Scene 1: In front of the old hotel

Lucy is taking pictures of Carsten
Lucy: “Please point a finger at the hotel now and smile…. and think about Lenny.”
Carsten: “I don’t know, Lucy but I think of something else when I think of everyday situations. Or are you standing on the sidewalk grinning like the assistant* on a game show every day… in the rain?” [/li][li][/i]
Lucy: “I can photograph you drinking a tea in front of the Spätkauf for the hundredth time but I think it won’t be a very varied photographic album then!”
Carsten: “Sorry. I’m just annoyed because of my stupid stunt with the ball.”
He sighs then starts smiling for the camera
Carsten: “Better now?”
Lucy: “Much better!”
Her phone rings
Lucy: “Hello, no we haven’t forgotten about the briefing. (to Carsten) It’s my dad.”
Carsten: “Ask him if Gerner’s there!”
Lucy: “(to her father) Yes, that was Carsten. (to Carsten) Gerner will come. (to her dad) Okay, see you. Bye. (to Carsten who has started to rush to the meeting) Carsten, where are you going now?”
Carsten: “Where do you think? Talking to Gerner, maybe he can still do something about the contact ban.”


Scene 2: After the briefing
Carsten: “Doktor Gerner? About the contact ban- have you already achieved something? Can I at least phone Lenny?”

Carsten: “I’ve been better. Well, I’ve messed things up big time and got a contact ban with Lenny. I’m not allowed to visit him for three months now.”

Carsten: “Don’t you have a “renovation-date”?”
Nick: “Naa, tomorrow will be time enough. I just have to get my tools.”
Carsten: “Then… later at my place?” [he really feels at home at the Cöster’s, good for him]
Nick: “Perfect! See you later.”
Carsten: “Bye!”


Scene 4: In the kitchen
Carsten: “Rules are rules. Whether I threw the tennis ball to smuggle a letter or to smuggle drugs doesn’t make a difference.”

Lucy (to Carsten): “I could wait for you forever in the office then. Here, the photos for Lenny’s photo diary.”
Nick: “Photo diary? Are you making something for him?”
Carsten (nodding): “So he can always have me with him. But don’t tell anyone- I have a reputation to lose!”
Nick: “As what? As whiny snitch?”
Carsten: “They are really beautiful!”

Scene 5: Lucy’s bedroom

Gerner: “Herr Reimann…”
Carsten: “I demand of you to do all you can so that I can visit Lenny again.”

Gerner (sarcastically): “So, you do that?”

Well, they use so much slang in GZSZ it's impossible to know it all.

Here are the missing sentences with little explanations.

- Hurry up! (Slang: Mach hinne ) Or your mother has to wait for us.

- I think he's also very kind. (She says "finde" as in "ich finde" here. Sounds a lot like "Fülle" though.)

- And if not you'll just date the next one. ("Dann datest du halt den nächsten". Yes, we use a lot of English verbs in slang: chillen, shoppen, gamen, ...)

- Excellent lyrics. (in German we call them "songtext" (or text in short), another pseudo-english word, but in English it's "lyrics")

- I bet you were a huge celebrity in the gothic scene with these beautiful dark eyes. Well, at some point it was enough for me with that goth-thing. Maybe because I found something different which suited me better.
(That one was difficult. He really says a lot here in a short time. That’s the whole sentence: Du warst bestimmt total angesagt in der Szene mit diesen hübschen dunklen Augen.
