Thank you for uploading AND giving very helpful backgroundinfo! The show looks very promising. I like how Matt is genuinely enthusiastic about his work and concerned about the kids. I even tend to like Steph although I'm not quite sure why, given some of her actions ... . (and find myself really looking forward to see whether they will manage to perform the musical and who will play the female lead ;D).

You're welcome, everyone! Sorry there was a bit of a lag getting this next clip up. It's been crazy busy here. But this clip combines two episodes, so we're making up for lost time. I'm still determined to get this season done, so we can start talking Season 4! These are the clips from Episodes 307 AND 308. There was very little Matt in 307, so I combined the two. They are separated by a bit of credits. Episode 307 - There were several scenes of Matt during staff meetings which I cut out for the YouTube clips. All scenes more pertinent to Matt's storylines were kept. As always, the cut scenes will be included in the download clip. Background: In the last episode, the school head quit after being suspended for some shoddy accounting. The deputy head was given the impression that he would take over until the end of term. Instead, a school board member showed up with a new head. The new head instantly began instituting some giant changes, including teaching more career skills to the students. She started with a business competition - whichever students came up with the best business idea won a gift certificate. Two of the girls came up with idea to take pictures of people unaware. Obviously, their caption over the Matt picture peeved him. The talk of the school play is a continuation of the problems Matt has been facing the past few episodes - his male lead just quit due to personal drama. There are no other guys to play the part, so Matt is at a bit of standstill with the play. Episode 308 - ALL Matt scenes included Background: At the beginning of the episode, we see the student, Sally, taking care of her young brother in the morning. She has to leave for school, so she tells him to be good and the babysitter should be there soon. She keeps calling the babysitter to see if she has gotten there. But Matt takes her phone. She later manages to borrow a phone, and the sitter does not answer. We see her brother home alone. She tries to leave school at the break, but is busted by the head. She gives the head a fake name and tells her Matt released her for an eye test, but the head insists she return to school. Meanwhile, we continue to see her baby brother getting closer to hurting himself alone at home. Eventually, he gets trapped in an abandoned fridge outside. Luckily, she and the head show up in time to save him. YouTube LinkAnd here's the download clip. Just a few extra scenes of Matt in the background from Episode 307. 79mb, 11:48 minute wmv file @ MediaFire

It's no problem. It takes like a minute to type out the few sentences background. And I've watched enough YouTube videos to know how much it sucks when you can't figure out what the heck is going on! Here are the latest clips, from Episodes 309 and 310. Colin appears in 310! I am again combining two episodes, since 309 isn't that long. But 310 is over 10 minutes, so I'm splitting the video into 2 parts. (This way I can upload the two episodes in two videos, as opposed to 3.) Episode 309 - I cut out a few scenes with Matt just in the background. As always, those are in the download clip. All scenes pertinent to Matt's storyline are included in the YouTube clip. Background: During an "archeological dig" on campus in one of the classes, the skeleton of a baby is found. The police believe that a female student must have buried her child after it was secretly born. Steph is asked to help the investigator interview the "more likely" students. Meanwhile, Karla, the student with Asperger's, cannot understand why something like this shut down the class project. Two of the girls in her class - including the lead girl in Matt's play - decide to mess with her by telling her the teachers are just being mean, and she should start a petition saying that a dead baby isn't reason enough to shut down the dig. When the deputy head finds out what they did, he is furious about their bullying. Which is why he pulls the lead girl from rehearsal and the play as punishment. Brett is missing the rehearsal because his ex-girlfriend - Mika, the original female lead of the play - is having a pregnancy scare. The pregnancy test is negative. Episode 310 - ALL Colin and ALL Matt scenes included. Background: We don't see Mika agreeing to do the play again, but we do hear her regretting that the teachers talked her into it, since now she must spend time with her ex Brett, the male lead. She's still furious with him for sleeping with her sister. Brett, on the other hand, is still into Mika. (I left Steph's counsel to Mika in because she refers to Colin as Matt's pa- indicating that she knows Colin is Matt's partner.) For the record, the teacher in the green shirt is Mika's awesome step-dad. So he's not just staring at her creepily. Meanwhile, Alicia is still mad about being booted (deservedly) from the play, and she is determined to ruin it as revenge. She has the idea to use Karla, the student with Asperger's who is running the behind-the-scenes stuff for the play. Alicia switches up all the wires that run the stage sounds, etc. The head is meanwhile struggling in her pitch to a board, which she is trying to convince to give the school a higher certification and more funding. So, panicking, she comes up with the bright idea to show them a dry run of the play. I cut out the scenes from the beginning of the play, with just the students, but they all did wonderfully, and the play was going off without a hitch... until Alicia's trickery with the wires came into play. Alicia eventually feels sorry for what she's done to Karla. YouTube LinkYouTube LinkAnd here's the download clip. It's too big for MediaFire, so I upped it to MegaUpload. The only added content is from 309 - mainly just scenes with Matt in the background. 150mb, 20:28 minute wmv file @ MegaUpload

