I'm no expert but from reading comments here and there I always get the impression that folk prefer GagaOOLala over the other companies. Grammatically their subtitles appear to be more fluent and often have better appropriation of words. Also, they seem to be more quirky when it comes to descriptive nouns to explain indistinctive visual moments, (eg) a phone constantly pings indicating new text messages but we aren't shown what they say so Gaga will add something like [multiple smutty gay texts arriving] or if there are other people chatting near the main characters we might get [Background gay murmuring] or [angry gay quarrel] to give more context to the scene. etc. Thanks Antistatic. You're analysis roughly matches my current view as well. With the TV version of Gaga's app it is mostly usable now, so I've been picking them for shows which appear on multiple streams. I do like the extra background comments they put up, I had just noticed those.
Interesting to know about the change in interpretation at times that show up.

It looks like Domundi have taken a leaf out of Be On Cloud's book and are going to have their own reality series called 'DMD Friendship' which appears to be an almost identical copy of BOC's 'Hidden Character' reality show. The two winners of that competition were cast as the main leads in the upcoming 'DFF ▪ Dead Friend Forever' horror BL. This new show, which will feature DMD's Next-Gen actors has a similar scenario in which they will be living together, honing their acting skills and competing to find their perfect partner. The two winners will star in their very own DMD original series next year. Poppy Ratchapong will be hosting the show which will be available to view on TikTok and the Mandee Channel. It will premiere on Sunday 17th December.

It isn't the worst idea for Domundi. They already have a large cast of boys, and they can't coast forever on the longevity of their current couples. They need to setup new pairings in their latest generation of boys before the 1st Gen Domundi guys leave for other opportunity. The biggest issue is probably the fact that Domundi is so slow in filming shows that even when they have a winning couple, their show might not be filmed for a year or two.
Speaking of Domundi, I am seeing Mii2 is making some new content again. I hope they give them a new show now that Jimmy seems to be doing better. Still sad they weren't able to do Middleman's Love

Park Seoham, who played Jang JaeYoung in 'Semantic Error' was officially discharged from military service on Saturday (9th Dec) and has already posed for new official photos with his agency. Here's a couple of them: You may remember in his last interview before he entered military service, he famously said "If there's a possibility for Semantic Error Season 2, I am pleased to do it after I am discharged."It's been announced he will hold a press conference and a two-day fan meeting on the 6th and 7th January where, hopefully we might get an update on his future intentions and whether 'Semantic Error 2' is still a likelihood in the future.

That is short. I thought Korea's service period in the military is 2 years? I think South Korean conscription generally runs between 18 months and 2 years, depending on a number of factors (of which there seems to be many) which can change the required length of service. At age 19/20 all males are required to undergo an evaluation and get assigned a grade, with each grade usually determining the conscription length. All sorts of factors come into play including things like (for example) being an only son (which can shorten the time involved as consideration is given to family responsibilities such as an only son having to look after old or debilitated parents or run the family farm/business, etc) or being a 'child born out of wedlock' (?); already working in the medical profession or being classed as Sports/Arts personnel (a contentious one which has seen many classical musicians and sports stars getting shorter lengths of service than their more popular counterparts in the acting or K pop industry, who are not deemed prestigious enough by the authorities to be given the same regard). There are many other caveats in place which can alter the conscription timeframe also. On top of that the different military branches - Army/Navy/Air Force all have their own separate conscription lengths of service too, so all in all, it seems like quite a complicated and convoluted system is in operation there. Park SeoHam's conscription lasted 21 months.

A couple of weeks back Cheque Wacharawee officially announced he had quit 9NAA Productions, which plunged a couple of the company's upcoming BL's into uncertainty.
One of them, 'Lovely Addict' is currently rumoured to have been shelved, while the other 'Kiseki series' (aka 'Kiseki Chapter 1') was left in limbo. It now looks like 9NAA have jettisoned the first chapter altogether and are instead moving forward with the so-called second chapter instead. This was originally going to be the follow-up story after the first had established the series romantic travelogue theme.
Anyhoo, here's the trailer link for 'Kiseki Chapter 2'. It will premiere on 15th December.
Quick synopsis: "P is waiting for his friend Beboy in a Tokyo park. He's never been to Japan before so is looking forward to being shown around the city. While they are wandering they meet twins Pan and Plai who have come to Japan for a different reason. By the time they meet and get close, they have learned a lot about the meaning of life and when their time together runs out, their memories still remain in their hearts and their feelings will continue."

Back in September the pilot trailer for 'Knock Knock Boys' debuted and now they have put out the BTS videos for it.
Here's the trailer again, and the BTS videos if you're interested. The actual series isn't due out until summer next year.
Quick synopsis: "A group of friends living together in the same house, make a deal that whoever can help Almond win his crush gets free rent for a year from him. Latte, Tanwa, and Peak all agree and thus starts a risqué mission that might lead them into love!"

