Didn't they just pass gay marrige there in Spain. I really thought they were different then the US soaps. I thought they were more like the German soaps. I liked the storyline but I miss there initmate moments as well. The show is from Argentina, not Spain. But yes, both countries now have marriage equality, though I'm not sure if Spain grants adoption rights to gay couples as well.

Recap for episode 137, aired on August 12.247. Lalo breaks my heart Lalo: "My life loses meaning if I don't play football. I'm left with nothing." Flaco: "It's not certain yet... Let's wait and see.." Lalo: "This can't be happening to me."
This scene is just utter despair. I'm sorry but I can't bring myself to fully recap it
Mercedes seems pretty sure that Tato is involved in both Flaco's doping and the assault on Lalo. Lily is suspicious as well.
248. Anguila never forgets his good friend duties. He went to the hospital to be there for Flaco. He looked horrified at what happened to Lalo but he told Flaco: "You know I'm here because of you, right?
Neither does Chiqui, cause he went as well. Flaco took the opportunity to tell him that he's sure both his doping and the assault were Tato's doing.
249. Flaco never learns. Man, just let Lily burn Chiqui mentioned that Lily should be careful (because she's the one on Tato's hate list still unharmed) and Flaco looked sad and said she doesn't listen to him. Then Chiqui offered to talk sense into Lily (good luck with that! ) and Flaco accepted, grateful, and asking him to make sure nothing bad happened to her [My personal wish? Please let something bad happen to her.]
So Chiqui tried to warn Lily about Tato and Lily of course blew him off, while being super annoying and smug and self-righteous... You know, the usual stuff.
250. Uneasy Anguila = adorable Anguila actually went in to visit Lalo in his room, and started fidgeting and stammering like usual when Flaco left to get coffee Lalo totally misread him though and got defensive: "You came to laugh at me?"
Laura found out a fingerprint test had been withheld from the police by order of a higher officer. So she got them redone and the prints on old-Giselle's belt were Marga's. So I guess that's finally proven? We'll see. They usually continue the last scene in a way that erases the catch and goes in another direction
Super short recap, I know, but I did watch the whole thing. It's just that nothing much of importance happened

Updated the recap for episode 136. Now onto 137... 138 seems even more depressing, so yeah, I'm not excited.

Recap for episode 136, aired on August 11.Status: There are a few missing minutes in the beginning of the episode I couldn't find anywhere Let's call this episode "Lessons on how to depress your viewers", shall we? And remember, you need very expressive actors for this to work. Lesson 237. Get a talented young man with hopes for a great future to lie all bloody and broken on the floor and call his boyfriend, sobbing, saying "Flaco, I'm at the garage. Please come" as he cries for his crushed dreams. Lesson 238. Add his crying boyfriend rushing to that horrible view and yelling for help on his phone. Lesson 239. Oh you're not sad yet? Then watch as Flaco sees his boyfriend being rolled into a hospital room and then is left alone and absolutely crushed outside. Lesson 240. Add a scene where Flaco breaks down while telling Mercedes what happened and then top it off by getting a doctor to come up with bad news. "Lo encontré hecho mierda, Mercedes. Doctor: "We're gonna operate. He has multiple fractures... his right leg is very injured. We'll see." 241. Show the guy who broke Lalo's legs (and the rest of his body, and his spirit) celebrating it and being all smug about it 242. When it comes to his own business, Chiqui is so just so slow at connecting the dots. Now he knows Nino has his father's briefcase - the one he himself saw his father carry