And I totally agree that I think we should have seen more of Dan Futterman's character, although I'm completely biased as I'm a fan of his. Heck, I was very excited when he was cast as a potential boyfriend for Will in "Will & Grace" (until I saw how his character was written). Sadly though, according to an article with him a year and a half ago (below), it looks like he is putting his acting days behind him and focusing on writing which means I'll have to pull out my dvds instead www.ocregister.com/ocregister/entertainment/movies/abox/article_1738433.php

Anyone know anything about Urbania? I watched it last night and wasn't sure how it ended... hiflyer, I'd agree that Urbania is a really rough film to watch but I came away with a different feeling about the ending than husky14620. Spoiler: Towards the end of the movie in one of Charlie's imaginary conversations with Chris, Charlie tells how he murdered Dean but Chris doesn't believe him. Then Charlie admits he couldn't do it and that he really just abandoned Dean by the side of the road. Then while walking home from he has another hallucination where he reimagines Chris dying in his arms, he kisses him goodbye and then walks past him and when he looks back, Chris is gone. And then when Charlie gets home he is finally able to sleep. To me, that means that Charlie is finally able to move on.

That is a good idea. I never tried it because I don't think if I'd be comfortable bothering any friend with that kind of trouble, and then I'd apologize profusely because I'd feel so bad about it and that would probably make the friend feel uncomfortable, which I would feel even worse about. *rolls eyes at self* I so clearly have issues. Lol, I had to laugh when I read your response about feeling uncomfortable bothering a friend about it because I would act the exact same way! Of course that doesn't stop me from encouraging you to do something I probably wouldn't do And I have the book. *whistles innocently* Oh for goodness sake, pray tell! Did you like it? I was going to order it but I can't seem to find an english translation (mutters to self for the ten millionth time, "need to learn other languages")

You could've written three or four pages, and it wouldn't have been too long! May I ask who Charlie (David) is? I feel by the way you write about him that I should know ... Thank you, Shirley!!!!! I agree with aussie54 that you could have written a novella and it wouldn't have been too long Thank you for taking the time to post what you did (especially as I'm sure you are still recovering from the stress of traveling and the high of seeing them ;D We were all waiting with baited breath for a report. Lol, I wonder where Jo got the notion that you were short? Btw aussie, Charlie David plays Toby in Dante's Cove. Set around a hotel on an island, lots of supernatural stuff goes on, a campy show that knows it's campy, is that ringing any bells? He was also in an independent movie last year called "Mulligans"..... www.imdb.com/title/tt0414731/

Yet, if I ordered a DVD, even the most expensive one, from Amazon, I would pay more for shipping it to Israel than for the DVD itself. Which is one of 2 reasons why I can't afford buying DVDs. matan - That's awful! Could you avoid that by having a friend who lives in a Region 2 country purchase it for you and then ship it to you? If you ever do manage to get a hold of Avner Bernheimer let us know! We'll shower him with compliments for the show ;D I suppose the only other alternative would be to write the actors in hopes they might show it to someone? everybody - You guys may already know this but Avner has written a book titled "You Love Me" in which "Bernheimer describes his daily life with his partner of the last 15 years with a great deal of humor and self-criticism." Synopsis: They are a married couple who never got married, both of them men, and their married life is very similar to the life we all know - with its emotions, sadness and joy, frustrations and above all the moments of laughter. An enticing combination of romanticism and humor. Obligatory reading for all those who appreciate the risibility, madness and beauty of married life. Here's the website were I found the book: www.xargol.com/index.php?cat=2&name=o_all&book=1073Has anyone out there read it?

Louisa - Hope you've had a chance to take a "duvet day" (or two) with the snow. I know if it ever snowed in San Francisco I sure as heck would be! sheepie - I can just picture the farm on a National Trust postcard with the caption, "Scottish Farm" underneath. Oh and thank you for throwing in the photos of the dogs just to make all of us do a collective aww... neand48 - it certainly looks like eveyone knows how to make the best of the mind-numbingly cold weather and those sculptures had me staring in amazement. I had to smile at the little kids though, they are so bundled up it makes me wonder how their parents can find them in a group messyme - thank you for the video of Bergen. It inspired me to spend way too long on youtube looking at other videos of Norway and sending them to friends. Just think, you are helping your country's tourism by being on here. Btw, how was Iron Road? Any good? (darn all of you posting pics and videos, you're making me want to travel to all these beautiful places )

It's a fantastic show, which is how (I guess) it got a green light for a second season the second the 3rd episode of the first season aired. Generally speaking, Israeli shows don't tend to come out on DVD even here, so I wouldn't hold my breath for a region 1 release with English subtitles. After only the 3rd episode? That's amazing! I never seriously thought there was any chance of it coming out in region 1 but it is news to me that shows don't generally come out on dvd at all in Israel. Here in the US they'll put almost anything on dvd, good or bad. (That will teach me not to make assumptions ) All the more reason to treasure it then ;D

I can just say I've never been so impatient to see the 2nd season of an Israeli TV show. Yay so there will be a second season! Will that be with our boys too? Please say its so! If the rest of the show's cast and acting shine half as brightly as the clips you've posted here, then I would love to buy the series but somehow I doubt an english-subtitled region 1 dvd is probably high on the tv company's priority list (understandably so). Oh well Until then as always, for all your hard work... Toda raba!

Just found a link to the press section of the film company that produced "Love Songs". If you download the "Dossier de presse" from this page, it is a 21 page PDF file which has interviews with all the stars, the director, and the musical arranger. www.bacfilms.com/presse/chansonsdamour/Enjoy!
