i NEVER wanted chrolli married - and i think the least they can do is kill this SL - both in terms of writing and emotion. get it right. hit some sort of nail on the head. to go from being a couple that faced so much relatable anxiety and adversaries to blow up dolls sent out to satiate the needs of a fandom does not make me happy. no one wonder thore (in particular) and jo look so incredibly bored with it all. (in my personal opinion). i would be. after however many years relegated to the back and then this shite. We are in agreement here. (Also. Really. They're not *that* bored. They're content.)

the church only supplies legal marriage licenses for straight couples - chrolli get married in a church and as you said i can't see them wasting time on the legal side of it - which does bother me. a LOT. because it's the legal side of it that raised the whole question. i don't really watch it just for the sex, more for the storytelling. which is completely gone tits up at the moment. it doesn't matter that lyseb signed legal documents off screen because they're ceremony was legally recognised, even outdoors or wherever they were, by the LAW. chrolli's in a church is not. they just don't bother to give any realistic explanation and instead make us make the jump. and that's not confronting a real issue. and for a lot of people the concept of 'marriage' isn't just semantics. i don't think i'm expecting too much from a soap. it's not set up to be a fantasy. A) I'll agree with you. Parts of the story have gone "tits up" as you say. How and who marries them isn't one of them. If anything, it's revolutionary. Whether the writers meant to be or not. B)The concept of marriage is not semantics. The WORD however is. Traditionally people have put too much meaning and ideology onto this word from a legal point of view. Call it a "screwing ceremony" I don't care. The point is regardless of if you get married in a church you still have to take care of the legal paperwork. Any couple. No. It's not fair that some couples are give more rights than others legally. (IE taxes.) But I have faith that that will even out. In the states it was illegal for blacks to marry whites in the south. That took time. This takes time. But the word 'marriage' should really only be used in the church. And by the church I mean, doctrine/faith/what you believe. C) Yes. You're asking a hell of a lot from the writers and from VL in general. Their job is to write a FICTIONAL story that touches the hearts of their audience. It's like Harry Potter. What happens to the characters is believable in the world that JK Rowling set up. So what happens to C&O is plausable and real in the world VL set up. Sometimes you have to look past unshaved heads with brain surgery patients (oliver) and the healing power of magic band aids (plasters for you brits) and just Let. IT. GO. and ENJOY. If you can't enjoy. Stop watching it. Come back to it in three months and see if it gets better. I don't know what to tell you. What kills me is that while I have not been super impressed with the writing lately... the writers can't win. I didn't want C&O to get married. I still don't. But so many of you cried GET MARRIED. STOP WITH THE CHEATING. SHOW ME LOVE. STOP ANGST. TIE THE KNOT! TIE THE KNOT! So... guess what! You got it. And even now... there's bitching about how and where. I know from first hand experience that when there's a room full of Chrolli fans together magical things can happen. Cancer can be cured and so can AIDS... (hi GOOL friends) but the [what I would consider] childish nit-picking over something so seriously groundbreaking... floors me. Floors me.

i think people are confusing 'marriage' with civil union THERE ARE VAST DIFFERENCES. i'm sorry but ignorance on this subject really infuriates me - because it fuels opinions like "why are the gays making such a huge hullabaloo about things? they can get married! they can have rings and weddings and even a blessing if they like." unfortunately MARRIAGE - offered to straight couples - is only available in it's complete definition in NINE countries worldwide: belgium, canada, iceland, netherlands, norway, portugal, south africa, sweden and spain. germany is not amongst them. chrolli will not be legally 'married' - and having their union in a church - in the real world they are not even in a legal partnership. sorry but it's the truth... i'm bitterly disappointed with this storyline. and i wish people were more educated in general - no one specific - on the subject of equality because it's important but so readily and easily dismissed. and it's not just 'taxes' that make the divide so vast - it's a huge number of things. sad. but true!! Nope. I know the difference between the two. I was pointing out the fact that in the States you still have to make a church ceremony legal straight or gay. Just being married or blessed in a church is not enough. When you get married in a church you sign two sets of papers. One for the government and one for the church. The set of papers for the government is what makes it legal. It's in effect a civil union. Forget that it says marriage license. The set of papers for the church are just that. for the church. I know a woman who has been legally divorced from her husband for seven years... but can never get married in the Catholic Church again because her annulment has been denied three times. According to Catholics, she's still "Married." This word. Married being used in a legal setting is semantics. My point is this. If/When Chrolli get married in a church out of a church you damn well better believe they'll sign the papers that make it however legal it can be and whatever rights they have in Germany. You just won't get to see that part. (More than likely) And why? Because who wants to waste time watching them SIGN IT? When we can watch the sex. (Lydia and Sebastian would have signed their papers off screen also.)

