maciam: I saw your post in the general discussion thread about where to find spoilers/preview clips. This blog: robronspoilers.tumblr.com posts preview clips and spoilers. Generally the preview clips are uploaded to Tumblr for those who can't access the clips on ITV's website. Hope that helps for you

This show has 16 year old girls as their main target audience. Myself I'm following this show and have seen quite a few discussions about it. I love that the creators have remembered that representation is important. I think that compared to certain other Norwegian TV series, this show has done a great job on including a variety of topics. I hope they will film more scenes featuring Isak, he is a character who fascinates me, and he has a connection to several of the other characters. I think Eskild is a funny guy, he comes across as annoying at times but I like Eskild and Noora's bickering.

When you have an Amazon Account, you can buy worldwide, your Account is working on every country amazon site. American Accounts can buy in Europe, Europes can buy on Amazon.com, and mostly the price even with shipping costs is nicer than some underground shops. I didnt check the DVD, but mostly Amazon have everythink. Thanks for providing this information! I'll check it out.

IMDB has overviews of which characters that are featured in the upcoming episodes for this season. So, given that those overviews are correct, I think it's only an attempt on Taylor's part. (I haven't seen full episodes yet, but I searched some more yesterday, and found out that there's a TV channel in my country which aired the first season and will air the second season at some point.) Hawthorne, I agree with you about the pairing not coming across as romantic. And it's good to read your analysis! I read this article about how the crew have been working with angles and such things: blogs.indiewire.com/thompsononhollywood/how-john-ridley-and-company-create-the-emotional-resonance-of-american-crime-20160208. I thought it was nice to get a fuller understanding of the camera work that the crew does.

I wish I could buy the first season of this series on DVD in Europe, but my googling after it hasn't succeeded so far. I did find a Swedish site where I can pay for a subscription and watch a few episodes from this season, though. I'll try that one. I'm positively surprised to see that the creators of this series are exploring choking/breathplay.

I'm happy to see that Robert is talking out loud about his feelings. I look forward to seeing how Robert and Aaron's relationship will develop further. In a way I think Robert will need to make an effort to make Aaron believe in him and trust him.

atlanticslide: I think there are others on this board who have watched Emmerdale more thoroughly than I have, as I don't live in the UK and only follow Aaron's storyline online. I don't think that Aaron is one who has the false memory syndrome, but it could be hard to prove what really happened if there are no one except the perpetrator and yourself who witnessed the rape/abuse. If you have no way to secure traces or tell someone about what happened, the symptoms of something latent is what others will have to explore. And I am not a psychologist but I do read a lot about topics like these in order to educate myself.

As for the false memory syndrome it's a real term, and sometimes it's used to explain why, in court cases, the explanations that some witnesses give, don't seem true. Aaron would need for someone other than Gordon to talk about how he behaved differently before/after having spent time with Gordon in his past. For example if Aaron started crying before visiting his father when he was a child, that would be a sign of something being wrong.
In the recent scenes (the episode of January 25th), there is one time that Aaron says Gordon is a liar, and Gordon raises his voice, and Aaron takes a small step backwards. That's another sign that points to Aaron having experienced something traumatic and to Gordon's temper. I hope I don't sound too harsh - I just want to point out that the creators of the show have been doing an effort in doing their research when they let the storyline play out like this.

Gordon is very manipulative. I think Aaron's behaviour is consistent with how a victim of sexual abuse or violence would behave. That is what should be Robert's biggest clue, in my opinion. That being said, I for one would like to see more of Robert's reactions to Aaron's revelation. As overtherainbow writes, when someone says they were abused, you don't doubt them. Still there is a range of reactions to Aaron's revelation, from acceptance to pity to denial, that the producers and writers could explore. Myself I think I wouldn't mind seeing an exploration of how Robert analyses his own initial reactions following Aaron's reveal.

I liked that the interaction between the two boys felt, to me, pretty intimate and realistic. I also liked that they were able to convey the longing that comes with being in love. Although I had wished the creators would have come up with a storyline that was less about being closeted and more about other aspects, like feeling insecure about intimacy or not knowing what the boundaries are, I thought it was fairly natural to focus on the experience of coming out.

The scriptwriter Adi Hasak who will work with the re-make is quoted on having said to nrk.no (who published the Norwegian article linked above) that he was very inspired by the way director Jarl Emsell Larsen executed two bigger plots and that two gay teenage boys have as central roles as they have in this series. So I would think that the quote indicates that they're positive to the gay storyline.

I don't post here often but I thought yesterday's scenes with Aaron and Robert were realistic, given that victims of rape and sexual abuse tend to feel ashamed and it isn't unusual that it takes a long time before one dares to tell the truth to someone. As for not telling Chas about what happened, it could be due to a sense of loyalty. The scenes were beautifully done, myself I particularly liked how Robert was trying to reach through to Aaron and connect with him even after having heard what Aaron told him. I hope the future storylines explore Aaron's issues further, maybe particularly when it comes to how to overcome his destructive patterns. I hope they also explore how it's like when Aaron allows himself to be happy and feel that he's worth it.

I love Joscha and Kai together. They seem so comfortable with each other. The storyline is very good right now.

To me there is something very tender about the way Joscha and Kai interact. Makes my heart ache.
ETA: Thank you so much for subtitling and uploading, Mimi! Myself I can read German pretty well but there is no way I'd be able to understand spoken German without (German or English) subtitles.

I loved watching the last clip. The actor who plays Kai made me feel like he's a real doctor, I felt a connection. Looking forward to the continuation of Kai and Joscha's story!

it's an interesting week at Hotel Cæsar this week. I like how Måne's storyline has been this far. he's a bit reticent or at least he's quiet. still, when there are things that really matters he seems to pick up on clues and speak his mind.

I'm just stopping by to share part 35 of Måne's storyline on the forum - it was uploaded today: courtesy of HCMoon01 personally I'm really looking forward to following this storyline. I have such a soft spot for Måne.

thanks a lot for posting that picture, HQ75. they look lovely together!
I really liked that small part from this week. one thing that I've always liked about Chris is that he's a very relaxed guy (in the sense that he's down to earth). I'm curious about what happens next for Chris and Aidan, I hope that the actors manage to find something within their characters that will make the on-screen chemistry to come through a little more.

I like how Aidan came over to Chris listening in on what he said. that is a nice way to set it up. plus, as harmonium writes above, Chris is kind of adorable when nervous.

Kal acts on instinct each and every time. I think, if they are going to get back together, Tariq will need time to heal and to distance himself from what happened. but that's only my point of view.
also, Kal's line in which he says "build a life" makes me think of Brokeback Mountain, only their roles aren't exactly the same as those of the boys in the film.

thanks a lot for continuing to upload, tubedout! I think this part is beautiful, especially when Tariq and Kal make love. there is this shift in the tempo of their interaction, it seems Tariq is feeling the need to initiate. also, their relationship is developing quickly on screen but somehow I feel like it fits them.

I have been fast-forwarding through the parts this week, simply because when I see how Chris struggles with having another guy being interested in him it reminds me of my own struggles. somehow I'm painfully aware of what it is like to be in Chris' position. I'm curious about what happens next.
and HQ75 - your comments are always so funny and lovely and inspiring. thank you!

it's interesting how Aidan is continuously more at ease, while Chris has his emotional ups and downs. I guess that combination will help make a balanced (maybe that's the way to put it? I don't know but I definitely recognize the dynamic of these two moods) relationship between the two of them.

these two guys look quite handsome together. I don't know much about their backgrounds but I watched that first part twice in a row, it was so fascinating that I wanted to pay attention to how they interact. thank you for starting this thread!
