An engraved watch would have been nice. But an MP3 is cool, Will probably likes it. I agree. This inclination of Will is too adolescent to able to appreciate the watch.

They do have their song that is played when they are being loving. I actually miss that song now. If you're referring to that awful Brokeback Mountiain-ish music, I hope it's gone for good. It's way too sappy does not fit young hipsters like Sonny and Will. I'm so happy that we're getting more Brian!

If it weren't for Nick's homophobia, I would be rooting for him during the custody battle that seems likely to occur. Will is just so spineless and unlikeable for me right now that I find it very difficult to sympathize with him even despite Nick's bigotry. I'm only siding with Will by default. If I had my say in the matter, this baby would be raised by Sonny, perhaps with the assistance of Brian, Justin and Adrienne. She is starting off life badly when her current parental figures are Will, Gabi and Nick, regardless of how much they each profess to love her. I totally agree with this. I'd much rather watch mature people like Sonny and Brian parenting a child than Will and Gabi. It's shame that the show is setting us up to hate Nick, just to prop a spineless and (currently) hard to root for character. I only times I have found Will watchable lately is when he is with Sonny.

Okay. Time for a shallow observation, I think that ................... Sonny's a Bottom! So far, there's been at least two telltale clues. First, we've seen Will pinning Sonny down on the bed while they were kissing and last week Sonny was totally in the passive role with Brian. I always thought that Sonny would be the sexually dominant one of the pair or maybe WilSon are both versatile, but I haven't seen anything that suggests this.

I'm glad WilSon's done and I would not be sad if they never reconciled. Although, they've had a few swoon-worthy scenes, there's a fire that just not there for me. Most of time, Sonny comes off as Will's dad due to the differences in maturity levels between the two. Will is such a ducey character. I actually though that Brian was too soft on him during their confrontation. Will deserves to have his ass handled to him for the way he's treated Sonny. I wish BriSon was the future, but we all know how things will go.

OMG!! That BriSon kiss was so HOT that my television melted!!! Will who??? ;D At first I was a little disapointed because I couldn't see the actual kissing because of the lights being turned down. The op was right. Sonny totally set the mood for what he wanted to happen. Next, Will shows up and now Brian and Sonny are making out in the light. Yay!! BriSon is must hotter than WilSon, IMO but I'm still holding on to my Channy fanasty pairing though.

[Thank you , I'm getting tired of the gay boy line. Me too because it seems out of place considering Nick and will are family. I think the show really wants us forget that fact most of the time because he and Will are so distant with each other. If this were real life instead of "that gay boy", Nick would be saying "my cousin the homo or "my homo cousin"", but that implies a relation that were suppose to forget exists most of the time.

Will is a popluar character and I feel that as long as he remains, he will be connected with Sonny. Some have said that Will will get a more mature partner, but Sonny already is a mature partner. He's traveled the world and has been out for awhile. I wont say there wont be another person brought in at some point, but I think right now Days is still trying to figure out what to do with the gay characters they have now. I don't recall if I used the word "mature" for the new character, I think I said "dynamic" i.e. someone who comes in as frontburner and interfaces regularly with most of the show's cast unlike Sonny. It could see a new DiMera being brought on Will after Sonny. What if Chad had a gay twin brother? We could then get "Chill" and Days could still have their young heterosexual lead - win/win for all. The best option for me though would be to keep Freddie and let Sonny go a bit dark and be more dynamic.

I don't see how people can compare Sonny to Noah. Noah had absolutely no ties to Oakdale. He was brought in for Luke, and that's it. They made no real attempt to integrate him into the town. Everything he had was tied to Luke and the Snyders. On the other hand, Sonny is a Kiriakis. Yes, they brought him to town for a gay story, but he has family in Salem. They're trying to have him involved in other things in town, his friendship with Chad, the coffee house and his relationship with his family. Sure, they're not doing the best job expanding on these stories, and there is a lot more they could do, but it's more than Noah ever had. And it won't be as easy to have him leave the show and make sense if he is just a passing thing for Will. Yeah, Sonny and Noah are not exactly the same but there are enough similarities IMO to make comparisons. For instance, they both only exist as appendages to their significiant others and they both received reduced airtime even though they were/are a part of a frontburner pairing. I see Sonny as the evolution of Noah. Days looked at where ATWT went wrong and they are trying to avoid those same pitfalls. For Noah, after he and Luke broke up there was absolutely no reason for him to stay. His move to LA made sense for his life. Sonny is different. He does have ties in Salem, his family, school and a career. He's not going to leave because he and his boyfriend break up. Even if it is for good. They'd have to make some major changes to his current path in order to have him leaving make sense. Or maybe I'm just being a naive optimist! You're right about Noah. If ATWT wasn't cancelled he probably would have gone for a few years. However, the character (actually the actor) was hugely popular much like Sonny/Freddie so I think in the long run they might have relented and brought Noah back sooner than necessary. If Sonny has a permanent break with Will, he's a goner IMO. The show is not invested in him now outside of Will. Do you think that is going to change if Sonny becomes single again?

