Yep shameless, it's what we were discussing previously, that after seeing this week's eps, something would have come up clearer, especially finally regarding the spoilers! To wrap up what you've already rightly said, (BTW for sure Luke will win this year's tough contest about "The best door mat EVA!!" ;D) I wanted just to add 2 observations... 1) When Katie told that line & Luke was all in denial about what happened before, like you told, he was trying to hide himself again from the truth (I don't think at all, like someone else, that he basically didn't feel anything for Reid, hence he acted like that...Quite the opposite! For Brian, when he was simply flattered by his attentions, he acted boldly, very different from the weird lost insecure 1 of today ) Since he's a drama queen, at this stage the issue won't be if he will give into passion for Reid (he'll go for it ), but how he will succeed in harming himself deeper & deeper...Because he's OOC about his guilty (soapy) feeling for Noah, & will swear his love just to help him survive this moment... 2) Out of the blue, I've remembered the old scene Luke shared with Lily-dear-mummy (like Katie, the 1 who helps us to see an extra POV ), in which she had to choose if moving on or not with good daddy Holden => She asked him if that was also his case for his loving life, & he'd been ambiguous : in that moment I've hoped that since it's practically sure that she will end up happily ever after with Holden, Luke will be up to the 2nd option "the 1 who moves on"...If it's really that we'll see at the end, however it could be a subtext given us by the writers (since they've only 10 precious minutes per ep, in which they try to tell us as much as they can!! )

That's what i just said about today episode on liveblog: I think Luke was very cruel with Reid saying him things that he definitely knew would hurt him the most,he knows Reid and he knows how to get him, that was just cruel. And Reid was saint to took it so calm just in the end he exploded and tried to defending himself but still stayed in control and didn't say any cruel words to Luke, that shows what a dignified man Reid is and how much he cares about Luke's feelings, amazing scenes! both Eric and Van just burned screen with hotness, passion and real irresistible feelings that you capable not only seeing but literately feel, that was GREAT performance.BRAVO! I can add i agree with you Stregatta in every your sentence. And the kiss was definitely hotter than i could even dream, they both were so into it.... amazing! Hey Talulaua, & I agree with you too!! It's so fine for once not being disappointed (as I've been for other plots/ series in the past), when you feel that the material written on the page, could have been a bomb, than you sit & watch & say "What the hell! They've managed to ruin it all!!" ... This time is a bliss, if they're meant to go down this breathless-path, I'm totally with them, & it's so good to see excitement around for the new ATWT's turn aswell... Besides, I know many are saying why so late, they could have done before, etc, but if you think twice, when they've to drag on a SL forever, like soaps tend to do all the time, also this plot would have been spoiled: therefore I prefer a shorter but more proper & intense 1, & I'd be perfectly fine, even if it will finish earlier than usual! (PS_Ah, of course....TEAM REID!! )

OMG...I've seen this ep.& it was even better of what I've been waiting for...AMAZING!! Moving , awesome , & wonderfully played out by sux-Van & Eric...KUDOS !! I've liked that parallel of the scene with Luke this time freaking out, that sees Reid half naked (for me it has been done on purpose, like the other 1 with Luke in a towel & Dr Boombastic freaking out about his trail ) & OF COURSE, last but not least, the cherry on top of the cake, the kiss ...WOW! A chemistry that simply oozes off the screen (& it's getting better & better). All in all I guess that with this ep. I've understood better also the dynamic of the "couple": if with Noah it was all a matter of push & pull for puppy love, this time around it's a matter of PRIDE & PREDJUDICE...Both partners have fallen for each other, but Luke thinks Reid is ifallible & all full of himself (therefore he doesn't know if he should believe him or not), & Reid on the other hand feels to be manipulated by Luke, & misunderstood on his good intentions...Uuhh...DRAMA!! PS_Again the spoilers were slightly different from what's on screen: Bob didn't drive out Dr because he had done something morally wrong, but simply "like a father" suggested him to have a rest at home...Poor Reid today!

