As expected, this is turning out to be quite the murder mystery. Especially considering Fernando's last conversations with almost all surrounding characters (save maybe for Miguel) ended on a sour note, even including Afonso. It really affects everyone. Henrique's reaction was a little change to the norm, unlike Roman (back to calling him Romao? I quite liked your Roman version, jjose712, it's less soft for the character, lol) who's just as cool, collected and calculating as ever. Antonio besides the initial shock remains also pretty calm and reasonable as usual, though admittedly he's the one that needs to keep everything and everyone afloat at the Shopping Place now.
They really made sure to drive home the fact that the man's dead and well dead, constantly showing his body wasting away on the floor. The scene with Rita while they were covering it was well done; not too much, just enough.
The fact that it was Paulo who announced the news to Miguel, well, well. He at least regains his composure fast and keeps true to form after that hug, I guess. We'll see for the rest.

Well, i'm spanish so i tend to make their names spanish, but his name is Romao. Enrique has showed some signs of humanity lately, hopefully he'll see the rat he has at home, because Romao wants it all, and that includes all Enrique has. Alice is less and less a reliable ally, now Rafa knows she is liked with Romao.
Portuguese telenovelas really like their murder mysterys, there's another in Belmonte (i think one of the actors must be the older brother of the guy who is playing Miguel, because they really look alike), and i remember the murder mystery on Ninguen como tu (a show that had 2 gay characters, and ended with 4 when both gay characters got a boyfriend). That was the last portuguese telenovela i get addicted till o beijo do escorpiao.
Miguel drop his walls for a while but it didn't last long, hopefully he will not get into a path of destruction, without Paulo, Fernando was the only important part of his life. He has his extended family, but nobody who talk about of his feelings (of course he could do it with Rita, but that would suppose admit a lot of things he doesn't want to admit)

Unsurprisingly again, Fernando's death is indeed the trigger to open cracks in the Paulo/Miguel story. It's even more obvious than before that Miguel needs Paulo in his life much more than the other way around. I guess good ol' Afonso is there for the rescue at least. This is what I actually thought before yesterday's episode: 'Let's see how long it'll take to see Miguel knock on Paulo's door or something like that'. And what do you know? LOL! Right on time, Marta.
Romao wants it all, doesn't he? Shopping Place and Rita, if I understood it well? Such a perfect villain. While I like Rafael exposing Alice a little more, what a timing for Rita, man. And revelations just don't stop raining on the woman.
That detective sure is moving fast, unlike in some other soaps. But everything examined is too obvious for now. Fernando was (purposefully) annoying in his last episodes, but something definitely shifted with his death; he for sure was an important character, and it just kind of feels different already without him around, especially with those flashbacks.

Oh yes, the detective is as effective as she is annoying, he he
Romao is really delusional if he thinks he has a chance with Rita. And Rita will know (if she doesn't know yet, last night my signal failed and i still didn't watch the entire episode) that Romao is linked to Alice, because Rafa knows it. And Rafa, at least, did an inteligent thing and told Rita the whole truth, and now (if she wants) they can play her.
Miguel is probably bisexual in terms of sex, but it's pretty clear gay in terms of affection. All his women in his life were merely hook ups. And now he is starting to feel what it's to be without Paulo. Paulo has friends, Miguel doesn't have any, and he is even more isolated wihtout his brother. Anyway, i don't think they will get an smoth path from now on, but at least the storyline is moving

And the moment where the power dynamics of these two switch it's come. Miguel is more than pleased to hear that Paulo didn't sleep with anyone after having sex with him. Unfortunately now we have the plane dissapeared storyline, so we'll be without Paulo for a while. When he come back (i doubt it will be another tragedy so soon) i think the storyline will move into something new

I expected big dramatic plots to be what would drive drastic changes forward in the pairing, not just remote reactions, and the two latest plots are just that. Though while in that sense it is all contrived, the first big plot (Fernando's death) at least was actually not just limited to the two characters and their relationship; their story moving forward because of it is part of a bigger thing affecting the show at large. It was a big nudge, but the latest stunt (plane disappearance), especially just after Paulo said he didn't want to hear it from Miguel anymore and Miguel was this time asking to be heard, should be the one pushing towards the edge. Soap recipe at work.
Funny how Paulo was the one announcing his brother's death to Miguel and this time it's Miguel announcing Paulo's potential (but not really) disappearance to his brother Antonio.
Something I've been curious about from almost my first watching has been the connection between Afonso and Rita. Has it always been platonic between all parties? I see there's pretty much love on Afonso's side and I think Fernando got that, but what about Rita? I'm not sure I truly got their relationship or how it started.
Indeed, that detective can be annoying, but yeah efficient. But she can be efficient all she wants without bothering Rita in my book. Whether Rita is the one who did it or not, I just want everyone to leave her in peace, her kids included, lol. I like how Alice looked when she thought she had the detective where she wanted though.