before he got in his car and later died. He knows it wasn't an accident because the police had changed his father's cause of death to murder a while ago. He knows Nino couldn't have done it because he wasn't in the picture back then. But Chiqui still has a hard time coming to the conclusion that Tato was involved in his father's death Lesson 243. Then pick at the wounds by shooting a scene that only serves to remind everyone that anyone can consent to someone's surgery but their gay boyfriend. To that effect, irrationally make said boyfriend sound clueless about the fact that he can't be held responsible and give consent for his partner, even though we all know Flaco would have known that. And make sure the patient's employer signs the consent, to add more effect. Laura, while searching Chiqui's flat (where Nino had spent the night), found a cell phone that she immediately connected to the one they've been searching for old-Giselle's murder case Anyway, it's Marga's old phone, as we've known for ages, and it had been also what told Nino she had killed Giselle. Flaco asked Mercedes if she had reached Lalo's mother and she said she couldn't find her. Then he asked her if she had told people at Cristal [she did], because nobody had come visit Lalo The doctor showed up and said the surgery went well but that he had something to discuss with them. Lesson 244. Why try to be subtle? You want them depressed? Just go for the basic frontal approach: show them holding hands while one is all screwed in a hospital bed, while sad music plays. 245. People on the show are just blind. That's the only explanation as to why no one sees Tato is lying when he does is so badly. Mercedes called Chiqui to let him know about Lalo. That was in front of Tato, and yep, no poker face at all. Chiqui seems to have called it this time, but who knows? Lesson 246. Leave the hugest blow to the end, of course. Sad music and the dialogue of doom, so that everyone can feel the weight of shattered dreams and future: Lalo: Tell me the truth. I know how they hit me. I heard how the bones were shattered. What Mercedes is doing here? There's something you're not telling me." Add heartbreaking tears and the saddest voice tone from the patient and Flaco trying to avoid his eyes and the truth. Flaco: "No no, there's nothing, Lalo. The doctors aren't sure about anything yet. [...babbles...]" Lalo: "Flaco, don't lie to me. What did the doctor say?" Flaco: "They shattered the bones in your right leg. [Flaco breaks down] I don't believe you're gonna be able to play again." Then focus on Lalo's face for full effect. And there you have it. Depressing at its peak. Enjoy it. PS: Marga told Chiqui that she saw Nino use that briefcase to threaten Tato. The police found out that that cell phone was Marga's, linking her, finally, to Giselle's murder.

There is no redeeming side to this turn of events, none whatsoever. I hope in a few weeks time I’ll be eating my words and praising the show for its ingenious turnaround of a crushingly depressing situation, but that seems even less likely than aforementioned medical miracle. ^^I second that, completely. Oh, and welcome to the board! It makes it a little better that some people agree with me about what happened, cause really, reading some people commenting they were glad that this cleared the way for the boys to be together was even more depressing than the actual thing. Though I haven't watched last night's episode yet so... yeah dalphine Thank you

As you say, Chrys, it just seems too high a price to pay- part of me thinks it would have been better to kill Lalo, because they just killed him anyway. I have no idea how they're going to come back from this, and no idea how I'm going to get the image of Lalo's hopeless face with tears silently rolling down out of my head today ^^This, exactly. I could just repeat what you said because it's exactly it.

Recap for episode 135, aired on August 10.This is the episode of doom. My last wish was that Tuesday never arrived so that I didn't have to watch it, but alas, it did and here I am Let's see... (and yes, I did write this one on the go, as I watched) Marga was saved from Nino by the arrival of Ethel and two guys who were carrying stuff in and out. 229. Flaco + Anguila happy and joking around = awesome And they pointed out the best thing about the final: the fact that each of the three friends (them and Chiqui) scored a goal And Flaco even joked "See, this is how I started with Lalo and look where it got us" and patted Anguila in the ass and Anguila totally went with it See, insecure teammates? That's how it's done. Chiqui, of course, worsened his injury during the match and the sketchy doctor told him he's gonna need to be operated on and won't play for around 6 months. But at the moment Chiqui doesn't give a shit because he's super happy they won lol. The whole team plus staff had a party to celebrate and the boys were adorable when Flaco raised his glass and tipped his head at Lalo and Lalito got all giddy 230. Cristal's players are huge gossipers, though a bit blind, which is a huge handicap but oh well. Mercedes got a call telling her Flaco's doping test was positive and she told I'm-so-bad-at-faking-I'm-clueless Tato about it. Max overheard them and immediately told another player and then they both immediately went to tell Lalo lol. Yes, of all people, Lalo. And then Max told Anguila, who then told Chiqui. Guys, guys, just stop the party and say it on a microphone, please? Super Chiqui again was a super friend and dismissed the whole thing from the start. And then Lalo, looking super intense, went over to Flaco and told him. Flaco then turned around to look at Chiqui and Anguila, and I really loved how the whole thing was played involving the four of them. 231. Super Chiqui kept on being awesome and defending Flaco, telling Cristal's managers that he would put his hand in the fire, and even throw himself headfirst in it for Flaco's innocence And he kept saying something very weird must be going on. Time to put your investigative skills in use again, honey, please. 232. We finally got quick-thinking Flaco again. Flaco immediately caught on and got angry, telling Lalo that Tato set him up. 233. Bipolar Flaco is all the rage again: from angry to calm to miserable in a minute. Flaco and Lalo again in Flaco's very bright room. Restless Flaco [fastening his belt lol]: Tato's hand is in this. He set me up. They're gonna suspend me and I'm gonna have to kill that guy. [Nice attitude there. Wish you had thought of it sooner though.] Lalo kept trying to calm him down but of course that doesn't work on my beloved angry Flaco. He got an "I'm sorry" for the yelling anyway. Then Flaco got a call from his lawyer telling him that his B-sample was also positive. Lalo told him that someone must have drugged him and that he should try to remember it but Flaco told him that it's done: he's gonna miss an year and that's gonna be the end of his career Anguila is adorable. To Mercedes: "I was thinking of getting transferred to Eastern Europe [...]. They say people there are very warm. [...] Because here, here the polar wave is killing me." Then he went on this crazy reverie that showed that he watched way too many movies But in the real world, [lovely-looking] Lalo came in and interrupted them. [He later got her to kiss him though.] One of the women who work at that magazine told Laura she gave a copy to Marga and Ethel the day Mirta died. 234. It's really cruel we got sweet, reasonable Lalo just before what we knew was going to happen. So Lalo told Mercedes he was close to getting free from Tato and that, since Cristal doesn't want him, he's gonna start testing for other teams. He looked so young when he added he wouldn't be screwing up the way he did at Cristal. He thanked her for her good wishes and said: "I hope someday I can come back to the club and give back all you gave me." Sweet thing Chiqui, again on crutches he doesn't know how to handle, went to his flat to get some medical boots and Nino was there, because he stayed there overnight, waiting for his escape car. Chiqui broke a vase or something on his head and then called Laura. Later Nino woke back up, hit Chiqui and then escaped when he heard the police sirens. He left behind a duffel bag that Chiqui found and that contained his [Chiqui's] father's old briefcase - if you don't remember, Nino had it so he could blackmail Tato because Tato was the one who killed Chiqui's father. 235. This is a lesson on how a show can fuck up: Lalo getting out of his car in an underground garage + Mostaza and one of his mates + beating + hammer at Lalo's leg = fail. 236. Show se fue a la mierda. I doubt anyone was surprised by what we saw happen to the boys on this episode, since it was talked about/shown on previous episodes. Even though I knew both the doping and the beating would happen, it didn't diminish my disgust. It's very cruel to undermine Flaco's victory [both his goal and the championship] after so much shit by getting him suspended for doping, which for him means the end of his career. But yet, maybe I could accept that as a plot device, given that he was so close to retiring anyway... What I can't accept is what they've done to Lalo. Getting hit like that means the end of his dream and there's simply something that's far too huge. I can't accept that, much less in the conditions it happened, because of a revenge from Tato, and even less because in a world where we have absolutely no out gay or bi football players, getting visibility for such a fictional character and then getting him literally crushed away from football is just too brutal of a message. I know it's just a soap, of course, but I could imagine all the young queer people who dream of playing football and are already so scared that it's impossible for them watching that scene. Nothing can make up for that. Not the boys ending up together or anything like that. Because the message is that the only way gay or bi guys can be happy is away from football (and other traditionally homophobic occupations), playing house or whatever, and that's indeed such a sad ending that I wish they never had had the idea of showing gay footballers in the first place.