I hope this General Discussion thread is the apporopriate place for this comment. I occasionally visit some sites like about.com, tv.com, etc. about Days and I must admit I've been worried and even a bit shocked by how much hate there is for WilSon. The article could be about general Days' cast changes, and comments almost immediately go to WilSon and how much they're ruining the show. Even an article about the fact that Days' ratings have gone up turned into a WilSon bash fest starting at comment #3. I don't care whether they're homophobic or if they just find WilSon boring. In the end, it doesn't matter. Either way, it's pretty discouraging and I'm worried the producers/writers won't be able to justify keeping WilSon in the forefront for long if so many viewers are turned off by them. It's pretty well known that there are people being paid to post negative comments on any LGBT-related article on the internet by anti-gay groups. Hopefully TPTB are aware of this, but we should not assume so. Back in the day, ATWT viewers actually mounted a daily campaign to help drown out the haters. I participated sometimes but it was too huge of a commitment for me to do everyday. At this point however, Days has a lot more to lose than gain by axing their gay characters or storyline. We're not 'there' quite yet with equality, but in 2013, considering the progress so far, and especially after what happened on OLTL, I feel like they should be a lot more afraid of NOT continuing the story. They would get criticized big time for sure. Sorry to keep mentioning other soaps here. ATWT and OLTL found themelves in the exact same quandry and each show handled things in manners in which I consider to be unprofessional. ATWT knew they could not easily do away with Nuke because Luke was an important and popular character on the canvas much like Will is at Days. Their solution was to have Noah disappear for weeks at a time. When Nuke fans complained and ATWT realized just how popular the couplng was we got more Noah, but then a kissing ban was implemented. After almost a year, the fans said "Enough of this sh-t!", skipped over the soap press who are basically mouthpieces for the shows and went directly to the Associated Press. To all of our surprise, the story about the kissing ban went worldwide - even to countries where ATWT did not air like Japan. Needless to say, Nuke were kissing again within days. :-) I'm not going to say much about OLTL. I haven't seen a single episode of that show since Kish's firing and I was a big Dorian and Viki fan back in the day. I also will not be watching the Prospect Park version either - unless the show reintroduces some gay characters.

Well if Sonny is still in the picture then hopefully will see them both together more in the future... I would not be surprised at all if Sonny is only around for another year or so. I could totally see the TPTB getting rid of him so that the Will can "move forward". The same thing happened on ATWT after all. Sonny is a transitional character for Will just like Noah was for Luke. Luke was then put in a mature relationship opposite a lead character and he became lead as well. Although, this probably had more to do with Martha Bryne quitting and the show being cancelled. ATWT became a bit more daring once the ax swung. The thing that really irks me is why are WilSon's scenes so short. I get why they cut the romantic scenes (eventhough I certainly do not like that) but they keep every scene where it's them alone to a minimum. I can't even recall a recent time where WilSon had EJ/Sami/Rafe sized content in a single episode. The only thing that comes to mind is the fireside chat in the townsquare last winter. There was plently of Sonny (and Will) dialogue in that episode.

