I'm soooo excited for this new storyline! It looks so juicy! A 19 year old hooking up with a 33 year old! Wonder if they found inspiration from a real life gay couple though? Sorta like art imitating life?  The 19 year old is pretty cute too (I feel like a perv saying this though.. being in my mid-twenties and all, lol). |

I glad that they are having Johnny come out so quickly,I know that coming out is still very important but it have been done over and over again.
It looks like the father will be more accepting than the mother.
While I like the all Carters so far but I feel the mother's constant quarreling can become very tiresome quickly.

I'm happy that they don't keep him in the closet and drag the coming out storyline on for ever as well. He already made out with Danny!  I'm not sure Johnny's really out yet though. I don't think he's really come to terms with everything yet himself... but I guess we'll see later today. I really hope they give Johnny some great storylines. Does anyone know if they'll be pairing Johnny with Danny? I think it could be fun if they did. And after seeing Johnny's mother reacting the way she did towards his sister's almost husband, I don't think Johnny would be taking Danny home to meet his parents in the nearest future.  And who doesn't love Danny Dyer?! I really like his character already. And Danny in a pink robe? Rawrrr!  And I'm happy that his character is going to be accepting of his son - that is awesome! |

Well, two months down the line and Johnny/Whitney is still a possibility in Whitney's own mind, so why shouldn't it be in Linda's? Sigh. I don't even like the character of Whitney for the most part but she's been fairly likable since she came into Johnny's orbit and now they've to ruin her like this. Can we please cast a male love interest for Johnny so that all these pathetic women can get it into their heads that he is GAY GAY GAY!

So show an uncomplicated, carefree and lighthearted encounter"... as opposed to the dark, melancholic stuff Eastenders do a lot of - and I've no doubt that with Ben's return, it ain't looking like a bright future for Johnny, considering Ben's baggage... |

Harry Reid wants Ben to be involved in Lucy's murder storyline. Ben and Jay are certainly acting dodgy, so they must have some level of involvement, but I hope neither one is revealed as Lucy's killer. It's bad enough that Ben murdered Heather; having him kill again (and his own niece no less) would destroy any hope for the character.
I really hope (pure speculation) there will be a Ben-Johnny hookup. It's time for some gay romance, damn it! Johnny's aunt/grandma Shirley should return in time to find him in bed with Ben.

I agree that they have been acting weirdly -- the scene during the fire where the two of them tried to avoid the police for example.

About Johnny/Ben, Ben was in prison for some time so he definitely wants some action and he likes Johnny's appearance. But he's busy at the moment plus they clashed already so either nothing happens or it will be rapid and steamy Harry Reid wants Ben to be involved in Lucy's murder storyline. I don't think either of them killed Lucy, they were busy with something else (robbery). They're probably covering for real murderer (maybe he/she spotted them in the act). Would Ben kill his niece? Sam Strike reveals that Johnny "helps Ben come to terms with his sexuality" but indicates any attraction is one-sided. ( I thought Ben had already come to terms with his sexuality) That's what I thought as well. He "tried" a boy, he came out already. I thought you do the latter one when you're sure and comfortable about it. |
