I guess this is the first time the choice has been made by an adult male, which is something different, as a lot of adult men and women do force themselves to go through these awful things.

Oh Syed you poor darling, an ex-gay program will only hurt you more. You have deny who you are for so long and it has done nothing but brought hurt to those who love you and that you love. It really is sad to watch Syed destroy himself for not being able to accept and be happy with who he was born as.

Syed gotta be the most fickled minded character I have ever seen. After all the things he have done, you would have thought he will have accepted himself. But no, he still wants to renounce his own sexuality. That's just plain sad. Instead of trying to make his parents understand him, he just continues to be deluded.

It is sad, but some people spend their whole lives doing just that. It's just sad when you think about it. You don't know weather to give them a big hug or shake them hoping they'll come snap out of it. |

Thank you Mad for posting the link to the preview clip, unfortunately the video isn't avalaible in my country. I hope that someone will put it on youtube.
Thank you also to Maya for the script pics, they are amazing! I was hoping to hear Syed saying out loud that he couldn't stop loving Christian, we knew it but it's good hearing it from his voice, specially because he's usually not very vocals about his feelings.

So basically he wants to destroy himself to make his parents happy. To live a lie of who he was born to be, it's just so sad. I love how Tam is the only one saying how wrong this all is and how Syed should be himself.

They have been featured a lot these past two months so I guess they'll have a little break now, as it's a EE custom, but Brian Kirkwood's words and the last spoilers posted by Maya give me hope that when they will back on there will be fireworks again! |

All of the characters disappear for 2 or 3 weeks at a time. It's a rotating thing. Not uncommon on a soap with such a large cast of characters.

I'd like to echo that. It was to allow John Partridge to film another show for the Beeb. However I think it's stupid to begin Syed's de-gaying story just a couple of days before he disappears for 5 weeks |

My first thought was: I wonder if it's fallout from Syed trying to "cure" himself? But, I bet it has more to do with Zainab. I bet Zainab will be fully supportive of Syed trying to "cure" his homosexuality, while Masood won't be. An obvious source of continuing tension. Not sure how "sinister" he could get, though, or if it will be related in any way to Syed. |

Jane is bound to find out that Ian helped Lucy get an abortion and therefore deny her a chance of having a child As for Masood hopefully he carry on seeing his wife for the spiteful witch she is and leave her. Even so I'm still not sure he'd have an affair with Jane. It would be ironic however if either Syed or Christian found out and offered to cover for him  |
