That's how I feel, B-chick. Yet, I'm never going to regret that I allowed myself to enjoy JP and Kieron's time together as a couple, who actually communicated with each other about their relationship. I'm also, never going to regret knowing that James and Jake have amazing chemistry with each other on screen. I wasn't the only one who witnessed it. E4 made a mistake a few days ago and aired next Tuesday's episode. Someone uploaded the JPK scenes to youtube. Here's the beginning of the end, with scenes that make no sense when compared to the actions and behavior of John Paul and Kieron the last time we saw them on screen. www.youtube.com/watch?v=CxMzvoG1pNk&eurl=http: Thanks, though now I am a bit trepidatious...

I can barely watch JPK without feeling sad that I know how the storyline will play out. I shouldn't be so addicted to spoilers.

Yeah, sometimes, spoilers can take all the surprise out of seeing what happens with "fresh eyes". At least, I'm prepared for the destruction/changes in the traits of characters that I've come to enjoy. I can barely watch JPK without feeling sad that I know how the storyline will play out. I shouldn't be so addicted to spoilers.

It was lovely, except for JP catching and showing an attitude towards Kieron. Isn't it funny, that Myra's NOW wanting JP to 'play the field', when earlier this year, she wanted JP to be on some sort of 'nooky lockdown'. B-Chick, please check your PM. ;D

It would be nice to know why John Paul doesn't tell Kieron how he feels. Kieron keeps asking him if he still wants to get married, if he wants to wait, and if anything is wrong, but John Paul says nothing. I hope the writers have an explanation for this, and this isn't just contrived drama for the sake of a forced SE.
Maybe John Paul doesn't want to run the risk of Kieron getting depressed again, but I wish he would open his eyes and see how much he's hurting Kieron.

Well, we're all just supposed to drink the kool-aid. Kieron is such a lovely character. Sigh. Such a waste of a great character and an amazing actor for HO. Such a waste. Barry made me "feel" for the psychotic Niall, for the very first time, while watching him listening to Myra talking about his father. Then, the hatred came back, when HIS hatred overflowed at the gravesite. Hurricane Niall is just beginning to develop and it's going to continue to batter Myra and anyone associated with her for months to come.

I wonder what roles do John Paul and Kieron play in the story that Tom was reading earlier. I find it interesting that the writers are paining John Paul in such a bad light. A few months ago, I was afraid that they would do a character assasination on Kieron, but they've decided to do it to John Paul, which I find odd. I wonder if they plan on redeeming his character in October or at least before he leaves in a few weeks.
Kieron has given John Paul chance after chance to open his mouth and tell him what's wrong, but being the drama queen John Paul keeps quite until he explodes in the most clumsy and hurtful way.

JP was paired with Niall in the Cain and Abel story and Niall also with Steph in the Garden of Eden story and K with Niall in the voiceover at the end with the plagues of Egypt - the last one Death!
Why do you think JP's character has been assassinated? I think he has been rightfully very anxious about hurting K and finally exploded!

It's all about the 'love', even with the traits of the characters being changed at the last minute to make the rushed SE happen.
I'm still not drinking the kool-aid.

A brand of powdered juice drink. I used to love it when I was a kid. It is a popular brand. I don't know if it is still sold. Now about JP/Kieron... I watched the clips( part 1 and 2) at TGoDT just recently. It seems like the episode has a biblical feel in it. While the small boy narrated about The Prodigal Son on his bible story book, Craig appeared on the scene. I can say Craig(Guy Burnett) has become more confident and probably more accepting of his sexuality than he was before. While Kieron... poor Kieron, he cries and cries. He cried after JP told him he was a bit too young at 19 to get married, a signus for having cold feet from the coming wedding while Kieron excitedly mentioned his plans for the marriage. He even suggested to have a Grease-like wedding motif and dance. Now comes Craig, which I think, hoping for a bit of love from JP. While JP and Craig hugged, Kieron coincidentally appeared, throwing the phone to JP while getting more hurt from the intimacy of the former lovers. And then again he cried and sobbed and cried and... oh well, really poor Kieron. Jake is really cute even if he cries and is totally a HOTTIE! Meanwhile, Guy has become ruggedly handsome. James. Well James is still as handsome as ever with a very expressive face and his acting is really good.

