But it was odd the way that Christian was able to be so nice to Judith (who is a constant case of sad girl these days) only to blow up at Olli again. Judith isn't the one he's in love with, though. With Olli, Christian has absolutely no defences left, so when Olli doesn't instantly guess that Christian would really rather spend the evening with him, it hurts that much more. What's the saying, "you only hurt the ones you love"? Because he loves Olli so much he also ends up hurting him that much more by taking out all his nerves and pent up emotions on him, though Olli doesn't really deserve it - the only things Olli was guilty of, was not being a mind reader, and being human enough to want to get out of a really uncomfortable situation (spending the evening away from the flatshare of gloom).

Of course I loved this episode. It was so sweet and romantic and exciting (and cheesy and cliched but that's half the fun.)
I loved bromoter Gregor and how he kissed his fist while holding the good luck amulet. Even though he is pumping up Christian he is nervous too. Though it made me wonder where Olli's anchor is.
I was laughing at how the guy Olli was hanging out with could totally read the situation and escaped to the bar.
Cranford shirt. How to make a great episode even better.
Am on a high from all the lovey-kissiness.
ETA: forgot the most important thing! I loved how there was no bad guy in their fight. They were both just being human, both a little guilty, both a little impatient, but mostly just not connecting. In the end their love was more important than any hurt feelings or pride or career.

Random info: In German his words are literally: What kind of shitty dream is this? Where I'm not even allowed to love the person I want to love. BTW, in the unlikely case somebody wants to see the entire episode and just how much space Ollian took up: www.youtube.com/watch?v=VMUUs1f9yy4www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ogk359wJvcwwww.youtube.com/watch?v=YskM67RLd3kThe only scenes that weren't Ollian were: - Lydia runs into Sebastian at the boxing match and they get into a hissy fight "Christian and Olli are MY friends. Get lost! - I was here first and you said you didn't even like boxing!" - After Lydia gets Sebastian to leave Rebecca takes her to the side and says they live in the same town, know the same people, hang around at the same locations they need to find a mode of getting along. Lydia unsheates her bitch claws. Rebecca: Everybody is lovesick sometimes. I know exactly how you feel. Lydia: Wait, your boyfriend had sex with you mom too? Oh right, he didn't because you are AN ORPHAN! (note, the acting was hilarious bad for both girls in this scene) - Tanja is happy that she blackmailed Ansgar into agreeing to marry her and informs him that they will need to act as a couple all the time to convince social services. - The Lahnsteins visit Nathalie at the hospital - The Lahnsteins have dinner and Tanja barges in to announce that she and Ansgar have made up. Ansgar takes her outside and Tanja again reminds him to be nice to her and not to think that he can get rid of her this easily. - The Lahnsteins confront Ansgar about Tanja and Carla tells Ansgar he is a bastard and she can't believe she was actually beginning to think he really had feelings for Nathalie. - Some birdwatcher comes to see Ansgar and shows him a picture that might confirm Nathalie's alibi.

I think that if Olli had tried harder he would have worked it out why Christian was in Schneiders holding DVDs in his hand. But then, Christian could have told him, but he was too proud, especially after Olli told him he was jealous. So he just had to prove to him he was not, even when he wanted Olli to come back with him. But the fight and the separation did them good, because Christian realised his dream without Olli means nothing to him and Olli after Lydia's "pep talk" realised that he and Christian are nothing like Lydia and Sebastian and he surely did not want to end up like that. So in the end that first fight only made them stronger. That's what I like about VL, they believe in relationships, in HO Ollie would be already jumping in the nearest available bed ;D

Nice work with photoshop, Nanna I tried the other one, with Christian with open eyes, but I have more enthusiasm than skills with photoshop ;D

Evilgeniuslady, whilst reading your comment, I just realised that there's a whole world of truth in it. I remember being like Christian, expecting my partner to be a mind reader. Thanks for this excellent insight.

It's sad yes, but I like it more The other one is an illusion, this one shows Olli completely oblivious and Christian that could not sleep thinking all sorts of things Olli was doing when with the other guy, while he wanted him to be with him.

Wow, Nanna and Ivan! Your photoshop creations are absolutely wonderful!!!! But I have to agree with you, Nanna, the one with Christian's eyes open makes me sad, too. Although Olli actually doesn't deserve it, I feel so sorry for Christian because he's so hurt in this moment. It's strang somehow: Even though I thought in those last episodes so often "Christian, you're such an ass!!" I can't be really mad at him . Besides, the first thing I did when I got up today was starting my laptop and then watching yesterday's episode again. I just can't get the two of them outta my head!! Right now I kinda feel the way Chris did after he got the message that he was allowed to take part in the fight. Chris told Olli, he'd like to jump and run... That's exactly how I feel right now!! Just because of two characters in a soap!! How weird is that? I'm so glad I've found this board here, I didn't know what to do right now if I hadn't. The person I could share my feelings with and who'd understand them is on vacation now, so nobody's left but you!! Thank you all for understanding me!!!

