Elliot is only a recurring character this season. I hope we see him more then we did in season 4.

Assuming Season 6 takes us all the way up to graduation, I am actually hoping they don't do season 7/8. It would mean going into university which would make this a very very different kind of show. |

Axel has confirmed in an interview that he is leaving Skam France after season 6. So if it does get a 7th and 8th season he will not be in it. So maybe they might get some new people to replace the ones who don't want to come back. |

I think it will depend a lot on their approach to introducing a whole new cast - especially the lead of the first season without the old cast.
Skam France had great ratings for season 3, not so great for season 4 even though it followed directly after. Is there any indication of season 5 ratings that would justify them continuing the franchise beyond the already-filmed season 6? Season 5 is the first to completely deviate from stories of the original, and the first to have a straight white male as its principal protagonist. I'm curious to know how this is faring, since so many of the other remakes felt obligated to erase their white male protagonists even though he was gay.

If that is true, then I'm surprised that there are rumors of wanting more seasons. I wonder if it is a case of the creators wanting more, but the channel not being interested.

From what I read France.tv executives are very interested in season 7 and 8. I have no clue what the numbers are on their main channel. |

Despite some missteps along the way (and very little Lucas-Eliot content), this season seems to finishing strong.
I wonder who will be the lead of season 6; I hope it's Basile or Yann.

It was a good season, ratings were not very good. Maxence didn't shoot very much so he won't be in season 6 that much either just recurring. |

They just released the final clip of season 5 and I'm not sure how to interpret the closing sequence which is supposed to revealed who will be next season's principal character. Some people think it will be Daphne's sister (why the heck would they make it a character they just introduced) but that there will also be secondary principals, Daphne herself and ... Eliot. I can understand it being Daphne and her sister - their story has a clear link, but I thought Maxence had very limited availability when they were filming seasons 5 and 6 back-to-back, and how does he fit into the girls' story?
Really disappointed though that it's another female-centric season. 4 to 2 is not a balanced ratio. I kind of wish they'd given the deaf storyline and love triangle to Basile - given his character, going deaf would be a big change for him - and instead explored Arthur's abuse by his father and affair with the older, married woman in his season.

As Axel has said that he would not comeback for a season 7 but Maxence has not confirmed he if would comeback if it gets renewed. |

I'm going to hold off on judgement because there is no context for this picture. We also know that Elliot is a recurring character and thus probably a small part of Lola's story. I'm thinking that maybe he tries to befriend her (as she's such a oy to be around) and she takes it the wrong way.