Just finished watching the aftermath of the wedding fiasco episode and I am kind of feeling happy and sad both at the same time. Happy because as Freddie and Chandler fan, I felt the episode was brilliant acting they’ve both ever done. However, as a fan of WilSon, I felt cheated at the lack of presence they had throughout. I know that this was to happen but I was really hoping that I would be proven wrong. I really don’t understand how hard is it for the writers to understand that this baby storyline majorly affects the two couples WilSon and Nabi. Yes, I do understand that the others are affected by it all but that does not mean you focus on the couples that are least effected in comparison to the ones who are mostly affected. Where is the logic and fairness in all that. I mean at least give the two guys to talk through their problems properly, give Sonny to vent out his hurt, pain, frustration and anger PROPERLY. I mean if Freddie wasn’t such a great actor I don’t think we could have seen the mixed emotions of hurt, pain and anger on Sonny’s face in just two/three minute scenes. The moment Chad walked in you could see his eyes well up and you could feel the pain in his voice. At the same time you could see and feel the anger and frustration in his voice at the same time. Freddie did a phenomenal acting today and that is why I wish Days will show more of Sonny because he was so brilliant today. And if Freddie was phenomenol, Chandler was extraordinarily amazing. Another Emmy is probably on his way. Just like Freddie he too can emote brilliantly with his eyes and voice. Throughout his scenes with Lucas, I could not take my eyes of him. Not because he is beautiful but because he was making Will’s dilemma feel so real. I loved that conversation and you could actually see that Will is finally coming to the realization that there is a possibility that the baby would be just fine even if its with him. You know that I am in agreement with you on think but I really think once and for all we should drop the Freddie airtime thing. It's become tiresome and non-productive. The truth of the matter is that AS, GG and JS are the true stars of Days and everybody else is just sort of supporting. CM however seems to the lead young adult character since his Emmy win and he is now featured within range of the top tier but Will is still supporting. Notice how often the conflicts in Will's life provide fodder for Sami and she in turn gets more airtime than him and can even take over the story from him? As for Sonny, he's supporting a supporting character which is not unlike Cameron ATM. Basically, they are both third tier. What Sonny thinks, does and feels should not matter much to us because he's nonessential to the writers and producers. However, we do care because we can see that FS has talent that has yet to be untapped by the show. Sadly, I don't think there's much that we can do to get Freddie more airtime. There's just too many factors to consider. IOW, I we're pretty much better off being happy with what we've been getting so far.

I really feel like yesterday should have been Freddie's chance for an Emmy nod and Days blew it for him. Yes, the show was really entertaining, but the biggest blow-up should been WilSon not show-hogging Safe. This "Sonny the Understated" crap is so last year already. Thank god the actors have true talent because the writers gave them barely anything to work with and they still able to sell it.

I liked most the scenes today too. It was especially nice to see that the old Ejill dynamic still exists. Also. Lucas was on fire! WilSon was their usual amazing selves, but it really pissed me off that once again the show let us know that Sonny is not important.
Sam and Rafe spent nearly 20 minutes yelling at each other yet WilSon could not even get 7. Why didn't they let Sonny let loose on Will big time? C'mon this was a huge breach of trust in their relationship, but Sonny's mostly restrained anger made him come off as weak. Where was the fire, brimstone and vitriol?? I wanted to see William Horton get his a-s reamed, but instead we got poor hurt puppy dog Sonny -again! They basically said that as long as Sonny knows that Will loves him, he's going to allow Will to walk all over him. Will has a price to pay so far it looks like it will go uncollected. For shame!

This is not actor bashing . Because some people give some constructive criticism doesn't equate to actor bashing so I certainly hope this isn't directed at me because that would be so off base. So what if some of us feel the passion could be more intense at time. I won't speak for others but I am not saying Freddie or Chandler are not doing a fabulous job or shouldn't be given accolades. But that doesn't mean I can't say they have areas that need improvement. I don't think an exception should be made just because they are playing gay characters. To me it's one in the same as they are simply playing two characters that are in love. I thought their love scene was incredible along with other moments that I have pointed out. Actually, I think the OP was referring to me. I was going to respond, but I think you stated my perspective with more grace than I would have which means I totally agree with what you wrote above. I think it is really far-fetched to speculate about what a person thinks, especially a person, none of us knows in person. And that applies for some other posts for others, too. I personally don't care what actors think or even say. Yeah, it is but that's why I made sure to label it speculation besides we have plenty of downtime here to talk about every aspect of the show when the boys are not on. We'll never know if my hunches were right or not anyway. To me it goes too far to suggest that Chandler was just phoning it in. I think Chandler makes a sincere effort in all his scenes. Was he perhaps uncomfortable in the first kissing scenes? That's more likely. But then so was Will so maybe Chandler played it right. Maybe "phoning it in" was too strong of a term to use, but I know what I saw and it's been verified by others that something was off acting wise between WilSon from the moment the new writers material started. I was not just referring to the kissing scenes, in almost every scene Chandler and Freddie did together before Christmas something about Chandler just seemed off to me. I know that all this was suppose to be new to Will, but it was played like Will suddenly became mildly interested in Sonny out of the blue. I just didn't buy it. I was hearing one thing and seeing another. Maybe, it took the actors time to adjust to the shift as well and maybe that's what I saw. Between Christmas and NYE something changed. All in a sudden WilSon finally became real in a way. I now see the chemistry and both actors performing on the same level. Of course we know the majority here saw it from the beginning but not me. Please don't think I'm just picking on Chandler though. If it seems like I'm hard on him, it's because I think he most often displays a higher level of acting ability than his similarly-aged peers. And I agree with the person who said that Chandler always gives his best to all of his performances, but every actor no matter how talented have their off days. Last year, I got in hot water over at another board for suggesting that Chad be recast. I like Casey Deidrick and Chad has since gone on to become one of my favorite characters on the show. However, last spring Casey was barely on and when he was he always looked like he was bored and it seemed like the writers back then didn't know what to do with the character. I suggested that they recast with a slightly older and more dynamic actor as a way to open up more opportunities for Chad. Of course, I got massacred because CJD is well-loved among Days viewers, but in the end they had to agree with me that he was phoning it in out of boredom because it was blatantly obvious. It's only when Chad lost Melanie that I started seeing what I terrific little performer Casey is and he's been consistent every since. So I'm glad no one liked my recast Chad idea then after all.

