From DS: July 27th: Tamwar and Masood are becoming frustrated with the preparations and arguments over Amira and Syed's engagement party. Frustrated, Amira tries to leave in the hope of seeking Christian's advice. Against Syed's wishes, Amira turns to Christian for help. Syed's uncomfortable but tells Christian that he's chosen Amira. Later, Amira and the Masoods meet with Imam Ali to discuss marriage. Syed's forced to walk out when he begins feeling uncomfortable with the discussions. After a brief chat with Masood, Syed returns to the house and pledges his future to Amira. Later, Christian hands Amira's notebook back and on seeing Syed with the Imam, he decides to attend the engagement party. July 28th: As Christian wanders through the Square, he's frustrated to see Syed and Amira all loved up. Zainab, meanwhile, is fretting about the engagement party plans. When Christian eventually arrives with the food, Zainab points out that he's late, before asking him to make sure he tones it down for the party so he 'doesn't look so gay'. Later, Amira turns up at the Masala Queen unit and confides in Christian about her family - her father's in prison for fraud. Amira's concerned that the Masoods won't want anything to do with her when they learn the truth, but realises that she has to come clean with Syed. Christian convinces her to tell Zainab, too. Later, Zainab's completely taken aback when Amira admits the whereabouts of her father. However, Amira's shocked when Zainab agrees that if she and Syed make each other happy, they should be together. Back in the party, Christian's visibly upset by the situation as Masood makes a speech. In the kitchen, Christian and Masood find themselves together and Christian suggests that Syed tell Amira the truth. Syed, however, is firm - he can't bear to lose his family again, before pointing out that he's Muslim and he has to live by certain rules. Frustrated, Christian heads to The Vic where he starts chatting to a guy called Luke. Before long, they head to Christian's flat and continues to bemoan his situation with Syed. Luke, however, admits that he's not gay, before issuing a torrent of abuse and beating Christian to the ground… July 30th: Elsewhere, Ian discovers that Christian's been beaten up and Christian begs him not to tell Jane; Syed learns of Christian's attack and goes to visit him; Christian insists that Syed's the same type of guy as the one who attacked him; Zainab's words about there being no homosexuals in Pakistan concern Syed; and Syed tells Christian that he can't be who he wants him to be www.digitalspy.com/soaps/i191631/syed-christian.htmlJuly 31st: Elsewhere, Christian's discharged from hospital and returns to work;Syed offers to go with Christian to give his statement to the police about the attack. |

After this past week, I don't know that I can wait until the 21st for more Christian and Syed!

Here is a little bit more of the Female First article that kradamantium2525 posted in the Press and Interviews thread: "But a brutal attack will knock Christian's confidence, although he hints that a mystery person will act as his saviour. John added: 'The whole incident leaves him really shaken. He's embarrassed and his confidence is severely knocked. Maybe he's going to have help along the way--somebody to be there and hold his hand... I can't tell you who, though!'"

Monday August 17th: Roxy and Christian have cross words when Christian tells her that she's the most self-obsessed person he's ever met. Christian invites Syed over to the flat.
Thursday August 20th:Christian reveals to Syed that the police have caught Luke, the man who attacked him; Syed tells Christian that he'll spend the night with him if he braves going out; Christian braves a trip to the Minute Mart, but scrambles inside when he nears his flat.
Friday August 21st: Zainab turns up at Christian's flat, much to Syed's horror. Zainab has a funny turn in the Masala Queen unit; Christian finally appears at work; and Masood reveals his travelling plans to Zainab.

Plus, i think it kinda hints at something else  Roxy and Christian have cross words when Christian tells her that she's the most self-obsessed person he's ever met (not really important but a chris appearance) Christian invites Syed over to the flat (wink*wink) |

From an interview with Marc Elliott in Inside Soap: "Syed's preparing to wed Amira--but with secret lover Christian waiting in the wings, the likelihood of the couple making it down the aisle is slim... 'I've got a feeling it's going to be horror, guilt and angst for him,' admits Marc. 'I don't really see a happy ever after for Syed.' Speculation is building about what happens when the truth about Syed's sexuality is exposed, but Marc is happy to hold off on the big reveal. 'I like the fact that it's a bit of a slow burn at the moment,' muses the actor. 'But it's going to be explosive when it does come out. I can promise some really exciting stuff.'"