masonville I don't think so. I've never heard of a team losing its title because of a doped player. The player is suspended or banned, but nothing usually happens to the team. Unless it's proven they doped the player, of course. And no, the other players aren't tested because of one testing positive. Sometimes they do make more tests after a positive case, but it would apply to future matches and competitions. About the doping scheme in Cristal, I think I should have made clearer that that was in motion early in the show. It was discontinued, and Flaco's doping by the coach was an isolated move. Flaco can of course defend himself by saying he was doped by someone and proving it. flippav2 You're welcome, and yes, I'm better, just busy and tired. Thanks for asking No mention of Vanina that we know of, but Lalo has already been caught and jailed for that, remember? He is out on conditional freedom and no, we haven't heard more of the progress of his case.

Recap for episode 134, aired on August 05.Status: Done. Nino escaped through the window. 225. Remember all the times I've said Riganti is cool? Well, you should. Because Torres was telling Arregui and her about his talk with the boys and he was again making comments about their sexuality and Riganti scolded him: "You should avoid this kind of absurd and regressive comments, which on top of it pertain to your own personal opinions" and, when he tried to defend himself: "I don't care about what you were referring to. I'd rather know what they said than what you think about their sexuality." And she just kept telling him off ;D Go Riganti And later she scolded the shit out of the police squad for letting Nino escape Oh and the final match is also without any audience. 226. My dear Román is the show's Deus Ex Machina, for he tells the whole story to the police and solves (almost) everything Laura and Torres found my dear Román's house (deciphering his tattoo), opened the door with the key he had given her and found the box with the letter, proofs and the money for his daughter. In his letter, he told about all the schemes of Nino and Tato, including the one that gave start to this show, the murdering of Cappa because he found out about the doping scheme. In case you didn't watch it or forget, early on the show Tato and Nino were giving the players a new performance-enhancing drug. Oh and he also explained how Tato and Nino planned Nino's fake death. Laura: "Román's letter and files handed us Tato and Nino on a plate." - Thank goodness, huh? Cause your police department would never have managed that by themselves And at least I got to rewatch my dear Román and hear him in voiceover On Tato's orders, the coach gave Flaco a bottle with some kind of doping substance in it, before the match I knew I should have learned that cop's name. The one who's after Malena. Cause he was voice of reason saying it doesn't make any sense that Lily worked with Lalo in a plot to kill Mirta. The Match: Cristal x Atlético: 0-1 -> 1-1 [goal by Anguila, who finally got to show off his undershirt with Mercedes' face printed on it] -> penalty against Cristal -> 1-2 -> less than 5 min to the end, Chiqui goes in and makes a pass to Flaco, who scored 2-2 -> last minute direct free kick and Chiqui scored 3-2 and champions 227. Show finally did something good by us: they not only made Flaco score the goal of the tie, but they also made him get shirtless and engage in euphoric hugging and celebrating with his teammates. You know, that awesome football tradition we all love ;D And not only that, but after Chiqui scored, we got manpile And after the match ended and they were champions, moooore hugging and joy. Have you noticed Flaco was the only one shirtless?! Not that I'm complaining 228. But show had to ruin it for us. So even so we got to see super happy Flaco leave the field shirtless, we were left with the bitter knowledge that he was being led to do doping tests and of course be caught and go back into utter misery Show, you suck Nino went to Marga and Chiqui's flat to find her old cell phone, the one that clued him in to the fact she killed old-Giselle. Marga then showed up there. Tonight's question: - Will show manage to get back on track somehow? Tonight's wish: - May Tuesday not come?! Because it's pretty obvious it's gonna be an awful day for both of the boys