Here are the scenes from Episode 311, 312, and 314. Matt was not in 313. 312 and 314 are in the same video, and separated by a bit of credits. No Colin in these episodes. Episode 311 - I cut out a good chunk of the wandering around the jail storyline. Nothing important to Matt. As always, the extended scenes will be in the download clip. But there will be a bit of a daily for this clip, since my stupid program lost my scene marks, and I need to redo it. Background - Matt and the head are taking some of the more troublesome boys to visit a prison and get "scared straight." The tall boy, Bolton, is definitely the most troublesome of the bunch, and keeps telling his friends that his dad is in prison and says it's actually awesome. He tells them how easy it is to score drugs in prison, and approaches an inmate trying to score. That inmate later turns out to be one of the 2 guys they have talk to the boys about life in prison. He's the one we see pass Bolton something while Matt is getting beat up. After Matt is taken away by the prison doctor, the head informs the boys that Matt is going to the hospital, while they leave. Bolton is still all brass, talking about how awesome prison was, and how the fight was so cool. Then the warden says they all have to be searched before leaving, and he finds the drugs on Bolton. He throws Bolton in a cell with an angry prisoner. By the end of the ordeal, Bolton is in tears. He then gets "released", only to find out from the other boys that it was all an act. He's pretty surly, but he does come around by the end. Episode 312 - Cut out one minor scene with Matt in background. Included in download clip Background - Matt and the other teachers are working with the kids on their interviewing skills. The businessman there helping them is up for a contract to build a new addition to the school. Unbeknownst to the other teachers, he's actually blackmailing the head with some dirt from her past to ensure he gets the contract. Bolton - the troublesome boy from the previous episode - gets the job with his construction company. Episode 313 - No Matt Scenes Episode 314 - ALL Matt scenes are included. Background - Jasmine (the Indian teacher) had an altercation earlier with the female student who is glaring at her. The student is a bully and a criminal, and is mad that Jasmine got in her way. She's determined to get Jasmine booted from school by lying about Jasmine attacking her. Really - a horrible young woman. And, for now, it looks like her plan has worked. Meanwhile, the head has assigned the older male teacher - with Steph's help - to teach the kids ballroom dancing. YouTube LinkYouTube LinkThe next episode, 315, is a big one for Colin and Matt. Here are the clips from Episode 315. This is a big one, as it was the main storyline in a 60 minute episode. I've split the clip into 4 (!!!!) parts. I tried cutting out the nonessential bits, but it was still clocking in at a little over 30 minutes, so instead I just left everything in, including the kids talking about Matt at school. ALL Colin and ALL Matt scenes included. As well as all scenes talking about Matt or related to the questioning student. To fill in some missing details - when the students are leaving the office, and Matt and Colin are walking to the van - right before that, the Indian coworker asked Chloe out. So those little looks they were shooting each other throughout the tour did lead to something. The altercation between the two girls in the bathroom - I left it in because it referenced Matt and is another demonstration of all the homophobia going around the school. The girl who comes into the bathroom, Michela, is the one lying to get Jasmine, the Indian teacher, booted from the school. She's just attacking Mika - the girl washing her hands - because she (Michela) is a bully (and it forwards a plot about Mika going after bullying on campus). The bully asks Mika why her stepdad - who is a teacher at the school - didn't tell Mika about "Wendy Wilding," meaning Matt. Mika has no idea what she is talking about, but she's angry that the bully made a dig (a ridiculous one, at that) about her deceased mother. Michela, the bully, later gets busted for her lie about the teacher (mainly due to setting Mika off against bullying). YouTube LinkYouTube LinkYouTube LinkYouTube LinkHere's the download clip. No extra material, since everything was included in the YouTube clips. 215mb, 33:42 minute wmv file @ MegaUpload