THey don't have to get married in a church, to be officially married, even heteroseual couples don't have to!!!! And as for teh legality of a "marriage", as far as I am aware after googaling Gay marriage in Germany, its been legal, al beit with restrictions such as tax since 2001 and has been, in two rles, been made more of a par with heterosexuall marriages since that time so the boys marriage will be legal and they will no longer need a living will. Also I sincerely doubt that the show, however much the fans would want them to would marry the boys if it wasn't legal in the Germany. i didn't say they HAD to get married in a church to make it legal. but gay civil partnerships can NOT be performed in a church - so for their 'marriage' to have any legal grounding (the whole point the marriage question gets raised - what with hospital policy) they would have to have a seperate ceremony, elsewhere to make it LEGAL. otherwise - going by germany's current laws, they are in blessed union with NO legal benefits. the church cannot bestow those onto same sex couples. the churches definition of a LEGAL marriage is a union between man and woman. VL are bending the very definition of marriage to make the wedding more traditional or eye pleasing - whatever - it's not real. and it's an injustice for the couple, and for gay people who invest in stories like this because it gives homosexuality a higher profile. i could compare it to some things, that are a little extreme but i won't. however making a compromised situation seem nicer than it is in actuality, does not help a cause. it hinders it. chrolli are so fantastical, there's almost no point. why book a flight to australia david? when you could sprout wings and fly?! Why can't they just sign the papers later (like all couples do) and call it good? No need for a fancy-fair for two signatures. In the states... if you say "I DO" in front of a priest but forget to sign the paperwork... legally you're not married. It's really no different. I wasn't going to point out that Olli and Christian are getting married in a church (since those were contraband photos) but since you did... It's a bit far fetched, isn't it. Because as I already pointed out... the likely of finding a church/minister who will bless a gay couple is rare. But there's nothing wrong with dressing it up and making it pleasing for the eyes. Do you realize that this is the first time that's ever been done on TV (or film!). Do you realize how awesome that is? Do you know how Churches come to changing doctrines? One way is Over time. When things become non-issues. Art. Fiction. Is a great way to help society get used to something and help it become a non-issue. Sometimes that's not always for the best. (I think the portrayal of sex is too lax sometimes), but in this case... this is mother-freaking awesome. VL isn't known for going out and making a "statement" so to speak... and regardless of if they thought "this'll look glossed over in a church" they are. making. a. statement. Even if the writers thought "no one will notice if they get married in a church." Does not one hope one day that in time most people will not care if two dudes or two chicks get married? Aren't we kinda all hoping we get to that point... where it's really no big deal?

they get tested and they get their results in ONE EPISODE. even by soap standards that could most definitely be described as glossing over. and they cannot - writing in the way they are now adequately cover all the emotions and repurcussions of a REAL HIV scare, instead of just routine testing - in a two episode arc. i'm sorry it's impossible. and no gays don't have 'all the same rights as straights' in germany. MARRIAGE between a same sex couple is not legal in germany. as far as i'm aware, the christian church (in all its major denominations) does NOT practice gay unions although it possible to have a union blessed in more lenient and modern churches. so the whole marriage fiasco is improbable. unless they have another legal ceremony elsewhere - they aren't legally married - only blessed in a union. to negate to explore this, especially considering the reason they consider 'getting married' in the first place is to be more legally secure, makes me want to scream. This is getting off topic. But. Gay couples have same sex unions in Germany. Making them legal. Here's the issue. Don't shun. Any hate mail or comments can be directed to my inbox. *evil grin* A gay couple having a wedding in a church is never going to happen unless that church's doctrine allows it. There are some headed that direction (Anglican I believe), and a few rogue (now excommunicated) Catholic priests but that's it. No government (unless it's a government that is run by the Church) can force a church to Marry gays. Nor should they. Nor should the church have to marry them. I'm Catholic and while I do believe that gay couples should have the same legal rights in my country as I would if I were married, that's not something I'm going to ask the Vatican to change. (I have a whole list of things the Vatican needs to change before I get to Gays and Marriage.) It sucks that in most cases a gay couple can't be have their union blessed by God. But the simple fact of the matter is, most religions see it as a sin. At least doctrinally speaking. Obviously I don't care. But I don't write the church's doctrine. The issue with gay marriage is NOT that gays want to get married in the church per say (I'm sure there are some) it's that there are no other means by which a gay person can get married. (Speaking of the States here.) An atheist straight person can still get married - legally. But no church is going to bless that either. Two Jewish people can't get married in a Catholic church. A Catholic and a Jew can... but at least one person needs to be a Confirmed Catholic. The Catholic Church and all churches have the right to refuse to marry a couple however they see fit. That is why in the States there are other options (courthouse, etc.) but the fact that a gay couple has ZERO options is the real issue. The word Marriage as far as I'm concerned is a Church thing. Right now, the term "marriage license" is a government thing. It should be called a union license for ALL couples. And call the whole thing good. And reserve a Marriage (with the appropriate faith documents) for Churches. (And let me tell you... do you know how hard it is to get an annulment in the Catholic Church?!) So in short. If there's a religion... be it christian/jew/or one you want to make up for yourself that will marry a gay couple. THAT'S FINE. But forcing them to do it is wrong. Again this post is SO off topic it's unreal. So please respond to my inbox. Mods... if you want to cut it, you may! (But I needed to say it.) This will become relevant in the future.