John Paul's character has been made to look childish and selfish. It is natural to get cold feet, but when your boyfriend repeatedly asks you what the problem is, you tell him, when he says you can put off the wedding and engagement, you take that as a sign that you can talk intelligently about the subject. You don't act like you are ashamed to talk about your bofriend with your ex, and you don't let your boyfriend run off angry, twice without following him.
A few weeks ago, we saw how well JPK were talking out their problems, suddenly last week, in order to force this storyline, they stopped doing that. John Paul let misplace anger and resentment build up until he exploded. Kieron did nothing to deserve the things that John Paul said. John Paul had ample opportunity to pick his words wisely, but instead we had a scene of him holding Kieron's hands last week and telling him that he wanted him to make the plans for the wedding, in the next scene we have him looking like a petulant child and telling Tina that it is all Kieron's idea and that Kieron is pushing for an immediate wedding.
I just hope the writers can justify this change in JP's character, and that they have him come to terms with his behavior before he leaves, if not this month, then next month.

I hope so too, Caitlin.
At this point, for me the JP that I'm seeing is the one from last summer. If THAT'S who he needs to be for the destruction of his relationship with Kieron and to have him end up with Craig, then that doesn't sit right for me.
Especially in regards to how "immature" Kieron's supposedly acting, because for some unknown reason, he believed in what JP said to him, because he's in love with him and he thought JP felt the same. He had trust in the stability of their relationship, because he's in love with him and he thought JP felt the same.

Thanks for explaining what kool-aid is, Cat.
Now, there was this tragic, real-life tragedy, in the late 70's, in which hundreds of people were murdered, made to commit mass suicide, by drinking (some being forced to do it) poisoned kool-aid, by their cult leader, the Reverend Jim Jones, in the jungles of Guyana. He wanted to make sure that his family/followers/"children" all ended up in "heaven" with him, because "evil devils" were out to destroy their "heaven on earth".
The term, "don't drink the kool-aid" came from that tragedy.

The term, "don't drink the kool-aid" came from that tragedy. I didn't know that story. Thanks for telling me that. That's maybe the reason I never see Kool-aid brand in my country's markets anymore. I think what the reverend did was entirely ridiculous and outrageous. But enough of that, let's go to JP/Kieron discussion. The episode I've seen which includes the coming of Craig started with happy scenes( Kieron excited about the wedding, Niall expecting a date and Craig coming home with the intention of seeing JP) as well as skeptical scene in the case of JP who has been finding a way to break off the wedding. :-[From happy scenes, the weather has become blue to gray for Kieron and Niall while JP and Craig's surrounding, I think, has turned red and pink. Pink because, you know, they're back in each other's arms again and red, perhaps because of the coming war, a war to win the heart of JP. :-/Lucky JP

I don't see it that way, in terms of the colors of the SE, but it's nice that you're pleased with it.

This isn't the John Paul and Craig thread, but Craig didn't come home to see John Paul, as Guy Burnett said in his Inside Soaps interview, Craig came home to help his family.

He came home for his family, yes - but he knew that he would see JP and he is still in love with JP.

He came home for his family, yes - but he knew that he would see JP and he is still in love with JP. Yes, he's in love with JP, but that has nothing to do with the post that I was referring to, or that this isn't a Craig thread. Getting back to John Paul and Kieron: Since they've been focusing on changing John Paul's character, I guess today they decided it was Kieron's turn, so instead of having him directly confront John Paul about what's going on, they had him playing mind games with him by giving him the "ultimatium." Jake played the scene well, but the scene didn't even have the impact that it had in the preview clip, because it was so false to who the character is. Everything about this storyline is so forced that it's hard to relate to what's happening, and they've made things worse by having the characters act in ways that the aren't true to who they are.

I hate what they're doing to Kieron's character. Kieron pressuring JP is so out of character that it annoyed me.