I just wanted to thank Tubedout for the great job she's done compiling Matt/Colin clips from WR. Chris Geere is gorgeous, I found it hard to concentrate on what he was doing in the first clip of 3.15 when he was flitting around with his shirt all unbuttoned. But on a less shallow note, the look on his face completely broke my heart when his mum didn't want to hug him at the end of 3.15. Dorothy, there were 20 episodes in Season 3, so by my count there's another five more. However, from reading the episode summaries, Matt's role in the remaining five is minimal. Messyme, Season 4 started airing last week in the UK. Two of the 20 episodes have been shown so far, neither of which were Matt-centric. According to the episode summaries, the next three episodes don't seem like they'll be featuring Matt much either, except maybe in a supporting role to Steph. (I do love their friendship though, they're quite cute together. Not in a romantic way, like Matt's mum assumed, of course!) I really hope this season won't be like the last, where poor Matt only got one episode (3.15) that was focused on him. Also, if you live in the UK, you can watch Season 4 on BBC's iPlayer.

You're welcome! I totally agree on both points. Matt was ridiculously good looking at the beginning. And the moment with his mom was so sad. Thankfully she did the hand wave at the end! Something I really don't get it, can the students be this rude to the teachers??? Michaella is almost bullying Matt! Well, keep in mind that Waterloo Road is a troubled school that is working on giving kids, the majority of whom are from low income homes, a better education and shot at a future. Much like schools in the US, it is a lot harder for teachers to maintain discipline when faced with students already involved in criminal activities, uninterested parents, and low funding. So while, technically, no, students can't be that rude, it's also not like they can go and expel students who are. Unless they want to expel half the school. And Michela was an extreme case - she went well beyond rudeness to threatening the teacher. And it was a valid threat - it's a case of he said/she said. With the other students in the classroom too frightened of Michela to rat her out, her story could very much pose a threat to Matt. Just like she very nearly did get the other teacher, Jasmine, fired by lying about her. When it comes down to it, the school must protect the students, and they cannot simply assume that the teacher is innocent. Because the teachers aren't always innocent.

So the BBC had YouTube take down ALL of the Matt/Colin videos. That was really unexpected. I don't upload much from US shows, because I know they crack down on copyright infringement, but I really wasn't expecting it from a UK series. I am guessing that it is because Waterloo Road has aired on BBC America, and they have not yet aired Season 3 (not that it looks like they will, but apparently that doesn't matter). You would still think that they would want an increased audience and interest in their show in other countries, but whatever. Sometimes these networks are so slow to catch on to what YouTube and the like can actually do for them. Ugh! Anyway, I don't know yet what I will be doing about the old clips. Thankfully, y'all still have the download clips here. I may try to reup them to YouTube at a later point, but for now I'm just going to try to finish out this season and start with the two aired Season 4 episodes, so that the regular viewers of this storyline aren't left hanging. I will no longer be mentioning the BBC or the title, Waterloo Road, in the YouTube descriptions, in an attempt to keep them from getting taken down. Here are the latest clips, from Episode 317-319. Matt wasn't in Episode 316, and, unfortunately Colin is in none of these episodes. There is one more episode left to go in Season 3, then onto Season 4 (two have aired so far, the next airs on Wednesday). In regards to the discussion about Matt's storyline this season - there are spoilers out there that show that Matt will, eventually, have a pretty significant storyline this year. Unfortunately, it does not involve his love life. But since it does involve his home life (I'm trying to be vague to not spoil the whole thing), I am hopeful that his love life will be featured in some way. Episode 316 - Matt did not appear in this episode. Episode 317 - ALL Matt scenes included. Background - The students have been getting job experience interning in various fields. Donte and his girlfriend were working at a travel agency. They are now demonstrating their newfound skills in Matt's class. Donte's wife Chloe - they're separated - is the girl who is getting annoyed by their couple-y banter because she still has feelings for Donte (and he for her). But later in the episode she goes out with Colin's work colleague from Episode 315. I mainly just love how Matt was very open about his partner on "trip" being Colin. The deputy head teacher (like a Vice Principal) is having a HUGE disagreement with the head, and he has decided to quit. That is what he is informing the other teachers about in the lounge. The head manages to change his mind by the end of the episode, but their disagreement is still brewing. Meanwhile, one of the students has been on a green kick recently, and is staging a protest of the school trying to tear down trees to build an addition. She gets in touch with some radical activists, who take things too far. Including, as you see, throwing bricks through the school windows. Episode 318 - ALL Matt scenes included. Background - As you can pretty much tell, one of the students is going to be deported. The school head is trying to keep that from happening. At the end of the episode, she goes with the authorities to be with her family. Episode 319 - ALL Matt scenes included (which is just one short scenes, anyway) Background - Steph is currently in charge of fundraising for the school. At the beginning of the 2nd half of the season, she was in France, drumming up donations. She came back saying that she had met someone who promised a big donation to the school. He finally showed up at Waterloo Road in this episode, and backed out of the donation. Steph had drastically overstated his guarantee. This left the head and deputy head pretty angry with Steph. So when she ran into Matt, she was on her way to try again to convince the Frenchman to donate the money. At the end of the episode, he does donate the money, but it's pretty much decided that Steph should no longer be doing the fundraising. She's dreadful at it. I'm really sorry to hear about Youtube taking down your WR videos. The crackdown on Youtube clips from UK shows is relatively recent; one used to be able to find full episodes of British shows like Skins and Merlin on Youtube quite easily. It's a much better bet to leave out 'bbc' or 'waterloo rd' from the tags, although admittedly it'd make it harder to find on Youtube for the newbies.
Anyway, I just wanted to say thank you again. Matt looked good in the Divine Youth t-shirt but it was glaring since he was the only member of staff not wearing a formal shirt.

