Yay it's so much fun to read all of this chatting back and forth. Keep it coming Love the insanity that is Eurovision... keep all us non-Europeans informed ok? Btw, to any women or straight men out there who wished they could have voted in AfterElton's Hot 100 list, they've decided to do a "Ladies Choice" Poll. You can vote for up to 10 Gay Men. Have fun and remember, it's your picks for hot men who are GAY, so no throwing in straight boys (no matter how cute they are) Poll: www.afterelton.com/bgwe/05-15-09?page=0%2C3

Phillip Morris Finds Distributor for 2010 By Corey Scholibo (from the Advocate.com) I Love You Phillip Morris, the Jim Carrey/Ewan McGregor dark comedy about a con man who falls in love with his cell mate, was picked up for distribution Tuesday by Consolidated Pictures Group. The release date has been set for Valentine's Day 2010. The film screened to good reviews at Sundance but languished as distributors struggled for a marketing plan. Featuring explicit gay sex, Phillip Morris is a romantic comedy between two men that makes no jokes about the fact that the two men are gay, unlike films like I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry. The film was seen as too expensive for independent distribution to a specifically gay audience, and the writer-directors always intended for the film to be a mainstream romantic comedy, but it seemed that no studio was willing to take the gamble that it could work. www.advocate.com/news_detail_ektid83707.asp

Ohhh... they wouldn't dare not ask Gregory & Charlie back!! Would they?? Awrgh..... now I'm stressing Kevin & Toby are constantly being pulled apart but they IMO are destined for each other. Gregory himself has said several times in the past that Kevin and Toby are the Ross and Rachel of Dante's Cove. "You want them to be together". So, come on here! tv!

From the May 5th "Gays of our Lives" column by Anthony D. Langford on AfterElton.com: Re: season finale The Walkers learn where Tommy is hiding out in Mexico and plan a road trip to convince him to come home. Kevin, who is still angry with his brother for abandoning his wife and child, refuses to go. Enter saintly spouse Scotty who convinces Kevin to take the trip with the rest of the family. Speaking of Ryan, Saul makes one of his rare appearances when he reveals a secret about the boy’s mother. I’ve got a queasy feeling in my stomach about what that revelation is going to be. www.afterelton.com/TV/gayslives/05-05-09?page=0%2C7

Str8 actors who have played gay roles... Jude Law - Wilde Ewan McGregor - can't remember in which film Robert Carlyle - Priest Jude Law also played Kevin Spacey's boyfriend in "Midnight In the Garden of Good and Evil.” For Ewan McGegor there are actually 2 gay roles and 1 bisexual role that I can think of. "The Pillow Book" (bisexual), "The Velvet Goldmine", & "I Love You Phillip Morris". Off the top of my head here are some more straight actors in gay roles: Russell Crowe in The Sum of Us, Christian Bale in The Velvet Goldmine, Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal in Brokeback Mountain; Dennis Quaid in Far from Heaven, Antonio Banderas in Labyrinth of Passion, False Eyelashes, Law of Desire and with Tom Hanks in Philadelphia, Robert Downey Jr. and Tobey Maguire in Wonder Boys, Kevin Kline in De-Lovely and In and Out, and Richard Burton and Rex Harrison in Staircase. Whew... at this rate it's almost easier to state which straight actors haven't played a gay role. Not really, but the numbers do keep going up.

Just read about a new movie coming out June 5th called, "The Art of Being Straight". This movie does deal with sexual fluidity according to its description so maybe this will be more to your liking lucrece and darcolover55 Plot: The predominately heterosexual Jon (Rosen), bored with New York City, moves to Los Angeles to stay with his best friend, Andy (Jared Grey), and a collection of fratboy stragglers. His sexuality is first called into question when he interviews for a position at an advertising firm. When Paul (Johnny Ray), a hunky executive, takes a special interest in Jon’s abilities, he scores a lunch date and a few glasses of wine at Paul’s luxurious apartment. It doesn’t take long for Jon to realize that he is being seduced. Under intense influence, he gives in to temptation and has a great time. Left feeling insecure about his own identity, he must come to terms with the fact that he can be attracted to both men and women. Meanwhile, Jon’s friend Maddy (Rachel Castillo), a bisexual artist in a committed lesbian relationship, begins a flirtation with Aaron (Pete Scherer), the scruffy male hipster next door – putting her relationship with Anna (Emilia Richeson) in jeopardy. The cast of largely unknown actors delivers refreshingly natural performances (especially Rosen and Castillo). Rosen handles his subject matter with intelligence and sensitivity while developing the frequently debated argument that most people fall somewhere toward the middle of the Kinsey scale. The Art of Being Straight is a must see for anyone who has ever felt that the lines of sexual attraction are not so black and white.

lola, thank you for translating and posting that interview. It's always great to hear what the boys have to say about the show and the characters in their own words. Danke schön! Nanna, glad to hear you are feeling well again! You are very much missed when you are gone. Danke vielmals as always for your dedication! I'm with most of you in initially disliking the new "No Limits" but I'm willing to give in a bit more exposure to see if it works or not for me. Besides, if our guys are in the scene, they'll make it better by their presence right?