"Lover Merman” the upcoming BL fantasy from Go2Infinity which is based on Lita.P and Guy Suwanroj’s novel of the same name, has just released its pilot trailer. The series is currently scheduled for next summer: Quick synopsis: "Phurit and Phana are business partners and co-owners of the 'Full and Half' bar by the sea. Neither of them realise just how entangled they are about to become with their bar staff, one of whom happens to be a merman... Is the most impossible love about to become possible?"

Back in May, Jumdee Channel who had brought us 'My Boy the Series' put out a pilot trailer for a new production called 'Universe of Love'. They provided no detail about its storyline and the only thing I was able to glean from it at the time was that it starred Tempo Jirawut, Vee Weeraphong, Keaw Areerat and Korn Pongsakorn as the four main protagonists. After a few months the trailer was made private on YouTube and it looked like the project had quietly bitten the dust as Jumdee began putting all their efforts into promoting a different series called 'The Last Time' instead. Out of the blue, Jumdee have now put out another pilot trailer for 'Universe of Love' (or maybe it's the same one again?). There's still no detail as to what the story is about, but hopefully when the new trailer premieres later today we'll be able to get a gist of the plot. I can't remember where I picked up the poster below but it was connected to the original trailer so may not be relevant any longer.

The small Vietnamese BL production company RL Studio (aka Team RL), have announced that long time actor Im Hạo Dân has left the company. Hạo Dân was a ubiquitous face in their projects, including "Stupid Boys, Stupid Love", "You Are My Stupid Boy", "The Star Always Follow You" and it's sequel "Stormy Honeymoon" and the more recent "Stupid Genius".

Back on 21st November the Thailand Marriage Equality Bill got a mention here in the Hub when Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin stated that the Cabinet had approved the Bill, and the draft law would be submitted to Parliament to legalise same-sex marriage in Thailand. On Thursday the Bill had its first reading and was passed by an overwhelming 360 votes to 10. In total, four equal marriage bills were debated; the main one presented by the government, another by a civil rights group and one each by the 'Move Forward' and 'Democratic' parties. The landslide vote paves the way for a committee to be formed to merge the elements of the four separate bills into one single bill that will be put forward for debate and a final vote in the future.

It's unclear whether the new BL from Mind Trio, the small production company behind 'On Cloud Nine', 'Once In Memory' and 'Calculating Love' is a one off short story or a mini-series. I've seen it described as both, though I think it's more likely to be a mini-series. Still, the information isn't certain at the moment. They haven't even released a synopsis for the story! So, until there's a bit more news, I'll just leave the teaser here:

Back in early November MGY Entertainment released the pilot trailer for their supernatural BL series 'The Hidden Moon' which featured Ben Brasier as Mas, a house-bound ghost, and Folk Touch, as Khen, the human he falls in love with. It was later revealed that despite filming the trailer, neither Ben nor Folk had actually been cast in the series and would need to apply along with everyone else at the open casting call. They did... but weren't successful, and the roles went instead to two rookie actors, Kinn Thanachai playing Khen and David Matthew Roberts playing Mas.

No sooner do we hear about Mike Chinnarat leaving GMMTV, than we get the news that Fluke Pusit has also departed for pastures new. Known mainly for his roles in 'The Shipper', 'A Boss And A Babe' and 'The Warp Effect', rumours started circulating after he wasn't announced for any new projects in the next year and when asked about it, replied that he was only likely to get another shot at acting with GMMTV if one of his fellow actors fell ill and he had to replace them. Fluke confirmed his exit yesterday on his Instagram where he thanked GMMTV for their love and expressed his gratitude to everyone he has worked with who pushed and supported him. “I don’t know what will happen next. But I will try to do every opportunity given the best I can. I will develop, improve, and change for the better. And I will keep making my fans who love me smile. Thank you for always supporting me.”

The VIdol Boys Love project which as been running since last summer and has comprised of the BL series 'Stand By My Side', 'You Are Mine', 'VIP Only' and the upcoming 'Anti Reset' are all about to have special episodes continuing each of their respective stories. However, they are at present only going to be made available as part of an album (boxset) for the VBL Project which will include picture book, postcards, the full 10 episode series and the new extra episodes which will be on USB stick. Go here if you want to know more (You'll need to use google translate). Here's the teaser: * It's not clear when (or even if) the special episodes will be made available to view in any form outside the boxsets.

Yeah, I remember this one as it was the first show Jimmy is doing since he took the break. However, there is no indication that they are paired in this show. Stand By My Side was such a nice fluff BL. I would love to get more of it, but not sure limiting it to the boxset is a good idea. Hopefully the specials will be released elsewhere afterwards.