kes, @vix @pedris2 and SFI have 3 points to make. (And I'm not in here often... so they're gold!) Regarding marriage at a time when Gays are fighting for their ability to wed: kes writes: 1. This just seems a bit crass to bring into a gay wedding storyline. I understand that VL has handled this issue in the past regarding a straight woman. However, a gay wedding seems a strange time to bring up an issue that has been not only tragic to the gay community, but also used as a means to stereotype and further hate for that community. Okay firstly. No. First... gays in Germany have all the same rights as straights. (Unless someone from Germany wants to tell me different.) The only way the gay community is going to ever be able to have the rights they want to have is if ART shows it first. Sometimes it takes art to make the rest of the world open up. Brothers and Sisters, US Chrolli... etc. can have an impact in the states/elsewhere. Further more... for people who don't have those rights now... a story line like this offers hope. Ain't nothing crass about hope. (I also happen to know a few more details about the wedding... as anyone would if they've seen the leaked photos... and that's saying something.) Regarding HIV! It takes a week to 10 days to have the results. So this is perfectly acceptable to cover in 2 episodes in SOAP OPERA TIME. Fiction is not real life and time does not pass the way it does for us. I'd find it less believable if they took two weeks. Also. Yes. I'm sure they were both tested. But HIV can take a freakishly long time to show up in the blood stream in some people. For most, it's about 3 to 6 months. Testing the blood (or cheek swab) is not a hugely complicated process. I believe you look for certain anti-bodies that show up in the blood. However, it takes so long because labs are usually over worked and under staffed. Usually. And... even if you've been tested every 3 months like clock work... you too would go get re-tested if you found out someone from your past was positive. Why wouldn't you? It's just a needle prick / cheek swab. I'll save my these-are-the-statistics and what's "risky" sex for anyone who wants to DM me. But! Bottom line! Use Condoms! (Even with oral!) Having said that... the thing that really pissed me off... was that this was practically identical to a fan fiction that came out around the time the writers would have been writing this. Grant you neither the fan-fic writer or the vl-writers are onto something unique with this... but while it's fine to explore in fan-fiction... I would have liked the HIV/AIDS story left out of Chrolli all together. Especially given that they had a world-aids day vlog... and presumably were free and clear then. Bring Coco back! WITH A BABY! BRING OLLI'S MOTHER BACK (or his brother) SHIT! USE Zam's entire Faith Hope and Charity or whatever it's called... But the writer's could have pulled a better rabbit out of their hats.

My thoughts for what they are worth.... (THEY'RE WORTH A LOT!)
I'm going to flip a coin on if this is going to be good or bad...
On the head's side: Where will the family be? Gregor...gone. Judith...gone. Olivia...gone. Stella... where's she again? The only thing that would some how make this awesome is if Olli's mom showed up.
Marriage on VL usually brings bad omens. Break ups. (Lydia's already sleeping with Ansgar). Drama. Etc.
Tails side: It's going to be really cute. The drama could be interesting. The heart condition including no real news is in the same spoilers that their marriage is in. So.... could Christian get super sick? I HOPE SO!!!
It doesn't bother me that that was the catalyst for Oliver. He's been thinking about it for a long time. And when Oliver gets an obsessive thought in his head... he won't let it die. He'll whine and bitch until he gets what he wants. So... this is true to character.
I think over all... the writers are probably going to fuck this up. There's SO many interestingly awesome stories that they could do.... like.... finding olivia.... like dealing with Oliver's mom. Like.... whatever.
I think it's the writers caving into all the negative shit that's been going down on a certain vlog.... and I think they're rushing into it.
So............................................................. IDK. Tails wins.

I'm doing this as a quick reply so I hope you kids can follow along: She started in ballet. I'd say that's even less acting training than a soap star. (She's great. I love her!) I completely agree. With exception of Matthew Rhys. [/Quote] I have no acting or stage experience - unless you count playing the Munchkin Mayor's wife in my elementary school's rendition of Wizard of Oz - so I cannot judge Thore's acting from that perspective. My point was I didn't think much of Johnny as an actor when he was on 21 Jump Street. It wasn't until he played a variety of movie roles that his brilliance became obvious (although there were some roles where I thought he was a bit over-praised.) It's that we've never seen Thore in any acting role except Christian on VL. It would be fair to compare Johnny of 21 Jump Street with Thore of VL as that is an apples to apples comparison - first acting job/tv role, approximately same age. We've now watched Johnny's career for 20 years and he's had incredibly diverse roles that show us almost all the varied dimensions of his gift. We've seen Thore's career for about 3. It's difficult to fairly compare. [/Quote] Then it becomes your personal taste. For me, I judge Thore on the potential I see in him. I've seen enough to know what he can and cannot do. (I've also had like actual conversations with him. So this helps.) Girl. We really should swap stories. Facebook? Not that I know of. His latest one was written with Miley Cyrus in mind. I leave you to petition the Sparkness for Thore. I could make this a 40-page post. I'll try to keep it short. There's a lot of rules and things you need to work in the states. Having an agent is a huge step. Not just an agent but an agent that works or has an office in the us. (So Thore's german agent wouldn't cut it.) The big ones are CAA/William Morris and ... one that's slipping my mind. You also need a SAG card. SAG cards are not especially easy to come by.... but they'll count over seas work for work that equivalent in credit. VL would be equivalent. Then you need a work visa. Do able. But hard to make work when you're on a show in Germany 5 days a week. You need a project to sponsor your visa and they won't if they haven't cast you and they won't cast you if you don't audition and you won't audition...... see where I'm going with this. For Thore to work in the US all the cards have to line up just so perfectly. OR. He'd have to line them up for himself and...purely speculating here... I just don't see him doing that at this time. I think for a NUMBER of reasons he's comfortable with VL and his life right now. And I think for him, anyway, the drive to make it big in Hollywood just doesn't outweigh the comforts of home/germany/VL/family/Jana/friends.... etc. I'm happy to be proven wrong on this! How can I explain this.... So I have this "friend" who had the number 1 talk show in Australia for 10 years. You read that right. I had a hand in this, but up until a few years ago... the United States had no idea who he was. Despite huge amounts of contacts that he's worked 10 years to get. AND I mean... he speaks ENGLISH. So you'd think it'd be easy for him switch right over and work in the States.... Yeah.... not so easy. He's got to start all over. I mean. Yes. He's starting over with a 1.5 million dollar house and Hugh Jackman as a friend... but he's got a lot of work ahead of him for the general public in the states to know who he is. 2 years ago he signed with CAA and it's taken him this long to really push the US market the way I was hoping he would. My point: He's got a lot of momentum behind him and he's still going to have to wait until the cards line up just so. But it took quiting his 10-year long show, moving, and a lot of jet lag to make even this tiny of a dent. And Thore has that much more work. It can be done. But the cards have to line up right... it's luck and skill and a whole lot of things. And I'm not 100% convinced that Thore wants to push the US the way I'd like for him to. I sort of take the approach: Do it before you look back and ask yourself "what if" But that's me. It's not Thore's talent that keeps him from the US market. It's 100,000 factors that have to come together at the same moment. As someone who is working on her own to line up the 100,000 factors for her goals... I can relate to the pressure that it mounts on one's soul. And maybe... what he has is enough for him.

riboflavin - I like your letter but not sure what comparing Thore to Johnny has to do with the essence of your argument. While you make a strong point of praising his acting and separating reality from fiction, comparing him to US actors is unfair (and sounds a bit like a back handed compliment.) From what I understand, German and US movies/tv industries are very different. If I understand the German industry, Thore doesn't have a lot of opportunity to transition from soaps to movies. The opportunities are just not there (their industry isn't that big) so it's impossible to tell whether he can translate himself or not until such opportunity presents itself. Also, Thore is around 25 and Johnny is over 40. That's 15+ years difference in experience on top of a totally different industry. Actually. I think it's perfectly fair to compare the two. And it wasn't meant to be a backhanded compliment. It was to show Thore's place. I'm not talking about the acting opportunities in Germany. If Thore wanted to pursue movies he easily could (and has the talent). Diane Kruger anyone? It's not unheard of for a German actor to transition to America. They just have to want it. (Whether or not Thore wants that is a WHOLE other debate.) My point for bring up Depp is that I can't see Thore playing the Jack-Sparrows or the Mad Hatters or the Willy Wonkas. It was to simply to show Thore's place in the spectrum of good acting/acting skill. The 15 year difference has nothing to do with it. Dakota Fanning could act at like 2. Yes. Depp has had waaaay more time to grow and change as an actor... but 20 years ago he was Edward Scissorhands. Thore just isn't going to play those kinds of roles. Just like (sorry Jana!) Jana isn't going to play the kind of roles that Christina Ricci is known for. I hardly think saying he's no Johnny and then turning around and comparing him to DiCaprio is a negative. (DiCaprio is amazing too and gets shafted when it comes to the Oscars.) It's just to show the types of roles I can see Thore playing and dong well at. Things I'd like to see him do: A Bourne-type movie. A Ocean's 11-type movie A romantic comedy with Mandy Moore or something like Coyote Ugly, The Prince and me A thriller / dramatic movie with Morgan Freeman A WWII Movie with Tom Hanks A Period Movie with Natalie Portman A Nicholas Sparks movie that makes me cry! Play a phycho/evil dude like Harry Connick Jr did in Copycat. And I'd love to see him get cast in an on-going dramady show like Psych. OR! An action show like Burn Notice. (Basically ANYTHING on USA network.) Point is. The boy can act but even the most amazing actors aren't going to pull off the Mad roles Depp does. Square peg. Round hole. On top of being a good actor, you have to like fit the part too.

Daaaaaaamn ribo! well that there just about seals the deal, I hope you post that on Chrolli.de, though from the backlash of comments it seems like most people feel the same way and are coming down on those few idiots who either won't or can't keep the Mann from the Man. I'm not going to post it there. But anyone is welcome to take it and cross post if they wish. [Just the letter part and the bit about Hal/having to manage your fans please.] You know I mostly post when I have something bitch-tastic to say. It's what makes me sooo lovable. Well, that, and I go on the defense against anyone messing with my peeps! But yeah. Those were my thoughts. I just think the whole thing is beyond lame. So.... Thore's dimples... anyone? ;D

Here's my take on the whole **Can Thore act gay because he's [OMG!] dating a "hot blonde"** crap.
(Sorry Mods, this is going to touch on Jana just a bit.)
A letter I'd like to place on that other board:
Dear Fair-weather Thore Fans (hopefully not on this board),
You know who you are... the ones who do exactly what he feared when he chose to keep his budding relationship with "blonde girl" on the down-low. The thankless ones. The ones who don't actually get what ACTING is!
Let me explain what acting actually is: It's waking up every morning and pretending to be someone and something you're not AND getting a nice paycheck. And SOMETIMES, it comes with some perks. Like getting invited to cool parties and dating "hotties."
But the CRAFT of ACTING has nothing to do with who you're dating or what parties you go to. It has everything to do with how well you can live in the moment. How well you can pretend. How well you can memorize your lines and blocking. How well you can emote!
Thore Schölermann CAN ACT. He's one of the best damn actors I've seen in a long time. He's no Johnny Depp. But that's only because I don't think Thore can transform himself quite the way Johnny Depp can. (There's only one Johnny People.) But is he as good as Thopher Grace? Yup. Christopher Egan? (Who I think it's going to take over the majority of the void left by Heath Ledger) Yup. Maaaybe as good as DiCaprio? Quite possibly if Thore get's the kind of Material that Leo does.
But again. Who he's dating as well as how well THAT person can or can't act HAS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO WITH HOW WELL THORE CAN ACT.
Now. Here's the thing, fans-who-can't-recognize-good-talent-when-you-see-it, you've probably never studied acting. You probably have no idea what it takes to get into character. AND YES! I'll give you the fact that the lines between Christian and Thore are blurred when you consider all the things the writers have stolen from Thore's real life and written into his character (hunting/camping/horses/boxing...) BUT having the same hobbies has your character does not make that character you or vice versa.
I'm one of the lucky ones who has gotten to meet/know Thore. Trust me kiddies... he ain't Christian. But can he ACT? Yes.
So shut your faces!
Sincerely, Someone who has a clue
NOW! In all seriousness. It's a bloody shame that people would turn on him that quickly. What does that even say about the community as a whole? It isn't a good message, that's for sure. Oh sure, when I found out he got himself a lady I thought, "damnit! well that sucks for me" which is normal. I said the same thing about the guy I drool over at my office when he started dating one of the girls in accounting. (UGH! ACCOUNTING! Really??)
But to make all kinds of accusations on his acting abilities, or judge his character based on a girl I've never met (yet)? That's just crazy-town. And that's the risk you take when you reach the level of fame Thore's reached. Dealing with crazy-town.
It's funny. Hal said something during one of the panels about how actors in gay story lines have to manage their audience WAY more than those in regular story lines. Isn't it true? And isn't it such BS that they'd even have to.
My only other thought on the Thore/Jana thing is this: props to him for not dating a stick-thin 0 lbs type. (NOT at all saying she's fat!) But she's definitely in the Catherine Zeta-Jones, Girl-with-curves category....... JUST LIKE ME!!!! Yayyyyyy! (MY hips don't lie either!) [Shakira reference for ThunderKat]!
So if anything, kiddies, I respect him.
Props Thore. You just rock on wich'yo bad self! And ignore all the idiots who's intelligence level is on mark with a snap pea. Actually, the snap pea is probably smarter.

