What do people think of the writing of this series, compared to the original? I am findng it rather clumsy. They're packing too much in too short a span of time. I can understand if they wanted to build up to a suicide attempt by Robbe but they seem to have steered clear of that so it feels more like drama for its own sake. There really should've been more time (buildup and aftermath) devoted to the gay-bashing incident. I like Robbe's friendship with Milan, Zoe and Senne (Eskild, Noora and William from the original) more than with his group of guy friends. That lot barely seem to care about him, even Jens (the Jonas counterpart). I suspect they will go with a homophobic reaction from them, as opposed to the original where they basically accepted him right away without batting an eyelid.

"They're packing too much in too short a span of time" .Yes true, and YET it's also clumsily paced, because they didn't introduce the Evan character until episode 3 in this wtFock, whereas in the original we see Evan 11 mins into the first episode- so we immediately know Isac has the hots for him.
Virtually nothing happens during Episodes 1 and 2 of wtFOCK
The consequence of the gay theme being absent from the first two episodes is that we have absolutely NO IDEA Robbe is into lads until he meets Sander at the beginning of episode 3 and he and Sander do the Dance-of-infatuation around the supermarket accompanied by Bowie's Rebel Rebel as soundtrack. His gayness just seemed to come out of nowhere!

well there is this, where Zoe thinks she sees Robbe kissing a boy, but it's a bit of a blink and you'll miss it kissing scene from (I think) series one. But it doesn't go anywhere and in context it makes no sense because if Robbe is kissing boys in series 1 then then why is he so full of internalised homophobia and surprised at his own gay desires in series three??! streamable.com/qclnp

We have had two entire episodes of S3 where Robbe's gayness was not mentioned. Not once. Despite this supposed to be Robbe's gay story.
Then in the middle of Robbe's story we now have Zoe's story about being sexually assaulted, which i assume (cos I didn't watch wtFOCK series 1 & 2) is from Zoe's story in Series 1 or 2.
I keep asking myself WTF!!!?? What is the writer thinking? Where is this all going? Is the point that Robbe is going to be persuaded to report his queer bashing to the police cos he's influenced by Zoe going to court?
Are the two threads, 1) Sander mental illness/Robbe's coming out/Boy squad advising Robbe, and 2) Zoe's sexual assault, going to somehow magically intertwine before the end and lead to some amazing resolution?
I think the writer has lost control of the story, maybe got bored with the traditional SKAM plot for series 3, and is just throwing everything at this to be 'different' and is doing it badly.
I hope I'm wrong. But I shall continue watching as I am enjoying it, despite its stupid faults

I gave up on Series 4 of the original norwegian SKAM, it was just tedious.

Hmm, it feels like they are exploring Sander wanting to stay closeted after the gay-bashing rather than attributing his reaction to mental illness.

Sander: Good morning? Robbe: Hey Sander. Sorry I haven’t texted you back yet. But that wall… That was the drawing you showed me, right? Could you come over? Attachments:
