Monday, September 5:

Syed and Christian discuss getting in touch with Amira regarding the divorce. Christian considers asking Yusef for Amira's medical records so that they can trace her, but Syed quickly dismisses the idea. Instead, Syed offers to meet with Amira's father Qadim, but Christian forbids him from doing so.

Tuesday, September 6:

Syed tells Zainab about his plans to find Amira. Zainab is terrified when Syed reveals that he is going to see Qadim. Yusef interrupts them, wondering what Syed has done to upset his mother. Christian overhears them talking and is angry when Syed confirms his plans to see Qadim. Once Christian and Syed are out of earshot, Yusef offers to help Zainab - telling her he is also against the idea of Christian and Syed getting married. Yusef reveals he wants to find Amira before deciding on his next move. Yusef later visits Qadim, and although met with a frosty reception, Qadim is intrigued when Yusef reveals his true intentions to double-cross Christian and Syed.

Elsewhere, Christian and Tyler train in the Square ahead of Tyler's fight.

Thursday, September 8:

Yusef tells Syed and Christian he met with Qadim and to expect Amira to get in touch. Zainab overhears the conversation and confronts Yusef, who apologises for interfering. Masood is angry with Syed for going to Yusef, but Syed defends himself, saying he isn't happy with Yusef but is desperate for a result. Back at the house, Zainab is shocked to receive a phone call from Amira. While keeping the call secret, Zainab later asks Masood whether she should tell Syed if she hears anything. Masood says they want Syed to be happy and should let him divorce Amira. Yusef finds Zainab to apologise for earlier and invite her to a drinks function. He encourages Zainab to destroy Amira's phone number and not tell Syed - but later picks the number out of the bin himself.

Friday, September 9:

Yusef persuades Zainab to go to the drinks reception with him. Once there, one of the other doctor's wives assumes Zainab is married to Yusef and Zainab doesn't correct her. Surprised, Yusef reassures an embarrassed Zainab that he is flattered. They put on a convincing show for the other guests and Zainab thanks Yusef for taking her away from the Square for a while. Is she falling for his charms?

Phil mocks Ben's attempts at boxing and arranges for him to spar with Duncan, one of Jay's friends. But Ben soon realizes that he is interested in Duncan as more than a boxing partner.

Syed and Tamwar are angry at their father when they realise what he has done and encourage him to talk to their mother.

Meanwhile, Ben panics when he thinks Patrick is about to reveal his secret. Fearful of admitting the truth to his father, Ben takes matters into his own hands.

The fallout from Ben's lies reverberates around the Square, leading to Patrick losing his job and Phil being accused of racism.

Tuesday, September 20:

Zainab invites Yusef over for dinner that evening. However, she becomes unnerved when a doctor she met at the convention, who believes she is married to Yusef, appears at the Minute Mart. Realising her relationship with Yusef is wrong, Zainab cancels their dinner plans. Yusef later leaves the surgery and hands Christian a Sherwani brochure, claiming he found it in the flat. Syed passes Christian reading the magazine in the gardens, and as they flick through, a scrap of paper falls out with Zainab's shopping list and Amira's phone number. A nervous Syed calls the number but gets through to Qadim, who says he doesn't know where Amira is. Syed confronts Zainab, who is confused about how he got the number. Syed is furious that Zainab withheld information from him.

Thursday, September 22:

At the Masoods', Zainab wakes up late for work. She bumps into Syed, who is still furious with her and later deletes her number from his phone. Tamwar confronts Zainab about hiding Amira's number and tells her she can't control everyone. Zainab later finds Yusef and tells him she's sure she threw the number away but he manipulates her into thinking she must be mistaken. She decides to come off the pills as they are clouding her mind. Visiting Zainab at home, Yusef offers her a different set of pills but she refuses, wanting to stop taking them completely. He secretly crushes up the pills and puts them in her food. After dinner, Zainab collapses on the sofa, unconscious, Yusef kisses her before placing the pill bottle in her hand and leaving the house. Will Zainab survive?

Elsewhere, Ben asks Christian to train him, wanting to improve his boxing and impress Phil. As they train together, Christian notes Ben has a lot of anger to let out. Ben says he just wants to look the part, but is he covering for something more?

Friday, September 23:

Ben emerges from the gym, exhausted following his training session with Christian. When Phil mocks Christian, Ben becomes annoyed. Phil later tells Ben that he has arranged for him to spar with Jay's friend Duncan. As they spar together at the gym, Duncan encourages Ben to look into the eyes of his opponent. Meeting Duncan's gaze, Ben blushes. Later, Duncan helps Ben remove the bandages used under his gloves. After a moment's hesitation, Ben leans forward and kisses Duncan before pulling away. Duncan returns the kiss and Ben goes home, pleased.

