Adam and Scarlet? I just can't see it. Not because I want Adam and Aaron to eventually get together. I mean, I do, but, I also know that could take months and Adam might have a relationship before that were to happen, but him and Scarlet? I just can't see the two of them together, although there's no other girl, besides Victoria, that's even close to his age group, so I guess that's really his only option. I don't know. I hope that's not true.

Sorry stl29tide but 6 months ago I broke the news on here about Adam Thomas joining Emmerdale and ran videos of the Ryan Lamb story line on here. I posted the link to an interview when he stated he was lined up to become Scarlett's boyfriend. Scarlett is lined up to inherit a fortune on her 18th birthday and in many ways resembles Adam's mum Moira.I've found it amusing how everyone's been getting so worked up on Adam and Aaron for the past few weeks when it has no sexual relation at all in the future s/l. When I posted no one gave a damn bar Carld2. Aaron's future relationship is going to surprise most on here who know Emmerdale.

Not sure if it's dead certain Aaron and Adam won't be paired up, as producers can always change their mind. Nothing's for sure until they film! But if they in fact, do not pair Aaron up with Adam, I'm going to speculate who I think they might pair him up with. Mei D' Oc can laugh at me.... ;D I highly doubt they'd have him with Ryan. As I can't see James Sutton doing two gay storylines on two different soaps in a row. I wouldn't be shocked if they pair him up with Andy eventually. And I wonder if they'd pair him with Nathan or Nikhil? But it would be SUPER SOAPY if they pair him up with John (Adam's father) or................ Carl!!!! ;D  For now...I'm going to say if it ain't gonna be Adam, I'm putting my money on Andy. |

It makes sense that if they give Adam a girlfriend to have it be Scarlet, because there's no one else around his age. However, I just don't see the two of them together. I like Adam and Scarlet's okay. I really liked how she handled herself after the whole Daz/Victoria thing. Maybe it's because I don't think I've ever seen them in a scene together, but, it just feels like it would get boring really fast. And things do change. A lot of where the writers go depends on the character's chemistry with each other and fan reaction as well, so there's nothing to say in a year Adam and Aaron won't get together. If they do, I'll be ecstatic, but, if they don't, that's okay too. Aaron's probably my favorite character, so I'm just enjoying his storyline, but, I'm also following the Bartons because their family is too 'perfect' and I have a feeling a lot will go down for them in 2010. I personally don't think Aaron needs to be in a relationship right now because of everything he's about to be going through, however when that time comes, I hope he actually has a chance to be happy and not stuck in some 'secret' relationship. Who that person might be I don't know. I hope it's not Andy. I'm going to go ahead and rule out any of the Dingles, although when has Emmerdale been afraid of putting Dingles together? So that would leave John? Paddy? Nathan? Ryan? Carl? I don't think it will be Ryan. Paddy is like Aaron's father and that's just never going to happen in a million years. I just don't think it would be John either. Carl.....maybe, that would definitely cause the most drama. Nathan....kind of stuck up and never shown any signs of being remotely interested in men, but, then again, neither has Aaron before now. I know.....Rodney!!! ;D |

I can't blame anyone for wanting to see Adam/Aaron. The show has not specifically said they would get together but the actors do have chemistry and we've gotten to see some very fun and at times tender scenes between them.
If the show doesn't go there, then I think it's a missed opportunity, but as long as Aaron's story is still entertaining and he eventually gets a good love interest, then it should be alright.
I just hope they find one for him. If it's someone on the show, then who will they choose? Would they take a risk and put another heretofore straight character in a same-sex relationship? If they would, then I would pick Nathan or David. Definitely not Andy.
If it's a gay character they are bringing into the show, then that will be a long and difficult sell, as I think Aaron would have an ugly reaction to an openly gay man. I would like to see more gay characters on the show, so I wouldn't mind this, if the story were there.
What about the Sharma brothers? Or are they for Faye?
Adam and Scarlett -- the problem is that would be very dull. Scarlett is a perfectly nice young woman but she's dull, dull, dull, and Adam would probably be dull with her.
If they are going to pair him with a girl then I would think he'd be better off with Victoria.