I have no arm strength. Shuffle Board 2011...oh! or curling! (Kidding, I have no idea how to play curling) BOWLING! You guys do realize there's like no hard feelings right... and if anything I'm still embarrassed that I punched him! (*waves* Hi Thore!!!) How about he and I just play a friendly game of pool... and then shuffle board and call it a draw? Because let's face it. THAT BOY IS TALL! And solid muscle. One bop to my brain and I'm done for.... AND THE DIMPLES.... Mine just aren't strong enough to withstand the power his wields. He might as well be wearing a cape! Might I suggest plain arm wrestling ? It brings on more bets than pool, and you still have the symbolic, though peaceful, conflict. Anyway if it ever came to that, don't worry about his height, just use the hips The taller they are the harder they fall has some truth, in fact I think you're major problem with his height is not wether you can throw him, but where he can land safely. Anyway just think about the arm wrestling please tough girl

^I have no DOUBT of your toughness Riboflavin...but Thore is NOT a small man, and as Tihkon can attest, he has the hands of Andre the giant. I personally would've feared for your life! See... more than I should say... On saturday we were play fighting a bit towards the end of the night... and he grabbed me and twisted my right arm a bit and in my head I went "instep, ribs, kidney" but I ended up just breaking free and laughing. I'm well trained, but I don't think I'd ever really fight him. My sensei is a former pro boxer so we do some boxing training in class. Mostly speed bag (which I'm great at!) and some combo stuff... but we never practice getting punched in the head... SO in that sense I'D NEVER go up against Thore. He's a lot taller than me...(like A LOT) and my brain already has issues (I get migraines, vertigo etc)... but like a no head type of fight ... that'd be fun!! The thing is... and this happens with my brother. I could never hurt Thore. Not even if I wanted to. It's like... you can't hurt someone you like/love. Whenever I get into it with my brother I think of all the ways I could "take him down" but I never do. Because you have to be in control and you can't really hurt someone you care about. HOWEVER... if my life was in danger... B*tch better watch out. I'm quick. I punch hard. And I have no fear. And the black belts do NOT go easy on me because I'm a girl. If anything, they go harder.

Wow, riboflavinb2, I told myself I wasn't gonna turn green with envy that I couldn't come to the event, but after seeing the crazy stuff you did there, I must admit I'm SO jealous!!! I mean, you punched Thore's abs!!! Did you feel the steel muscles underneath the tender skin with the back of your knuckles? *is perving* If the next GOOL happens and I manage to get there, you guys will SO lynch me. Because I'll drive the actors away with my perviness!!! ;D ;D ;D Let me remind you... he [kinda] asked for it. So it was far from pervy. But the boy can take a punch. I was going to let him punch me back... and he was going to but I reflectively blocked and he said, "okay, no." He's too funny. I mean... I really would have let him. (only girl grandchild on both sides. I can take a punch.)

Alright! It's high time I sit down and recap/reflect on last weekend (OMG I can't believe it's already been like a week!) But if I don't, I'll never get any of my work done today. I got into NYC Thursday and was nervous as hell. So nervous I was speaking in third person. It's not that I'd never been to NYC before, I had been lots of times. It's that I'd never gone alone and to meet swarms of people I didn't know. What would my room mates be like? Would it all be worth it? A lot was running through my head. So I sat in Starbucks waiting for my room to be ready and obsessively checked my phone for updates on if other people were already in the city and all of that. Then... I got to check in... and I climbed into my pjs and took a nap. I knew I wouldn't have much sleep and I was beyond exhausted with a migraine threatening me. (I had been in DC first.) So then Shirley called me and YAY!!! They were here!!! And oh my... I had been talking to Shirley almost every day for like almost a year and we were BFFs. It was if I'd known her, courtney and the baby since time began. And Patricia too! (Though I don't talk to her as much because of the time difference.) So BAM! Then "Sunshine" showed up... and I was just so happy to hear familiar voices and meet the people I'd been stressing with over this whole event for like months. We all had our moments behind the scenes where we said, "how in the hell are we going to pull this off?!" or moments were we were like, "damnit! that email Riboflavinb2 sent out was so bitchy...jesus why am I doing this again?" But hugging them...seeing them... made me cry. Sunshine (and I'm too lazy to look up how it's spelled in German...and so I'll just say "J")... J and I decided to meet up with many of you at Second on Second. I also decided to break in my new four-inch slut shoes. J warned me not to. She was right. The rest of the weekend would involve me complaining about my feet...as I only packed heels. (I should note, I have two two-inch titanium screws in both of my feet.) And a week later, I still can't feel the middle toe in my right foot. But the karaoke was great. The soft-core show was great (whoever he was... LOL) and I knew right then and there it was going to be an amazing weekend. (I was also kind of drunk.) So Friday comes along and I slept in. A part of me wishes I hadn't... but I already wasn't feeling good and the drinking didn't help...and I needed all the sleep I could get because right when I got back home I had an uber important meeting that [has] the potential to change my life. (PM me if you want to know what that's about.) So I slept in. Then there was lots of getting ready and meeting more people and getting stuff together for Madame X... and I still hadn't met Jo or Thore or anyone... and sigh. Nor had I met Barbara yet! Another girl I've been talking to for years. I met her when we got to X. And again, more with the instant bonding. Then it was GET TO WORK. PEOPLE ARE LINING UP ALREADY! So we got all that together and I got locked in the coat check... and you remember what that night was like. But let me tell you my special moments. A) Thore kissed my cheeks when he met me. I hope Thore's not reading this (Hi buddy!) because hell if I almost didn't lose my cool right there. I'm used to meeting celebs. I've hung with grammy winners! But when that boy kissed my cheeks I think I reverted back to a 12 year old. And stayed that way the rest of the weekend. Any time he looked at me I had to turn away else I would have thrown up on his shoes. B) That didn't stop me from punching him in the stomach. (More on that in a bit.) C) I got into a convo with Jo about where I'm from and why he should come. Then someone else from near where I am from said that Spain was better and I could have punched that kid in the stomach too. Way to take the thunder out of my story!! Sigh.... D) Some lovely Japanese Girls gave Thore a Kimono and Thore turned to me and said, "I should take up Karate now." Heaven must have heard me because I said, "I'm actually two away from black belt." And he said, "I box." and I said, "I know. We should spar sometime." And it was kinda a running joke... E) Out in the back, J and I had a conversation about how she was so glad to learn I'm really not a bitch. When in fact, I'm one of the coolest people she's ever met. Okay! I might be putting words in her mouth just a bit... but really! I'm very nice! F) Thore mentioned something about karate and held up his shirt to show off his abs. (They're everything you'd think they should be...and more. So flat you could fry eggs.) And it was an invitation to punch him. And with his permission I did. Hard. I didn't hold back. He grunted and said, "nice one." I don't remember anything after that. Because I couldn't believe I punched Thore! Then... I had breakfast with the girls...and Jo and Thore showed up too. That was nice. I apologized to Thore for punching him and said, "I was kinda drunk." He said, no worries... or the german equivalent. So I tried to let it go... but I still feel kinda dumb. Then again... it was HURRY UP! PEOPLE ARE LINING UP!! GO GO GO!! Saturday... Oh Saturday. I played pool with Thore... who was desperately trying to let me win... but I played MY WORST GAME EVER... DO YOU KNOW HOW CUTE THOSE DIMPLES ARE? (Yes. You do.) I even have a set of my own dimples... but mine were no match. I even said, "look would you just win already? I can't play this game with those dimples next to me." Then also Barb and I shared shoes. Remember my feet hurt and as luck would have it, she wears the same size as me. I also fell in love with Gregory Michael... who told me I have a beautiful name (That I can't share with you publicly... but you know what it is!) I had Dinner with the girls and Tom C and Tom, Barb and I exchanged ex stories. If he writes someone off and sends them to China... I know he was paying attention to me. No. Really, he practically told me his whole life story... and he's beyond a sweet heart and I fell in love with him too. I also fell in love with Matthew, one of Jo's friends who just happened to show up. I met AJ but didn't say much to him. Thore made me shove a sandwich in my mouth AND I CANNOT REPEAT WHAT HE TOLD ME.... so you'll have to PM me for that. SO funny! But if there's anything I would have changed... I would have grabbed Thore's air guitar, threw it and danced with him. (Next time! I promise!) He's too much of a... what's the world... cheese ball. The kind of cheese ball you love. Behold! The power of cheese...and dimples. Moving on... I made Thore and Jo be in a video for my video blog (need to edit that still). And for the most part... here's where I come to the end of my weekend (leaving a lot out and forgetting just as much.) Meeting all the actors was great. BUT MEETING YOU GUYS WAS AMAZING. I had people coming up to me telling me thank you... and not gonna lie, it kinda freaked me out. I'm a back stage kinda girl. I write books because I'd rather live vicariously through my characters. You all made me feel so very special... and made all the crazy stress that goes with planning an event like this worth it. I know everyone on the planning committee feels the same. We're just all really, really blessed to have this kind of a community. I have life-long friends in J, Tihkon, Zam, Shirley, Patricia, Matthew, Barb, Court, Baby, and Thunderkat, and everyone else... I bawled my little eyes out on the way home. I didn't want to leave. So yes. I really think we're going to do this again. Save your money. I think we just have to. (Oh, and Brent ear-f*cked me. (with his finger) Hi Brent!!)

