Do they mean they will be posting it on Twitter? It does look increasingly like this pilot script (which kellerbrady posted last November) is legit. Sorry for doubting it - at the time, there seemed like zero chance Disney+ would ever air anything like this. drive.google.com/file/d/15Fa3m7AkgUjHUBapBwXd33Q6U7MXg3LK/view

Is there any idea if there is any other legal way to watch this aside from Hulu? Considering Hulu is US only, it basically leaves everyone else without a means to watch it. This is probably the only issue I have with it moving from Disney+, which would have opened up the show worldwide

Just watched the pilot on Twitter. It was ... kinda uninspiring, to be honest. I really hope things improve. As it stands, I'm a little surprised they even green-lit this to series considering how weak the pilot is. I would only stick with it for Ana Ortiz (and maybe Anthony Turpel - who plays the goofy neighbour Felix).

I actually loved the pilot... it has all the cliches you would expect, but I couldn’t help but smile the whole way through. It’s the kind of mindless fun I’ve been craving for while (after binging so many intense shows during these quarantine months lol)
Response on twitter looks really strong! It’s actually trending in Brazil (#03) and we don’t even have Hulu lol

It’s the kind of mindless fun I’ve been craving for while (after binging so many intense shows during these quarantine months lol) Response on twitter looks really strong! It’s actually trending in Brazil (#03) and we don’t even have Hulu lol I don't think it's bad, and I'm not the least bit surprised that it's trending. It was always going to be popular since it fills a void that isn't being catered to. Right now, this is the only show with a queer male lead character anywhere in the Western world and it's more accessible (in terms of humour) than the only other offering, Everything's Gonna Be Okay, which is currently on hiatus until 2021. Unlike the plentiful offerings centered on queer women across mainstream and streaming networks, there is literally nothing else out there in the market for queer males except Thai BL series. I do think it could have pushed the envelope a bit, but I chalk that down to being sanitized for Disney+ during production before it was shifted to Hulu, which can definitely afford to be a bit more edgy. (We'll have to see how that works out in season 2 if it's renewed. Will they stick on the safe side with the Disney+ vibe or be more daring and take risks?) Another side-effect of Disney+ is that the tone of the whole series is inconsistent. You can tell that the show-runners were constantly worrying whether something was too risque for Disney+, but they must have already outlined the episodes and couldn't gut the plot completely so instead decided to sanitize whatever they could. You can see the changes between the pilot script and what was filmed: the original nickname for Felix was "poop dick" but they changed it to the more euphemistic "lone stone", and the scene where Andrew parades in front of Victor in boxer-briefs became much less in-your-face and covered up (he still has his shorts on). I also want to say that it's possible for a show to be happy and uplifting without necessarily being intense OR mindless. Those are both extremes and I feel like Love, Victor wants to do both and ends up with the tonal mess I feel plagued the series.

Well, I was not surprised it was trending per se, I was surprised it was trending IN Brazil where the show isn't even out lol Those changes you mentioned (Andrew in boxer-briefs, or Felix's nickname) are quite irrelevant to me personally, but I totally get what you mean and I would also love to see them pushing the envelope on season 2 with Hulu producing it... and I think it would be great to see the show becoming more "mature" as Victor gets older, more confident and "mature" himself. Hopefully It gets more seasons! I haven't watched anything other than the first episode, so I can't comment on the whole show, but the first one had a really good pace and kept me entertained and invested the whole way through. Can't wait for the rest of them!