And here is an unexpected development:
Thursday, September 17: "Amira suggests that Christian and James would make a good couple. James talks to Syed about possibly having a relationship with Christian."
Friday, September 18: "James offers to cook dinner for Christian. It's clear that James wants a relationship, but Christian tells James that he thinks they should just be good friends and that he should find somewhere else to stay."

From Digital Spy: Monday, September 14: "Christian asks Amira if they [Amira and Syed?] can spend some quality time together once Ramadan's over. Christian asks Amira about the 'no sex' rule he presumed was in force during Ramadan but she informs him that 'anything goes' at night." Thursday, September 17: "Syed meets Christian's old school friend James who invites Syed for a drink. Amira suggests that Christian and James make a nice couple and when James suggests a potential relationship, Syed tries to dissuade him." Friday, September 18: "Syed apologies for calling Christian a 'serial slapper who can't keep it in his trousers' to Christian. Christian tells Syed that they can be together when he ends things with Amira. Syed realizes how he feels about Christian but can't bring himself to call things off with Amira just yet." There are some odd gaps in these spoilers, and the phrasing of that first sentence in the September 18th spoiler is really awkward! There must be a private scene between Syed and James, where Syed tries to "dissuade" James from pursuing Christian ("serial slapper"!). The spoiler photo (which appears to have vanished--and I didn't think to save it!) showed Syed talking alone with James. There's no mention in these spoilers about James' offer to cook Christian dinner (see a few posts above), but James must tell Christian then what Syed has said--hence Syed's apology. Syed seeks religious advice on how to deal with his feelings for Christian, while Christian comes to a conclusion about his relationship with James and breaks it off with him. Christian and Syed reunite and share a passionate moment that, unfortunately for them, someone sees. From there, Christian and Syed are tormented by a stalker who knows their secret and begins a frightening series of harassments and vandalism, making their lives a living nightmare. Someone sees Syed and Christian kissAirs on Monday, September 28 2009 e James suggests to Christian that he cook a Sunday roast for Ian, Jane, Syed and Amira, but Christian's not too happy with the idea. Over at Masala Queen, Masood's excited about becoming a father again but Jane's despondent that she can't have children. Having told Ian that she wants to look into having a baby, Ian suggests that they discuss it later. Christian's later shocked when his sister reveals her hope of expanding the family. Later at Christian's, Ian and Jane turn up along with Syed for Sunday lunch. Syed explains that Amira's out shopping and therefore can't attend. After a 'moment' in the kitchen between Christian and Syed, Christian takes his frustration out on Ian who makes a negative comment about Zaian having another child 'at her age'. Christian calls Ian a thoughtless and selfish man, prompting Ian to reveal that he doesn't want any more children. Christian also tells James to keep out of his family business. Humiliated by Ian's outburst, Jane promptly leaves just after Syed receives a call from Amira. James warns Christian not to put him down in front of the family again. Christian goes to find Jane in the Square and apologises for what happened at the meal. Later at Masala Queen, Ian assures Jane that she already has a proper family, but Jane admits that she still wants a baby who will call her mummy from birth. Jane goes on to reluctantly admit that her current family life is enough. Christian and Syed catch up with each other near the park and Syed states that James is a great guy. Christian reminds Syed that James isn't him, before dragging him through a door into an alleyway. Syed presumes that she knows about his secret relations with Christian and he begins to apologise. Zainab then suggests that next time he can't make it to one of Bushra's meals, he should call to say he can't make it. The doorbell goes and Zainab lets a devastated James into the house. James reveals that he and Christian have split up. Outside in the Square, James questions Syed over why Christian ended their relationship, but Syed feigns ignorance. With that, Syed heads over to see Christian for some answers himself. Christian admits that he ended things with James so he could be with Syed - and deep down knows he's pleased. Christian