Tanya, Rainie and Cora look after Kamil as the Masood family goes to the hospital. They discuss the shock of seeing Zainab unconscious and they consider how awful it is to lose your mother.

Monday, September 26:

Bringing Zainab home, Syed wants to get to the bottom of what happened but she refuses to talk about it. Frustrated, he leaves her alone, bumping into Yusef who suggests that he could try getting Zainab to open up himself. However Syed insists that he will discover the truth on his own. After talking to Christian, Syed heads to the surgery to try and find out what medication she was taking, but Yusef fobs him off, persuading him that Zainab's overdose must be down to stress. Returning to Zainab, Syed asks if she tried to kill herself. She is appalled at the suggestion, but admits that she can't remember what happened. Syed and Tamwar eventually seek help from Masood, telling him what really happened. Angry at not being informed before, Masood goes to see Zainab.

Yusef arrives at the Masoods' house, where he stops Zainab from talking about her memories of the night before, telling her he should never have left her alone. She vows to sort out her priorities, putting her family first from now on. Masood turns up and Yusef is worried when Zainab asks to be alone with her husband. She apologises to Masood for causing so much hurt and he admits he regrets not acting sooner. Repeating 'Talaq' three times, and with both in tears, Masood divorces his wife.

Meanwhile, Ben bunks off school to meet Duncan. Spotting Phil, they hide from him in the Vic alleyway where they end up kissing. Ben is horrified to realise Patrick saw them and threatens him not to say anything. Patrick reassures him, but Ben panics when he sees Patrick talking to Phil later. When Patrick is at home with Denise, a brick is hurled through the B&B window. No one else sees the culprit but Patrick spots Ben as he runs off.

Tuesday, September 27:

Ben panics that his secret has been found out when Phil confronts him about Duncan, but Phil is only referring to them skipping school. Patrick finds Ben to demand £100 for the broken window or he will have to tell Phil. Ben tries to get a loan from Heather before trying to steal the money from the Arches, but he is thwarted each time by Phil, who is left thinking Ben is being bullied again. Unable to get the money, Ben locks himself and Patrick in the Minute Mart. Patrick promises to keep quiet, but Ben destroys the shop.

Patrick realises that Ben is scared of Phil and tries to convince him that Shirley and Heather would be there for him. They each talk about their families, but Ben becomes angry, calling Patrick a hypocrite. He goads him until Patrick loses his temper. Phil arrives, demanding to know what's going on, but Patrick refuses to say in an attempt to protect Ben. Phil threatens Patrick and insists he apologise to his son.

At the B&B, Tamwar and Syed are stunned that their parents are divorcing. Masood defends himself, saying that the divorce is the best thing for Zainab and reassuring them he will not abandon his children. Tamwar is still angry though and encourages Masood to speak to his wife. Masood goes to the house but is shocked to find Yusef there and Zainab not wearing her wedding ring. Masood leaves and tells Tamwar he is too late.

Thursday, September 29:

Patrick resolves to stand tall against Phil's intimidation, despite being banned from the cafe for refusing to apologise. In the Vic, Denise wants to know what's going on but they are interrupted by Alfie, who has been forced by Phil to sack Patrick. Denise confronts Phil, who announces to the pub that Patrick tried to hurt Ben, to general disbelief. An argument breaks out and attention turns towards a silent Ben. Denise accuses Phil of being racist. Back at the B&B, Patrick refuses to answer Denise's questions. Ben asks why Patrick won't just apologise but Patrick insists he needs to keep his dignity. Once Ben has left, Patrick considers backing down but Denise, still believing Phil to be racist, tells him to stay strong.

Heather decides to move out in support of Patrick, though Ben pleads with her not to. She goes to stay at the B&B, telling Patrick to stand firm. Ben meanwhile looks forward to seeing Duncan, but Duncan confronts him over the Patrick situation and later rejects him, telling Ben that their kiss meant nothing. He leaves for another gym and Ben is devastated. Wanting to tell Phil the truth, he is unable to find the courage.

Friday, October 7:

Zainab agrees to go out for dinner with Yusef but soon becomes uncomfortable with the idea after Patrick suggests it "sounds like a date." Zainab later cancels her plans with Yusef. Disappointed, Yusef meets Afia who agrees to join him and Zainab for a take away at the house instead. Over dinner, Yusef drops the bombshell that he is considering moving back to Pakistan as there is the opportunity of a job there for him.

