Looks like they were filming some promo material - the author posted about it. Not sure if it's official or for a magazine, but hope it means the premiere is not far off now.

There's a new poster and the promise of a full trailer tomorrow, but I'm more concerned about the strapline about this show being "an eight-chapter story". Does this mean it's a limited series, with no prospect of a second season? Here I was hoping we had a new Love, Victor to take over once that show ends this summer. http://instagram.com/p/CcQf0rhNIiv The cast are also appearing in the next issue of Attitude. http://instagram.com/p/CcQBAHnvltw

This is going to be so adorable. But I do side-eye them making sure to include a lesbian kiss in the trailer. I hope that is the Netflix marketing department's choice and not the show's.

Not a fan of the trailer. This show is suppsoed to be about two gay guys, right? So whyy did the trailer show a lesbian kiss? Makes no sense and it's so annoying.

Fair warning to those expecting this to be a direct adaptation of the comics. The Attitude interview with the leads has one of them state that the show is more of an ensemble piece than the comics. I have to admit I'm a little disappointed because one of the things I loved about the comics was that it was unabashedly centered on Nick and Charlie - everyone else played supporting roles. Does Netflix believe that a show led by, and focused on, two gay males cannot attract fans by themselves? It seems to be the case with every other gay-centric show ( Love, Victor is another very similar example). At least here we have some consolation is that the other stories are LGBTQ+ rather than straight (the situation on Love, Victor until the season 2 finale). Anyway here are some new still images: http://instagram.com/p/CcSyZe_N2UG

It does look super adorable! A bit more teenybopper-ish than I was expecting but I'm fine with that.
I'm not familiar with the original material, but the trailer made it seem a bit predictable, yet heartwarming... I'm in!

Well, i think there's an obviouus reason for not going with the gay relationship more than a bit of hints.
The main character have a thing with other guy (a closeted one, and it seems the actors are dating in real life) and Nick is supposed to be straight, so part of the story is all the is he is is not, and if they are going to end together and all that jazz. Put them showing affection in the trailer doesn't seem the best way to keep the tension

I think the show being an ensemble was expected since the comic is short. They have to fill 8 episodes of 45 minutes.
I just hope that means side characters having more airtime by having them interact more with Charlie and Nick and no Love Victor type of side plots, where they are completely separate from the main storyline.

This CelebWikiCorner bio on Kit Conner has a paragraph about his relationship status (if you are prepared to believe they are any more informed than anyone else): Is Kit Conner Dating Joe Locke Or Sebastian Croft? The fandom of "Heartstopper" has come together to "ship" the relationship between the cast members that play Ben (Sebastian Croft), Charlie (Joe Locke), and Nick (Kit Connor). As cute as it sounds, Kit Conner is unfortunately single and not dating anyone from the show either. 'Heartstopper' is also expected to be the "anti-Euphoria" teen drama. According to the recent interview by Rachel Aroesti, the targeted audience consist mostly of young viewers, the LGBTQIA+ community, and their allies.

Why do the lesbians feature more in both the trailer and the promo pics than the actual gay guys the show is supposed to be about? This does not give me much hope. I saw a Youtuber posted a 53-second clip of all the Nick/Charlie scenes from the trailer which I suspect has led to this impression, which upon rewatching the trailer, I'm happy to say is misleading. Nearly the entire trailer (save for 4 quick flashes: two of the lesbians, one of the straight boy, and another of him with the trans girl) has one or both of the boys, and everything else serves to further their story. I suspect they are keeping the "will they/won't they" outcome out of the trailer to preserve some air of mystery, although I don't get why when any fool could see at this point it has to be "they will". What I gave the side-eye to was the decision to draw attention to the lesbian kiss. Now I could be wrong, and the trailer is actually misleading us in the wrong direction with those Nick and/or Charlie scenes taking up much less airtime, but for now I am actually feeling more optimistic about how much Nick/Charlie content the show will have. The promo stills were, I think, designed to showcase the whole ensemble so they chose not to put 2 dozen of the boys. As it is, they each appear 4 times in the stills, whereas the other cast members only appear once or (at most) twice each. I think the show being an ensemble was expected since the comic is short. They have to fill 8 episodes of 45 minutes. I just hope that means side characters having more airtime by having them interact more with Charlie and Nick and no Love Victor type of side plots, where they are completely separate from the main storyline. The comics actually have a solid amount of content despite only focusing on Nick/Charlie, so if they really wanted to, they could be the sole focus of the show. The scenes shown in the trailer run all the way up to volume 3 at least (Alice Oseman is currently publishing volume 7). There's one key relationship from volume 1 which doesn't even appear in the trailer, although the actor appears in the stills. I do suspect they will give some subplots to the supporting characters (or maybe more accurately, have those subplots which were off-canvas in the comics, play out onscreen). Those plots are largely separate from the boys, and that's my concern, but at least they are all LGBTQ+ relationships.

Eh, is most of the actor/actress in this series even out? Has that been verified anywhere else, or is this the reporter pulling things out of thin air?
