And I guess the writers will work a way out to show the reason behind Nick's homophobia using Jensen and Vargas. Maybe Nick saw Jensen engaging sexually with another prisoner and eventually Nick snitched on him or something of that sort. In a real life U.S. prison, the administration would not give a darn about consensual sex unless they had specific knowledge that the partcipants were not using condoms.

Sonny delivering the baby is a HUGE thing. It highlights him finally as integral to a story. This action is going bond Sonny and Gabi very tightly regardless of any future animosity between them. I couldn't see that happening with the old regime. It seemed like Freddie was on the verge of being fired around this time last year.

FYI-Freddie's project Addicts Anonymous has surpassed its goal of $31,590. There's still 14 days left, so you can still contribute. The more he gets the better his project will be. Good news. They should set the bar higher to like $55K maybe. It doesn't matter if they don't make that though. Anybody from here donate? I'd like to but I live in NJ where you have to make $100k per year just to live comfortably.

Thanks, meaghan for eloquently pointing out why it's important to have WilSon onair regardless of the inequality in story for them. I think I let my frustration with the show affect rational thinking. I too believe that Days and WilSon are opening minds and heart and maybe even influencing votes for equality. It's 2013, and i'm a little tired of shows that want the promo of a gay storyline but don't have the guts to develop a story (and that happens even on cable channels, we have the recent disaster of Da Vinci's demons on what happened on screen has nothing to do with what the show told in the promos in the gay department) The truth is people are a little tired of token characters, producers and writers complain about minorities (we are not the only ones who complain about this) are never satisfied, but that's because they are underrepresented and generally that characters are only teasers to attract new viewers without a full commitment to the storyline. People won't stop watching a show because it has no gay characters if they like the show. But people usually get tired of being fooled, so having gay characters can be contraproductive if you don't want to write a proper gay storyline (and we have the Y&R example, that backfired hard, and i doubt the show try a gay storyline again if they are not fully convinced that they want to tell that) Days was not shy with Wilson affection, so that plays in their favour, but the rest of their storyline if full of gaps, so ending the affection between them could make people lose interest in the show. This sums up exactly how I feel. I think both Hollywood and the cable industry are still very afraid of addressing gay male sexuality head on. A not so recent example of this is the previously mentioned Y&R. It seems whenever a story involving sex gets ahead of public acceptance, there is an immediate overreaction by producers to change course instead of allowing the story to progress as the writers originally intended. The money men (advertisers) always get their way. Strangely, we don't see overtly violent stories getting the same treatment. If Y&R's Adam and Rafe had been written as a sweet romance instead of sexual manipulation there probably would have not any real backlash. However, the manipulation story was far more fresh, interesting and appropriate for a sinister character like Adam than the saccharin treatment . Talk of potential gay romantic storylines are then not fully following through just to get ratings is highly disingenuous. When Days announced that they were bringing on an openly gay character and possibly pairing him with either Chad or Will, the story was covered nationwide. People like myself tuned in to Days for the very first time hoping to see Days succeed where OLTL and Y&R failed and surpass ATWT. Little did we know that it would nearly two years before anything resembling a gay romance would materialize. Just like jjose712, I do think that we are being used by Days just for ratings. I fully believe that Days would have been cancelled by now had it not been for the new wave of attention and viewers that WilSon has brought to the show.

This kind of statement sincerely bothers me. Others have said something to the same effect. Differing opinions do not mean others are 'settling'. Some people are genuinely happy with the Will and Sonny story they see on their screens. It doesn't mean they have resigned themselves to something sub-par. I agree, but there are people here who have admit that they are settling because they are afraid of "upsetting the applecart". For record, I never said or implied that rick532 and rafequi are settling. I said that I disagreed with them saying WilSon or any other soap couple for that matter should have minimal bedroom scenes. This has nothing to do with whether it is sub-par or not, either. It probably is. But I don't really care anymore about that argument, to be honest because if I felt something was sincerely wrong I'd be writing letters to the show and encouraging others to do so rather than telling it to people on a fan forum who already know the score. Oh I know I definitely should write in, but I always feel like my one letter will not matter plus I lack the time and experience to mount a fan campaign like those guys back in the Nuke days. It's so much easier to come here and vent since I know there are 2 or 3 like-minded individuals around. Personally, I'd rather there was no gay couple on Days compared to what we are getting now. If you're not going to go all the way in then why bother? I mainly watch the show these days just to see Chandler, Freddie, Blake and Casey act. The writing is about 85% crap to me. My problem is back-handedly insulting other people. Whether you meant to or not, what you wrote does do that. I was not raised improperly, in my opinion. But I am not nearly as upset about the show as some others, including yourself, are. I have zero control over how someone chooses to interpret my words. That whole paragraph was about me and only me which why I separated it from the show talk. Frankly, I think that a few folks here are far too sensitive or take things said to the extreme always. When I hear people talk about how negative these boards are, I just . Yeah, there are some here who like to "double-down" on their opinion and that can sometimes come across as bullying, but I can see that is not their true intention. I would say that this board in one of the most positive soap boards in comparison to the others that I frequent. Is it perfect, well that would depend on your definition, but I will say no, but its not terrible. So to that degree I wouldn't consider it settling either. Days is trying to walk a fine line in order to succeed where others have failed and I think they should get credit for that. See here's the thing. I totally agree that credit was deserved and so did the awards shows and the media. My problem is that Days is not going further i.e. pushing the limits. Lately, I felt like the show is regressing with WilSon in a way and slowly progressing in another. I really wish they would to go "balls to the wall" and start fully exploring Will and Sonny's sexuality. Any fallout could be dealt with on a case by case basis. I see what we are watching today as a slap in the face those brave conservative leaders around this country who are voicing their opinion in favor of and voting for SSM. They are knowingly taking huge risks in order to do the right thing why can't Days at least try the same?

