The father is a bit obsessed with girls, and frankly for soap standards Xavier has all the signs of gay but not yet out characters I agree with you. He had to come out from video I saw it is not easy for him safe light will bringing it accorint to the chronolgy of the story |

I'm mainly watching this for the eye candy (which is a good way to watch since i heard there will be some censoring in future eps)
Sisley Dias is SO GORGEOUS!!!!

This is a daytime show, so i expect their relationship to be very tamed. Anyway we don't seem to be near of them being even remotely a couple, the episodes are long so once it started to advance probably will do fast, but right now they are not even in the good friends cathegory.
We know David is not going to react well, but i doubt Xavier's father react better, that man is so invested in his son dating girls that is almost impossible he react well to the coming out. Xavier seems represed but aware of being gay, i don't think David is on the same place at all
And yes, Sisley Dias is gorgeous

David reacted fairly well -- I was expecting something much more like Duarte's last character Miguel. I still am not quite convinced that they are really friends (just as jjose712 points out) -- that part of the conversation between David and Xavier seemed a bit odd, when Xavier went back to David's the next day after the party. I agree that Xavier's father is going to be quite a problem -- Xavier was definitely playing the pronoun game very carefully during his conservation with his dad. I also have to state that I quite enjoy the relationship between Xavier and Andre -- both actors do a great job at acting like brothers. |

Xavier hints are there, maybe not in a explicit way, but he always changes the conversation when his father insist (he is very tiresome) in talking about girls, but with David we don't have anything yet |

I've been watching the episodes on the show's actual website and am caught up as of yesterday. I appreciate the effort Safe Light is making by posting these translated clips. The actors are very nice to look at and can act. So that's always a plus. :-)
I understand that this is a daytime show, however... *BIG spoilers. I mean it. Do NOT read if you do not want to know how this story is going in the untranslated episodes which are several months ahead of these translated clips!!*
Things moved glacially , then they move really fast. But never , ever, are they shown kissing, or even hugging. Not even hugs!!! Can you imagine? It makes for some awkward viewing. It's clearly a double standard thing as straight couples on the show kiss, and cuddle on the couch together, etc. David and Xavier do no such thing, at all. You see them go in for a kiss and then the show cuts away before they're within a foot of each other. They are shown one time sitting up in a bed, side by side but not embracing or anything. Not hugging, not kissing. The closest thing to physical affection is a hand massage scene. That's it really. Both men go through some very very emotional scenes with each other and not one single time do I remember a hug. It's inexcusable really. It's like this show is made in 1965 Portugal, not 2015 Portugal. Very frustrating and disappointing.
