I find this story really good, nearly better than Miguel und Paulo. Ok no kissing und less touching, but with a lot more feelings involved. Feelings that are tangible.
Great Actors.

I think it helps quite a bit that Duarte's character this time around is much more sympathetic -- I always thought that Miguel was quite a jerk up until the last couple parts of the show. David is struggling with his sexuality -- but in my opinion is no where near as violent as Miguel.
I quite enjoyed Xavier's conversations with Andre about coming out -- it actually rang pretty true with Andre being more amused about the clash with everyone's preconceptions of Xavier as this jock womanizer with the actual reality. Frankly, I think the family should be kicking dad out! I was shocked that David actually talked about his feelings/sexuality/experience with Riccardo -- I would have thought he would be more likely to confide in Daniela first (mostly because I think Riccardo would be the most likely of his circle of friends to blab the truth at an inconvenient movement).

Dad was very annoying even before the coming out, he is a narrow minded jerk (obviously in the end he will change, and better for him because i don't think his wife will endure his crap for much longer)

I know what they are trying here, but with the show ending soon it's a big mistake. The father's behaviour is so childish and inmature that's ireedeemable in few episodes.
I don't say that won't happen in real live, because i'm sure it happens, but when both parents have such different attitudes the relationship usually ends in divorce

I agree! So much angst in Beijo. Os Nossos Dias is like a relaxing jaunt in comparison!!!! Plus, I really like the relationship between Andre and Xavier. One of my highlights has been watching the lovely development and seeing them getting closer as brothers and going from barely speaking to roughhousing and becoming friends! Andre's reaction to Xavier was so refreshing after the Leonor and Alexandre (I am aware that the mum changed her tune but her first reaction wasn't encouraging!). And just like a brother he gave him s**t. Surprisingly, I have been enjoying this s/l. I thought the censorship would just piss me off to much (it did when I saw the editing that was done!) but I still invested in these characters and I want to see them get the HEA (hey its a Telenovela so they should!). I got so invested I have jumped on the rtp site.... The last 2 episodes aren't up yet but everything else is. Wow!!! I am so glad safelight is continuing!! Especially now we are in the home stretch... David at at a gay bar.... Never that would happen!! They were so sweet talking about it and i loved their interaction. It really seemed like they were a couple until David wrecked it all and said he was working on it still.... Seriously! I I have to give him credit though: he has come so far from when he punched Xav so I can forgive him. For the moment. Funny about Andre being the one to expose everything!! I really thought it would be ricardo! Btw is anyone else really him now. I find him irritating as the livestock idiot but his s**t stirring is brilliant. I Loved his comment about them going to have a party that night it made me laugh like an idiot on my train to work!
And thanks gidi!!! I Did see there were 2 but didn't know the second was the last 2 episodes! Only 4 more to go with the ones safelight is subtitling so it will be all excitement and tension and of course resolution.

Safelight : I'm having a hard time finding the time to finish this project, because I'm traveling from one place to another due to my new job. But don't worry, I'm gonna make it, as I have been making until now. I just won't manage to finish Ep. 40 for the next week. So please be patient

People think this storyline is more palatable than O beijo do escorpiao because David is very different from Miguel, and that's true, but the truth is Xavier is very different from Paulo too.
Miguel was an angry young man in denial, but Paulo's masochistic vein didn't help either. Even if both characters have very similar starting points in both soaps, here David had a bad first reaction but that was all.
It's a pity the show didn't gave them more time to develop the storyline

And it was loaded full of emotion!!!
That father... I thought David was VERY self controlled in not slamming the door on that pig bigot!! However loved the mum in this clip. I've been thinking she has been too lenient in the gave off that blatant homophobia. But today she stepped up and gave him the boot! I got the feeling he was insulted that he was being asked and I actually thought he wouldn't leave and would put up a fight! Maybe he realized he went to far... I did think a couple times in this episode that he was thawing.. But then he reacts even worse than before!
And Ricardo. Now I don't like him again.... Today was the second time he said something that was essentially sticking up for the douche (by the way did anyone else live the look David have him when he first said it... If looks could kill!!). This time David was to busy telling from the vitriolic speech to slap down Ricardo and his inappropriate comments!
And the boys... So love them together!! Their characters are wonderfully written and well portrayed. I had a plan that I was going to have a very clear plan about how I was going to wait till it had all been uploaded to watch it... And the second I got notification I was watching it... Glad I did!! Especially as David initiated sex and they shared a bed like a real couple! Looks like David is going to ditch the "we are just friends thing" that he had been saying all the time.
Now I will have to start from the beginning again and watch it all white waiting for the next 4 weeks (I'm going to sick to the plan this time!!)...
oh! Who am I kidding!?! I will be watching 2 weeks from now...
Also has any one heard whether they will be releasing the kisses separately???