I will just say and it's me personally they can show everybody else in bed all the time if they want but really it's overkill. If i get 1 bedroom scene every six months i'm alright with that because i enjoy the talks and the little playful things they do more because it shows me more that they are a strong couple. I may or may not enjoy what's coming up but i will give it a chance and not write it off. Agree with you , guess that is what makes us love them I do not agree with either of you. I'm so tired of the show blatantly discriminating against WilSon. There is no reason why in 2013 Will and Sonny's kisses have to constantly truncated and them all but banned from sex scenes. This a soap opera. Where is the romance? The guys are cute together, but how about sexy? Nope. They aren't allowed to be. Heck, we've never even seen a WilSon date. Usually, when a couple is show having sex on DOOL the scenes are also used to advance the plot. WilSon already seems stale to me because their relationship is not dynamic. It just sits there underneath whatever else is going on. That would fine it was real life, but on a soap, I want to see some romantic drama. Also, these are the same writers that used to get us plently half-naked Will, Chad and T. Now, that Will is with Sonny you could count the shirtlessness on less than 2 hands with none recent. It wasn't that way when he was with Gabi. I know that I said I would try to stay positive (and I've been good for almost a month now) but, it's just not within my personality to settle for less. I wasn't raised that way.

I haven't seen the show yet, but Sami should have called Nick's bluff and demanded that he restore Will's parental rights before she handed the money back. The police don't have the evidence anymore and Nick knows that if he does anything to hurt Will, Gabi will leave him. Maybe, Sami doesn't know this.

I guess she can use the money as additional leverage though. I'll give you the money, you give back my son's rights. I was thinking why didn't Sami make that deal when Nick told her he's desperate? I guess they want to make sure there is some consequences for Sami but who in their right mind would not take advantage of that opportunity.

I'm really glad that Freddie is getting some Emmy love along with the obvious Chandler, but what about Blake? He's doing an excellent job of playing an unhinged individual.

Wow, I must say I have been loving this show show as of late. And that includes Will and Sonny. First, I have to recognize Sonny on his own. He is so much fun to watch right now! I actually feel like Sonny is a main character now . Somebody is finally writing him with so much more purpose. Even know the baby is Will's the story is just as much about Sonny as it is Will (if not more about Sonny right now). I loved every minute of Sonny working with not only Sami but his own mom to steal the evidence from Nick. Sonny is in the center of everything happening. The scenes between Sonny and Nick were all kinds of awesome. Blake and Freddie work really well together. I was going to post the thing. I loved how dynamic Sonny was yesterday. It's like he's Will's equal now and not his arm piece. I hope it stays this way. I adored everything WilSon and Freddie is looking hotter than ever. I wish every episode could be of this quality or better.

Freddie's reaction to me was more polite. He had just gone on about him and Chandler and guy brings up Brant. He acknowledged what the guy said, but that was it. I think he wasn't sure how to react. He said that Sonny and Will are solid and I'm going to take it at that. Possible, but I think Brian might pop up again in some capacity because Freddie did not talk about working with him in the past tense. Or he could just be a "quick on his feet" thinker and really good at not giving away spoilers.

PS. Love how Freddie smiles and agrees with the interviewer of Brant Daugherty being so hot. Its amazing to see how comfortable he is with the character he is playing and all. Freddie's reaction gave me the impression that Brian is not out of the picture for good yet and he might a part of failed plot to break WilSon in the future.