Monday, October 10:

Masood worries about Zainab. Later, when Yusef meets up with Amira, he discovers a shocking secret.

Tuesday, October 11:

Yusef tries to keep Amira away from the Masoods--but she has other plans when she arrives back onto the Square.

Thursday, October 13:

Syed is shocked when he finds out that Amira is back on the Square--but what does she have to tell him?

Meanwhile, worried that Zainab will find out that Amira has returned, Yusef tries to convince her to go with him on holiday to Pakistan. Will Zainab go?

Syed goes to spend some time with his daughter, but with Amira being adamant that Christian is to have no contact with her, Syed is forced to keep his visit a secret.

Monday 10 October
Roxy is horrified to discover Janine now owns her flat and is out to make her life miserable. She persuades Christian to throw a surprise flatwarming party for Syed to cheer her up. Yusef overhears and convinces Christian it would be a good idea. As Syed helps Zainab out with flyers for the stall, Christian suggests to her that she visits the new flat. But Zainab pretends not to hear him, blaming her deafness on Christian’s loud music. At the house, Yusef hears a message from Amira asking why Zainab is avoiding her calls. Yusef questions Zainab, who admits she doesn’t want the divorce to go ahead. He agrees not to tell Syed, but later calls Amira himself. Meeting up with Amira, he is shocked to find her with baby Yasmin, Syed’s daughter.
Denise and Masood are concerned about Zainab’s state of mind. Denise tries to reason with her, but they end up arguing and Denise loudly mentions the ‘suicide attempt’. Mortified, Zainab runs to Yusef. He takes advantage of her frantic state to get her to admit she wants him to stay in Walford, and hugs her in triumph as she cries. (Walford Web)

Tuesday 11 October
Yusef is anxious to stop the Masoods from finding out about Yasmin, telling Amira that he will stop Syed from pressing for a divorce. At the house, he tries to persuade Zainab to come with him to Pakistan but the suggestion makes her angry. They argue and Zainab throws him out. Bushra later visits Zainab at Yusef’s suggestion, and tells her that the relationship is being gossiped about. Zainab is grateful when Yusef comes to her defence. As Bushra leaves, she is shocked and gleeful to see Syed and Christian kissing – but is left reeling when Zainab slaps her for calling Syed ‘sick’. Bushra storms off and Zainab returns to the house, followed by Yusef. Shaking with rage, Zainab suddenly finds herself passionately kissing Yusef.
Meanwhile, Syed and Christian discuss marriage, trying out the word ‘hubby’. Once Syed has gone, Christian and Roxy discuss the surprise party, but Christian starts to have doubts when Tamwar advises against it. However, Fatboy has already accidentally let slip to Syed. Furious, Syed turns up at the party in the belief that Christian is trying to get back at Zainab. But he is touched to find that Christian has been careful to make sure Zainab won’t be bothered, and he throws himself into the party spirit. Christian later catches Syed calling the solicitors – he wants a divorce from Amira as soon as possible. Unknown to both of them, Amira steps onto the Square. (Walford Web)

Thursday 13 October
Unsure, Zainab pulls away from Yusef, but he reminds her that she is divorced now. He then gets her out of the way when Amira rings, before lying that the call was from the Imam. Yusef persuades Zainab to go to Karachi with him to escape the shame from her outburst. At the party next door, Syed is in good spirits and decides to announce his engagement to Christian. The crowd falls silent as Amira walks in. Syed chases after Amira to the Vic, where she tells him he has a daughter. Initially reluctant to believe it, he becomes emotional on seeing a picture of Yasmin. Amira snatches the photo back when Christian tries to see it and sprays perfume in his eyes. She later slips away and a distressed Syed goes to look for her, leaving Christian to be comforted by Roxy.
Yusef leaves to get more pills for Zainab, taking her mobile and unplugging the house phone on his way. Outside, he encounters Amira and drags her out of sight, angry she has seen Syed. He convinces her Syed will try to steal Yasmin before telling her to go home where he will call her. Amira then bumps into Masood, who asks her to stay in touch. Syed finds Amira and begs to be allowed to see his daughter. Amira softens and agrees he can see Yasmin, on the condition Christian goes nowhere near her. As Yusef leaves with Zainab and Kamil for Pakistan, Zainab notices her mobile is missing but he convinces her she doesn’t need it. (Walford Web)

