Fer (he stumbles): Ouch! I told you I'd fall, I'm clumsy...
David: OK OK, here we are! Take a deep breath! Stay with that fragrance!
Fer: It smells of patchouli, David!
David (he unties his necktie that was blindfolding Fer): Fer, welcome to our home. Ha, what do you think?
Fer: David, how, let's see, how, "welcome to our home"?
David (jubilant): Yes, yes, an exchange of favors. Someone wanted to leave this and he couldn't because of his lease, so he is subletting to us at a reasonable rate. Huh!
Fer: My love, but, my love, and your mother, and what?
David: Well, my mother, we'll fix her, let her get used to it, and for the money, don't worry, if one has to work and to study, well, we'll study and work, anything to see you happy!
Fer (slowly growing hysterical): Let's see, David, you're telling me, this is our home! with that little garden, that skylight with the sun and all the joy coming down and that couch! Oy, for God's sake, please, this is our home, love! and those stairs, where do they...? and that way is our bedroom...
David: Listen, listen, don't get so worked up, because we gotta start and look for work.
Fer: We, my love? You know already I am totally stressed with that business of getting higher grades, and I'll only study.
David (a bit stunned): What?
Fer: You are repeating because you only failed one subject. so you'll have plenty of time to start working. (He kisses him before rushing to explore the flat) I couldn't love you more!
(David is still stunned by what he just heard, but then he gives way to his joy at hearing and seeing how freaking excited Fer is.)
Fer: And the kitchen, pleeease! you've seen it? come here! A glass-ceramic top! How thoughtful of you! You know I'd burn myself with a gas stove because I don't know how to use it... And, God, that skylight!...

Just switched the YT video for "Errante" to the official music video, which is quite nice. I have the original lyrics somewhere, so if there is an interest, I'll be happy to provide an English version. ;D

I am also posting the YT clip of the other song heard in chapter 71 (7x01). It comes earlier in the episode, when Xavi arrives on his bike and then when the "bad girls" make their entrance.



It's a real fun song, and the video shows the lyrics. It's called "Supermodelo" by an Indie band from Madrid, Rusos blancos. The chorus, sung by the girls, means "WE DON'T WEAR TRACKSUITS". Tracksuits are what Yoli, Alma and her female friends end up wearing to protest Enrique's dress code, later in the show.

Since it appears there is going to be a problem with subtitles, I thought I would do more translations of Fervid scenes.

Starting with the scene of the meeting with the 2 mothers.

After the key ring scene, the meeting is announced by Fer at the beginning of the scene with Enrique, Yoli and her thong. Fer says: "Nothing, this evening we are going to talk with our mothers, we'll spring the news on them and ask them to help us with the money".

This scene occurs about ten minutes later.

David: What the fuck, mom!
Eva: Don't you mom me now! You're not going to move in together and that's that!
Fer (to his mom): Mom, please, interfere!
Carmen: I'm trying to, but the thing is, your mother-in-law is very upset.
Eva: Carmen, stop calling me your son's mother-in-law!
Carmen:...
Eva: But how can you not care about this crazy thing they want to do?
Carmen: It's just a matter of time until they move in together.
Eva: But if they don't even have any money of their own!
David: No, but we'll get some!
Eva: As if it was so easy! And in the meantime, what? Milking your parents, right?
Fer: Mom!
Carmen: Let's see, Eva. Shouldn't we be giving them the opportunity to learn how to act responsibly ?
Eva: If they want to learn about responsibility, let them get their diploma in due time and form! Look at your son, throwing one whole year away just to get better grades! And this one here, he's repeating after failing one subject and yet he's proud of his school year! Come on, really!
David (very angry): Look, Mom...
Fer; David, we're all going to take it easy.
David: Look, mom, I don't care what you may say, I've decided to move in with Fer.
Carmen: And we cannot assume alone all the expenses.
Eva: Very well, if they want to move in together, let them do it when they can afford to on their own. Didn't you want to teach them about responsibility? Well, that's it!

And the morning after, Eva meets her son to have breakfast with him. this scene come approximately six minutes after the end of the previous one.

David is seated on top of a bench, reading a newspaper. He's wearing a tie, as per Enrique's new dress code. I guess we're supposed to understand he spent the night with Fer.

Eva: David!
David: Hi!
Eva: Hi!
David: Listen, mom, this thing of making a date to have breakfast together, it sounds funny.
Eva: Come on, I just want to have breakfast with you. Is there anything wrong with us having breakfast together?
David: No.no, but I don't know, it's weird, isn't it?
Eva: What were you reading?
David: Nothing, I am just looking for a job. So that you can see that, yes, I am going to act responsibly.
Eva: You're still set on moving in with Fer.
David: Absolutely.
Eva: But son, really, what's the rush?
David: Don't you start, mom, ok?
Eva: I'm just saying that you got your whole lives ahead of you and that you're very young.
David: Look, it's all decided, ok? With or without your help. Let's go now , because I must go back to school.
Eva: David!
(She swoons)
David: Mom, mom, mom, but what are you doing? Mom...mom!

A bit later, as Xavi is taking the students outside to paint a graffiti mural, Fer explains to Salva that David has just had a big scare with his mother and that he is with her while she's being given tests.

