true but that was soon forgotten when he realised his son needed him

I still find it hard to understand Masood but I think that's got a lot to do with the writing. One minute you are led to believe like Zainab he wants nothing to do with Syed & then the next he's the doting father making sure he's eating and got enough money

I wouldn't say that he's been a doting father. But my read of Masood is that he's basically a decent guy. Even if he goes astray every once and a while, he seems to figure that out soon enough. But this may change with the writers' new desire to explore his "dark side." I just hope that they don't turn him into another Zainab.

Does anyone know when Christian and Syaed will be back on. This is the only thing I hate about this show they have them and then they just disappear.

ITA! FINALLY they are going to be back - was THAT a long wait or what.

Anyway - the push-pulling continues... not sure if I find this interesting at all anymore.

They really did pick just about the worst time to take a looooonng break . To make Syed's "failure" at therapy believable, you really would need to see more of him trying before he fails. Did he really try very hard? Or couldn't he break his feelings for Christian? Otherwise it's just a blip. I guess we'll find out in a few weeks.

I love the new spoilers ;D after reading so many fanfics of them being together it was time to watch it for real ;D
Unfortunately this is EE and happy couples don't belong to EE, except if they decided to keep them together and to make them face troubles together (Amira & baby, religion, parents, public demonstration...)

Anyway I'm so happy ;D

I agree but I just love it and I hope the spoilers are right thought. People love the story so hope it keeps going on for bit longer.

I agree. I prefer a long drawn out romance to something quick, then they disappear from the show. The angst keeps the pairing alive.

Exactly! Plus with Chryed there's the 'us against the world' element that I always love in a romance

just read on digital spy that "Walford says goodbye to a much-loved duo" (08/05/2010). I hope it's not Christian and Syed, as I didn't really follow all departures, I really don't know

This is to follow up on what I was saying in the main discussion tread about Christian's growth. One of the things that I really like about the spoilers for this week is that Christian is going to demonstrate real interest--for the first time--in what Islam means to Syed. I've always thought that it was a weakness of this storyline that Christian is so in love with Syed, but exhibits so little interest in such an important part of Syed's background and life. I'm glad that they are going to correct that, and I hope that the writers continue in this direction. It shows growth on Christian's part, and there is so much potential for some really intelligent storytelling. So it seem to me, anyhow.
