So, it looks like Rafe is falling for Adam's routine after all. I have to admit, I'm a little less excited about this turn of events than I have been for this storyline in the past, but I'm definitely still tuning in.

I'm still watching as well, but it seems that this story has started to go off the tracks. God only knows what will happen with P3, but from what I'm reading on various soap boards, it seems that Kish has taken away much of Y&R's thunder. And I seriously doubt they will get it back!

Never let it be said that I won't admit when I'm wrong... ;D It sure does look like Rafe is gullible and not that bright after all! Sigh.... (read...stupid dummyhead who dropped clearing his Aunt Estella like a bad rash!) However? I still frackin' LOVE Adam!!! ;D ;D ;D I'll follow this storyline with gleeful abandon and hope they smarten up Rafe.

The story hasn't ended folks. Why not let it play out and see what actually happens?

I'm sure you can all answer this question. PLEASE don't give me spoilers. I like to speculate!
This is one of the situations I feel very anxious about. I really like the interaction between Cain and Mac. I'd love to see them become friends. I'm pretty sure they'll become love interests, and that this will dispel everything I liked about them. I've seen it enough times on various shows (soap and otherwise) that I can see it coming now, and it tends to spoil my enjoyment of scenes I would normally like.

I think the actors who play Cane and Mac have some chemistry but I am not thinking TPTB are going to head down that road. At least not anytime soon, especially with Billy and Mac's epic love story part 2 just kicking in.

Here's Thursday's Phillip/Nina/Katherine/Jill clip. This was aired in Canada yesterday, Wednesday.
Clip from Party Girl: Enjoy!

I posted this elsewhere so sorry for the repeat but I just don't get the point of this story anymore.
I haven't read spoilers so I have no idea where the writers are going with this but the whole thing just seems pointless.
If the producers of Y&R just brought Philip 3 back to be screamed at by Kay, Jill, Nina (and sometimes Cane) for 6 weeks, what is the point?
Who wants to watch that?
He's not particularly sorry (and I can't say I blame him) and they aren't interested in forgiving him or understanding him.
So what is the end game? They're not going to get those 20 years back. Obviously P4 managed to grow up just fine without a dad (as millions of wonderful human beings do all the time) so what's the story?
Neither Jill, nor Kay and CERTAINLY not Nina are in a place to judge ANYBODY about bad decisions and lies that hurt people.
Each one of those women has had to be forgiven for past misdeeds a LOT WORSE than faking your own death.
If there was a list of who was the MOST evil out of the people in that living room, P3 would be at the bottom.
Nina would have probably run Philip down with a car herself had he come out to her at the time that P4 was born. SHE WAS THAT CRAZY! Jill would not have been able to deal and would have been looking for ex-gay boarding schools for colleged aged gays and Kay would have disowned him. I don't buy the liberal crap they are spouting now even one IOTA!
Regardless of how I may feel about any particular actor/actresses performance, it just feels like a storyline that has no where to go.
I know I'm supposed to side with Kay but I just find her to be THE MOST annoying of all (and I never thought anyone would annoy me more than Nina)
As far as I can see, the only person Philip 3 "owes" anything to is Philip 4 and I really hope they focus on THAT relationship because I have to say I'm with Philip 3 on the fact that Nina, Jill and Kay haven't changed one bit in the way they want to control and manipulate folks.
Nina can't even let her soon go to the kitchen with 87 heavy sighs. The man has survived Iraq, he can deal with is father coming back (or should be able to)

I was really looking forward to the P3 story, but so far it seems to be a bust! It's still early, so I'm hoping it will get better..... Rafe's story just isn't doing it for me anymore. I find it very amusing that Nelson Branco was posting at various message boards that people won't be disappointed in it. Now that they are, he is posting that Gellman is a "child", and is not making this "romance" with Adam believable. Go ahead, recast Yani, and I'm still not going to like this story. Why they don't want to write for this character is beyond me. Maybe if they can get an "older" Latino actor, they will. Riiiiight

