The final is incredibly lazy and insatisfactory for Ian. It's a fan pleaser (at least they don't go the f*** you that ATWT writers give to Luke fans) but not exactly good. Of course their relationship was not exactly sane by any means and it worked well due to the amazing chemistry between the actors

Ian and Mickey weren't in the first episode and I can't all the clips from episode 2.
Episode 2: ps. despite how the video ends, the scene does not end so happy, because mayo is gross.
Episode 3:

Ian can't keep putting Mickey through that. If he proposed to him he should've stood by it. I'd loved to have a guy like Mickey as my husband. I know through it all he will have my back and for him to actually say yes to Ian is a big step for him as he has come a long way from laying on the floor of Cash's store with a bullet in his leg.

The actors have so much chemistry that it's easy to forget that their relationship it totally disfunctional and violent

All of the relationships on this show have been at one point or another violent and or dysfunctional. Ian and Mickey aren't unique in that category. Why Ian changing his mind at the last moment bothers me so much is because he hasn't ever really taken into consideration how incredibly far Mickey has come or how far Mickey is willing to go for him. Ian tends to forget that most of the sacrifices that have been made for the relationship have been Mickey's and have come at a high price to Mickey. And while Ian comes from a very dysfunctional home he has also experienced a fair amount of love, especially from his siblings. Mickey's home life was not just dysfunctional, it was violent. Ian's coming out was pretty much universally accepted in his family. Mickey's coming out (first when his father caught him and Ian together and second when Ian forced him to come out by giving him an ultimatum) where extremely violent. Ian more than anyone should know what it has taken for Mickey to accept himself and thus should have known what it meant for Mickey to say yes to marriage.

Unexpected but very welcome news. I thought with the Covid delays to filming they wouldn't premiere until next summer.

Romance Men to Men Love uploaded clips from the last 2 episodes (see link in post above). I cannot believe this wacky little show has finally ended.

That was an interesting juxtaposition in the ending - Ian and Mickey's first anniversary and Frank's death. I liked Mickey's progression in those last couple of episodes - he has really grown up since marrying Ian. Ian kept hinting at the date in the last episode - I actually was pleasantly surprised that Mickey was thoughtful enough to have a) remembered the date and b) had set up a surprise party.
I did find it amusing that when Lip figured out the amount each sibling would get from the sale of the house, he clearly forgot about Fiona, as he only split it 5 ways instead of 6.
