Oh my God! The last episode with Mickey looking at Clay's ass in the shower and the scene in the urinal were sweet. Plus the thing with Clay and Ian (who must have his memory back) on the internet and the final confrontation and resolution with Mickey and Clay were excellent.

Just watched the last episode, and I LOVED it! It was such a great episode! I loved the deaf kid, and I loved the fact that Ian went from hating the kid to bonding with him. I knew he liked him deep down! Haha Oh, and the party scene and the shower scene right after was not bad either

Nice juxtaposition, Monica left her own kids (again) because she felt trapped taking care for them and Ian could not walk away from a kid he met only a few hours ago. For him being needed wasn't such a burden. I wonder if Danny stays for longer or if they let him go with his new guardian. I'd like him to stay

I did a nice mini-marathon of Shameless episodes this weekend.
Mickey and his quest for love CONTINUES to break my heart. I didn't know that his current ex was a cop.
I'm not sure what's going to develop for Ian and his new ward, but I do like the fact that Ian's continuing to enjoy himself as a single man.
I don't think that Ian and Mickey should get back together. I hope that the writers will allow them to be friends, who had a previous relationship with each other to continue on the show.

From the June 9th Gays of Our Lives column at AfterElton.com: Good news! While there had been some concern that season seven of C4’s Shameless would be slashed from 16 to 8 due to network mandated budget cuts, show producers worked things out with the network, and there will be 16 episodes filmed as originally planned. Shooting for the upcoming season is under way and will air later this year. And what’s ahead for Mickey (Ciaran Griffiths) and Ian (Gerald Kearns) when the new season begins? Mickey and Ian enter a new phase in their relationship when they decide to live together. But, will it be as friends or lovers? www.afterelton.com/TV/gayslives/06-09-09?page=0%2C9

Shameless update: www.afterelton.com/TV/gayslives/08-11-09?page=0%2C10 Shameless, well known for its raunchy and provocative storylines, is about to embark on its naughtiest one to date.
In the series’ upcoming seventh season, Mickey Maguire (Ciaran Griffiths) and his brothers will become gigolos when a brothel owner, played by Martina Laird, sets up shop in the neighborhood and sets out to convince the Maguire men to come work for her.
Eldest brother Jamie will be the first to try his hand at putting his wares up for sale, with Mickey and his brothers following suit as the season progresses. Sources say that the scenes that result from this storyline will the most outrageous and shocking to date.

Shameless update: Shameless does Trainspotting? Yep.
The scandalous BBC TV series, which is already planning a plot arc that has gay Mickey Maguire, played by Ciaran Griffiths, and his on screen brothers turning into gigolos for the new brothel in town, is going to further up the outrageousness by doing an homage to cult film Trainspotting.
Griffiths and his on screen father Paddy, played by Sean Gilder, went on location near a canal in the U.K. waterside city of Sale to shoot the sequences. The series, which is currently filming its seventh season, is being hush-hush about the details of the episode, which will be the eighth episode of the new season. Shameless is set to debut its new season later this year. The show has used Sale for location shoots several times before.www.afterelton.com/TV/gayslives/09-22-09?page=0%2C14

Shameless update from Anthony D. Langford's GOOL column today: Good news for Shameless fans! The U.K. series about a dysfunctional family living in Manchester, England, is about to start its 7th season of 16 episodes next month. But the even better news is that the series has already been renewed for an 8th season and will have its episode order upped to 22, the first time that Channel 4 has given any show a 22-episode order. The 8th season will air in 2011. Paul Abbott, the creator of the series, was excited about the renewal, telling the Manchester Evening News: After eight years of working on this show, you’d think I’d be sick of the sight of it by now, but I am thrilled. It has fired me up even more and already has inspired a thousand new ideas to try experimenting with. I genuinely love the idea of us taking Shameless further. Shameless is the show I’m most proud of being associated with. There has never been, and still isn’t, anything remotely like it.” Camilla Campbell, head of Channel 4, said the reason for the renewal and the large episode order is simple. “Shameless is truly a one-off. It’s very difficult to find a hit series, but Shameless has consistently grown audience from year to year and remains as popular as ever with fans. We are immensely proud of it at Channel 4 and so I am delighted to further back Paul Abbott and the creative team behind the show.” www.afterelton.com/TV/gayslives/12-08-09?page=0%2C15

I just caught an episode of this show on Sundance a few days ago, and really enjoyed it. It seems like a British Desperate Housewives, though I think it came first. By British I don't just mean by and in Britain, but mixed with a British sensibility, hence the darker tone, working class setting, etc. So those are all things that are quite different than DH, but the sense of "heightened reality" is very similar. The ep I saw featured a guy choking on a cashew and owing another character his life, a pet snake eating the mother's dog, and several other plots whose deliberate unreality wouldn't be out of place on DH.
I'll keep watching. And I'm acquiring (ahem) older eps, although I'm starting with the season Mickey joined the cast, since Mickey and Ian seem to be The Gay Couple. I'll watch the older ones eventually.

Love this show. I’m happy it got already renewed. Is anyone uploading the Shameless gay storyline? I'm sure I can do it.. I just have to know which episodes are gay themed, so I don't have to look through them all! lol. I can’t really help you with this, but when I started watching the series I wanted to see the Ian and Mickey episodes first so I read the short episode summaries on Wikipedia first. Maybe it helps a bit knowing which episodes are gay. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Shameless_episodesWould be great if somebody could upload the gay happenings from the show

I've seen all of the first 6 seasons and I recommend folks go back before Mickey and Ian because Ian's first relationship is pivitol and for a while there he was the only gay character. It's pretty fantastic. I'm still crying about the one relationship I wished for Ian. Sigh... Excellent show all around.