Christian worries to Roxy about his relationship with Syed, concerned that he’s been gone all day and his phone is off. Arriving home later, Syed explains that he went to see a lawyer, who thinks they have a good chance of getting both of them access to Yasmin. The lawyer also suggested that they get a mediator to speak to Amira. Meanwhile, Masood panics on discovering that Zainab has gone to Pakistan, and is frustrated with Syed for supporting his mother. Syed later goes to him to ask him to be a mediator. The discussion turns into an argument over Masood turning his back on Syed. Masood eventually agrees to speak to Amira, and Syed reassures him that Zainab wouldn’t take Kamil away for good. (Walford Web)

Monday 17 October
Syed watches from the window as Amira arrives at the Masoods’ with Yasmin. Christian decides it’s time they sorted out their flat. Syed accuses him of ‘de-gaying’ their home but Christian assures him he just wants to make things easier with Amira. At the Masoods’, Tamwar makes a fuss over Yasmin while Amira and Afia exchange bitchy comments. Left alone with Amira, Masood broaches the subject of Syed and Christian’s involvement in Yasmin’s life. Amira asks Masood about his thoughts on two men bringing up a baby but Masood refuses to be drawn on the subject. They are interrupted by the doorbell – it’s Syed and Christian.
Amira tells Syed that he can see Yasmin but reiterates that Christian is excluded from any access. Manipulatively, Amira tells Syed she is planning to visit her grandparents abroad and may not return if he does not abide by her wishes. Syed feels torn but stands firm with Christian and they both leave. Later, Christian expresses his worries to Syed – he thinks that Syed will choose Yasmin over him. Syed promises Christian that it will always be him, however he later sneaks out of the flat. As Amira prepares to leave, Syed appears and asks to hold his daughter. Syed is transfixed by Yasmin as Amira reminds him that it was them who made her, ‘you and me’. (Walford Web)







Tuesday 18 October
Syed tells Christian he is seeing his solicitor today and Christian is disappointed as he has to work at the gym. Syed however is actually meeting Amira in the park. Syed admits to Amira that he has not told Christian he is meeting her. Amira once more rejects the idea of Christian being involved in Yasmin’s life. Syed’s paternal love is clear and he stresses to Amira that he wants to provide financial support for his daughter. Amira explains that it has been nice to talk properly to someone for a change. Amira asks a passer-by to take a photo of the three of them together using Syed’s phone. Syed says he would like to meet up again but vows to be honest with Christian from now on. Amira remains stubborn and says that Christian won’t be allowed to see Yasmin. Later, Syed returns home determined to tell Christian about his day but he is unable to when he finds Roxy there.

Ben fakes an injury to spend time with Christian. Syed teases Christian that Ben obviously fancies him; and when Ben gives Christian a copy of a film he’d mentioned previously, Christian wonders if Syed might be right. (Walford Web)

Monday 24 October
Syed has another secret meeting with Amira and Yasmin at the park. Amira starts manipulating Syed into spending more time with them than he planned, pretending that Yasmin has swallowed her ring. Amira expects Syed to agree to join her as she takes Yasmin home, but instead he insists on taking the baby straight to the hospital. While this is going on, Ben watches the pair from a distance.
Later, Ben tells Christian that he saw Syed spending time with Amira, but Christian refuses to believe it and insists that he must be mistaken. When Syed returns home as Yasmin has been given the all-clear at the hospital, Christian asks him about what Ben said. However, Syed lies to Christian, insisting that he’s been with a client all day. Just when it seems like Syed is getting away with his deception, Syed’s phone buzzes with a picture message showing him and Yasmin at the park. Christian looks at the phone and is shocked to realise that Syed has been lying to him… (Digital Spy)

Tuesday 25 October
Christian hasn’t told Syed that he knows about his deception, hoping that he will reveal the truth of his own accord. He tries prompting his partner to do this, but Syed can’t bring himself to. Later, Syed meets up with Amira at Joanna’s Café but Ben sees them together as he jogs past. Ben decides to tell Roxy what he has seen and when she doesn’t seem particularly interested, he lies that Syed and Amira were kissing and must be having an affair.
Roxy is shocked by Ben’s claims and marches Christian straight round to Joanna’s Café to show him what’s supposedly going on behind his back. As Christian and Syed come face-to-face, they argue and Syed eventually storms off. When the pair are reunited at the flat later, Syed hopes that they can talk through their problems, but Christian doesn’t want to hear it – still upset that he’s been lied to. Christian then issues Syed with an ultimatum – he needs to decide whether he still wants to be with him, or whether he’s prepared to sacrifice their relationship to get Yasmin… (Digital Spy)

