but I am enjoying this moment with you. For Nuke its all Shakespearan tragedy. For LuRe, yeah, they are pushing each other in that moment, but they also enjoying being around each other. The spoilers don't make me hopefully regarding such joy between Nuke. I could not imagine living with someone for whom everything is a tragedy and they dont' seem to enjoy being around me. There are down times between Luke and Reid, and they address them, but there are also real moments of "I can see what they see in each other." I've perceived your same "vibe" regarding the 2 couples ...Obviously others could have another approach to it (more "melancholic & old-school romantic") & it's perfectly fine with it. Let's see what's happen now...

Overall, it's better we come back talking about SPOILERS here... PS_MD & if Luke tells him NO, because he's already fallen in Reid's (hot) web?! LOL...I'm joking anyway, we'll see...Personally I think Luke would say no at first since he's in a relationship with Reid. We don't know how strong the relationship will be at that point. I'm figuring not too strong because of the hospital stuff. There will be a lot of wanting stares, stolen glances, reminders of love from their past and (electric) hand touches and such. Luke will try to ignore it but I imagine that Noah will give Luke a strong lingering kiss and the feelings will be there. Yeah, I guess something similar: poor Dr will have for that period (future) all kind of twists & issues about hospital, etc, & probably will also bring back the bad side of his character, due to this pressure, & his insecurity toward Noah's back in town...Obviously Luke will fight with Dr for letting him step aside or whatever, Dr will think instead that he's drawn again by Noah's return & strong past love...After that stage, actually nobody knows for real which way Luke will go... But as regards me, after having seen the uber-sexy Reid's hand-touching ...Well, frankly Noah's electric hand touches had to be REALLY "spectacular" to turn me on!! ;D But obviously it's just me, it doesn't count... DAMIAN!! Finally back...That's an interesting role too, I'm also wondering how he'll be involved in this triangle, & in other Sls...& above all, which side of the match he'll stand for?! Noah or Reid?? Obviously, having already helped & accepted Noah, it seems him, but I wouldn't forget that probably Reid is more similar to himself, hence...I don't know by now

SHAMELESS...I agree with you through all your speech: what I've liked of Lure's dynamic is exactly that "flair", that has made it special & above all, that let the audience see the core of them. 2nd thing to notice: even if I don't agree completely with ZATHRAS' accurate POV is that another difference still is the quality & funny exchange of banters, that Nuke never had, & as Z. himself told, always angst & drama at a certain stage become "heavy" to enjoy...Probably Nuke should have been explored way much in depth regarding this important connection, & side of the couple. Instead it's like at the end of the run, Luke & Noah are the same boys of the beginning of the plot, while it seems to me that between Luke & Reid there's that kind of "walking together side by side", which leads to a good change within the characters through the story. (BTW it's surely right that also Luke has got his own issues, however in the accident's scene, Luke begged, but at the same time also told him to be careful with the fireworks, & Noah rudely reminded him that he did it a thousand times in the past...& boom! I mean, it's not exactly that Luke or others had aimed a gun to his head to do it, to take later ALL the blame...At least my POV : Overall, it's better we come back talking about SPOILERS here... PS_MD & if Luke tells him NO, because he's already fallen in Reid's (hot) web?! LOL. ..I'm joking anyway, we'll see...Personally I guess there will be a sort of equality: before Luke with Reid, in this period, & when Noah will come back, he'll work on Luke's weaknesses & they'll be close again... & Richard?? I think he could have a role in the big decision in the life of Noah, probably he could help him in the period he'll go away from Oakdale, something like this...

That wasn't a date either. They just decided to go to it to have fun and once he was there, he went after Luke. It's curious that some people think that Noah and Tony date (some people even think they have some more), because i remember that episode and it was all casual, they were together but not on a date. But some people think that Luke and Reg (oh, i miss Reg) dated too, and they didn't. Reg told Luke that he was interested in him, after one of the Nuke's break ups, but they didn't date. One of my favourite Nuke scenes (i'm a little weird because it's one of their break ups) it's their break up after Luke kissed Brian, and i really liked angry Noah, so i don't mind seeing angry Noah again, of course this time he won't have any right to be mad, but who cares _CAITLIP you're right saying that actually we don't know what's for real this Richard is supposed to "represent" at the moment...I really don't think he's put there just for mere 4 secs, or for helping to deliver the surprise?? C'mon! IMO he has to be in ATWT for something more, especially at this stage of the plot, with time running out... Moreover, probably if you're more pro-Lure that meeting was supposed to be a something more, if you're pro-Nuke, simply a talk with a friend...We've to be patient to see if for real there's an added meaning to this little (but somehow important) role! _JOSE'...I miss Reg too!! Ah-ah ;D I wished, back when I watched him hanging out with Nuke, that he could have a bigger role, as Casey for inst., unfortunately he was killed off instead! Anyway, ok for Tony-guy, my bad, because I didn't watch those eps with continuity, & it seemed to me otherwise. However it's not weird for me, that you (like me too! ) liked that angry scene aftermath Brian's kiss...Because it had been 1 of those (always IMO) few scenes, in which for real Noah showed to others his true colours & deep feelings for Luke... Almost all the other scenes, seemed to be or a little rushed "out of the blue" (as when Noah gave the clock-present for Xmas to Luke), or more Luke's POV oriented. Ok, so for Noah "once more, with feeling" for convincing me next time! PS_I don't see like you the Lure-couple ménage...In the sense that for me it's that kind of "good collision" of 2 different persons that challenge themselves to be better (not to destroy each other), lke Reid has already done pushing Luke to be more mature & Luke for having made Reid to realize that's more than work in life...