Recap for episode 133, aired on August 04.Status: Done. Show is being really boring and at some points just plain bad Tato made a really painful to watch attempt at lying that he didn't know Nino was alive and then that it was all a ploy between my dear Román and Nino. Also about people who can't pretend: the girl at the airport counter saw and recognized Nino in the line and her eyes went wide and Nino noticed it an left, in a very unsubtle way: knocking guards down, running, stealing cabs, etc. Torres got a call from the morgue and then called Laura to tell her that Román had been killed Laura's reaction: a sigh of sadness and "How could he be so stupid? It's obvious Nino wouldn't leave loose ends." We all know that, honey, even Román did, but the writers needed him dead so they wrote him as stupid enough to hope for something else Torres defended my dear Román's honor by saying he was very clever and probably had something planned but Nino anticipated his move. Anyway, Laura copied the number he had tattooed and remembered he had told her about it. The final will finally happen Flaco told Lalo he needs to take this chance to play well so that the club will beg for him to stay. 222. There are times when I'm very happy for Marga's being on the show. One of those is when Lily told her she had sex with Tato *pukes* Marga's facial expression and utter disbelief was priceless And then she kept yelling at Lily and saying she was an idiot And then she tried to explain to her, very slowly, like she was a child, why it was such a bad idea Of course Lily ignored her warnings with that stupid superior smile of hers. And they buried Salgado. And if you think I watched that scene, you're the one with a fever ;D 223. Show has *huge* continuity problems Chiqui went back to training, to everyone's happiness, including Lalito's. Then Flaco and Chiqui made some small talk and then Flaco told Chiqui that there was someone who wanted to talk to him and that he'd like for him to listen. Of course he meant Lalo. Shy uneasy Lalo came over and told him he was glad he was out of jail and that his mom (oh wow they finally mentioned her again!!) sent him her regards. Chiqui: "Look, Lalo, the truth is I don't want to fake it anymore with you. [...] We don't have any ties, not of affection or friendship or companionship. It's all right, I wish you the best, but let's not push it. Let's treat each other with respect, all right, but nothing more. Okay?" Lalo nodded, with that kicked puppy expression. Back to the lesson: This talk would have made perfect sense during most of the show, but after Chiqui let Lalo in his flat after the injury and especially after he worried about him (and talked to him and watched him nearly cry) during evil-Giselle's plot, it seems very out of place. Tato told Mostaza he has two jobs for him. One of them is to find a car (for Nino's new escape attempt, now through Chile) and the other is to break Lalo's legs Mostaza suggested that they waited till after they play the final and Tato agreed. Nino had checked into a hotel and the guy at the reception called the police once he saw his face on TV with the promise of a reward for info. 224. And since the show is being such a fail, maybe we should actually worry about the trio of doom being Mirta's murderers Lily called Flaco to tell him about Laura's questions and Flaco seemed very worried. Later he was telling Lalo about it when Torres showed up to interrogate them about Mirta's death. The boys were very confrontational and kept looking and sounding guiltier by the minute Torres asked who was the last one to have talked to Mirta and both said 'me'. Then Flaco said it was first Lalo and then him. Torres asked if they knew she was thinking about suicide, and impulsive-Lalo said "Yes, obviously", earning a glare from Flaco. Lalo then stuttered and said they all knew she was desperate because of Tato. Torres pointed out that that was very different from having suicidal thoughts and the boys looked very guilty. The police squad went to the hotel and now there's a door between Laura + the squad and Nino with a loaded gun. Just one wish: - May Lalo stay unharmed

Recap for episode 132, aired on August 3rd.Warning: This episode is beyond boring. Proceed with caution. The boys who found my dear Román's body left the scene without calling the police. Yet, somehow, later we saw his body in a morgue, being examined. Oh my dear Román On better news, thanks show for replaying that awesome video from Salgado again. And twice. Desperate Laura called Arregui daddy for the first time. Tato gave Nino tickets for a ferry to Uruguay and for a plane to Zurich. Meanwhile, Riganti asked Chiqui to pretend he's gonna be released on conditional freedom, so that they don't alert Nino that they now know he's alive. Hmm, you want me to recap Lily and Tato's scenes? It goes like this: Oh no no I'm blind! They're kissing! Tato: blah blah blah smug smile Lily: blah blah blah wooden face/stupid smile. Oh wow please make me blind, please, they're making out! There you go. 220. Tato's lame plans of evil count with the help of his lame spies of evil. Lalo told Flaco, at the club, that it's the best moment for him to get away from Tato because he thinks Tato is not going to make a move to stop him now. The coach overheard them and told Tato - and yep, he's the lame spy. 221. Show was too cheap and lazy to shoot new scenes, so they just showed the entire Salgado-gets-loose-hits-Román-records-video sequence again Their excuse? The police was figuring it out now OH NO! Lily and Tato in bed! *skips ahead* The police found what must be Salgado's decomposing body. Just before Nino got to the airport counter, a police officer handed his file to the girl working on the counter (because the police put an alert for him on roads, airports and the like). And Riganti went to Tato's to arrest him for fraud and covering up for a murderer. As Riganti pointed out, Tato's reaction was priceless. Given the level of boredom in this episode, let's go to my wish: - May the next episode have at least something interesting going on

