I'm sorry to see this season end. No it wasn't perfect - the pacing was all over the place, and I find it discouraging that the boys never reported their bashing - but the main actors were really effective and the chemistry between the couple was off the charts. I'm especially grateful that they were allowed to have this season - it's pretty pathetic that, in 2019, non-erasure is what gay guys have to be thankful for, but that's the world we live in today. WTFock did right by the gay community in choosing to keep season 3's principal protagonist gay and the central romance between two boys. I notice they didn't give us a clear indicator of who the next season's principal protagonist will be in the closing moments of this season, but I take it that's par the course for WTFock. I take it as a given that they will be renewed for another season after the ratings success of this one, but it will be a tall order to retain their viewership. I hope they find a more organic way of integrating the gay couple's story into the next season - contrary to popular opinion, I think WTFock did pretty well on that front with Zoe's story spillover from season 2, unlike OG Skam's season 4 insertions of their gay couple which felt incredibly forced. I'm not against giving these concessions - because ultimately we would like Robbe and Sander's story to continue in the background of season 4 even though they aren't the principals. (What I am against is erasing gay male characters completely.) In an ideal world, I would've preferred to keep season 3's focus on Robbe, the closet and homophobia (with a side of Zoe/Senne and Robbe's parents) and held off introducing Sander until the finale to set him up as the principal protagonist of season 4. What I think you must remember is that the remakes have the advantage of knowing how well received (for the most part)the gay story lines have been. Unlike the original who was charting knew territory and thus had no idea how popular Isak an Even would be which I think forced them to make changes to the scripting for season four. Personally, I didn't find Sana's story all that compelling thus having the boys more present made the season more enjoyable for me. As for this iteration of the story, I liked the chemistry between Robbe and Sander, I liked the different tweaks they made to the story. I liked Robbe's interaction with everyone in the apartment and how he blended into that little family and became part of it rather seamlessly, to that point particular I liked Robbe's interactions with Senna. |

Agreed about the pacing and plothole for this season. It was all over the place. This wouldn't have been quite as bad if they aren't using a real-time format like the OG. The chemistry between Robbe and Sanders saved it, even though they still left tons of dangling storylines at the end. Like the attack on the two, what happened with the Dad, any followup with Britt, etc.
For next season, I wonder if they will continue to use the whole OG Mikael storyline to Sanders. It doesn't seem like Sander had any massive breakdown that caused him to repeat a year in school, as he successfully entered art school. Would the school make the bel!Balloon Squad a graffiti gang? In addition, I really hope they don't follow the OG in terms of the fight where Isak got beaten up. Considering the attack this season, I really hope they don't beat up Robbe again next season. Especially since they never followed up with it and left it as gays should just endure a beating and not report it.

I went all the way back to season 1 to find out how Robbe begone every one was thinking he was gay I like how they started out I just wish they still have all of season 1 in Eng.

Holy ...
Did not expect them to go there, but so glad they did. These guys have insane chemistry even when physically apart.
It's wonderful that the gay couple gets to be sexual even with social distancing. (I know this is still PG13 fare but I did get a laugh out of them keeping everything explicit out of camera shot.)