I find really unfair all the comments of Nelson Branco (and he is not the only one) about a recast of Rafe. Yani has the right age for the character (is new Adam the one older than he is supposed to be), and even i can't say that i was impressed with his acting, the truth is that his last scenes are far better than the first time that they had sex. When it comes to gay storylines Nelson Branco seems to have high expectitions and when the storyline doesn't match with his expectations he doesn't react well. He blame Jake Silbermann of absolutely all he dislike on ATWT, and with Yani it seems it be even worse (at least he never ask the recast of Noah). Right now he is fully supportive on the OLTL gay storyline, because Kish will have a great kiss, nothing to do with Otalia, Nuke or Rafe-Adam. But when the kiss will be on air, if he is not satisfied, he probably will ask the head of Scott Evans

Nelson Branco can be a little bit hard something, ITA with that. I don't think that Yani is that bad. Maybe he just needs his time to actually get in the role. And this whole scheme from Adam didn't make it easy for him to react in the right way. Maybe it wasn't the best point to start a gay storyline. It must be very difficult to play a character that suspects the guy - he obviously has a crush on - for one minute that he framed his aunt and in the next minute sleeps with him.
But I agree Yani's acting is growing on me too and I wouldn't always scream for a recast, when an actor can bring his A game. Give them time. That doesn't only includes him, but for example also Clementine Ford, who got bashed before she even appeared on-screen.

Okie. Now I've finally catched up with the latest clips. It seems like people are more concern with Rafe & Adam's storyline than with Phillip 3's story and I can understand why. I felt that the way they handle Phillip 3's story is very 'meh'. Everything just after Phillip 3's return is kinda painful to watch. It could have been good way to show all the agony from the characters. But all I get is plain talk and kinda forced emotions by the characters. I'm not convinced at all. Only the actress playing Nina did a great job. I just wish they could quickly do away with the constant drilling of questions. It's like the previous clips are just showing them circling around Phillip 3's decisions to fake death and in my opinion is kinda repetitive. But thank god, Chance is back. At least we can see more other things like how Philips 3 patch back his relationship with Chance. I just hope Nina will be around coz she is the only one worth watching due to her better acting skills.
And back to Adam and Rafe's storyline. I've always have a question about Adam's supposed blindness. Is he really blind? Or is he faking his blindness. I've read that he has injected some drug into his eyes to lose his vision. But is it temporary (ie. he only does the injections time-to-time to appear blind) or is he really blind (ie. cannot see a thing at all)? Sometimes he looks like he has a hard time with his vision and sometimes he does not. It's like he can navigate the place with so much ease and it looks very unbelievable. Or is his vision just blurry? I'm totally confused.

Okay, settle in, this is a long explanation.
While Adam was in prison for an unrelated scheme against Victor, he got the idea to fake the debilitating eye disease his mother had, in order to get transferred to house arrest, both to escape prison and get access to Victor for more shenanigans. He injected Botox into his eyes to fake the disease.
Recently, when Victor had a new doctor brought in, Adam couldn't get the botox to inject, so he expected to be exposed. But it turns out that he really has developed his mother's disease, but he didn't notice it, because the botox was making him blind anyway. The injections have nothing to do with causing his real blindness, but ironically, the damage they did to his eyes keep him from getting the surgery that could have saved his sight. He had to come up with a bizarre story about being stabbed in the eyes in prison to explain the injection marks.
So, it started off fake, but has become real. It may be better than he's been playing it, though, since he hasn't had the disease as long as he's claimed.

Today's Adam and Rafe stuff thanks to PartyGirl045. What is Adam going to do now? Since Daddy Victor supports his big "gay" son!

I can't believe how fast this story is moving. We barely know Rafe, we barely ever saw him in a relationship with Adam, we don't know how he truly sees Adam. So him saying Adam "uses" people was a bit out of left field, since not long ago he believed Adam was struggling with being gay.
I feel sorry for Yani. He doesn't seem to have a character to play.

re: Rafe, I think he was just a prop in this story, which is Adam's story. And I'm immensely entertained by Adam so far....
Hopefully Rafe will be used in his own storyline soon.