psss Seanny I think you mean Abby's crush on Austin. Jack is her dad ;D. Oh yeah, thanks. I have no interest in arguments either, and I don't think one is necessary. I haven't been happy with every single choice Chandler made, but for the most part I can say I don't agree with the 'phoning in' thing. But everybody sees things in different ways. In response to Seanny though, what you're describing would have been completely unprofessional on Chandler's part. I just really cannot see that being his motivation, although I think it was very clear he was bummed to leave his scenes with EJ behind. Which is understandable - he was enjoying himself and the fans responded to that in heaping numbers as well it seems. But as I said before, to each their own of course, that's just how you feel about it. Personally speaking, I did not enjoy that interview either for a time and was kind of upset about it, but overall I think it's a little unfair though to hold that against him and a bummer that it sounds as if it basically ruined the potential enjoyment of this pairing for you. Actually, it was somebody else here who suggested Chandler was phoning in scenes with Freddie back then. I was repeating it because I have the same opinion. I could clearly see a diminishment in the dynamic between the two actors compared to their earlier work. And now, their dynamic is stronger than ever; something obviously changed. My opinion which is complete speculation, is that he thought his scene time would be less if his primary scene partner was Freddie based on how the previous regime treated Sonny. Now, that it has proven to be unfounded, he started to put more into his scenes with Freddie. Again, all this could be completely false. I wouldn't say Chandler did anything wrong purposely. These things just happen. Sometimes you could be saying one thing but your body language is saying otherwise. For me, I think it was easy to spot because Chandler always brings such a high-level of performance to his work. Do we even notice or care when Camilla's not convincing?

There's so much to reply to and I'm just too lazy today for quotes so I just going to make statements. First, Abby was not backburnered after the breakup with Chad. In fact, she was given her own story about her silly crush on Jack. Second, it's a clear as day to me that Chandler phoned in scenes at the beginning of WilSon and up until before Christmas. He probably was pissed that the new regime took away his great acting partner, James Scott and now he has to be attached to a third tier character that had barely been on the show for most of the year. Don't forget that interview he did where he praised JS and did not even mention Freddie which he then had to clear up via Twitter. This is why I could not get into WilSon until recently. Will and Chad had pretty smoking chemistry before Sonny hit town. They still weren't as hot as Chad/Sonny though IMO. I'm waiting for the scene were Will tells Chad that he was his first crush. I'm sure Chad will be all... I think Tad and Sonny have some smoking chemistry as well whereas Tad and Will is just minor because the show has never developed their friendship. I don't think that WilSon's romance can be compared to Nuke or Kish. I know for a fact that both of those pairings were told to downplay their affections. Also, public opinion on gay couples has shifted tremendously in the past 2 years. I look at it as Nuke/Lure paving the way for Kish who paved the way for WilSon. At each step the romances got better. I'd also say that QAF paved the way for both daytime and nighttime gay characters.

I think it's time for President Obama to officially join DOOL. He's been seen in the 1pm EST time slot on NBC more than Doug, Julie, and Roman in the past year. Days should (humorously) offer him a contract. I would love to hear his response. It will probably go something like this, "Thanks for the offer but I'd rather remain the Interrupter and Chief".

