I don't think that Judith is gonna take her mind off Fabian any time soon. They had her find out the secret of Fabian's mom so she could be wrapped up in that storyline. I know it isn't noticable from watching just the C&O storyline but Judith has had a whole boatload of scenes with the Brander family. She overheard the truth about Katja's pregnancy, Katja begged her not to destroy her family by telling the truth, Judith angsted about telling the truth, Fabian and Judith where having a good time with Sebastian and Lydia when Judith couldn't take it anymore and lashed out at Sebastian and then couldn't explain it why, triggering suspicion from Lydia.
I think she will be wrapped up in this plot for a while because it will be a while longer till Lydia finds out the truth. And for this to work Judith and Fabian need to be tight otherwise she wouldn't have a reason to hang out with the Brandners so much. Hence, only limited time for her to fawn over Christian.

Sadly it seems that the actual physical catfight ratio is rather low on VL If anything it seems to be the guys hitting each other. The bitch villains would rather focus on poisoning you rather than stooping to using their hands. Well, people often forget that, in addition to all the catfights, there were quite a few dogfights on Dynasty too. Indeed, one of the main things that makes Steven Carrington such a breakthrough gay/bi character was the fact that he wasn't depicted as being a wimp. Just the opposite in fact, he was ready and willing to get into brawls on many occasions. In fact that's how he first realized his attraction to his eventual partner Bart. Christian is just taking it further by being an actual boxer. Like Steven he's a prettyboy with an aggressive streak. Unlike the comically stereotypical Axel and the Neanderthals.

Yay...was so pleased to see more of my fave soap couple. I liked this ep, tho Axel annoyed me no end, and his macho buddies. The whole leather thing seems overcompensating. but the Ollian cuteness was just ;D I laughed so hard the first time i saw this cap...amd the second, amnd the third <3 <3 <3 so cute This too i love this expression lol @ Christian's reaction to the kiss ;D and the way Olli was looking at him when Judith did the kissing, as if he's not so sure he likes this idea as much as he thought

psionycx: thanks so much for the info re Doping. Please don't take it super-personally that I've being putting these questions to you -- and not to amber, zum Beispiel.
BTW: do you recall how Olivia made reference to the 'granola bar / grape-juice concentrate' alternative? What's your opinion of the efficacy of that?
(By now, you probably figure I'm trying to determine the best strategy for getting on the cover of Men's Fitness, in under six months--some aspiration of that sort . . . )

[My thoughts were just running along the lines of repressed tendencies etc. - re- the axel character PS - congrats Gast48 at becoming a seniorYes. But you did say gay bar and not coffee bar. And he didn't make snide remarks about your pink leotard or catching sheep lice -- at least you haven't reported as much. So I don't think there's enough of a parallel here to infer much about Axel on this basis . . .

Christian called Axel an "Einzeller". My dictionary translates that as "unicellular organism" ;D so I used amoeba. I know it's not the same, but both make it very clear that it's some low life form. Well you seem to have got away with amoeba but the word vamoose seems to have thrown them ;D

Well you seem to have got away with amoeba but the word vamoose seems to have thrown them ;D "Vamoose" threw me at first too, but mostly because it's not in common usage in my geography anymore. That said, it conveys the sentiment very well. Christian was greatly enjoying Olli's friskiness and wanted Gregor to move along so that they could give the hallway a try. Presumably they've already done it in every part of the flatshare.

I think they should eventually re-enact Christian's dream of them kissing behind the counter in NoLimits, only this time Gregor will lead everyone in a round of enthusiastic applause.

Based on the guys I saw making out in a neighborhood bar in Frankfurt I will assume that most people will simply take little or notice. Except for Miriam who will probably run around like chicken with it's head cut off. But yes, the gym scene.....oooooo...that was niiiiiice! Christian protested, but not very heavily. I think he found having sex in there as hot as Olli did given the way he submitted to Olli's advances.

(By now, you probably figure I'm trying to determine the best strategy for getting on the cover of Men's Fitness, in under six months--some aspiration of that sort . . . ) Yeah but this is unfair putting someone on the spot over. It's like giving diet advice. What works for a person with a fast metabolism may not work for a person with a slow one for example. Every person being different, it's an inexact science. I think Olivia's statement was facetious anyway. She was just saying that health food wouldn't match the results of steroids. But then boxers don't have to be as pretty as bodybuilders or models. Like I said, I had one friend who gained a great deal of muscle mass under aggressive steroid cycles but no defintion whatsoever. His body responded by retaining water and gaining fat so that while he was big, he was very soft-looking. I also tended to put on weight after a cycle and usually couldn't lose it (I have a slow metabolism). As a rule you need to consume huge amounts of protein while attempting to gain muscle mass. Popular choices are egg whites (one of the most protein rich foods in existence), milk and beef. A lot of claims exist that consumption of amino acids in particular combinations (especially Lysine and Arginine taken together) may stimulate the production of growth hormones by the body. But this is unproven. My neighbor has an awesome physique, which is more attributable to jogging than weight-lifting interestingly enough. He does lift weight, and frequently, but a lot of his development is driven more by the jogging. Leading me to believe I need to take up jogging as well. Many joggers are thin, but they often don't supplement it with weight training. I'm a little surprised we don't see Christian at the trough more often because in a regimen like his I would expect him to be eating a great deal. I mean, he comes in from a run and just wants some of that apple soda the Germans so adore (it actually is pretty good)? He should be up-ending the pastry tray into his open mouth. Olli should be having to pry him away from it so that he can get to Christian's mouth. But I guess mealtime is only of interest in a soap when they're talking.

