If I'm remembering correctly Chad Duell was the original choice for Michael, but he wasn't available. Then, when he became available they dropped Drew like a hot potato. So, yeah, I think he gets the whole situation. This is the first that I have heard of the situation presented this way. What I recall is that they both tested for the role and Drew was chosen, but then TPTB wanted to send Michael to prison as a way to mature the character. There were also rumors of Drew acting unprofessional at the time but these were never substantiated. Thus,DG was fired and second choice Chad Duell was hired as nu-Michael. All I can say is this about Drew Garrett: If he is indeed nu-Will then expect Will's maturity level to drop significantly (like down to Sami's level). He played Michael so whiny that the GH writers actually had his onscreen uncle to tell him to "Stop acting like a little bitch!".

I'm sorry, wilson4life for passing judgement against you. Even though I have a different opinion on WilSon, I do respect yours and your right to state it.

Yeah, THEN he was fired.... which makes it even a bigger mistake. CM will be the ONLY Will I accept. He and FS have such chemistry it's like wow!!!If you really think that then you and I must be watching a different show. The main reason that I am okay with Chandler moving on despite the fact that I will miss his sometimes brillant performances, is that I am hoping TPTB will hire someone who can accurately project sexual chemistry with Freddie.

I don’t think it’s a spoiler picture. I think it's his reaction when he came out of Greg's Meng office, when Meng let him know, that have to leave immediately because a replacement had already been hired. It just looks like he's dressed after a work day. Besides, I haven't seen these doors before. LOL. So Meng is a professional photographer as well? EDIT: Given today's announcement, I'm pretty sure that Brant Daughtery is not the new Will Horton and we will not be seeing Brian again anytime soon. Too bad. I hope that Freddie can generate the same kind of heat that he did with Brant with nu-Will too.

What's this all about I wonder? Will has never been this riled up over Sami or Sonny. My guess is that Gabi/Nick takes AG away from Will/Sonny for some reason.

I disagree. The Sonny/Gabi scenes today were terrible and it had nothing to with the actors. They were choppy and lacked supposition. Its pretty obvious that the writers are not very fond of these characters. They could have taken this opportunity to deepen the bond between Sonny/Gabi (and build chemistry) without Will being needed as a bridge but instead it was all plot-driven and rushed.

Could it be that they were going to hire this guy as Ben but when Chandler announced he was leaving they decided to make him the new Will. God. I hope not. Andy Senita's audition was good but not in the CM range plus I think he's a lot taller than Freddy which really isn't an issue but the change would be rather jarring.

Despite Corday's lie, the plan was always to recast Will. We even saw the casting call (Country Boy) that went out two months ago that basically said "We are looking for a Chandler Massey clone". Chandler too knew all along that the show was looking to recast and probably let TPTB know of his desire to leave before his contract expired. He was just shocked that he didn't get advanced notice of when his last day would be. In light of the screen test posted today on DR, I now think "Country Boy" Ben is probably not Will but may be an interim love interest for Abigail while Chad is incapacitated in some way. Nu-Will might have come out of this casting call or the one for Derek (nu-Chad).

Now, as for Brent. I'm surprised that he could incite a reaction of annoyance and irritation, due to only being in two episodes. <snip> As for Will and Sonny not interacting with Jennifer: I think, due to the real life "Chik a Flik" situation of Missy Reaves and her feelings about gay marriage, the show has decided to not have those three characters interact. I don't have a problem with Brent. I just wish he was portrayed by a more dynamic actor but maybe his casting is suppose to correspond to Brent's lack of relevance. JJ and Theresa are a great example of two very talented younger actors. Their scenes are almost can't miss for me even if the story is so "been there, done that a million times over". Do you really think the writers would accommodate MR's bigotry? TPTB really need to fire her ass already.

I already can't stand Brent. The actor's delivery is kind of flat and boring to me plus he is not hot - cute maybe but not hot IMO. Obviously, Brant Daugherty must have been busy so TPTB created this wuss of a character. Speaking of Brant, may they should hire him as the new Will Horton. He did audition for the role before after all and plus he has excellent chemistry with Freddie (better than Chandler does IMO). If not the role of Will, maybe they could reveal that Brian is Chad's twin which would make him a gay DiMera. Also, why doesn't Will or Sonny ever have any direct scenes with their Aunt Jenn?