BBCAmerica didn't even air all of S2. I've seen S1 and S2 and some of S3 (like the first 6 eps ). BBCAmerica sucks because with all the good UK television out there, they broadcast the same 5 crap shows over and over and over outside of showing Torchwood, Primeval and Doctor Who.

Well, I just finished watching 4x03 and it was a Matt-less episode . I've read the spoiler about Matt's big storyline this season and, while it's always a good thing for Matt to have a storyline, it just seems rather boring and done before. Is it too much to hope for Matt to have two major storylines this series? The spoiler doesn't mention his love life but it doesn't exclude it either. So far, though, the new teacher has had more airtime than Matt - which doesn't bode well. (Although said new teacher is HOT! And has played gay before, but sadly I fear, not in this case. LOL)

No Matt in 4x04 either! It's a travesty!
Though the previews confirmed he'll be in the next one, but it doesn't look like he's got a storyline of his own yet.

Is nobody following this series anymore? Maybe the news that next week's episode looks to be the one with Matt's big storyline will tempt some of you back? As for tonight's episode, 4x05, Matt appeared very briefly in a couple of scenes: first looking uncomfortable due to the drug awareness campaign (it isn't mentioned directly but he must be using at all those parties he's been attending) and also a second scene which helps set up next week's storyline. Oh, and BTW, the hottie PE teacher had a scene in only a towel. Sadly, they seem to be putting him together with Jasmine Koreshi and not Matt.

I was ....kinda.... watching tonight - and yes - I did notice the hottie PE teacher in the shower scene. I have to be honest though - it's really not grabbing my attention that much - I'm just a bit about the "herofying" of disrespectful kids - okay, maybe I'm just getting old.......

momnoc, I'm sorry for spoiling that bit of info, it completely slipped my mind that we weren't going to discuss it until the clip from the S4 premiere was put up. I've PMed with the info if you want.
sheepiefarm, it's not just you, I find the kids quite appalling myself. But I'm not sure I'd call it "heroifying" - I mean, it's pretty obvious those kids are truly awful and not meant to be role models unlike, say, Marley. But this last episode changed my perception of Rose. I didn't like her at all before but I was slowly warming to her this episode. A week ago I wouldn't have imagined myself saying this but the last scene (and choice of music) was really sad. It was really cruel that, just as Rose makes an effort to be a good mother, the evil governor causes her kids to be taken away from her.

Sheepie and Justinate I too found the students to be disrespectful, unruly, etc.........Is this supposed to be a regular public school, or an "alternative", "reform school" campus? Thanks for the update Justinate! Tubedout Thanks so much for all you have done! Do you think there is any chance we will get vids and/or recaps again?