NADA AMIGO!! LOL ;D...Better... Anyway, I think writers can not demand that the whole ATWT-audience love by force a character created with such a purpose: as a matter of fact, even witout knowing this, I've been always more drowned into Luke's side that else... Then, at this stage, the game is open to all the possibilities, both the ways: because it's only Luke the pivotal point of the SL, am I wrong?! both ways or 3 way is fine with me... as long as it's good drama and nobody ends up looking lame. Very good! So you're open-minded too ...However Van said that nobody is gonna die in the end, that's a comfort, 'cause sometimes in our stuff the character is even dead in the end, or believed to be disappeared, or leaves town alone (or is on the run, "Prison Break" style! ), etc...Definitely, not the classsic Disney's happy-ending! I bet BTW in the end Luke won't be alone: 'cause a possibility, sad but more realistic, could be him that chooses to be by himself, without having to stay with 1 or the others, leaving open to the audience to imagine what could happen after that in far future ...(Frustrating I know, but fine, I've seen an open-thing like that in an American series, but it was prime time & sci-fi, so...Very different: here is the romantic plot to be underlined obviously )

^^ unfortunately, Noah was never a main character, he has been a plot device for Luke. The writers have done everything they can to keep Nuke a part, so they can use Luke's sadness, weakness to their advantage. Amera came in so Nuke wouldn't have sex or even kiss, election debacle so Luke would drink and be open for Brian to kiss and then Mason and the accident so Luke could be open for Reid. Noah has no friends (other than horrible 2 seconds of Richard who is also a plot device for Luke) of his own. Did you notice nobody (friends) was at the hospital for Noah's surgery, other than Luke? No Casey, Allison, Richard, Dusty or even a phone call from Mattie. Nothing Nada. Just Luke and his parents. I think Nuke still loves each other. They just aren't allowed to show it. NADA AMIGO!! LOL ;D...Better... Anyway, I think writers can not demand that the whole ATWT-audience love by force a character created with such a purpose: as a matter of fact, even witout knowing this, I've been always more drowned into Luke's side that else... Maybe there were unforeseen complications cause it took so long for Noah to have the surgery and maybe it developed in the interim? The writers still could have shown where Noah was coming from & his feelings while incorporating Reid in to Oakdale. Typical bad writing - or lack of writing truly - for the character of Noah. Sure, IMO quite a big mistake from the writers, since Noah is supposed to be (ok, not at the beginning of the plot, but I mean, until now it's years with him in ATWT! : a main important character, instead he has been through the SL as "telefonato" we say here, like when you're calling someone by phone, & it's not all clear like talking face-to-face... I see this role that way on-off: you've never the full picture of what's REALLY supposed to going on with him off-screen, & inside him as a character (as a matter of fact more than 1 fan, like me, haven't understand if he's still in love with Luke, or he's just clinging on him in a time of need ...Well, of course I guess we're supposed to believe he's still totally in love with him, true?! )

Well... no sense arguing over a stuck elevator.. LOL... Maybe I'll tweet susandansby and ask her, she's been writing the storyline. Anyway, I'm curious how close LuRe get to sex today. Looks like Reid already has his shirt off, so we know Luke isn't going to unbutton it, which Is what I was thinking last week. Ah-ah, you're right! Mmhh...After having seen all these clips/photos, (BTW before I was thinking too that the notorious unbottoned shirt was because Reid was changing clothes or so, not exactly because they were making out...Because it looked weird to me Luke was FULLY dressed with even the jacket?! ) I think as follows: It will be a hot scene not for what we're going to actually see, but for the way they'll rekindle their passion, & also that this whole scene will basically be just a sexy-kiss (started this time by Luke, obviously, to be fair! ), the doc will let himself go wild for like...5 secs?! (knowing ATWT-valuable time! ;D) & that's it! Luke's remorse will be unbereable... So why all this scene? I guess to make Luke (+audience) see the naked Reid (a parrallel to the Luke-in-a-towel 1 )...Basically to turn him on! However it will be funny to comment "the aftermath" !!