I can't get over just how darn witty Chandler is. Where's the squirmy, giggling, shy guy from the interview just before Will came out? Anyhow, this from his latest Q&A had me LOL: If I looked inside your refrigerator what would I find? CM: the inside of a refrigerator. Oh, Chandler...

Oh and since Sonny grew up in Texas, maybe this country boy is his ex. Or it could be his brother. I'd rather it be his ex though. It's probably neither.... The new guy couldn't be a Kirakis brother because Sonny is Justin and Adrienne's youngest. Just like you, I doubt he will be in WilSon's orbit. He'll probably be a buddy/rival for JJ.

I loved his humorous responses. This is the first that I can recall experiencing this side of him. He's usually pretty serious in interviews. Maybe Days should let Will, Lucas and Sonny do a comical scene soon.

Maybe he was partying out in NJ late night . More like NYC. NJ is not a place someone would typically go to "party" unless the party is in a shopping mall. I'm so giddy that Freddie is in my state right now. It's probably good that I don't know exactly where. ;D

...aaaand my suspension of disbelief is coming into play right about... now. Because of course Hope's phone works on the island when no one else's does. I thought she used a police radio. She asked one of officers that accompanied her to the island to leave it with her in the cabin. I was also feeling a vibe between Vargus and Hope which I FULLY support. I always thought that SD would have made a good Bo recast. He also has good chemistry with Nicole. Jeremy Helligar ran into Blake in Buenos Aires Poor Blake just cannot escape work. ;D I had a similar problem a few years back when I was vacationing in Brazil. I booked an all-day tour of Rio de Janeiro but I just could not relax and enjoy it because another person on the tour had on a jacket with my then company's logo plastered across the back. How annoying it was.

As usual I blame Days for that. I think Days is still scared the "mainstream" viewers will not like it if Will and Sonny are too intimate, that's why they are going so slow with it. But with Sonny and Brain they didn't care because they new Sonny and Brian were going nowhere. If Sonny and Brian were the main couple I don't think they would have been kissing like that. Just my opinion. I agree. Days is deliberately tempering WilSon's passion but I hope they kick things up a notch soon. I think they are playing things so safe that the double-standard is blatantly obvious.

I was hoping they wouldn't go the rape route but that is a given now. It just seems so typical and predictable, not to mention lazy writing to show that being raped is what causes a person to be homophobic. It may be typical and predictable, but it's also a subject that is rarely seen or mentioned on television yet it occurs frequently in our prisons and even our military. As I said before, I'm slightly disappointed in how the Nick/Jensen scenes went. I thought the show played it so subtle that the reveal did not have the impact that it should of had. I was hoping to see some prison flashbacks featuring Jensen. We have never seen submissive Nick before, so I found his behavior towards to Jensen to be kind of out of nowhere (however well acted). When GH did a male rape behind bars story a couple of year ago, they showed some non-graphic but still pretty disturbing flashback scenes. I guess Days could still do some of their own in a future episode though. TV and film as whole are still afraid to address gay male sexuality head on. Add forcible rape to that and you get something that resembles the PG-13 version that today's episode was.

I am a little disappointed that the director didn't have Jensen touch Nick inappropriately at times. IMO, that would have added to the story by giving Blake even more to feed off of.

Is anybody else laughing at the thought of Nick having more butt sex than Will has so far? ;D
I couldn't understand why was Will crying before Jensen even mentioning that Nick had been "servicing" him in prison - maybe it was pure adrenaline. If I were Will, I would have been LMAO internally when it became apparent that Nick had been getting cornholed against his will for 4 years. I normally would never glorify something so ugly but in Nick's case, it serves him right.
I've always thought that Blake was the strongest actor of the young adult set. Today just cemented this opinion. Bravo, BB! Kudos, to Freddie as well. I love that the show let him do some comedy. They usually use Chad or Tad for that.

He was under contract for 4 years, there was no way he could quit. He joined the show in 2009, so he was under contract from 2009-2013. At most, he could have asked the show to let him out of his contract, but they usually only do that for long-term vets, such as John Ingle (Mickey Horton), who asked to be let go so he could re-join General Hospital. Thanks for the clarification, Jason.

OMG. Will's a drug dealer!! Seriously though, I thought I heard that DP quit Days. Are you sure he was fired? BTW, The pic of Dylan on the SOD website with shorter hair is really nice.