After which Fer is by Yoli when she gets suspended by Enrique for one week. Later on, Yoli, Fer, Román and Salva make a pact against Enrique and vow to foster a revolution at the school (like in Egypt). ;D

The morning after, David and Fer meet outside the school. David hands Fer a folded piece of paper.
David: Fer...
Fer: What's this?
David: My mother's test results. I saw them at home and I took them.
Fer: And you stole this from her?
David: Yeah
Fer: And why did you do this?
David: Well, because she refuses to tell me what she's got. According to her, everything is fine, I am not to worry. But when I get a bit nervous, she gets dizzy and she falls down to the ground like a lump.
Fer: Fine, sweetheart, but you know, this could be in Chinese and I'd understand it just as well. Why don't you ask her doctor?
David: And then he'll just send it to her? Besides, I'm sure she's arranged it with him so that he won't tell me a thing.
Arturo (walking by): Good morning, guys!
Fer & David: hi!
They watch Arturo as he enters the school and they get the same idea. ;D

Next sequence in Arturo's medical office.

Arturo: So then, David, I'm sorry to tell you that your mother has got absolutely nothing.
David: But, what do you mean "she's got absolutely nothing"? Are you sure?
Arturo: Quite. All the results are absolutely perfect. A textbook case. Hey, I'd give good money to have such a good report card. It's perfect
Fer: Thank you!
David (still confused): Well, thank you very much!
Arturo: Ah, David! And tell her there's nothing to be ashamed of. Next time she wants to ask me, let her ask directly.
Fer: Of course, yes. Let's go...

A few minutes later, we see David walking by a fence in the park. Then his mother appears in the distance. David goes to meet her, he still has her test results in his hand.

Eva: Hi
David: Hi
Eva: How nice that you could get out of school early!
David: Yes. How have you been this morning?
Eva: Fine, fine. Well, a little uneven, you know.
(David hands her the piece of paper.)
Eva: Why do you take my things without my permission?
David: And why do you bloody lie to me?
(She starts to walk away.)
David: Mom, there's nothing wrong with you, isn't that the truth?
Eva (she stops): I'm feeling dizzy...
David: You're not feeling dizzy. What kind of an act is this?
Eva: David!
(She's hyperventilating)
David: This is so that I don't go to live with Fer! I can't believe it! How can you be so selfish?
Eva (growing hysterical): Me, me, selfish? What about you? I do everything for you. And see what I get in return. I get to stay alone. i don't know. I guess it would have been better if you'd left with your father, like you wanted to. Now, all I am for you is someone selfish.
David (moved): Of course not, mom, of course not, I swear. I'll come to see you with Fer every other day.
Eva (obviously not thrilled, and beginning to sob ;D): Right. That's typical! As always! And after that, you'll leave me to rot alone at home. And when I call you, you won't pick up the phone. David, you've wanted to leave me all alone since the day you got it into your head to say you were...
(David is visibly appalled by his mother's bad theatrics.)
Eva (seeing she's gone too far): Look, you do what you want!
(She walks away in a huff. In the foreground, David exhales loudly.)

Here's the little bit of dialogue between David and Xavi in the coffee shop. This scene follows immediately the music video. At this point in the story, since he was with his mother when Xavi had his first class, David probably doesn't know who that man is.

David (to the unseen barman): Excuse me, do you mind if I tear off a couple of pages? It's because I'm looking for a flat and I'd like to read them in my own time... Thanks a lot!
Xavi: I've got a real great flat.
David:Seriously?
Xavi: It's modern, hip, and perfect for young people.
David: Well, if the flat is cool and we can discuss the price...
Xavi: It's just nearby. Let's go see it and then we'll talk.
David: Let's go.

The next relevant scene is the one I translated above, when David shows Fer what will be their new home.

So, I just edited in a few corrections and added some missing parts, particularly some of Fer's lines. For all of which I am extremely grateful to Pepsi, a most eminent and devoted Fervidista, who's been generous enough to help me with some very tough spots. Thanks a lot, colega!

Someone was hoping the writers would take a clue from GTST for the upcoming bed scenes of Fer and David. It's probably too late for that, but one detail at the end of the apartment scene, which I've just added, leads to me believe some people in Madrid have been watching AWZ. ;D It would be nice if Fer turned out to be a follower of Roman Wild when it comes to worshipping his glass-ceramic top.

The scene cuts here, but for the first time in FoQ, this Fervid embrace is followed by the usual montage that tells us a night goes by and another day starts (the third in the episode). And thanks to Pepsi, I can show what image opens the new day:

Still going back in time, here is the first half of the epic dinner scene at Fer's and David's place. This is as good as the best screwball comedy. I'll post the rest later and rearrange all of this chronologically.

Fer and David’s flat : Fer is lying on the couch watching TV and eating popcorn. He hears David coming home.
Fer : Hi ! how did it go ? Have you told Susana yet ?
(David looks as sheepish as is humanly possible. We soon understand why.)
Susana (showing up) : Told me what ?
Fer : Oy… aaahhh… Susana, right ?
Susana : Hmm
Fer : Hi, er…nothing..., told you that… told you that… told you…, that I had…
David : This is Fer, my flatmate. You remember that I told you that he loves hair salons and stuff
Susana : Yes, yes.
David : Well, he asked me if you could tell him how yours works.
Susana : Now ?... er, if you want, I can explain it later, because David and I, we’re going out to dinner together…
Fer : Ah, you’re going out to dinner the two of you… the two of you alone…

Susana : You’re gay, aren’t you ?
Fer : And you’re a clairvoyant, aren’t you ?
Susana : I knew it. The thing is, I’ve got a radar to tell them. I’m never wrong.
Fer : And the minute I saw you, I thought, that girl, I’m sure she’s got a gift to tell those things.