I just wanted today's episode and let me first say a quick "Welcome Back" to the REAL Will Horton!
Hopefully, the weepy little mouse stays far, far away :-)
I really liked the Will-Brian dynamic today. I thought Will set just the right tone and message. Sonny OTOH, annoyed me. He was too mean to Brian. It would have been appropriate had we seen or heard about Brian constantly hitting on Sonny after WilSon reunited but just hearing about today and Sonny drawing such a hard line just didn't jive for me. Sonny came off so as unappreciative that a hot, well-educated guy was seriously in him. I get that he is already in a commit relationship, but no one in their right mind would have closed the door that tightly on Brian especially knowing how volatile Will can be. If I were Brian, I would have told Sonny to go to h-ll and don't come looking for me the next time Will breaks your heart.
The WilSon kisses was quite nice today. They actual seem in sync today as opposed to that last kiss. Why was there such a lack of chemistry the past three weeks? Was it a different director?
Now, I'm totally hoping that Brian and Will wind up having hate sex. That would really throw Sonny for a loop. Any Brill shippers out there? ;D

i agree you could tell that Chandler had lost his voice or was losing it during these scenes. i thought he sounded sexy too though. Between acting on Days and singing in the band, his vocal chords are getting quite a workout.

Did people not read my post this morning? You're not going to agree on Brian vs Will. There's no need to continue rehashing the same points over again trying in vain to convince people. Just let it go. I get your point, Zathras but it's going to be virtually impossible for us to avoid the Brian vs. Will thing this week because judging from the spoilers that's the only thing us Will and Sonny fans have to look forward to. Can we please get a reprieve until next week if everyone could promise to keep the conversation civil?

agree with you, i'm tired of will's hate, also i don't see anything interesting about brian, really he's sooooo boring You have seen enough of Brian already to determine that he's boring? You must have been watching a different show than I. I find Brian more interesting than WilSon combined because I like a guy that knows what he wants and doesn't take months (or in Sonny's case a year) to get it. Brian is just like me - straight forward and right to the point i.e. no "beating around the bush". That is something that I really appreciate in a person but I know it would not be entertaining enough for a daily soap which is probably why some people may find Brian off-putting. also any guy will be lucky to have will as boyfriend, he's gorgeous, he's hot, he's funny, he's kind, he's smart. Don't forget whiny, self-centered, overly dramatic, self-loathing, and dishonest. I could go on but I'll stop here. IMO, Will not boyfriend material yet. TPTB should to be shamed of themselves for throwing a character like Will in a heavy duty relationship in which he was and still is in no way prepared for. The show should have had Sonny in a stable relationship with someone else from the start and let Will's secret crush on Sonny be catalyst for his coming out. Later on after Will's dated around a bit they could then make Will go from best friend to interloper in Sonny's relationship.

Freddie said that he can't sing and doesn't play and instrument, so he won't be participating. Maybe he could dance. I can totally see WilSon channeling Fred Astaire.

I did too. I loved how Will was trying to be firm about Sonny not getting involved, but when Sonny said he was doing it because he loved him, Will smiled and had no choice but to give in and when Sonny began to pull away, he pulled him back in. I know that the s/l isn't perfect, but it truly amazes me that people want to pick apart and critcize what we get. I think that Freddie/Chandler are doing a great job. If you want the complain about the s/l, that's fine, but why we want to complain about the actors is beyond me. If it's so hard to watch then you shouldn't. They are doing a good job with what they are given and I think we should support them for that and stop trying to throw stones at them. I'm done. Well let me start now. I am very appreciative and proud of what DOOL, Freddie, Chandler and et al have done accomplished so far. That said, I will not hold the show to a lower standard just to keep Will and Sonny on air. I believe anyone who devotes their time to the show and the show's advertisers has the right to be critical of what they are viewing. I saw unconvincing acting in a scene, I posted about it and some people agreed with me others did not. What's the big deal? One thing that I have noticed about this forum is that there are basically two camps - the gay and the gay-adjacent. Me being in the former, I know what's like to be a 20-something y.o. gay male. I lived it. From my own personal experiences, I know right away when Days is trying to sell us something completely unrealistic regarding WilSon. What makes me angry is when someone from the other camp here tells me that I'm being too critical when what they have posted shows me that they have no real idea of what daily life is really like for a gay person. All they know is what they see on the screen or information their gay male friends choose to share with them. And yet, they want to manipulate others into believing that they they are more knowledgeable of gay life than gay people themselves. Let me give you a clue, it's a lot more complex than anything portrayed on on network television so far.

Because it hasn't been said today... CM = bad kisser.
Most of the time, I'm like "Oh hot!" when WilSon kisses but today it was more like "Ewww!" TPTB should have Brant and Freddie give Chandler some pointers about how to kiss (a dude) passionately.