Cj4: I LOVE Coupling...seen every episode!!! What character r u referring to? Gina Bellman, who played Jane Christie in Coupling. She has a pretty decent part in it too because while the focus of the story is what happens to "Luke" (Taylor Handley) she plays a pivotal role as the expert on Zerophilia with her own agenda ;D You can see her in the trailer (speaking with an American accent):

I really enjoyed Zerophilia and I loved the premise of that film. I'm surprised that more folks haven't seen that film, because I did a search for slash for that film and I couldn't find anything online for it. It's ripe subject matter for lots of fan fic writers. That would be FANTASTIC if there was any Zerophilia slash... imagine the possibilities!! Awrgh!!! Now I want to read some... . Maybe I should bribe some slash writers with cookies (And thank you for letting me know what Bob & Rose episode you were referring to)

husky, you're right about the Star Trek New Voyages webisodes. I've been very impressed at what a labor of love that is. (When I mentioned new shows in production, I was merely refering to those on TV B-chick, I'm glad you enjoyed today's weather. I found myself wishing I was in Bergen instead And tomorrow is going to worse!! 90 degrees for the Bay Area in April??? (Goes muttering back into her cave) Everyone, Here are previews for 2 movies that are currently playing on the festival circuit (so far in Berlin and San Francisco). First one is a documentary called "City of Borders": Plot: In the heart of Jerusalem - defying generations of segregation, violence and prejudice - stands an unusual symbol of unity: a gay bar called Shushan. City of Borders goes inside this vibrant underground sanctuary on the East/West border of the Holy City, where people of opposing nationalities, religious affiliations and sexual orientations gather under one roof, to find acceptance and create a community among people typically viewed as each other's "enemy." Trailer: The second film is called "Soundless Wind Chime". Plot: Soundless Wind Chime is the poetic journey of Ricky, searching for the lost soul and the past of his deceased Swiss lover – Pascal. The film shows a battle of love, lust, reality, memory and illusions and the grief everybody bears every day. Trailer:

B'chick, I agree with mickey that although I am looking forward to the newest Star Trek movie, I don't have any set expectations for it. I know it's not going to be cannon but on the other hand I'm very curious to see what the new actors playing these iconic characters might bring to their roles. Since there aren't any Star Trek tv series currently in production, it's more enjoyable for me able to get back into this world without comparing it to what's currently showing. I'm really looking forward to Wolverine also!
Mom, you lucky woman! You are so lucky to have found it, my local one never has it. Awrgh.... I'm still searching (unsucessfully) to find Jo's article online. I've been trying to save $ but I may just have to go ahead and subscribe ;D Did you enjoy it?
mickey, hope you have a great vacation. I lived in London for a year and loved it and I'd jump at a chance to visit Iceland. What parts of London/Iceland are you visiting?

Diva, I'm really glad you liked it too. I thought R.T. Davies did a great job of developing the characters and making them seem like ordinary people. It was just so sweetly done. Btw, do you happen to remember what episode that was in? It's a been awhile now since I've seen the whole series so I'm trying to remember the speech you are talking about. Of course I could just go off and watch it again

In case you missed it on TGODT Blog..... "France 2 is telling fans of Clara Sheller to relax - the third season in apparently in writing stage, and the network isn't entirely sure where TeleStar, from which Tetu sourced yesterday, heard about the cancellation. According to new sources, the network is rethinking its strategy on domestic hour long drama on a more global level, but has so far not axed Clara, which - despite the mediocre ratings - was last season's highest rated original French drama. Tetu reminds readers that the ratings have to be seen under the light of the launch of Digital Terrestrial TV in France and the onslaught of new channels that brought with it. Season 1 of Clara Sheller had 5.6 million viewers on average, while season 2 attracted 3.7 million." gaydaytime.blogspot.com/2009/04/france-2-says-euh-we-didnt-cancel.htmlAnd on AfterElton.com a post Re:Clara Sheller Season 3 Submitted by DanielJ on Tue, 2009-04-14 says: "You're right that there is some confusion about the third season of Clara Sheller. Soon after season 2 finished airing, it was announced that the series had been renewed for a third season even before season 2 had started airing, and that there was therefore nothing to worry about, even though the ratings for season 2 ended up being slightly disappointing. It was also announced that the series creator had plans for 4 seasons, literally: one for each season of the year (starting with summer in season 1). The source of the mess: a reasonably reputable French TV magazine recently announced that there would be no third season, quoting the network's chief executive as saying the ratings for season 2 had not been as good as expected (no news so far) and that they had received numerous complaints from viewers who were shocked by the explicit nature of some scenes. However, when contacted by other sources, the network denied that the series has been cancelled, and stated that a decision will only be made once the scripts have been written (they have already been ordered and paid for, hence everyone's assumption that there would be a third season). All this is a shame as a) we may not get a third season of a great series and b) it will put off others from creating similarly daring series in the future. On another note, the US rights to the story have been sold. Not sure what'll come of that. (Oh and there is apparently also a German version of the show (Verrückt nach Clara!)"www.afterelton.com/TV/gayslives/04-13-09?page=0,11#comment-71361
