I would KILL to see Officer Tony back (especially if he gets naked - we were robbed in his original run).
I thought Ian's scene this week with Kevin exploring his sexuality missed a golden opportunity. Who can forget Ian ogling a full-frontal naked Kevin in the pilot? This season has been a wash-out for Ian's love life sadly. I don't have an issue with his love interest being transgender, but is that why they've made their intimate scenes less revealing? He's been naked with all his past boyfriends/flings, but not with Trev. What gives?

Yes this season has been terrible for Ian, and for the show in general. I wonder what the ratings were like. I can't help thinking Ian's love life has been limited by pairing him with a transgender character. He had more sexy times with a freakin' woman last season than with Trevor.

I'm still not exactly sure how a gay man can be attracted to a trans male I can understand it. Ian's attracted to men, and Trevor has evidently transitioned to a man. There is only one part of the anatomy for which gender confirmation surgery can't do a lot - but this presumably is less important to Ian since he's always been portrayed as a top. (I had to wrack my brains trying to phrase that sentence without being crude, LOL!) What I could not comprehend (and would think should offend the trans community) was the idea that, since Ian is now attracted to a transgender man who was born biologically female, he would be curious to explore sex with a woman - to the point of performing oral sex on her. Un-freaking-believable. And they actually went full throttle with that - showing Ian naked for that scene, but not in any of his multiple love scenes with Trevor. If they want us to buy Ian's relationship with Trevor as equally intimate and passionate as Ian's earlier relationships with cisgender gay men, they should not set the bar lower for depicting intimacy between them. I don't imagine Cameron Monaghan, who has done nude scenes on the show since he turned 18 and as recently as last year (abovementioned sex with a woman), would refuse to specifically in the context of Ian's relationship with a trans man. It is a promising sign that ratings are higher (thanks for that info, scmian) - although for the life of me I can't figure out what fueled the uptick given that nearly every character had a terrible storyline - because that makes it more likely they'll get one more season (at least) out of the show. Hopefully they will use it to improve the quality of storytelling. |

Ian came from a total dysfunctional relationship with Mickey. He seems to need someone way more hardcore than Trevor(and i agree, Trevor deserves better)

Not happy how they "ended" Ian's storyline but he's reunited with Mickey, so it could have been worse I guess  Still not enough Noel Fisher on my screen though! |