Recap for episode 131, aired on July 29.Let's see how I recap without my dear Román... This time Chiqui surprised Marga by actually getting happy that she's pregnant. In case you don't know about it, the last time he was a thousand miles away from thrilled cause he was about to leave her for Mía. Marga and Chiqui decided to keep the pregnancy as a secret, except from Ethel (Marga's mom). 217a. Riganti is great. Laura and Arregui tried to convince her that Lily killed Mirta and Riganti kept asking all the questions about all the loopholes we can all see in this plot Arregui: "Something doesn't make sense to you?" Riganti: "Nothing about it makes sense to me." Anyway, this is what they think that happened (seen in pseudo-flashbacks): Flaco tried to convince Mirta not to say anything because of the kids, but contrary to what he said, she said no. [And by the way, the Mirta they show on these mental reenactments does deserve that Flaco insults her memory the way he did on the previous episode.] Flaco found in the trash can the suicide letter Mirta had written and later thrown away. 218. Laura, you know I like you a lot, but really, the complete failure of your police department to solve any crimes must have gotten to you, because you're jumping your gun and making up unbelievable scenarios now Pseudo-flashbacks again: Flaco ran with the letter to Lalo and Lily - yes, the three of them together as a team. I know, unbelievable Anyway, they come to conclusion it's an opportunity for them to kill her and make everyone believe it was suicide. Lily is specially unbelievable on this scene, but with that actress, that's hardly a sign of anything. Update on the never-ending dance of the cell phone of truth: Torres, mad because Chiqui's lawyer paid back the money Chiqui owed to him with a check and not cash, put the check among Chiqui's belongings and got the cell phone for himself. Pseudo-flashbacks part 3: Laura heard the front door being opened and she believes it was Nino. Oh I was so right when I named them the trio of doom, because that's exactly how Flaco, Lalo and Lily look on this clip. Lalo distracted Mirta while Lily prepared the poisoned tea. Then Lily offered Mirta the tea, while saying she was going to divorce Flaco and was happy that Lalo would be exposed. Mirta died, Lalo put the suicide letter on the table, locked the kitchen door and left through the other door. And that's pretty much what didn't happen. Don't worry too much 217b. Riganti has to explain, again, that conjectures are not proof, and neither are the letter Mirta wrote about the boys or the magazine Lily must have left in the kitchen. Yes, I know, it's so funny she has to point out the obvious. She then told Laura to interrogate all three. Marga and Ethel can't bear Tato and Lily's making out any more than we do, so they interrupted it for us. Thank you two!! I was going blind. Mercedes had a fun night with Anguila at a casino and woke up in a bed with him. And we got to see her with her hair down Anguila told her they didn't have sex, but they had a lot of fun and she even promised to marry him, but Mercedes doesn't remember anything. Some boys found my dear Román's body Chiqui asked Laura to protect Marga. Then Laura yelled "Malena" to give her something and Chiqui remembered that the Saruman-looking hobo had told him the cell phone had a message for Malena. He told Laura about it and she started searching Torres and then finally got to watch that video Salgado recorded so long ago. 219. Show, I thank you for your attempt of making up to me. Salgado on the video: "Laura, my love, if I don't make it, you need to know that Nino Paredes is alive. He kidnapped me. [?] Tell Malena I love her with all my soul. And you, [then we see Nino on the background, pointing his gun at Salgado] Laura, you're my love. You've made me happy, you've changed my life. I love you. I love you." [gunshot!!] Yes, show! Thank you! I've been thinking he was dead for a while now, but this was actually priceless But this brings us to the questions... - Why did Nino keep Salgado alive anyway? Why keep him captive in the first place? No wishes. Still missing Román too much for that.