Except for Miriam who will probably run around like chicken with it's head cut off. Or drop her drink tray and stand irrevocably transfixed. Gregor wisely cancelled her as candidate for the Alibifreundin. She would have quickly gotten confused, lost track of the 'alibi' aspect of the 'part' . . .

Olli should be having to pry him away from it so that he can get to Christian's mouth. But I guess mealtime is only of interest in a soap when they're talking. Yes, Olivia seldom misses an occasion to say something sarcastic / unpleasant--if it relates at all to Christian. Even she gets that he despises her. Re the VL diet: they seem to drink continuously, always raiding the flatshare fridge for beverages--sometimes bananas, though, and flavored yogurt. As you say, this likely won't provide the wherewithal to transform Christian's physique into Axel's. But what's to be learned from the fact that Wolle's the only one who 'refrains' from eat-or-drink at NoLimits? I've always been a runner--enjoy that inexpressibly, whereas weightlifting not at all (though I do it), so I've always attributed my lack of Axel-like bulk to that. So therefore interesting what you say about your neighbor, the jogger. But, as you say also, what works for one or many won't necessarily work the 'next guy' . . . or girl . . . And I've never followed a special diet to try to increase protein intake--nor taken supplements--just eat lots of frijoles and oats--cafe au lait throughout the day . . . And no/yes, I didn't mean to put you on the spot in the matter of giving personal advice on such matters in this 'setting'. I'm interested, naturally, since it's been a major C&O theme, and I realized, that--though having heard about the entailed problems through the years (i e, re steroid use)--I really knew nothing about . . . So thank you!

Though I think Gregor was probably mostly against it because he knows that Miriam has sort of a grudge against him.

Though I think Gregor was probably mostly against it because he knows that Miriam has sort of a grudge against him. Mr. Bombastic? ;D Maybe he needs to "loosen her up" by wearing his red shirt more often. I thought Gregor just didn't think Miriam was competent enough to carry off being Christian's beard. Thankfully my family being from The South (fiddle dee dee! ) so words like vamoose don't throw me, but I reckon that vamoose is not a commonly used word outside of the southeastern USA. But come out to the west coast and it's all "like" and "dude". Nanna, hopefully Friday's ep slowed down all the obnoxious YT comments wondering when they're going to kiss again.

Though I think Gregor was probably mostly against it because he knows that Miriam has sort of a grudge against him. Well, I don't believe that Miriam is in on the big secret yet anyway. So she's probably still feeling a little rejected by Christian and more than a little miffed at Gregor after the whole his attempt at a f*** and forget thing. He probably figures (not unreasonably) that she might not take well to being asked to play beard to Christian. Also, she might not fully understand it being as airheaded as she is.

But come out to the west coast and it's all "like" and "dude". Like, dude, you know.... About Miriam as the beard: would you trust her in that? I wouldn't. There is the incident with Gregor, and she was smarting after that. She was clearly interested in Christian a while back, and that could raise some complications. She's seen Olli and Christian interact right in front of her. She's heard them talking, and Olli talking about Christian. (Of course, that means we need to discount the unique acoustics of No Limits.) And, even after that, she's apparently clueless about them. She can't even hold her drink tray without dropping it. All in all, not a good choice for such a delicate operation. But then Judith seemed to throw herself a little too much into the part. On the other hand, maybe she did what needed to be done, even if it seems to have almost made our Christian sick.

I think you're not giving Miriam enough credit. There's a moment in the 05/08 ep (the pub quiz one) where Olli is leaning over Christian's shoulder to try and peek at the answers, and Miriam is standing next to them where she gets this kind of "oh, my" light-bulb turning on look and then a smirk. I think she's figured it out, and is just being amused watching the boys dance around the issue.

Somehow I think Miriam isn't that smart; it may have looked that way, but usually she isn't the fastest in picking up stuff like that. (Or anything at all ;D) Hey Guys and Gals... I've been away for the weekend. Anyone miss me : ( Yeah right! As if I was any more important than Christian and Olli. Of course we miss you when you're gone! Hope you had a great weekend!

It's kind of like those bicycles attached to generators you see in science museums all over the world. You know, the ones where the rider peddles to see how hard it really is the light all those light bulbs. She momentarily got enough power into the thing to light up the bulb, but it typically fades rather quickly (even when rather fit people try it out).

Granted, she did have that one passing moment of incisive thought and articulate speech--when she told Gregor about himself. But truly extraordinary stimulation was required for it to manifest itself: a love affair that ran its full course in mere hours.