Thursday 27 October
The Masoods have arranged to have dinner together, including Amira and Yasmin. Meanwhile, Zainab and Yusef return to the square. Noticing Zainab’s anxious state, Yusef uses the opportunity to ply her with another pill. Zainab becomes convinced she has just seen Amira but Yusef insists her mind is playing tricks on her. Yusef further manipulates Zainab into believing that everyone knows her business before finding Amira at the Vic and warning her off visiting the Masood family that afternoon. At the cafe, Christian runs into Tamwar, who is clearly feeling awkward about the situation, and tries to reassure him.
Zainab and Yusef enter the Masoods’ house where they find Afia, Tamwar and Syed busy making preparations for Amira and Yasmin’s visit. Zainab is elated to hear that she is a grandmother. Masood arrives, prepared to be angry with Zainab, but softens when he sees how vulnerable she is. They later bond over Yasmin when Amira turns up. Yusef is angry with Amira for going against his wishes and is further put out as the family bond. Syed returns to the flat to collect his charger and runs into Christian who assures him that he is fine. He tells Syed to spend the day with his daughter and return to him later. Yusef gets Amira alone and tells her to forget their earlier conversation. He then tries to talk to Zainab about moving away together, but she refuses now she is a grandmother. Later, Yusef finds Christian in the Vic and plants the idea that Syed may not be Yasmin’s father. (Walford Web)

Friday 28 October
When a book written in Urdu arrives at the flat for Yasmin, Christian worries that he won’t be able to read to her but Syed reassures him they’ll get books in English too. At the Masoods’, Zainab is planning a party with Amira for Yasmin’s first birthday on Monday. She heads to the flat to tell Syed he should spend the day with Yasmin. Despite having plans, Christian tells Syed it’s fine and he should be with his daughter. He feels left out however as Zainab and Syed reminisce over the book. Yusef later puts further doubts in Christian’s mind about Yasmin’s parentage, eventually persuading him to do a DNA test. Finding a cardigan with Yasmin’s hair on it, he gives it to Yusef together with one of Syed’s hairs. Back at the flat, Syed has bought a takeaway to thank Christian for being so supportive and Christian is consumed with guilt.
Meanwhile, Ben buys Christian aftershave to say sorry for causing trouble, but Christian refuses the gift as being inappropriate. (Walford Web)

Monday, October 31:

It's the day of Yasmin's party and Syed is touched when Christian gives him a teddy for Yasmin. Amira is less impressed by Christian's gesture and tells him to let Syed have one day with his 'proper' family. Meanwhile, Yusef is at the surgery anticipating the DNA test results. Zainab appears and asks for some more pills. Yusef offers to join her at the party later but Zainab declines the offer and praises Masood. Determined to ruin the day, Yusef calls Qadim.

The party is underway when Qadim arrives, furious with Amira for disobeying him. He threatens to disown her unless she returns home with him. Amira chooses to stay and Qadim eventually leaves. Yusef finds Christian and hands him the test results. Christian calls Syed and asks him to come home where Christian reveals to a stunned Syed that he is not Yasmin's father. Amira pleads with Syed and insists that Christian is lying. Syed is unsure who to believe but Masood says that he believes both Christian and Amira and suspects the results have been falsified.

Tuesday, November 1:

Masood and Zainab find Yusef at the surgery where they question him, but Yusef insists he did everything by the book and suggests that Christian tampered with the test. Zainab storms off to look for Christian, leaving Masood and Yusef arguing. At Syed's flat, Amira is trying to convince him that he is the father. As Amira and Christian argue, Zainab arrives and accuses Christian of falsifying the test. Christian denies this and Syed asks Amira to do another test to resolve the matter. Amira refuses and attacks Christian when he suggests that she may have something to hide. Yusef appears and Christian reveals that he had access to the test too. Yusef explains that he is used to conducting DNA tests and followed standard NHS procedure. Zainab sends Yusef away as she needs time to think.

Masood is still at the surgery searching for evidence that could implicate Yusef. He is interrupted when Rose returns with her lunch and is forced to sneak out. Yusef pretends to support Amira and says he'll speak to her father. Zainab goes to the surgery and questions Rose about DNA tests. Rose lets slip that the surgery doesn't do DNA tests on the NHS, leaving Zainab stunned. Later, Yusef goes to see Zainab at the Masoods where he finds Masood, Syed, Amira and Yasmin. They announce they are sending off for another test and Yusef is forced to admit that he was the one who faked the last one.

Thursday, November 3:

Yusef attempts to explain his actions but Masood, Amira and Syed are livid. Masood questions Yusef but Zainab interrupts and tells Yusef that she hates him. As Masood and Syed escort Yusef out, Zainab breaks down. Christian is furious when he learns what Yusef has done and storms over to the surgery to confront him. Syed is grateful to Christian and insists that nothing will change between them. Later, Zainab finds Yusef on her doorstep. Yusef blames Zainab for the way he has turned out. Seeing them together, Masood suspects that Zainab has forgiven Yusef.

Monday, November 7:

On Christian's advice, a guilty Ben makes a heartfelt apology to Roxy which she accepts. Ben goes to see Christian and suggests they watch a DVD together to say thank you for the advice. Distracted, Christian says yes without realising and is surprised when Ben arrives at the flat that evening. Ben talks him into letting him stay by lying that Roxy is still angry. As they talk, Ben misreads the signals and leans in for a kiss but Christian pulls away, making it clear that he is just a friend. Ben flees, mortified, and bumps into Yusef outside.

Amira continues to manipulate Syed, asking him to help her find a flat. Syed helps her but is firm that nothing will change between them as he still loves Christian. When she sees Christian is trying to reach him, Amira deletes the missed calls from Syed's phone. Getting desperate, she goes to Yusef for help, offering to get Zainab back on side if he helps her get Syed back. She tells Zainab she has forgiven Yusef and Zainab decides to hear him out.

Tuesday, November 8:

Unaware of what happened with Ben, Syed criticises Christian for his drinking last night. Amira threatens Yusef that she will tell Zainab everything if he doesn't help her with Syed, so Yusef goes to Ben to find out why he was upset. Embarrassed, Ben claims nothing happened. Christian tries to clear the air with Ben, telling him again that his behaviour was inappropriate, which makes Ben angry. Roxy warns Christian not to be so hard on Amira as he could end up losing Syed, so Christian makes up the spare room as a nursery for Yasmin to make amends. Christian, Syed and Amira all head to the Vic, unaware that Ben is watching. Wanting revenge, an upset Ben lies to Yusef that Christian touched him. Yusef marches Ben over to the Arches where Ben tells his father that Christian molested him.

Thursday, November 10:

Phil confronts Christian in the Vic. Christian defends himself but admits Ben tried to kiss him, imploring Ben to tell the truth. Syed is shocked to hear about the kiss. Phil storms out in a rage and Roxy goes to find Shirley to calm him down. Grabbing a baseball bat, Phil heads to Syed and Christian's flat and starts smashing the windows. Shirley tries to hold him back while Roxy pleads with Ben to confess. Hearing the commotion, Jane runs into the flat as Phil hits Christian with the bat. Shirley jumps in front of Christian to protect him and Christian accuses Phil of not being able to deal with Ben being gay.

Ben arrives with Roxy and Jay and confesses that he made it up. Confused, Phil leaves with everyone else. Jay accuses Ben of being a coward, which prompts him to face Phil and explain why he lied. They promise to accept each other for the way they are from now on. At the flat, Syed wants to know why Christian didn't tell him about Ben and Christian becomes angry that Syed doesn't trust him, leading to a row. Christian has had enough - he loves Syed but it's all become too much. He packs his things and leaves.

Going to check on Christian, Jane bumps into Masood who is glad to see her. Elsewhere, Zainab is disgusted when Yusef and Amira lie that Christian has been molesting Ben for weeks. Yusef convinces Zainab not to go to Syed as Phil may target her family too. He suggests he should stay overnight to protect her.

Friday, November 11:

Tamwar and Afia return home and are shocked to find Yusef has stayed the night, demanding to know what's happened to Syed. There is an awkward moment when they all see Masood and Jane together. Zainab is angry with Jane, still believing that the Ben situation was Christian's fault. In the Minute Mart later that day, Masood sees that Zainab is stressed. He tells Jane he can't see her as he needs to be there for Zainab. Finding Yusef at the house however, he angrily tells Zainab that he no longer cares. Feeling guilty, Zainab asks Yusef to leave but he pushes her face to the mirror, telling her she is a failure and he is the only one who will have her now.

Meanwhile, Syed is still reeling from last night's events and fails to get hold of Christian on the phone. On Yusef's advice, Amira goes round to offer support. Syed is convinced Christian will come home and tells Amira they will get married as soon as the divorce comes through. Jane gets a phone call from Christian and has to break the news to Syed that he's not coming back.

The Masoods’ divorce is finalised and Yusef begins to plan his and Zainab’s move to Pakistan. Amira tries to persuade Syed that moving to Karachi would be good for Yasmin. Syed asks Jane if Christian is coming back, but she tells him to move on with his life.

Thursday, December 1:

Version 1: Zainab is hurt when she finds out about Masood and Jane, and after a proposal, she decides to go to Pakistan with Yusef. Seeing how upset Tamwar is Zainab has second thoughts but Yusef doesn’t take this news well.

Version 2: Zainab tells Masood that Yusef has proposed to her, but lies about the way he did it. At home, she’s surprised when Yusef makes a romantic gesture and gets down on one knee to propose properly.

Friday, December 2:

Version 1: Zainab throws Yusef a surprise birthday party but someone in Yusef’s family has found out about his proposal to Zainab and is not happy. Syed goes to Janine for money after his business proposal is turned down at the bank.

Tuesday, November 29:

Zainab and Masood's divorce papers arrive. Yusef mentions this is a chance for them to start a new life in Pakistan, but Tamwar is horrified at the prospect and Zainab insists she cannot leave Yasmin. Yusef changes tack and visits Amira, persuading her that she stands a better chance of getting Syed back if she can get him out of Walford. Amira tells Syed she is thinking of moving to Karachi as they would have a better way of life there. Syed starts to consider this option when Jane tells him Christian isn't coming back and he needs to move on. Masood visits Zainab at home where they are civil to each other over Kamil. Masood then takes Jane out on a date.

Thursday, December 1:

Masood is in a good mood after spending the night with Jane. A hurt Zainab sees them sharing a kiss and later tells Yusef she wants to go to Pakistan. After finding out about Jane and Masood, Yusef reassures Zainab not to worry about the scandal as they will get married as soon as the divorce is finalised. Zainab is unimpressed by this 'proposal' but later lies to Masood that it was romantic. Feeling hurt that everyone knows about Jane, she tells Masood that Kamil will have someone else to call daddy now. Back home, she is overjoyed when Yusef makes a romantic proposal to her and she says yes. Bumping into Jane and Masood in the Vic, Zainab reveals she is engaged and Jane notices Masood's upset at the news.

Afia meanwhile is torn over whether to go to Pakistan to please her father or stay to please her husband. Tamwar insists that he won't go, angry about the engagement and the rest of his family being on the other side of the world. Seeing how upset Tamwar is, Zainab has second thoughts. Furious, Yusef slaps her and then stops her before she runs out. He apologises but Zainab is still in shock.

Friday, December 2:

Zainab prays for guidance while Yusef watches, and flinches away when he tries to kiss her. Afia arrives and Zainab realises she had forgotten Yusef's birthday. In the Square, Yusef is stopped by his cousin Tariq who has found out about the engagement. They agree to meet up later. Yusef becomes worried as Zainab acts oddly towards him throughout the day, but is relieved to discover she has planned a surprise birthday party. During the party, Yusef slips away to meet Tariq in the Argee Bhajee, where he offers Tariq the restaurant in exchange for keeping quiet about the fire. He leaves a stunned Tariq to think about it, and Afia finds him while looking for her father. Unaware of the offer, Afia lets slip that the restaurant actually belongs to her and Tamwar. When Yusef returns to the house, Zainab tells him she loves him and will be proud to be his wife.

Elsewhere, a confident Syed sets up a meeting with the bank about a proposed business in Pakistan. He tells Jane he may be moving out. The bank turn him down however and he snaps at Jane in the cafe. Amira suggests a private investor and Syed turns to Janine who accepts after some persuasion.

Monday, December 5:

Afia returns home, where Yusef is trying to persuade Tamwar to move to Pakistan. After Yusef suggests Zainab could try to take her own life again if she stays in Walford, Tamwar tells an overjoyed Zainab he will go to Pakistan. Zainab is concerned about telling Masood and Yusef revels in the fact that Masood will be devastated. Afia tries to talk to her father about her conversation with Tariq but Zainab interrupts them. Later, Yusef meets Tariq and tells him that the restaurant will be his when he buys out Tamwar and Afia. Tariq lies that he hasn't told Afia anything so Yusef agrees to transfer the restaurant into his name. However, when Yusef returns home, he is faced by a confrontational Afia who demands that he tells Zainab the truth or she will. Just at that moment, Zainab walks into the room.

Tuesday, December 6:

It's early morning and Yusef is anxious to find Zainab and Afia talking. Afia assures him she hasn't said anything about the fire but warns him to leave London. Afia lies to Zainab that Yusef has to go away but Yusef interrupts and confesses about the fire. Stunned, Zainab flees the house and goes to the Minute Mart where Denise is working. Denise tries to talk to Zainab but Zainab pretends that she has had a row with Masood. Later, Zainab returns home where Yusef desperately attempts to explain his actions. Zainab turns to Afia for advice before coming to a decision. Zainab tells Yusef they must forget the past and agrees to marry him tomorrow.

Thursday, December 8:

Zainab and Yusef announce they are getting married today, but none of the family are happy about it. Yusef continues to manipulate Zainab, agreeing to let her tell Masood alone but asking her to quit her job. Things are awkward when Zainab tells Masood about the marriage plans, but he wishes her luck. Denise becomes concerned after witnessing Yusef convince Zainab to resign from the Minute Mart. Denise asks Masood to do something, and Masood is shocked to hear they're planning to take Kamil away.

Syed and Tamwar discuss their concerns, and Syed speculates that Zainab is expecting Masood to step in. In a moment alone, Zainab gets out her old wedding ring. As the ceremony starts, someone knocks on the door. Syed expects Masood, but it's Denise who insists on talking to Zainab alone. Denise tells her Yusef is controlling her and she knows Zainab is strong enough to walk away. Zainab snaps back that Denise is just jealous after her own history with men. Denise leaves and Zainab looks unsure. Will she go through with it?

Friday, December 16:

Jane and Masood arrive for dinner at Ian’s but the atmosphere is tense. After a few drinks, Jane and Ian both try and outdo each other to prove how happy they are with their new partners but Mandy gets a shock when Ian announces his news.

Yusef steps up his control of Zainab and he soon turns abusive. Not knowing what to do, Zainab seeks help but will she get away?

Monday, December 19:

Meanwhile, Yusef’s announcement that he is taking Zainab and Kamil to Pakistan today throws Zainab’s world upside down. With Yusef controlling her every move, Zainab is forced to take drastic measures but her actions have huge consequences.

Tuesday, December 20:

Zainab fears for her son when Yusef refuses to tell her where Kamil is. Scared about what Yusef will do, Zainab is forced to go along with his lies. At the same time, Masood is enraged that Zainab has allowed Kamil to be with someone else and he takes matters into his own hands.

Thursday, December 22:

Zainab is at her wits’ end as Yusef fails to reunite her with her son, but she continues to go along with his actions in order to get Kamil home safely. Masood finally finds out about Zainab’s plight and he forces her to tell him exactly what is going on. However, Masood is shocked when he inadvertently sees evidence of Yusef’s abuse and he vows to get his son home.

Just when Zainab thinks she is going to be reunited with her son, Yusef wickedly tells her that he cannot be manipulated. Masood is determined not to give up but when he finds out that Yusef has taken Zainab to get Kamil, he races against time to save his family.

Friday, December 16:

Jane regrets accepting Ian’s offer of a double date, but cheers up when Masood takes her on a picnic. Masood mentions Zainab, saying he will follow her to Pakistan for Kamil if she goes. They later bump into Zainab and Yusef and an argument breaks out. At Ian’s dinner party, Jane and Mandy begin drinking to relieve the tension. Jane tells Mandy she will soon see the real Ian and starts to talk about her own future with Masood. When Ian points out they couldn’t get married, Jane drunkenly says she will convert, surprising Masood. As Jane and Masood leave, Ian announces he and Mandy are getting married on Monday much to Mandy’s horror.

Elsewhere, Yusef steps up his control of Zainab, taking her mobile away. He pushes her too far however when he calls Kamil an outcast and Zainab slaps him. Yusef slaps her straight back and warns her never to do it again. Zainab later makes the decision to run away, but will she manage it?

At the same time, Christian returns to the Square to spend Christmas with Jane, so Amira tries her best to keep him away from Syed. When Syed and Christian do speak to each other, it’s clear they still have feelings for each other – but Christian is stunned when he learns that Syed is planning to go to Pakistan with Amira. Yusef confronts Zainab over her infidelity, declaring that he won’t let her ruin everything with one kiss. Amira Leaves (Again)!
Little Miss Trouble, Amira Masood, is set to finally accept that she’s wasting her time trying to woo back her gay husband, Syed, and leave Walford (took her long enough, didn’t it?). But will she take Yasmin with her? When Syed and Christian offer to buy her share of the business so she can be out of their lives for good, stubborn Amira’s determined to stay put. She seals the deal with admirer Anthony Moon, but quickly regrets sleeping with the smitten fella and decides that her life has to be away from Albert Square. On Thursday 8th March, Amira leaves Yasmin with Syed and departs. She calls the next day to say she’s coming to get her little girl, but will Syed let her take the tot? Sy might have got rid of his wife, but will he have to sacrifice his child too?