Everything but indiference. Noah can show anger, frustration or pain, all it's ok for me. Maybe he has no right to be anger, but you can't control what you feel, and if he feel that way it's because he really loves Luke. I don't think Nuke relationship was so terrible (boring yes, but that's writers fault). It was inmature, but they are very young so that's logical. Both have some issues to solve, but i don't think it's that difficult. And Noah wanting Luke back it's a first step, because he never had to do anything to get together since his coming out to the Col, everytime they broke up, he only had to wait till Luke begs to get him back. This time it'll be different, and he must fight for what he wants, and that will be the first step in the right direction. About Reid, i think it's absotutely neccesary LuRe become a couple, and from that moment on we'll see how that couple work, but in my opinion it won't be smooth either Ok, we'll see soon how the new cople "works" or not...BTW, I often read fans telling about "the age-issue" regarding Nuke's SL & personalities, IMHO instead it has never been such a big deal, the problem is their dynamic & Noah's supposed personality (writers' fault, & not simply that he had to say SORRY to Luke & all is forgiven & forgotten )...(damned! )"Romeo&Juliet" themselves were very young in the classic story, but the essence of their love was very clear indeed... I bet that if ATWT would begin nowadays again, with a brand new Nuke-couple, I'm sure writers, looking around to what has been done during these past few years with gay-plots, would be freer to create a better plot...

CHEERIOS, Luke was trying but get interrupted at the lake... MD, if I recall right apart from this Richard, Luke is the 1 who always feels in guilt & comes back to Noah, but Noah (even if kinda "off-screen") seemed more "open" from this POV, told him he was free to see others, & in that old ep. with Cyndi Lauper, Noah was at the party with another guy... INKIEDINKIE I agree with you too. SHAMELESS unfortunately for all, I'm afraid of your artistic POV it's a little too "high-expectations" for Soapland (I know what you meant with that film, but here we're not in a D.Lynch's 1 for inst. )... I also guess writers won't make even such an effort with Noah, if they've decided Nuke as end-game, they'll simply make them closer & redescovering their endless love before final happy-sux cliched-wedding...They don't need to have to please all the fans or making this SL works on multi-layers.. .As I often think, it's like with cartoons' villains: they're incredibly smart & all, but they are always defeated in the end, no matter what! There's not a strong LOGIC behind...Anyway, I'd like to see a different finale this time, in which it will seem that Nuke are back together, but instead, years later, we see that Luke will have made a surprising choice going to Reid (Fantastic for me, but of course I'm aware that it will be pretty difficult to be, according to this genre's conventions... )

You know what? Both MD & José have very good point about what I would like to see about him too, but I'm afraid instead we'll get simply an angry Noah (as before, with the punch to Brian, & surely this next rage-attack towards Reid too), who will succeed in convincing again Luke about his true love , because, furthermore, Luke will make his move toward Reid, believing Noah is forever finished with him... When he'll know how things are, he'll feel all in guilt (& moreover, of course Reid, already torn with all his professional future mess, will see them in bed together, like Noah+Madie scene back in the hey-days...& will totally freaked out, believing there's not hope left...Ahhh, every day it seems to me Dr is the real star crossed lover of the triangle! )

I've thought the same Shameless especially because of all the attention & screen-time towards him & less on Noah...On the other hand, MD, I think Noah will come back for giving a cold revenge to Reid & win back Luke of course: perhaps I'll even sue him for his failed recovery or similar, to make him paying for his pain?! I know it's a little out of character, but as Shame said, not all angels or devils make a good plot rolling on...(ok, perhaps it's more fun in hell, but you know what I mean! LOL ;D)