goes on to remind Syed that when they're together it's special. Syed, however, insists that it'll never just be the two of them as 'God will always know'. Later, Syed arranges to meet imam Ali in the park to talk about his troubles. Syed admits that he's been having 'thoughts' and 'feelings for someone else'. After further interrogation, Syed confesses that he's in love with a non-Muslim man. The imam tells Syed that his feelings are wrong and suggests that he pray but Syed explains how so many other gay Muslims have been accepted by Allah. Friday, October 2 2009 Meanwhile, Zainab's flustered as she prepares for the Business Awards and is shocked when Tamwar reveals that Syed's bed hasn't been slept in. Syed wakes in Christian's flat and rushes off when he notices the time. Syed returns home with a bag of shopping and manages to successfully talk his way out of the situation. Ian and Jane later arrive at the Masoods' and Syed questions where Christian is and Jane reveals that he's babysitting. Syed rushes over to the Beales' in the hope of convincing Christian to attend. Christian, however, protests that he can't sit and watch a loved-up Syed with Amira. Lucy asks Christian what's wrong but Christian remains tight-lipped. Lucy, however, realises that something's not quite right. When the Masoods and Beales return to the Square with the 'Best New Small Business' award, they head to the Masood house to celebrate, only to discover that their door has been vandalised and reads 'Bad Boy'... Monday, October 5: "As Syed attempts to paint over the 'Bad Boy' graffiti on the front door, Zainab panics him when she reveals that she knows who the bad boy of the family is--it's Tamwar and she'll be able to prove it before the day's out. Presuming the vandalism was for his benefit, Syed rushes to the café in search of Christian. Unable to find him, Syed receives a call from Zainab who's worrying about Tamwar's whereabouts. Syed soon finds Tamwar looking at his phone but when asked what he's looking at, he refuses to show his brother. Having found Tamwar, Syed tracks down Christian to his flat and expresses his concern that someone knows about their secret affair. Christian, however, tries to allay his fears.
Returning home, Syed finds Zainab spying on Tamwar and when they barge into the room, they find Tamwar watching something on his laptop. With that, Zainab orders Syed to get Masood. With the family gathered, they discover what Tamwar's been doing--running an impressions website (www.rudemasood.co.uk) on which he mocks the locals, including Pat, Peggy, Patrick and Dot. When Masood points out that the impersonations don't make Tamwar a bad boy, Zainab's concern turns to her husband. Syed tries to talk to his father about the graffiti, but Masood's convinced that Syed's been a bad boy. After a trip to see Christian, Syed decides to clear the air with his father.
On his arrival at Masala Queen, Syed overhears Masood arranging a trip to the cinema with Jane. Keen to evade any finger pointing, Syed returns home and tells Zainab that Masood's definitely the bad boy."
Tuesday, October 6: "Zainab and Masood attend the hospital for a baby scan, but Zainab's in a foul mood. On their return to the Square, Masood shows off the scan picture. A furious Zainab, convinced of the affair, exclaims that Masood and Jane are carrying on behind everyone's backs. Jane's gobsmacked by the accusation, while Masood's incredulous that his wife could think such a thing. Zainab goes on to reveal that Syed hears them arranging a trip to the cinema. An argument between Zainab and Masood ensues, before she has a heart-to-heart with Jane, who makes it clear that she and Masood are just good friends. Concerned that she and Masood don't do more as a couple, she apologises to him, but Masood questions their marriage--if they don't have trust, do they even have a relationship?"

Monday, October 12: "Tamwar tries to convince Masood to work things out with Zainab. Ignoring him, Masood tells Tamwar to let his mother know he is annoyed that she has Tamwar working on the stall when he could be in the library studying."

Friday, October 23: "The 'Bay Boy' blackmailer turns up the heat. Tamwar’s attempts to chat up a girl at the bar end embarrassingly and he whines about being terminally single. Syed receives an envelope and inside there is a blackmail-style note, which says ‘Bad Boy’ alongside a photo of Syed and Christian looking cosy in an alleyway."

Friday, October 16: "Zainab invites Jane for lunch as an apology, and someone takes a photo of Christian and Syed as they talk down an alleyway."
