I suspect Skam Italia will have no problems getting a 5th season (https://www.mediaplaynews.com/netflixs-white-lines-top-rising-show-skam-italia-top-binge-on-tv-time-charts/). I haven't seen anything about a season 4 for wtfock - but considering they did the quarantine eps, I suspect that the producers/directors are committed to doing more.

Personally I thought this season of Skam France was the weakest. in that they threw everything but the kitchen sink at us. After two seasons of the build up of Daphne's eating disorder, it gets dismissed in about an episode and a half. It was handled like a complete after thought which I think is a slap in the face to the character, the actress and the audience. I get that they didn't have the rights to do Daphne's story, and while I really tried there was nothing I liked about Lola, except that because of her we got to see Elliot more and hear more of his back story. It they were just going to focus on someone we didn't know before the season began, they could have done Maya or anyone else in the new friend squad and I would have been more interested, because I liked everyone in that new friend group more than Lola.

I watched half season 3 back them (i curiously stopped watching when they get together) but i think it's time to watch the season complete.
When you do a show focused on a couple chemistry is probably the most important thing and those two have tons of chemistry

I really wonder how they will do seasons 7 and 8 - is it a totally new cast and school? Will they be connected to Lola, Maya and her friends? What social issues are they going to tackle? France (like much of the West) is having a reckoning with ingrained racism, so that might be a hot-button topic. And since Skam likes to do more than one issue, it could be a Queer Black Lives Matter story, with a bi male lead - and tackle the thorny topic of how little support they have within their own communities as well. Bi men are almost as invisible as trans people when it comes to leading their own stories. Not that any of the Skam versions have had a trans lead yet (except as a secondary protagonist in Druck season 3) - so that can still be a story for season 8, perhaps led by Maya's ex who transitioned to male.

I just binged the last two season. Not bad. I did like how they were able to integrate Lola with the original cast. The only downside is the limited boy and girl squad aside from Elliot/Lucas and Basille/Daphne. Also, I have to disagree with the previous comment regarding how they treated Daphne's story. Resolving an eating disorder is not something that can be done quickly. Considering the focus is not on Daphne, I think they did an adequate job showing the shame Daphne had when Lola found out and that it is a long process to deal with it, considering her first appointment isn't until after the finale. justinate I think it been reported that it will be a completely new cast, which isn't surprising as they are all graduating aside from Lola. Considering the actors for Lucas and Elliot had already said they are leaving the role, I think the show will probably make a fairly clean break for S7 and there will be limited cameos in the future. Probably just mentions of how characters are doing in university.

I ended season 3 and Axel is an amazing actor.
It's a kind of story that it would be almost impossible a decade ago, is full of drama and very romantic. I loved it

Season 7 will premiere on 18 January. Unfortunately, it looks like yet another white female lead character: Tiffany.

Yah, with the old cast gone, I'll probably just check in at the end of the season to see if it is worth watching

So they did give Tiffany a romance with a trans guy, so there's that. But there was no appearance by either Lucas or Elliott. There's one more season left - the S7 finale didn't make it very clear-cut who might be the S8 lead; it might be Bilal (one of the second gen characters). I've no idea about his sexuality but his character Instagram pays tribute to Harry Styles and Jaden Smith who are both noted for their non-gender conforming clothing. www.instagram.com/belike.bilal/

Looks like I was right; season 8's lead is Bilal based on this new clip:
