I guess we'll have to wait and see just how friendly Iago and Gonzalo become... I agree, but spoilers for 11th and 17th tell us Gonzalo wants to be more than a friend, despite he knows so clearly that the Max and Iago's relationship is very strong, in spite of the distance. At the end of today's episody we have seen that in the next episode, Gonzalo goes to the market to see Iago (This next episode will be aired on December 9th, because next monday is holliday in Spain and there wont have El Cor).

The translations are so appreciated. At this rate some folk ( who's name shall be nameless ) will be asking you to translate Fisica O Quimica for his website. ;D I'm glad you like my translations, because my english is poor. Michelle and Danielle have exams until Christmas (Danielle is graduating), so I have to do an effort to replace them. I'm sorry I cant aid with the translation of Física O Química. I'm very busy and I only do translations for El Cor while Danielle couldnt do it. Besides, I'm not following this series. I'm not interested on hight school series (Juli, Alex, Lluna etc. story line in El Cor is enough for me). I'm seing clips in his website, and that doesnt motivate me to see the full episode in spanish TV. I think El Cor treated years ago this topic with Max's and Enric's coming outs, and I think in a better way. El Cor gave us unforgetable scenes, as the Enric's kiss to Max before Pep in the Pizzeria (almost as unforgetable as the first Iago's kiss to Max!).

We have news about Bernat's activities. In a radio interview, he talks about his studies on theatre, and about what is preparing. Next Wednesday he opens "Dublin Carol", until Jaunary 11th. At the end of this month, he will play "Búfals" during three weeks, in Versus Teatre in Barcelona (this is a new information, because this play doesnt appear in the theater's web). This theater is very close to the third one, the official National Theater of Catalonia, where Bernat will play the second part of "Bufals", "Lleons", from march 12th to april 5th. And afterwards, he will prepare the thirt part, "Girafes".
He's very busy, and seems he wont be free to do "El Cor" (or another thing) until april, whose episodies will be aired in May.
In next Tuesday's episode Iago will have a great smile and Gonzalo is sad. It's probable Iago will say him Max will come back to Barcelona for Christmas Hollidays. But in last spoiler (Dec. 19th) dont appear nothing about them, so it's posible or a big surprise for us, or his return will be later.

Carmela, thanks for the updates! I'm afraid to hope for a Christmas appearance by Bernat, because if he doesn't show up I'll be disappointed. (Now I can't help it.) At least he's in Barcelona. There are actors in New York that work on a daily tv show during the day and appear in the theater at night. Of course it's unlikely Max will be popping back and forth from Mozambique, so aside from the possibility of a brief appearance at the holidays I guess we won't be seeing him regularly till the end of the season (if at all!). Sigh.
Am I right that there's a break after the episode of the 19th? For just a couple of weeks?
P.S. Your English isn't poor! We really appreciate your help!

Hi, Dorothy, Meidocfan, thanks your kind words! This long week end, the official forum has been burning because the radio interview to Bernat Quintana. I will do the translation for you because several interpretations of it can be done. But most of people think Bernat Quintana have no interest to follow in El Cor. Now, he only thinks about his theatrical studies and his plays. I think as you both, if he wanted, he could have found half an hour to do a scene before Chistmas. Now, he's very busy, but after April 5th until July, he could to shoot some episodes, if he wanted to do it. About the production of a film of Max in Africa, I think the producers and writters wanted something like this: Max said in his goodbye to Iago that he went with people from the Barcelona's Clinic Hospital, and to Mozambique. Well, a doctor from this hospital is testing in this country a vaccine against malaria. In the series, Max is the border between Mozambique and Tanzania; well, both countries are where the vacine is tested! I think this is the reason for Max to be in this country. This year, the Prince of Asturias's awards (a little, the spanish Nobels) went to the fight against malaria, and the catalan doctor is one of the winners. I think the intention of Catalan TV, TV3, was to talk about all this, Christmas is the better time and Max the better way to do it, but... Does Bernat want to? And I agree with you, Meidocfan, El Cor is dying. But Miss Peggy isnt the worst! She said Isabeleta that Rafalet is as Charlotte's son as her's, and the fact she is the biological mother doesnt make her to have more rights over him. There are people that discuss the gay or lesbian families (like Isabeleta's sect!), and it's important to say this. Eva found a link about the play Bernat opens this Wednesday. He's the boy sat in the chair: exit.elperiodico.com/default.asp?idpublicacio_PK=58&idioma=CAS&idnoticia_PK=567648&idseccio_PK=1354

The brief scene today with Iago/Gonzalo/Rafa -- Iago was clearly talking about Max (did I hear "Christmas/Nadal," too?) -- what did Iago say? I've learned quite a bit of Catalan, but sometimes I can't understand a thing!
Carmela? (Thank you, thank you!)
ETA: OK, I can see from the TV3 excerpt that Max did tell Iago he was coming for Christmas! We'd better get to see it...

Yes, Dorothy, Max comes back for Christmas hollidays! And what a wanderful smile has Iago! And poor Gonzalo! (the spoilers tell us he will attack, I supose hopeless). "IAGO: When he has said me he will come for Christmas, I couldnt believe it! I thought I wont see him before a year! GONZALO: You are lucky. IAGO: I will ask to Rafa the day he will come and the two days after. I'm going to make up for time whatever!" Ah, Dorothy, El Cor stops all the Christmas hollidays, that in Spain last until Jaunary 7 (for students). And usually stops the friday before December 24th (last day in the schools), but in TV3 web appears an episode for monday 22th! Is it an error, or there will be an extra episode (with Max etc) ? I hope so !

Remember though that this is a soap known for it's twists. I could see something happening and Max can't make it, causing Iago to become more depressed and giving an opening for Gonzalo.

Being away for a while but I keep following El Cor and I'd like to say my two cent now. I'm pretty sure Max isn't coming back for Christmas, from what I guessed of Bernat's interview, it seems to me the actor has no intentions to coming back on El Cor, at least for this season. I agree with Bernatfan, this is just a twist for Iago to start thinking it's time to move on with his life without Max and maybe this will lead him to start a new relationship with Gonzalo I was truly hoping to see Max and Iago reunited in the future and this is really let down for me but after the disappointing way the authors write out Max from the script I should be used to this treatment, but it sucks every time.

Thanks, Bernatfan, for remember us this beautiful moment! And I hope we (as Iago!) can see Bernat before the Christmas break! But it's posible that happens what you say. I would like to see more of the Iago's marvelous smile, and without Max, that is imposible.

Bernatfan, I am also afraid that Max won't make it, causing Iago to be miserable and more susceptible to Gonzalo's advances. I think if he were actually coming back, they would have just surprised us. We can, of course, hope for the double twist -- we think he's coming back, he can't make it somehow (disappointing everyone, especially Iago and me), and then DOES surprise us by showing up after all. I can hope!
Carmela, thank you for the scheduling info!

EPISODE 1691: CANELONI AFFAIR (6th episode of Iagonzo story line)FIRST SCENE: GONZALO AND PILAR IN THE MARKETGONZALO: Caneloni of spinach and pine seeds! Mmmmmmmmm Iago will lick his fingers! PILAR: Of spinach and pine seeds? I'm going to take them for Beni! GONZALO: No, no, no, no, we cant choose the same dish because Iago and Beni live together. Imagine they have the tipical conversation about what they had lunch today and it happens that both of them had lunch caneloni of spinach and pine seeds. We come to light! PILAR: Si, si, si, si. You have reason. I'm taking the caneloni and you will look for another dish. GONZALO: Yes, man, choose you another dish! PILAR: How do you want me to choose another dish? Beni needs to eat many vegetables. GONZALO: No, these caneloni, I have made them expressly for Iago. PILAR: Dont it's said that custumer has always the reason? GONZALO: They arent for sell! Pilar, dont force me to say to Beni that you arent who cooks for him. PILAR: Would you do it to earn? GONZALO: Dont put me to test! PILAR: Look, I will pay you the double of their cost. GONZALO: They arent for sell! These caneloni are for Iago! But Pilar gets the caneloni (we dont know now how!) and takes them to Beni, as we can see in the second scene! (Eva thinks maybe Pilar blackmailed Gonzalo: she would said him that would tell to Iago all about him if he doesnt give her the dish) Ah, spinach with pine seeds (and raisins and bacon) is a catalan recipe: "Catalan spinach" SECOND SCENE: PILAR AND BENI AT THE CHURROS STANDBENI: Mmmmmmmmmmmm! Caneloni of spinach! They remember me what my grandmother made in Christmas. They have a taste! So well placed, and they arent bigs nor smalls! You have a good hand, havent you? PILAR: It isnt a salad but it suits you to eat green from time to time. BENI: You must have passed hours in the kitchen, eh? This Béchamel sause so sweet... When I make caneloni, they look as a churro. How do you make it? Because your Béchamel sause looks...., doesnt look like milk watered down, do you understand me? PILAR: It isnt as difficult as seems. BENI: Isnt it as difficult as seems? You cant fool me! I know why you dont want to talk about this topic. PILAR: Why? BENI: Chef's secret! Ja, ja, ja, ja! It's like magic, you dont have to explain it, I dont know if I explain myself. PILAR: If you like it, I know that if some day I make caneloni I will save you some of it. BENI: At the end, you will have to receive it to me. This is like a catering at home! PILAR: Look, if you dont eat it, I will throw it to the garbage. Roser eat like a small bird! BENI: Listen. You know Max is coming for Christmas, dont you? It seems to me I will ask you to make it, because I'm sure he will like them, I dont know what he's eating there! PILAR: Listen you, why dont you cook them? BENI: Me? Je, je, je, if I make them, they will seem carquinyolis No, no, no, no. PILAR: No, you havent undertood me. If you want, I can explain you how to make them. Tomorrow, why dont you come to my home? BENI: Are you sure? PILAR: I dont, it has been a bad idea. BENI: Not, if it seems to me a fucking good idea! But if I agree, you will have to explain me the secret. Are you sure? PILAR: Dont warry. I will be glad to explain you how you to do it. Tomorrow we are going to go to my home. We will meet to diner. BENI: Well, but with a condition? PILAR: What is this? BENI: That you let me to come with some wine. We have to strew it well, havent we? Je, je, je. je

Thanks for the translation Carmela. Neither Beni or Iago have a clue that Pilar and Gonzalo are after them, do they. Friday's episode with Beni & Roser singing is hilarious, until it segues into Fidel getting a beating and Alex being terrorized by Gerard.

Ha, ha, Meidocfan, I always like your humor!
And I hope we finally could to see Max coming by surprise. If he does, Iago will find him very different! Bernat has grown very much, as you can see in the link I have put in "Max Carbó". Pity we cant see more of him, by now he and Iago would do a still better couple, in my opinion.
I wonder how the writters thought us to see Iago when Max will call him with the bad news. He will be with Gonzalo? The cook will do something to consol him? Until now, he's prudent and I think he has get more than a hearth with his tenderness in the "bracelet scene", that I'm translating now. It also can be named the "onion scene". Do you remember the first night Iago past at Beni's home? When Max was preparing spagheti with garlic? "Max, there is a thing you have to know if you want our relationship goes well. I dont stand garlic!"
EPISODE 1691: THIRD SCENE (BRACELET SCENE)
GONZALO: 40 minutes in the oven and you prick a teethprick. And if itsn wet when you out it, voilà! Gonzalo's vegetables cake. IAGO: Does it have onion? GONZALO: Yes, from Figueres [high quality]! Dont tell me you dislikes onion! IAGO: It disgusts me if it isnt well crushed and I notice its small bits. GONZALO: Damm it! I would have to take you another thing. NELSON: You are so fussy, Iaguito! Never look a gift horse... GONZALO: I think I have something left, and I will have to throw it. IAGO: You dont, be quiet, I'm going to lunch something afterwards. And thanks! Ah, open it! (he gives Gonzalo a small box with a bracelet) The Christmas gift for Max! (it's engraved) For him to remember me where he was. GONZALO [with an expression that melted my hearth]: I think he doesnt need a bracelet to remember you! NELSON: Sterling silver! You have rolled out the red carpet. IAGO: Max is worth of it! Do you think he will like it? GONZALO: I would like it. You have a very good taste. IAGO: I still owe you a beer, dont think I forget it. What do you think about? GONZALO: It's perfect for me. I've finished the orders. If you want now... IAGO: Now... Rafa have let me alone by now. GONZALO: Perhaps it's better in the evening. IAGO: In the evening... I have arranged with Max to talk by Messenger. Look, we will meet another day. I will call you, we arent hurried. GONZALO: I agree. Have a nice day! Goodbye. NELSON/IAGO: Goodbye!

EPISODE 1691: FOURTH SCENE- NELSON AND GONZALO IN PERIS
GONZALO: Then, am I so evident? NELSON: What that are you gay or that you like Iago? GONZALO: That I like Iago! NELSON: Little tiguer, if you only lack a neon sing advertising it! GONZALO: This is because the dishes I give him, isnt it? I knew it I was too much evident! I'm pathetic. NELSON: You arent pathetic at all! It's normal, you like the boy! GONZALO: This is the problem! I like him, but he doesnt like me. NELSON: Look, Gonzalito, you seems to me a good boy. For this reason, I'm going to tell you what I'm going to. Forget Iago! These things, it's better there are told to you slightly. GONZALO: The first time he agreed to have a drink,I thought I had some posibility. This is because I'm a person who gets one's hopes up. NELSON: Dont warm your blood, my brother! It's posible that in other circunstances.... But Max is too much Max. GONZALO: And Iago is too much Iago. I know that, when he talks about to meet to take a beer, he really is getting rid of me, he has no intention to call me. But I dont mind. I will insist. I will wait his call what were necessary. (his phone rings) Iago? PILAR: Iago? What do you want to say with Iago? Gonzalo, this is Pilar! Listen, you must to teach me how to do caneloni! Do you want to pay attention to me? It's urgent! I need the recipe from start to finish! No, no, no, not by phone! We have to meet, we have to do it well. Gonzalo, I'm your best custumer! You will teach me to make caneloni and it's enough! Very well, until tomorrow, goodbye!
In episode 1692, Gonzalo was giving the "haute cuisine/Michelin stars"(as he says) ingredients to make caneloni to Pilar, but it's enough for her. When Gonzalo tells her it's very similar to Catalan spinach, she said she only cooks grilled steak and boiled vegetables. So, Gonzalo answered: "This is the way the country goes!" ;D. She said she needs to know his touch, but Gonzalo begins from the start: how to clean spinach!
Afterward, it's suposed Pilar teachs the Gonzalo's recipe to Beni, and they cook and eat together the caneloni the prepared... when Roser (to whom Pilar sent to Carmeta's home to sleep there!) arrived: she toke with her the karaoke Pilar payed for let her alone with Beni (Roser is blackmailing her sister to do what she want if Pilar doesnt want Beni to know she goes after him). And when Roser began to sing in Carmeta's home, there were sleeping also the Carmeta's litte grandson, that woke up, and Roser had to come back to her home!
So, we had a very funny scene with Beni singing the rock song that sounds while Gerard and his men atacked Fidel (for not to pay and defy Gerard) and his son Alex (for going with Lluna).

Gerard has been working on Juli to turn against Orpinell (like that would be hard). By helping Juli against the bullies he can become close to Juli and gain his trust. It all boils down to the fact that Gerard wants Patricia for himself and will do anything to get rid of Orpinell. If he finds out about Ros Orpinell is done. Eva did a extension of the bracelet engraved's photo, and there is three words : "Sempre amb tu", "Always with you".
Todays episode is a continuation of the "Caneloni affair". Iago meets Gonzalo and Pilar when they are talking about the dishes, and see how Gonzalo gives them to Pilar! It's very funny because, or course, Pilar's caneloni (really, Gonzalo's) are better than Beni's, Iago says. And Pilar says to Gonzalo he must make them today (last day of work before hollidays, for Gonzalo, because after, he will cook for his family) because Iago asked Pilar to make them for Max. And, of course, if they are for Iago, Gonzalo MUST to do it!
In the secod scene, Gonzalo says goodbye to Iago until after hollidays, and try to meet him to take a drink, but Iago says when Max will arrive, they will pass all the days at home! (doing it, of course!)
In the thirsd scene, VERY VERY FUNNY, Iago and Beni get that dishes from Pilar really are Gonzalo's. Iago says to Beni that, OF COURSE, Pilar goes after Beni. So Pilar arrives, Beni hides from her, and she says Iago to tell Beni he can go her home when he wants (and let the two boys, Max and Iago, alone at their home). So, when Iago says to Beni, laughing, that he couldnt keep her off him, Beni answers that he isn't the only one who has a problem, and looks at the dish, and... the Iago's expression tells us he understands now Gonzalo goes after him!
I will do the translation of dialogues when I could.

How cute were Beni and Iago today! It was great to see Iago so happy and the rapport between him and Beni. We can already see Beni's reaction to learning that Pilar is after him -- but we don't really see Iago's reaction when he realizes Gonzalo is interested in him. Only that he is surprised (stunned?). I guess we won't see Gonzalo again before the break? Anyway, what a fun scene today!
And if we don't get to see Max at all after the "males noticies" -- that's just mean. It's wrong to toy with us like that after all we've put up with this season. So I'm still hoping for the "surprise!" appearance of Max on Christmas Eve.
Thanks, Carmela! I'm looking forward to the translation.
And meidocfan -- I refuse to believe Marc Clotet is losing his hair!

Hi, everybody!
I'n not going to talk about Marc's hair (I havent any opinion about it), but I agree Marc is always very beautiful, with hair or without. In official forum, we're talking about if we will see Max before Christmas, or about Iago's reaction if Max wouldnt come (will he call Gonzalo?).
Now, I'm translating yesterday's episode,1695, ( Ep. 6 of Iagonzo's story line and ep. 2 of Caneloni affair).
FIRST SCENE: PILAR, GONZALO AND IAGO IN THE MARKET
(It's amusing to see Gonzalo's face and expresion all this dialogue. And it's clear Pilar takes advantage from the fact Gonzalo likes Iago!)
PILAR: Thank you very much. I will have enough of it for all Hollidays. GONZALO: I think it comes out better to me than anytime, despite I have many work wiht all the Christmas dinners. People is a lot of cheeky! I'm sure that people in Christmas day put the dishes in the plate and they say they are who cook them! PILAR (to Iago): Hellow! IAGO (surprised): Does you buy dishes to Gonzalo? PILAR: Yes, because I have a niece that has asked me to buy her the Christmas dishes. IAGO (smiling): Your niece will be well satisfied. Gonzalo is a very good cook. PILAR/GONZALO: He, he! IAGO (to Pilar): And you also are an excellent cook. The caneloni of the past day were impressive. PILAR: Yes, I have some ability (and Gonzalo moves his head!) IAGO: Beni made caneloni and they came out very bad to him. Listen, I thought you perhaps could make us a plate of them, because Max is coming for Christmas, if it goes well to you. PILAR: Yes, I think Max will be excited with homemade caneloni, we dont know how he eat, poor son! GONZALO (to Iago): If you want, I also can make them to you. IAGO: No, Gonzalo, I dont want to give you more work. PILAR: And it doesnt cost nothing to me! GONZALO: Sure! PILAR: I'm going to make them to you this very day. IAGO: Ah, then, thank you very much! And dont tell Beni I have criticized his caneloni! Goodbye! PILAR/GONZALO: Goodbye! GONZALO: This very day? PILAR: If you have so much work, you cant mind another order! GONZALO: Orders must be requested well in advance, and more in these days! PILAR: You know I'm a good custumer, and with all I spend in your shop, you cant say me not. GONZALO: Yes, I can! PILAR: You wont do it, you wont let me high and dry. You have listened how they like your caneloni. GONZALO: Exactly, MY caneloni! PILAR: After lunch I'm going to come to pick up them. Surely, they will be very succesful . As all the dishes you cook! You're an artist, Gonzalo! (giving him claps in his face).
SECOND SCENE: IAGO AND GONZALO IN THE MARKET (later)
GONZALO: Now, I'm going to close for hollidays and I wont take it more. IAGO: Thank you very much! If you're getting me used to eat focking well! I dont know what will I do these days without you! Listen, and you, what are you doing now, do you go somewhere? GONZALO: I dont, I will stay by here, cooking for my family. They dont understand that to be cook dont mean I have to cook always, but well, we all eat well this way. If dont, I dont know what I can find in my dish, he, he! Listen, if you want, we can meet some day to go out. IAGO: I think I wont go out from home in all the hollidays. When Max will arrive, I wont let him tread the street! (Gonzalo laughs and says yes with his head. He knows what Iago is talking about!)
