I thought James was seeing someone. I guess he broke up with his steady boyfriend.
I really, really liked James so hmmm, this could be a challenge for me.
I adore Syed but James is gorgeous and smart and kind and already thinks the world of Christian.
Oh dear. Best kind of triangles. Where you'd not sure who you'd prefer.
This is going to be great.
I really hope they give Christian and Syed more screen time because the storyline is clearly very popular with viewers and they are pimping it BIG TIME.

Wait wait wait. Isn't James the guy that Christian tried to make a move on and got rejected in the earlier episode? And now he is considering to build a relationship with Christian. Hmmmm. I thought James has a steady boyfriend, guess it didn't work out for both of them. But what does it make to, Christian being a rebound guy for James?

But to be honest, if Syed and Christian can't be together, I wouldn't mind Christian settling for James coz James seems to be a nice guy and also he is comfortable in his own skin and both are already good friends, I don't see why not try to explore by being boyfriends.

On a shallow note, James is pretty cute too! I hope they are playing the jealousy card again coz I'm a sucker for this kind of storyline.

Syed doesn't look happy!

I'm wondering whether James is going to turn out to be a device for blowing this whole thing open. Jealousy can make people do rash things...

On the other hand, Marc did say recently that Christian and Syed are on "slow burn," so maybe James will simply serve to bring the boys closer together.

Either way, I'm excited!

Huh. That's not quite the direction I expected this storyline to take. I'm not entirely sure how I feel about a homophobic stalker.

That's a good guess. The spoilers make it sound as though the stalker is someone who has a personal investment in Syed--and I can't think who else it would be! Besides, Syed has been giving Tamwar a hard time over botching his exams and lying to cover that up, so it would make sense that his resentment would boil over when he caught Syed in a compromising situation.

Also Tamwar and Syed have a lot of sibling rivalry and Tamwar is totally crushed out on Amira. Given how royally Syed screwed up before and was forgiven, I could see Tamwar being a bit resentful since he's lost his big dream (for now) and it looks like Syed is being given more responsibility for the family business (which comes with a lot of praise from their father) and with Syed getting married it's like he's the "golden boy" (something Tamwar probably doesn't feel like he can compete with). Plus a new baby on the way so it's not like his parent can even really pay him much mind.

I'm just guessing but it just sounds very personal and no one in the neighborhood who's been around for a long time would dare do it to Christian.

I think maybe it's Christian's sister or Syed's brother. James, Amira, or Syed's mother would be too predictable for me.

I agree cherrios, besides the person who see them according to the spoilers will keep their secret (at least for a while) and I really doubt Amira would do that. Like you said it's gonna be someone who's not too involved with them like Christian's sister or Syed's brother.

Amira will probably be the last person to know about the affair

There is no way it will be Jane. That would be too out of character. Besides, I suspect that she's going to be focused elsewhere. Jane's frustration with Ian and all this business about wanting a child must be building to something!

James is a possibility, I suppose. That would be an unfortunate turn of events, though. I rather like him!

My money is still on Tamwar. He's very bitter right now, he resents Syed and he's got a crush on Amira. He also isn't actually homophobic so he doesn't really care that Syed might be gay, he only cares that Syed is getting away with lying to the whole family and to Amira. I think Tamwar likes Christian well enough but I don't think he'd care so much about hurting Christian's feelings.
No one in Christian's family would ever do that to him.

The only other person in town who I could see doing it would be Janine because she has no ethics but other than humiliating Amira, what would be in it for her? Neither Christian nor Syed has any money or power that would help her.

Also, with blackmail, the whole point is that the blackmailer WANTS the secret to be kept to use as a tool against the people being blackmailed. I think that fits Tamwar.

James is a possibility as you said if he finds out and he's angry or feels humiliated but he just seems like such a good guy. I'd hate to see his character destroyed. I could sooner forgive a young jealous brother than grown up James.

I REALLY don't want Christian to cheat on James.

I think it's Tamwar too. I hope Syed beats him sensless when he finds out lol

I don't think Amira could do it because she just isn't that deep. It would take a lot to continue with the wedding thing and being a "happy couple" if she knew the truth.


James is too sweet. If anything, he'd work to help keep it a secret (even though it pained him) He just isn't that sort of guy.

Since I haven't been watching long could someone tell me what Syed did to mess up. I felt so sorry for James today, when I saw him crying it just broke my heart. But I think Christian did the right thing to break up with James before they went any further. He didn't love James the way James loved him and it wouldn't have been right for him to keep the relationship going.

I really want Christian and Syed together but I do feel sorry for Christian because he getting into a relationship that he's not going to be happy with, because it has to be kept a secert and I don't think Christian is going to be happy with that for to long .

EastEnders actor Marc Elliott has teased that his ongoing gay love story with Albert Square's only openly homosexual character Christian Clarke (John Partridge) is "going to get all messy".

Speaking to DS on the red carpet at last night's Inside Soap Awards, he said: "It started off being quite physical and they're moving into the emotional territory, so it's interesting doing all that. And now they're juxtaposing that with all with the whole religious aspect. It's going to get all messy."

He added: "I think it's wandering into a love territory. I don't think that's been mentioned on screen yet. We're some way off that. It's heading there."

He went on to tease that a couple of Walford's residents will learn about the affair over the coming months.