That's exactly what he's like. He's hilarious!!

Some of our lovely members with Thore. Including bsgnut, scarpien, and riboflavinb2. Hi guys! If ya'll are wondering why I look like that, it's because Thore coxed me into stuffing it in my mouth (that's what she said). "It" being a sandwich. I actually bit off more than I could chew [pun intended] and had a hard time *cough* getting it down... so he was sweet and gave me some of his drink. But then... someone knocked it over. And that someone was NOT me! I knocked over a lot of glasses this weekend... but that one was not on me!! Gürtel und Ziggy ;D This right here, just makes my day. You don't even know. P & P

I'll have my "recap" and such later tonight/tomorrow. I'm running on 5 hours of sleep at the moment...and I might pass out. Just a quick shout out...Tihkon... YOU'RE WELCOME!!! (For taking that hot photo of you and Thore). Heh!! I love how it turned out. I just WISH I had been looking at the camera when you took mine with Jo. I should also just state, here and now, Tihkon's camera wasn't turned on when Thore knelt in front of Tihkon to sign his shirt. It I TRIED!!!! But it DID happen...and was funny. -T

Riboflavin has arrived in NYC. She's frazzled and tired but otherwise okay! She feels oportunistic and happy. It's a strange feeling for her, really. She sometimes speaks in 3rd person when she's a bit nervous.

I know I'm not supposed to talk about Thore's private affairs, but an hour ago, he changed his relationship status on Facebook to "In a Relationship". ***passes out the tissues***

After the last couple of pages I thought I went to the Jo thread by mistake. Guess I was wrong. I want to echo Shirley's sentiment but go a little further with my reaction. Some of the comments here have really bordered on crossing the line of good taste and manners. Even if they are jokes, they can be misunderstood given the international membership of our community, especially if English is not their first language. (Google translator and babelfish don't have a sense of humor) It's probably not in good taste to publicly speculate on the actors' sexuality or dating life, whether they are a "one-night stand" type, and ESPECIALLY if the Jo and Thore are are or have ever hooked up with one another. Why do I think this? Because in just over a month, these men are crossing an ocean for a SECOND TIME to meet with their fans to thank them for their support. The hard work of many members of this community have made that possible because of the quality of community that we have been for the last couple years. More often than not, we are a respectful bunch of obsessed fans. Let's be appreciative of these actors who are giving their personal time to thank us and raise money for charity, to thank us who appreciate what they do professionally. This isn't directed at anyone in particular. It's hard to keep this kind of thing in perspective when we're having fun amongst ourselves here. Zammy...May I please just say thank you? Thank you for saying so eloquently what I wanted to say. Let me expand a bit more... I understand it's fun to speculate and dream and hope that these men could maybe, just maybe, be what you hope them to be... or think you see them being (or not being). And the VL writing does blur the lines a bit by taking aspects of the actors' lives and putting them into the characters they play (horses, outdoors, cooking, happy-go-lucky etc). But let me reiterate that an actor's public persona is not always who they really are. Sometimes you meet them and they're jerk-faces (not saying jo and thore are... they're not) and sometimes they're sweethearts and just like you thought'd they'd be. I have met and hung out with all types of celebrities. From grammy winners to local radio DJs...and at every stage of celebrity they keep their lives semi-private. Please remember that what you see is not always reality. Does it matter if Thore does or doesn't enjoy a one-night-stand? Are you hoping he does so that you might have a shot? Are you hoping he doesn't so you might get married and make babies? Do we really think that's likely? It's fun to dream... but when it becomes speculation just for the purpose of confirming your fantasy that's when lines get crossed. We have a great community here largely impart because the vast majority of us are respectful to each other and to the actors we love so much. We're a diverse group of crazies... but remember the actors DO read these boards...and ARE coming to a very intimate gathering where most of us will be present... let's continue to be respectful of them and of each other. It's what keeps this place so awesome.