I don't see how anyone at the wedding will be even mad at Gabi and Nick. They didn't force Will to do anything. Won't Nick will come out looking like the good guy. This should be in the spoiler discussion thread....... We do know that Sami will not be happy with Gabi when truth comes out. OMG. Is Nick obsessive much? Planning out their lives for the next two years? Can't wait till it all blows up in their faces. I don't play close attention to scenes that aren't directly WilSon related, but I thought Nick had planned out their financial future to which I applaud. I wish more people Nick's age had such foresight and determination. This whole baby story so far has been about depicting Will as irresponsible and Nick as the opposite IMO.

WilSon today was just so "Wow". There were 11 kisses!!!! Four in one scene and 7 seven in another. Anybody would be hard pressed to argue that WilSon's romance is not being treated fairly. In fact, I think that show is overstating it's commitment to the characters even with tomorrow looming.
While Wilson were super cute, I found the Will/Sami scene to be equally adorable. We usually see scenes like this with Sonny and his parents so it was a welcome surprise to have it from the other side for a change.

Where does this stuff come from? Who could be more dynamic than Sonny? He ended the feud between his and Chad's families, rescued Melanie, climbed K2, toured Europe, started a web site, started his own successful business while still going to college, punched out T, takes Will wall climbing. They kept Sonny around to hook up with Will for a year. They're not going to be getting rid of him anytime soon. Wilson is a big success and Sonny is well liked by the fans. Nick is on the show just for a story arc, but Sonny is much more deeply embedded. I see nothing that suggests he'll be going anywhere. It comes from just out of my head with the exception of the ATWT stuff. I was just saying that I don't think that WilSon will be the next Bo and Hope unless the show decides to graduate Sonny to Tier 2. Sonny's popularity may have gotten him back onscreen, but it hasn't resulted in him getting his own story as of yet.

That is why if nothing much comes from what lies ahead with the secret coming out that leads to Sonny being treated like an individual, I don't see anything ever changing. That to me spells not much longevity for Sonny nor Wilson. I would think they will just bring in another guy for Will, one they have interest in writing for. The roses can only last so long before they move on to something else. It's funny that you write this because I have been thinking that things will be like so for a year already. I too fear that Sonny may just be a transitional character for Will. IOW, Sonny is Will's guide into gay life and once Will has fully adjusted Sonny will either leave town or be killed off. Eventually Will will be paired with a more dynamic character. This is all out of the ATWT Nuke playbook. I share your frustration about Sonny not being given the opportunity to be dynamic. He was sort of when he first arrived in town. The only monkey wrench I see to my theory is the baby. I can't see Days having Will raise his son alone as a single parent so he and Gabi must share parental duties. I'm assuming Nick is gone before the end of this year. I wonder if Nick kills or critically injures Sonny in the future. Days certainly does not want Will or Gabi to be relatively happy for too long so sadly it makes plenty of sense for both Nick and Sonny to disappear in the future. This is all speculation.

If they're going to say that Nick was raped in prison, that is A) stupid and B) been done before. Based on my experience as a former prison employee, I'm going to add C) totally realistic to your list.

Today's episode had the passion and intensity I have been talking about. Though I wish it was longer and they had no clothes on, the bed scene was so romantic yet so passionate. The way Will looked at Sonny when he found out that Sonny has been in love with Will for a year was just a major IT moment. And the way the Sonny and Will were just so natural and at ease and were joking around but at the same time sparks were flying was incredible ;D. And the kiss at the end was majorly hot. I know Chandler gets a lot of hate from some fans but that kiss was all on him today. I think Will and Sonny need to be kissing like that on a more regular basis because to me it makes a huge difference. I just wish the show would let them kiss a bit longer so we can see both of them into it at the same time.ITA. TPTB cut what was probably the most romantic WilSon kiss to date way too soon. It was a wonderful scene otherwise. I too wish that the boys were both shirtless, but the extra clothing can be justified since it is winter besides that scene was acted on well that it just didn't matter who was wearing what.

OMG! Today I saw real natural chemistry between Will and Sonny! I was as if someone had turned a light switch on. Chandler and Freddie just seemed so much more comfortable with each other (finally) and the last scene on the bed was just TCFW. In fact, I liked that scene better than everything that has preceded it.
I'm still not a member of the WilSon fan club but more scenes like today's will definitely move me in that direction. Kudos to CM and BB for their stand-off scene. Great work on both their parts even though I didn't like the writers having Nick dodge the homophobia topic. The Brady/John fight was just horrible, violent and disrespectful even if John basically deserved it.