First, yes, I know, I'm way behind now Second, I'd like to say I'm sorry to those who only care about what happens on the scenes where the boys appear, but I'm going to recap last night's full episode first. That means I probably won't get to tonight's episode tonight. Sorry but c'est la vie.

dalphine, glo, sanlynn, bdc, valso, azumaYou're all very welcome Your comments make me keep going when I start checking the clock and wondering when in the world will I finish the recap. glo I agree. Flaco likes mentoring Lalo and it does him good, because dealing with other people's problems make him forget about his own. bdc Happy to hear your dog is gonna be fine, honey azuma Yay another Román fan! I'm glad I'm not the only one I haven't been able to watch the full episode yet, but I'll comment any Román on it, that's for sure

Recap for episode 130, aired on July 28.Status: Done. This recap is brought to you by infinite sadness over Román's death He was all parts awesome and I'll miss him so fucking much I can't even explain to you why he's awesome Uh, so Laura doesn't know who killed Mirta, actually. She just knows the murderer brought a fashion magazine dated April 23, 2010 and Mirta was killed on April 22. Well, I know at least one magazine that carries a date subsequent to when it can actually be found on sale... And what about subscribers? Whatever, Laura thinks it points to Lily, so it's all good LOL. Román was supposed to have written a long letter to Laura explaining everything, right? Right. But the letter we got to see wasn't even half a page long! And that's pretty much the space it would take to say the part I translated yesterday! Show, you're so cheap you can't even get someone to write a long prop letter! Flashback time (this is for azuma): Román told Laura about a key to a safety where he stored proof against a lot of people and money for his daughter, in case he gets killed. The directions to the safety are the numbers tattooed on his body! So c'mon Laura!!! You had a perfectly good reason to have sex with my dear Román: you only wanted to see the tattoo so you could go open the safety box! Such a missed opportunity... And so funny Marga walking around the house wielding a knife... well, not so funny because she actually killed a person with one before, but still. Lesson 211. Business Flaco > Ironic Mercedes > Lalo Hurt-in-his-Pride The boys went to see Mercedes together - cute again Well, more like Flaco kind of dragged a very uneasy Lalo into seeing her, but anyway. Flaco told Mercedes they wanted to talk to her about Lalo's contract. Mercedes went on ironic mode and asked him: "Are you his manager now?" Flaco: "No no, but I'd like to help my friend. What do I know? When I was young, many people helped me. I'd like to do the same." Pure win, Flaco Mercedes repeated that the club isn't interested in renewing Lalo and he said to Flaco: "I told you you were gonna make me look like a fool, coming here for nothing." And then to Mercedes, kind of tearing up: "You're gonna want to kill yourselves when I make it." Aw Lalito, that's just so you Flaco made him stay and went full on serious mode with Mercedes: "This is not how things are, Mercedes. You're being very unfair, because Lalo is very skillful, much more than any asshole outside [the office?]. All fine, if you're going to be unfair, I don't know if I want to stay in Cristal." That was a really good move, considering he was sure the club would let him go in 6 months, but then... Mercedes: "Flaco, your renewal is a possibility whenever you want it. The truth is I don't want you to leave us but it's your decision and it's up to you to which point you're gonna put aside your business for other things [looks pointedly at Lalo]." Cue to Lalo's leaving and Flaco's serious face. 212. Anguila is too good of a friend. He even keeps Marga company so that she's protected and Chiqui can be surer of her safety. That's some friend indeed, cause Marga is unbearable, and Anguila has pointed that out numerous times. The police took the trouble of charging the Saruman-looking hobo's cell phone so that they could look through it but then completely forgot about it and gave it back to him when he was released Oh and then Chiqui bought the phone from the hobo by borrowing money from Torres! The hobo whispered in his ear that the phone has an important message but of course Chiqui couldn't keep the phone. 