About the way Reid is behaving toward Luke about this delicate matter of Noah's surgery, honestly it seems that it's more Luke to be the 1 upset (for many reasons), compared to Reid, who, despite his jealousy, has been very professional (hence "cold") & fair, I guess, to him... All in all, everyone knew this was a very risky operation , & when you go under the knife, only the patient himself takes the risk of accepting it or not (apart from danger of life, of course!), signing a realising-paper...I imagine Luke will have to say sorry quite soon to the poor doctor, who just did his job (& is not God BTW, you know... )

Absolutely Luke is in denial. Remember the elevator scene- he was very attracted to Reid there. He was also attracted when he grabbed Reid's shirt in the house or where ever they were. He ignored it. He denied it. But it was there. That's been the whole build up. I mean at one point Luke literally licks his lips after one of his "confrontations" with Reid. He was trying to convince himself of who Reid is, and what each of them wanted. What Reid did by kissing Luke was to say to Luke "I am not that guy." He said it all when he point blank said I ve wanted to kiss you for a long time or when he said how do I make you feel Luke. He's saying- I am the honest guy. I am rude and what not, but I am as you see me. He's not going to play games, and he's going to go after what he wants if but without being the "other guy" which is supported by the spoilers if they are right since once Luke, who is still playing at being Noah's lover, declares his emotions for Noah (I believe out of guilt although I wont know until I see the scene), Reid steps aside to give Luke what Luke says he wants. I think the real conflict at this point is Luke's denial because he's been one thing for such a long time- a part of Nuke, and now, there's this new guy who is in many ways the opposite of Noah. Noah's sweet. Reid is not. Noah doesn't now what he wants. Reid does. Noah's cool. Reid is passionate. Noah plays games with both himself over what Noah wants. Reid doesn't play games even if he's a jerk. These things are testing Luke about what he really wants. Neither guy, Noah or Reid, are so far being played as villains, and I hope they don't go there. Why? Because it is great realistic conflict that will require Luke to grow up a bit, and hopeful Noah too. It is easier to throw a villian in the way rather than two different choices that are not villains. I just hope Reid does not get hurt in the cross fire. [/quote] Accurate observations shamelessfan! I've seen these characters the same way so far, if all this building up Reid in a good way, is to finally revert him back to be a "villain", it would be incredibly stupid ... As far as Noah or Luke sux-villains?? NO WAY!! Probably we'll have just a little jerk-Luke for a period, as he has been in the past for ex. with Brian's SL PS_md1347...Are you joking? Really you didn't get, campy-situation aside, the hotness in that elevator??(Aerosmith could have been the soundtrack to that scene BTW, LOL ) When Reid was manhandling Luke & he replied "It could be a start..." with that naughty grin... ;D

^^ I don't know, I'm confused still.... after his conversation with Katie today, I'm not sure what Luke is thinking. He seemed to dismiss Reid totally. I think he's confused and really not comprehending what Reid said and the kiss, almost kisses and his own feelings yet. Which could be why he goes back with Noah then seems to get into a secret relationship with Reid a week or 2 later. Up until the kiss, I don't think Luke saw Reid in a romantic way at all and I'm not sure he still does. 2 days ago their time (I think). He thought Reid hated him. I think your perception is completely off. Luke is clearly in denial. Luke obviously didn't got to Texas with Reid for Noah, that's why he was very uncomfortable in Texas when Noah called Reid and Luke had to speak to Noah. Noah assumed Luke went to Texas despite not being able to get along with Dr. Oliver. But when you looked at how Luke responded, that wasn't the case at all. I think you are missing all the clues that have been left all over the place for quite some time, you should rewatch those clips. Yes, I agree with your POV...It's simply Luke who doesn't want to see the "hints" , but he still feels them all along; therefore he's so scared to explore more of what he really wants inside, & had taken this "excuse" of Noah's obviously huge problems right now, to hide himself from Reid (when he spoke with Katie, Luke said that was there for Noah to comfort him, but not 'cause he loved him "that way" anymore, he still cares of course, but they've broken up) BTW I'VE SO LOVED KATIE'S POV ON THE WHOLE (she's the 1 to have figured out all before everyone did) ...Especially when she said that if Luke is not happy, the others close to him won't be aswell...Wise woman! I know most fans are doubtful about what Luke really feels, etc, but I'm quite confident mine shouldn't be a wishful thinking...Anyway we'll see very soon, I guess for the end of these week's 2 eps, we're going to see it clearer PS_It was hilarious BTW, how lots of fans have pointed out that the operation-room was pretty shallow (for the low budget), that Noah should have had his head shaved (at least partially ), & especially at least an oxygene tube?! & there was just a nurse...For the surgery of the millenium quite lame, isn't it?! LOL ;D

tomorrow is going to be drama filled. You can say it loud! Anyway, I'm curious to see if there'll be a brief encounter before the surgery between Lure or just Nuke : 'cause probably those words told before could have a tough weight "after" (seeing Luke's reaction at least...)

