Luckily I read the spoilers, if not I'm going to blast Christian as I thought he is going to stop the wedding. So it's almost confirmed that Christian is not going to wreck the wedding? I am hoping he will not coz I don't want see Christian as a bitter and revengeful person. Although Syed has been mind-tricking him times after times, but I don't think it is wise of him to wreck Syed's wedding even though Syed deserved it. I would like to see Syed suffers and not be able to keep on pretending rather than having Syed to hate Christian because Christian outed him in front of everyone.
Although I'm still not keen that Christian actually leaked out the affair to Zainab, but I guess since Zainab is very cautious of her image and reputation, she would not let the wedding get delayed at the very last minute. So it's interesting to see how things play out.

I am happy that Christian did not leave Albert Square and it looks like on Monday Zainab will continue to torment him that Syed chose his family/Amira over him.

Do you think Christian will walk away from the business? I mean, it will be pretty much impossible for him to continue working there, especially since, as you say, Zainab will be tormenting him about Syed's decision to marry Amira. With Jane finding out that Zainab knows (I think she started to figure that out at the wedding, actually), tensions will be running especially high. I ask because there are no mentions of Christian in the spoilers for a long while. I bet that he will leave for a trip or something, as characters in Eastenders tend to do after high points in storylines.

I was thinking that Zainab might try to push him out of the business, but you make a good point that maybe Christian might walk away instead. I was thinking Zainab might try to push him out because she's afraid that Christian being around would be a continual temptation for Syed (she talked about temptation with Syed, after all). But because of the pain of being around, Christian probably wouldn't object to finding new work. Perhaps it will be mutual . I also wonder how long it will take Christian before he tries to move on, or whether he'll try to pressure Syed into breaking with Amira first.

I was actually pleasantly surprised that Christian went back to the square after the wedding. I thought that he might take off again. I hope he stays around the Walford but think that he will try to keep his his distance from Syed. I am sure Zainab will try to push him out of the business but she better not push too much or more people will find out about his relationship with Syed and I think that is what she fears most.

I also wonder how long it will take Christian before he tries to move on, or whether he'll try to pressure Syed into breaking with Amira first. I doubt that Christian will attempt to pursue Syed again. Every indication from John and Marc is that they are starting on "Act 2," which is going to focus on Syed's relationship with Amira. The goal seems to be to nudge Syed towards being true to himself--and that's something that he has to come to on his own. It wouldn't work if Christian kept coming back to him again and again and again--besides, that would validate some of the horrible things that Zainab said during their confrontation.

I don't think Christian will pursue Syed either, and will instead try to keep his distance, trying to move on. I want to see Syed struggle with his decision and show that he can't just decide to live a life as heterosexual without some consequences. I want him to realize that he cannot just chose to gay or straight but it is the way he is.

Yeah, you guys are probably right. Christian will probably just try to move on, and leave Syed to deal with the consequences of his choices. It didn't take Christian long to quit, though, so I wonder what he'll do next.

Well, I didn't see Amira's infidelity coming. It'll be interesting to see how she handles it, and how it will be shown compared to Syed's infidelity. So many possibilities...

If we could decide who we loved, it would be much simpler, but less magical.

I actually want Christian to heal away from Syed while Syed grows up and comes to grip with what he really wants.

Hey Cheerios : ) I actually agree when Syed returns I don't want things to go back to the way they were with Syed and Christian sneaking around. I want Syed to recognize who exactly it is that he has lost, how the choice that he made has truly affected his life and what is in his heart. For Christian I want him to be able to not forget about Syed, but still be able to have dates and make connections with other men, I don't want his life to surround Syed at all times.

They definitely need time apart. Christian needs to try to get over Syed and move on. Syed needs to deal with the consequences of his decisions and decide what's most important in his life. Am I unique in how I view the phase of the story that's beginning? Sometimes I can't tell where other people are coming from . Here's what I think: Syed knows that he loves Christian, and I think part of him wants it so much. But he chose to make other things more important than his love for Christian. Right now he thinks (mistakenly, in my opinion) that he can make a happy life with Amira. When that doesn't happen (my assumption), he will begin to seriously question his priorities and understand the consequences of his choices. Only then will he consider that finding that happiness requires that he be true (and open) about who he is. But by then he will have dug himself in so deeply that he won't be able to get out easily. What do you all think?

I think Syed may feel like an outsider in his own life but until he is ready to accept and be true to who he is things won't change.

I totally didn't see that twist coming. Amira having a secret affair. Wow. Interesting. But will this make Syed less guilty once he finds out about it? I just hope that if Syed decided to come out, at least Amira still has this guy to be with her. But the problem is, I find this new guy a little shady given his background. And another new guy for Christian? Hmmm... Why not bring James back? He's ADORABLE!!

I believe all of the above is likely correct. However, I'm concerned we might be missing the pivotal issue; ie. why did Amira consent to this secret liaison. Certainly there was nothing in the story line prior to the wedding which would suggest she would be anything but completely faithful. Soooo.....what's happened since. Perhaps NOTHING? Meaning perhaps she's not getting the intimacy (and sexual satisfaction) that a new bride could and should expect. I suspect the entire charade began to unravel on the wedding night. I think Syed would be happy to have a wife in name, but never wish to share her bed. He likely would be willing to spend his whole life masquerading as straight. The writers need someone or something to force the issue......Amira and her possible infidelity?

maybe as more time goes by, Syed will grow resentful of Amira and show his mean side. She will start to question if there is something she did to cause him to act this way and will seek comfort in this new guy.

From an article I read on Digital Spy Forum it's revelead that for now it's not a relationship but just a kiss which she immediately feels guilty about and confess it to Syed soon. The reason why she kiss this guy is because she feels rejected by Syed as apparentely they still have to consummate their marriage.

Thanks for the new spoilers! That's interesting ... Amira will be leaving, probably this summer. I suppose that means the marriage story will continue until then (or shortly before then). At least that gives us a time frame for either final closure, or something ... explosive .

Hmmm. Okie, the new detailed spoilers explained it all. So it's merely a kiss with Danny. I thought it's going to be something more scandalous. But I guess since the actress portraying Amira is leaving, I think they can't fully explore that.
I can't imagine the actress portraying Amira is leaving coz I really like her. I hope Marc will stay if not how is the ending going to be explosive if Marc leaves too? Unless,
1) Syed breaks off with Amira and leaves the town alone 2) Syed commits suicide (I hope it doesn't end up like this)
I doubt Syed leaving together with Amira will be a good ending. And Syed being with Christian doesn't seem like an explosive ending either. I think it's going to be an open ended ending which in my opinion SUCKS!! Hahahha.
