Yay, many thanks To restate my thing from the other topic: Here is a clip of Gregor's old room (the one where Olli should be living in). And here is a clip of Lars' old room, the one Judith should be staying in. Some thing I'm wondering about: 1.) Have they ever mentioned how far Schneiders and the No Limits are supposed to be from each other? 2.) Is it possible that maybe the two houses are connected in some way? Like the appartment stretches from one house to the next? 3.) You can occasionally get a peek at various pictures in the hallway, do they ever change around? wow, this is taking almost wiki like proportions of obsessionWe really need to send a spy on a studio tour and take pictures of everything. Are we sure that all the interior sets are studio sets? I keep thinking I read somewhere that maybe parts of the Lahnstein castle are a real set?

Thanks Moderator, we'll be worshipping you with endless gratitude.. Then I put here what I've just posted in the General Discussion thread.. BTW, there's a window in the bathroom, but in such position it's impossible! The hallway is supposed to be beyond that wall! But isn't that more of a skylight than a window? In some other shots it looks like it's at an angle but sits more toward a horizontal than a vertical plane. Sorry, I know it's not properly a window, but it was very late and I was too tired to look for the correct word in the dictionary. ;D Skylight, that's it! Thanks. And look behind the shelves in Christian's room...there's another room. OMG, you're right, the wall is open! But I don't think there is another room, it probably is the hallway. But if this is the case, anybody can see what's happening inside! Gregor didn't even need to enter the room from the door to find out that Olli & Chris were in bed together. And the same for Lydia, and everybody else. Gosh, that house is an architectural nonsense..

OMG, you are right, behind the shelves. I never noticed that before. That is hilarious ;D I hope for their sake that they aren't screamers.
so, anybody up for drawing a map for the layout of the rooms themselves? What kind of furniture is in them; like in the backroom and so? After all we assumed for the longest time that there was a shower when it really is a tub only that everybody showes in it
BTW. there's only one tv right? And it is where we, the viewers, are when we look at the couch, right? Based on the episode where Christian is watching phone sex commercials while waiting for Coco.

The restaurant is quite luxury, and it's supposed to be in a more important street, an avenue for example. Is there anybody from Düsseldorf who can recognize if the street where NoLimits is placed really exists? There are some tall buildings in the background, are they part of the skyline of the city? As for the hallway, it seems that the pictures are always the same. One more thing: if you look at Christian's room window carefully (not Christian! I've said the window!!! ;D) you can see that it looks to a rooftop. It may be the one of the nearby house, so that the balcony should be parallel to the kitchen window. I'm just speculating, you know.

I pondered this picture last night. If you look closely, it seems that behind the shelves is a wooden beam the same as the one next to the patio door. Yes, of course. I can picture you pondering this screencap all night long, and especially looking closely to Christian's butt the wooden beams.. ;D

Incidentally there has to be at least one floor between the No Limit and the flats where there are rooms for rent. The whole thing above the No Limits used to be a motel kind of thingie back in the Olli I days.
And when Gregor and Christian's father came for a visit, Gregor gave him one of the rooms. When later the father rang on Gregor's door Gregor said (bitchily because he was mad at his father) that he was one floor to high/that his room was one floor lower.

They're supposed to live at the 3rd floor (4th for the Americans , which is the top floor.

There are windows in the roof as well, sometimes people convert those places to rooms, too. Maybe Lydia lives there?

There's also the side of the house that's touching the other house. There might be a window or even a balcony there. But maybe we got it all wrong and it does not make sense. They film in sets, because it's much easier and they do what they need and don't expect us to analyse it that deeply.

I think the stairs that lead to the flat are at the back of the building. Because, when they come out of the hall into No Limit they are always coming from the left:

Maybe the area behind the shelves is symbol. Like a hidden message to the diehard VL fans. It's really a closet behind the shelves and the set designers are saying Christian can no longer be in the closet now that he's out LOL

I was quite shocked when they panned to the further left part of the bar when Sarah collapsed. I had totally forgotten how huge the No Limits apparently is.
Btw, I saw an episode of Carla and Susanne where they meet at No Limits (back then still owned by Cecile) and apparently there used to be a billard table in that spot.

There are windows in the roof as well, sometimes people convert those places to rooms, too. Maybe Lydia lives there? Maybe one of them is the bathroom skylight? They at least got the angle of the skylight about right to match the skylights we see on the exterior. But then one would have the headache of matching the bathroom up to the skylight on the inside. That would look to be an impossible task, even if one assumes that there are skylights on the other side of the roof as well.

BTW, who made the really huge attempt to draw the Ollian flat? The one that only had two bedrooms though?
Personally, would prefer it if Ollian moved into Gregor's smaller flat (like Gregor did when he married Sarah) and Gregor moved back into the flatshare.

Yes, to my knowledge he owns the building. He gives out the key when somebody wants a room. And I remember the episode where he shows off one of the appartment to Sarah and another chick trying to find somebody to rent it.
Sarah used to live in the small flat with Olivia, while Lars, Christian and Gregor lived the flatshare. When Gregor got married he moved in with Sarah into the flat across the hall and Olli moved into Gregor's old room eventually.

Sorry Roddieb, but I don't understand what you mean. The coat rack is gone? But it's there, I pointed to it with a red arrow! It's never been anywhere else...!? Of course beyond the doorway is a picture!

One thing that always struck me as a bit odd is that the picture on the hallway wall behind Christians bedroom door has english writing all over it? Are things like this common in germany?

Look at it this way. These are the Top music charts of the week: charts.orf.at/oe3/single/2008/woche24/I would say that less than 20 out of 75 song are in German. And out of these about half are pure soccer songs. You find artists like Kidrock, Rhianna, Madonna, Shaggy, Usher, Bon Jovi and Coldplay. I would say 80 to 90 of the music young people (young people meaning people younger than 50) listen to is in English. Even German musicians like Monrose or Sarah Conner sing in English. To us English is the language of the cool and hip. Of pop music and compture parts. Hence, to Germans English really is a very casual thing that they encounter every day. We also get the same movies (though dubbed), the same tv shows (again dubbed). So it's not really that strange to have items that reference some American pop culture thingie.

aldebaran, I'm just losing my mind over the god forsaken flat. In an earlier post someone referenced a coat rack (I don't think it was you) and I thought they were referring to the space inside the door leading to the upstairs. I'm afraid that too much of shirtless Christian is not good for you... ;D

Have just watched the latest re-subtitled epi (7/02/08) from Nanna again. This thing with the apartment is driving me nuts ;D I now find I'm not watching the interaction between the actors but looking at thier surroundings instead. Anyway - in this epi, you get a good view out of Chritian's window and it definitely looks out onto roof tiles (6:53). Also - the shelving unit - in this epi you can't see through the back of it. It seems to be against the wall. I suspect the recent caps that have been posted showing what appears to be space on the other side are a set-dresser continuity problemAnyway - until we get more "new" Ollian episodes, my flat investigation will continue - unless the men in white coats take me away first ;D btw - Christian is shirtless in this episode........... ;D