Yes, that was heart-breaking. But as this is a soap, I'd rather have the illusion. Or I can imagine that's what they'd look like after having great make-up sex after the fight. I loved Olli's line: "I gave up everything for you because you were worried about your testosterone level." Sex apparently is everything. ;D) And I'd like to thank GayTime for always helping me out with his supersonic hearing abilities when I don't understand something they said.

That's good to know that sometimes even Germans do not understand what they are saying on VL ;D I could for example understand every word Olli was saying over the beer to Gregor, he articulates very well, but I have often problems with Christian

I kept trying to guess what Olli was saying to the guy at Schneiders. I think he was talking about photography.

It happens most often when they say something in English or French. For example, I didn't understand "Mr. Over-Cool" in this episode.

I must admit there are times when I have trouble understanding what they say on VL. I managed to understand the Mr. Over-Cool bit, but some of Wolle's comments , I didn't understand it. And Axel's last sentence in the preview. I still don't get it. The bit after the little princess one. Could someone please state what Axel's actual words were.

Usually if I have trouble understanding anyone on the show, it's Thore/"Christian" as well because there are times when Thore doesn't enunciate and comprehension becomes more of a struggle. Interesting to read that VL causes some "the hell?" moments for everyone, even the native German speakers. Nanna, Gaytime is very wonderful with that. I know he's helped me, esp with AWZ when they get all rapid fire German.

I'm pretty sure, after three or four times of listening, his literal lines are these: "Drei mal hab ich geduscht, aber ich krieg diesen schwulen, klebrigen Gestank nicht ab. Schade, dass dein Prinzesschen schon hoch ins Heiabettchen ist. Bleib ruhig, dann musst du dir eben nen Gesichtschirurgen suchen."

I just have to say, this ep was all kinds of awesome I watched it about 5 times, mostly just going back to watch the bit with the kiss. Does anyone else think that the song that was playing was perfect for the moment? I got rather teary over it all. Its definately one of my favourite moments of the storyline. On a side note, i found it amusing that when Christian kissed Olli the first time, and Olli told him to "watch it", the photographer had just taken a photo of them kissing, so caution was a moot point by then. hehe

I've never heard that word in my life! Beddy-byes! I think that's an American expression.

Axel ...grrrrr.. Oh, I hope Christian beats the hell out of him for hurting his Olli. BTW, anyone else wonder why on earth, Christian has gone "beddy bye" and Olli is alone? I would think after THAT kiss, they would be snuggling together someplace, letting Olli have his way with Christian..afterall, the man has been deprived.

I thought Chrolli would be on a bonkathon. Beddy bye sounds so funny! It's reminds me of Piper talking to her children. BTW, I love the " Olli having his way with Christian"! Oh God, my mind is too fertile. I can actually see it! ;D ;D ;D ;D

Not too much to add - just want to reiterate how awesome this whole episode was. I'm glad they had a fight, I'm glad it was realistic (as in, I could see where both of them were coming from), but I'm extra-glad that they made up. And as for how...wow. I'm looking forward to the fall-out from this, and I may revise this opinion later, but for now, I'm going to say that all the crap we sat through to get here (the beard stuff, Stupid Axel) was totally worth it for that final scene. And yay for more Snow Patrol over important Ollian moments! To whoever mentioned Lydia and Rebecca's reactions - given that Olli was responding to Lydia's rantings with remarks about Christian suggests that, even if she wasn't listening then, she does know about it (especially if, as yesterday suggested, Olli never actually sleeps in his own room any more). As for Rebecca, she knows that they're The Men Women Trust so presumably that means she knows. I mean, we all saw that breakfast at the castle. And I'm happy enough just watching Olivia clapping like a seal (aww! She can feel nice things for other people!). That said, I like the fact that the other people there seemed somewhere between "surprised" and "violent". Very realistic, and I hope that whenever the immediate Axel fallout is over they don't just ditch the idea that Christian's sexuality might not be too compatible with his career choice. Hell, even at sports college (assuming he still actually goes there it's gonna cause some problems. Oh, and how much did everyone love Magic Olli charging down the smokey tunnel to save the day? So incredibly cheesey, but I loved it!