WOW!! YAY ESS alias Dr O. has won with flying colours the weekly poll again (after last week in duo with Luke! ) I'm really glad...Of course I'm also hoping the crazy writers don't dare to mess up the whole thing in a little time!! (knowing ATWT, as you all said, I mean ) Especially because being an American show, I always have the fear to see a situation in which, the 1 who suffers the most, like Noah, has to be rewarded (in this case with Luke's award...), instead the 1 smart & "who behaves the ok-way" & he's so confident & bold, to even try to have a real love liaison (hence sex included ) finally has to be burned like the wicked witch of the story....PLEASE, don't do that!!LOL

Well, the circumstances are very different, when Nuke were backburned the show had a lot of pressure from conservative groups, and to be honest they did a very bad job with Nuke (i think it would be very easy introduce them in other storylines, and it would be a lot easy to distract the fans from the lack of physical affection if they were in interesting storylines). Right now the show is cancelled, and they are not exactly five days per week, so i don't think there's any reason to backburned them. This week is important in terms of how this triangle will develop, in my opinion a Luke and Noah revival could be a bad idea. If they really want to make a meaty triangle, they need to give some space for Luke develop feelings for Reid, and it would be a bad idea if Luke cheat on Noah. They need to be free of any guilty, to give space for the possibility of any couple. The real triangle must start when Noah is well again You've read my mind ...In the sense that I've been surprised to see that Noah didn't go away at all!! (if I were the writer, I would have give some space to develop the feelings between Lure without N., sending him away for rehab, before the famous surgery ) So now we're seeing this weird situation that ghost N. is everywhere, the guilt of Luke is all over the place, ditto for Reid after the issues in the operating-room ...All hell is breaking loose!! For this reason I'm stilll wondering if Lure will be just the hot-sex-game & nothing more, 'cause Luke won't fall in love, & Nuke are the 1 gay-Romeo&Juliet...Or vice versa, LOL ;D Last but not least...If writers have totally change their mind over this early finale!

The Luke/Reid story does seem to be very popular but then again everything is filmed two months in advance and TIIC at ATWT have a long track record of royally screwing things up so I personally don't put a lot of faith in anything they do. Therefore I think it is possible that they might "backburner" the story for a while. It has kind of been their pattern to trot out Nuke during sweeps and then they are backburnered for months on end. Although, I personally have not read anywhere that this would be the case for the current storyline. Of course, the show is ending so who knows what they have in store for the characters. I personally enjoy reading all the spoilers/rumors and speculation so that I can try and figure out what is coming. The accusations that Nuke fans are making up spoilers to suit themselves is very amusing because I have read the same silly accusations from some Noah fans against LuRe fans. Whatevercakes. Right now, I really would like to see the LuRe story start to heat up and go somewhere i.e why don't they just sleep together already? I am not convinced that Nuke will be "endgame" (which would be my personal preference) but I will watch the show to the bitter end to find out how the story ends. ETA: another sentence. It really has surprised me how popular Lure is becoming (I don't know how, but there are people on YT, that have seen their latest eps, & get drowned to ATWT, even not being fan of that soap opera...Pretty amazing, uh?! )... However, I can understand you, it won't be the 1st time that a show screws up good SL or actors for lots of reasons (unknown for us poor little audience! ), so I'm aware too that we're all in the danger-zone & the point of no return...But never say never, we'll see before crying too much! Oh boy, you asked why Lure hadn't still have sex?? Well, just you ask, being a Nuke's fan, you should know that for ATWT's standards, I guess the quick pace of Lure should win a medal too!!(If it's true that they'll go for it quite soon...) ;D It's funny this double accusation, 1 team against the other of fans, I didn't even know about such things, however, I think it's also a good sign of interest rekindled PS_Simply for my personal curiosity, why would you like to see Nuke as endgame in the finale? Because they're the most romantic possible couple, or for all they've come through, they deserve to be have an happy ending??