Just watching today's show, yes Chad & Abi great & funny, these 2 have such great chemistry love them, Cameron no way near, sorry. I thought yesterday was the actor that plays Cameron best acting to date. I had always thought as him as physically attractive but I didn't think of him as hot until now. I agree Chad's and Abby's reactions were LOL funny. Cameron should have invited Chad up on stage to show the ladies what he's got. Not being part of the gay & baby stories is really hurting CD since WilSon/Nabi has been frontburner for the young adult set since the last hw change last fall. I really think Days got it wrong by not going with Chill. Everything was in place already for it. Freddie could have been brought on as a different character. I do think that a serious (i.e. not Brian) WilSon interloper will arrive sometime in the near future. It might even be a gay DiMera (could Chad have a twin?). This show is not going to leave Will and Sonny in happy la la babysitting land for more a year. They are too young for that. I'm late with this but regarding the Sonny/Nick fight: I liked when Sonny decked Nick but then it got kind of like Krystal and Alexis from Dynasty fighting. I too, like some others here was hoping the Sonny would jump on Nick again once he tried to leave.

Didn't someone at DAYS (Meng or Corday) say once in an interview that something happens in Nick's storyline that hasn't been seen in daytime before. I always thought that would be a prison rape scene. Now I think that maybe it is Nick saying the actual "f" word to Sonny. We can probably then rule out prison rape because that was done 2 years ago on GH although it wasn't graphic at all.

The 'problem' with that kind of scene for Will and Sonny is that Sami and EJ are incredibly sexy and have oodles of sizzling chemistry. Those scenes were hot because the actors have the heat to pull it off. I never thought the Rafe and Kate pairing would work but it does because the actors sizzle. Will and Sonny are cute together (I'll give them that much), not hot. I foud them much more believable and interesting when they were just friends. Even a shower scene didn't help in that department. The show may give then that kind of sex scene at some point, but sex scenes can be terribly awfully boring the there's no spark. Letting two attractive people make out is no promise of chemistry. See: Jennifer and Daniel. Do I want that kind of scene for them? Of course because we need to keep striving and moving forward. But that's really the only reason. For what it's worth, I don't think the show should break them up or give them new partners (even though they put them back together way too soon and didn't play the Brian angle for what they should have) because they're important to the show as a gay couple and that they are legacy characters on this show. But that won't stop me from wanting better writing for them, especially in terms of their interpersonal dynamics and their relationship, which has been a big flaw in the over all story. I agree with you, Anthony. No matter how cute or adorable I may find WilSon, I cannot ignore the lack of passion and natural chemistry between the two characters. Especially, when we have been already been exposed to electrifying gay couplings in the past. Like yourself, I cannot imagine a satisfying WilSon version of that Ejami sex scene. However, every gay pairing on QAF has matched or surpassed Ejami's intensity especially Brian and Justin. I was never fond of that coupling because Brian was such a douche but no one could deny that their chemistry was smokin' hot. I'm now starting to feel like LonePirate where I like that the show is being daring with WilSon and have basically said "Yes we will" to everything we here had previously said no they wouldn't dare do but it's all being wasted on a couple that is cute enough but kind of boring.

And finally, I think there is chemistry between Will and Sonny, it's all in the eye of the beholder I guess. I think chemistry is there too.... friendship chemistry not romantic. While, WilSon can do hot when called upon, it's gone as soon the scene is over. The natural chemistry is just not there (as I have said a dozen time already) yet. Ejami chemistry is so hot that it jumps off the screen at you. It's there whether they are fighting, having sex or not even speaking to each while sharing screen time. AS and JS are so comfortable with each other that very initmate sex scenes between them seem so natural and unrehearsed. It's almost like we're spying on a real life couple. WilSon bed scenes in comparison are cute, but awkward. The comfortability is not fully there yet and that in turn kills the passion for me. When Will and Sonny are in romantic situations, it's hard to tell whether Will's naivety is Will's or Chandler's. If it's Will's then IMO it should be gone or minimal by now given how long he's been in Sonny's orbit. I find myself wondering if Chandler could have handled this week's Ejami seduction scenes. I don't think he's had that kind of experience IRL to draw on. Of course, I could be wrong about this so who knows.

Warning, I'm kicking the dead dog again:
I don't have any interest in the Ejami vs. Lumi vs. Safe debate, but having seen all the hot Ejami sexual chemistry today just highlights why I find WilSon so lacking. Yes, they're cute, but all I see is two good friends together in bed during their romantic scenes. Where's the heat???
I don't actually blame Freddie and Chandler though. It's the director's/show's fault. Somebody needs to tell them that DOOL is a soap, not an after-school special. I watch the show to see sexy and hot. While both characters personify this individually, WilSon does not.
