So what was the deal with Sebastian? His face looked like Constantin just stabbed him in the stomach or something.
Olli standing up to Olivia again was just great to see. She needs to learn a lesson about not taking him for granted. Christian despises her of course so he's just glad Olli didn't let her in.
But *sigh* the two of them in bed, Olli's head resting on Christian's chest....

While I haven't watched the video and have only seen the screencaps, sorry about slipping on getting an ep thread up & running for today  , it seems to me out of character that Olli would be smiling or cheerful after what he said to Olivia. I get that he's unhappy with her, angry with her, wants nothing to do with her but seeming to take pleasure in telling her off/ being mean seems really off character-wise, IMO. Hmmmm. Cool screencaps. I will have to watch the ep on my phone in a moment. |

IMO, for better or for worse, he's been taking cues from Christian in this situation. And I don't find that out of character (that he is taking his cues from Christian here).

IMO, for better or for worse, he's been taking cues from Christian in this situation. And I don't find that out of character (that he is taking his cues from Christian here). I think that Olli was really angry about this last set of issues with Olivia, the ransom money and blackmail bit. The blackmail in particular really seemed to upset him this time, as it kind of suggested that Olivia has no respect for him. So the smile doesn't seem odd to me. I think he's feeling good that he's the one calling the shots in their relationship instead of Olivia. After what he's been through lately I don't think he wants to be anyone's doormat. This doesn't mean that he won't eventually get over it. But I think that he wants to be the one to decide when he's ready to make up with Olivia, rather than letting her just breeze around pretending that she didn't do anything wrong and they should be best pals. |

Ivan, usually "You're such a nice guy" is the kiss of death but I can see where Constantin is coming from.  IMO, for better or for worse, he's been taking cues from Christian in this situation. And I don't find that out of character (that he is taking his cues from Christian here). Hmmm, Christian has been surprisingly reserved in his comments & behavior about the situation and such regarding what Olivia has done so I don't know if I buy that reason. YMMV. Psionycx, I get what you're saying but it's one thing to be mad... it's another thing to seem like he's enjoying hurting Olivia. That strikes me as out of character. Even thought he's justifiably mad at her, taking pleasure at being malicious to her comes off as out of character for Olli.

Harsh! I'm starting to like that girl more and more... It's just that from the way he looked it kind of seems like she didn't just tell him, but that she also kicked him in the ****. Constantin has a point though. If you're bad in bed at least you can work on improving your technique. If you're a "pal" that means she's not even thinking about letting you get into bed with her. |

Well I think his position towards Olivia is still pretty obvious. He doesn't have to say it. Olli and everybody else probably knows. That's why I think of it taking cues from Christian rather than Christian ordering Olli to be mean to Olivia.
Taking a hard stance against Olivia is definitely much more of a Christian thing. And it could be anything from Olli subconciously fearing that Christian won't respect him or won't like it if Olli is soft on her, to Olli genuinely thinking that Christian has a point with his worldview (after all Christian has accepted and taken in parts of Olli's worldview too), to him thinking that it's okay for him to take a soft stance on Olivia as long as it's just him, but not when Christian is involved too particularly since he knows that Christian's natural stance against her is much more hardball, even if he tones it down for Olli.
Besides, I don't find his lines towards Olivia that strange. IMO the cool thing about the O&O interaction has always been to me that they were pretty good at telling each other harsh truths.

They influence and inspire each other. Olli showed Christian that he can try to make his dream true (sport school, boxing) and Christian to him that he should stand up to people.

Come on, what he told her was barely a dig and hardly worse than the things Olivia usually dished out to him or everybody around her. If she can't take it, then she shouldn't dish out.
Not to mention that what he told her goes right to the root of the problem he has with her. That she treats her friends badly and that's why she drives them away till she doesn't have any at all.
IMO, if she wants friends, she better shape up.

Sebastian's faces were in response to Constantin telling him that the worst thing the woman you like can say to you is that you are a great pal. Seb really feels for Constantin since he knows that he's in love with Judith but Judith is still hung up on Fabian. Constantin thinks that Judith will get back together with Fabian but Seb tells him that Fabian is moving to Australia. And then Judith comes in crying how Fabian just left without saying goodbye |

Words that were actually the truth? And really no more maliciously delivered than how Olivia usually delivers her truths. To me it's not hurtful if Olli doesn't want to party with her when she wants to celebrate that people killing, drug dealing Tanja is letting her model. Not to mention Olivia coming right off the heels of only getting this modelling job because she sold her soul for it, namely by agreeing to keep quiet about Tanja coking up and trying to poison Sarah. I'm sorry, I'm just not seeing any victim of malicious hurt Olivia here and I actually like Olivia. Remember, he went off rather recently on Christian too which included things like telling Christian that boxing was eating away his brain. Clearly Olli can get mean when upset. So, no, I'm not seeing the malice here. It's not like he doesn't have a reason to be upset with her. I love Olivia. I think she's a great character. I think she and Olli should make up. But I don't see her as a poor innocent flower who is gonna break from some harsh words. And if Olivia looks unsure and miserable in that scene, IMO it's because she KNEW she was doing the wrong thing in today's episode when she allowed Tanja to buy her. In Olivia's current plot Tanja is blackmailing Ansgar to marry her, otherwise his somewhat unstable wife Nathalie will keep being in jail and will probably die because she can't take it mentally. Because of this Ansgar's sister and friend of Nathalie Carla asked Olivia to testify against Tanja about the drug thing. In turn she offered to take away Olivia's dept from the ransom money. Olivia agreed. But then Tanja got to her first and blackmail/lured Olivia into changing her story. And today Olivia had to look Ansgar and Carla in the eye and tell them that she changed her story, doesn't remember anything and won't be helping him. In fact, she looked quite miserable doing so. And that is what she was coming back from, what she was coming to celebrate, that she stabbed Carla, Ansgar and Nathalie in the back for her modelling job. She didn't come by because she was sorry about what she did to Olli or her niece. She came because she wanted absolution because what she just did to Carla/Ansgar/justice as a whole. |