PS_I have no idea about the way American writers/ producers run their projects, but usually (I've recently seen for another show here instead) if generally the audience, like in this specific case, show interest & it brigs to the it more new (or old lost) viewers, you can be sure it does count in the end: because it's creativity that finally pays off, & everyone is ok with this concept...Money! I guess even f there's a dedicated group of fans for a couple, in this case Nuke? I imagine that the big audience could make the real final difference: I mean, whichever it will be...

Rumor??? I don't think it's true but are any of you hearing that Van and Jake (Luke and Noah) are leaving the show a bit early, that they won't be on when the show ends? I think they are both still working though. I've read in a couple of different places but never any source or anything. Not sure if it's the same rumor repeated or if it's another source. I haven't heard this rumor, but I have heard that Luke's story will be backburned sometime in the future, probably around July. Hopefully, if this means that they've reunited Nuke (which I really don't want to happen, because I am all about a Luke/Reid ending, but don't really see this happening) Reid won't be backburned as well. If the case is that Nuke are back together and then taken off screen for a while, I hope Reid is still on the canvas in a different capacity. I know there are spoilers about Bob wanting him and Chris to run this hospital, so maybe he'll be around for that. It helps that he has so many other contacts in Oakdale. It would be easy to have him around for another story. I'm a total Reid fangirl so I want to see him on screen until the end! ;D Their story is a success, I've really seen an enthusiasm that was lacking before this 2010...So I really think it's just a rumour, like many others untrue...Besides, like others have said, why put out a gossip like this, that will ruin the finale surprise?! I want to be positive regarding this, & not just it Meggie, but also about our fav Dr Bommbastic , I'm pretty sure he'll have, regardless, a good SL of his own (like has been until now), & due to this warm welcome by the audience, who knows? Even an extra, don't lose hope PS_for inst., I've been surprised to read the comment after watching latest promo, from random fans on YT: I believed most of the people would have been uber-worried for Noah's conditions...Instead, tons of viewers were more concerned into pleading Luke to be fair to poor Reid! WOW (good sign for us)

I've get the impression that the confession of being Noah the love of his life won't be made to a concious Noah. I think Noah won't recover till next week, so don't know if they will be an item again or just something that Luke will do in a moment of guilt Yeah, it sounds like something you would say in a desperate situation, because you think that beloved person could even die soon, so it's understandable...Of course Reid will arrive EXACTLY in that moment!! Ahhh...Sux dramatic eps for sure!!

What's the point of placing "so far" in quotes? As someone else wrote, the real issue here is that this is Luke's story regarding who he will pick- Noah or Reid. Reid, even here, in a triangle, unless they take him out of character, would not be the type of guy to have a relationship where Luke is still dating Noah. He has too much of an ego for that and too much of the type of guy who will blurts out what he thinks. From the trajectory of the story, it seems the declaration of love comes out of guilt rather than an expression of true feelings. Where does Noah make similar declarations to Luke? Do you see that in the spoilers? What does that tell us? To me, this says, they are in the same place as before, but Luke is scared to move on. That again is Luke's issues rather than Noah's or Reid's issue. He wants to cling to Noah even if it is not clear that Noah wants Luke. But this time, he's doing it for even worse reason- not because it is clear he loves Noah, but because of guilt and because he's afraid of what might happen with Reid. I think the same as you, spoilers apart, call it an instinct! It's nicer this time, compared to before, because Luke is really changing himself, after what's going through during the past months; so we really don't have a clear idea of what's ahead...Like him! However the only sure thing is that this affair with Reid is going to be real, even if it will be hidden for a while, due to Noah's condition regarding Noah, I guess that their closeness won't turned out to be the same as before, despite what Nuke will tell each other (for more than 1 reasons)... Last but not least, I bet my coin on the very soapy misunderstanding-factor: who peeps who, who says what to the wrong person or the wrong timing & basically so on & on...Till they want to! Entertaining