213. Show is making people suspicious for Mirta's murder again, so that must mean we're gonna find out soon. Depressed Flaco went to visit depressed Chiqui in jail and they traded depressing stories about Flaco's kids and Chiqui's dead daughter. Then they began talking about Chiqui's getting in prison and Chiqui said the police was actually investigating Mirta's murder and Flaco got all angry, insulted the dead woman, and asked why the police was investigating that if she killed herself. So cue to Chiqui looking at him suspiciously. C'mon show, don't make Chiqui suspect of Flaco 214. Laura's interrogatory skills > Lily's wooden face. Laura asked Lily if she ever got one of those magazines before it was on sale and she said yes and looked all guilty. Or something. Who knows what she's trying to express anyway? 215. My dear Román has so many uses we'll never finish finding out about all of them! He can take pictures and make fake passports as well. He was supposed to take a picture of Nino for his new fake passport and Nino looked everywhere but at the camera. Román had to tell him to look at him twice. Qué pasa, Nino? Are you shy about cameras or are you shy about Román? Maybe too many memories? [And I don't have an opening question mark on this keyboard, so forgive me my flawed Spanish.] 216. Lalo is oh so afraid for his career that he even thinks Tato might be his best option Poor kid. Plus, restless, fearful Lalo makes Flaco get serious and brave and forget about whining - yay! I can't understand the first thing Flaco says in this scene. Can someone please help me? Then Flaco told Lalo that he had already started with it and should see it through, get away from Tato. Lalo, looking doubtful as hell, replied that he doesn't know anymore, because the club doesn't want him and Tato said he would use his network so that no club would sign him. Flaco replied that Tato isn't all that, that everyone in the business hates his guts, and told him not to be a coward, that he should fight for his rights and become a free agent. Lalo answered that he doesn't want to sign for a club in the third division. And that made him go from doubtful to angry [so you again, Lalo!]: "In the end, I think you don't give a shit about my career." Flaco, of course, asked if he was out of his mind. Lalo: "You put me in this thing against Tato and to tell you the truth... - ok, I understand you want to screw him over - but it's not convenient for me. What is convenient for me? [aaaand doubtful again]." Flaco: "Anything except keep linked to him." Super doubtful Lalo: "Well, I don't know if it's exactly like that. I don't want to lose the little I got." Desperate Flaco: "Lalo, look at me, pendejo, listen to me, hey. [Lalo: "Okay."] I tell you out of experience, loco, pay heed to me, it's time to take a risk. If you believe in your skills like I do, take a risk." I really liked this scene - very them, very well-played by both actors. Lalo always goes angry when he gets very insecure like this. 217. Now he's done it. A month or so ago, I never thought it would be possible for me to hate Nino's guts but he's certainly done it now. I don't care how great he used to be or how hot. I want him to die a horrible, slow death and that's the only ending I accept for him. Román gave Nino his new passport and replied to Nino's attempted joke with his awesome serious-business face Then Nino gave him the key to the money and Román said: "I like working with people who keep their word. It was a pleasure doing business with you." Then they shaked hands and Román turned his back on Nino to walk away and Nino shot him in the head. My dear, dear, dear Román.... And Marga told Chiqui she's pregnant No wishes today, and just one single question: - How am I supposed to go on without my dear Román?!?