Afonso and Rita were dating in their youth. Afonso had a wild youth (it seems) and he was the one the left Rita. They didn't know each other for a lot of years, because Afonso change university (and his whole life) after the death of a friend.
Alice is a little delusional, yes the detective is annoying but she is not a fool. And i think Rafa is a big part of Alice's scheme, wich of course only will end exploding in her face.
Romao is human, or at least that's what it seems in the last episode.
And Jacks apart of being a big homophobe is not exactly firm owner of the year either, the security of the planes is not exactly good, and he is way more worried about being sued than the security of the pilots and passengers.
Miguel is a lot more likeable when he is not being a big jerk

I don't speak Portuguese but it seems that Paulo will come back soon, after the dissapeared plane storyline. Miguel and Antonio take Paulo home. After Antonio's exit, Paulo asks Miguel about his strange behavior. Miguel replies passionately kissing Paulo, full of desire. Paulo asks Miguel if he's sure about what he's doing and Miguel confess that he loves him, then they go to Paulo's room and make love. Later Marta arrives and is confused seeing Paulo with Miguel coming from his room

Please, please, please, if the spoiler is true you need to use a color to make it invisible for the ones who don't want to be spoilered.

Don't worry i made the same mistake a couple of times, you only need to write the message and then edited changing the colour.
I think the spoiler it's for this week, probably by the end of the week. I think we'll know Paulo is still alive by the end of tonights episode

Episode 131 - 19 July 2014 is related to the spoiler I posted. Last video uploaded by Paulo Escorpiao (part 50) instead is related to the episode 126 aired 14 July

Oh, i feel pretty stupid now, i just realize the you post the spoiler in portuguese. The fact that i understand it doesn't mean the the rest of the forum would understand. It's better always hide the spoilers but in this case i think most people only understand it if they go to a translator.
So it's the saturday episode. I hope my tv signal will be better this weekend, i generally have some problems with friday and saturday's episodes (but this whole week the signal is better so hopefully i could watch it without waiting for the internet video)

Hey, how you guys going! So I`ve been watching the episodes, like one day after it aired in Portugal, I found this blog tvstoryoficial.blogspot.com.br/search/label/O%20BEIJO%20DO%20ESCORPI%C3%83O and they post the complete episode, to those who wants to know a bit more of the history. The only problem is that you have to download it lol. Hope it helps someone Sorry for my bad English, and for the non-subed episodes how you guys know what happening between Paulo and Miguel? I think there's some other peoples here who speak Portuguese that can try to sub or something like that. It would be easy to a bunch of people interested in the storyline between the lovers.

I can't try to sub, my portuguese is not that good (and frankly i don't have enough time either) but if someone needs to understand what is happening in a scene only need to ask.
I use the same blog when the tvi's signal connection is not working (wich unfortunately it's happening a lot lately)

I just appreciate being able to rely on jjose712 (thanks!) for confirmation and back story, as my Portuguese is way too limited to provide translating assistance. But based on the last post, there is someone helping already with the Paulo videos, so one can check it out.
As for the spoiler, I can only say 'Duh'. Miguel's self-realization and acceptance now done, I guess what would be left to see would be his social behavior at work and everywhere else after it. Beyond that, Marta continues to show signs of being a bit in too deep with Paulo.
The disposition of beds in Romao's and Natalia's bedroom continues to amuse me. It's such a great reflection of their marriage. Xana's concern over Paulo and Antonio breaking a bit were good to see. Jacques is another story; he'd probably ask Paulo what the heck he did to his plane before checking on how everyone who was on it is doing. On another note, I find that besides the scene of Rita in bed crying, the actual grieving over Fernando is a bit tame with the characters. The murder mystery and investigation, the Andre gun crisis and now the Paulo situation are valid concerns in the way for family and friends, but still.

Yes, the social behaviour it will be an issue (as of course it will be their boss).
Miguel came to a point of acceptance, and the fact he thinks that he lost Paulo forever will make him take the steps to accept his love for him. But intimacy is one thing and being out to the world other very different.
Of course i don't expect Paulo to obligue him to a massive come out, specially because Paulo is not exactly a gay pride parade guy. Maybe the friction, at least at the beginning would be more being out in a safe place like in a gay bar or with friends.
Well, Rita has tons of reasons to cry, her son is a mess (and she is not sure he is totally innocent in the murder of Fernando), Fernando was a pig with her, but he was the love of her life.
I really liked the scene with Manuel and Natalia when he was clear about how wrong was the situation, that Natalia wasn't a woman to have affairs and all that jazz, to after make all that very clear, start to kissing again. Natalia really needs some relieve, with that father and that husband is almost impossible not being traumatized.
I hope Rafa takes some revenge on Alice, she really deserves it. Unfortunately he will be in the middle of Nuno and Vera crisis (lately Nuno is being a jerk, Fernando's style)
And about Marta, she is quite ambiguous, on one hand she has pretty clear Paulo is gay and she has been an incredibly friend, on the other hand she really seems to like him more than a friend. Of course she didn't have luck with guys and Paulo treat her really well. Anyway, i think she is still in love with Ricardo

Anyway, i think she is still in love with Ricardo It's definitely an ideal type of thing that attracts Marta to Paulo beyond friendship. He just holds up much better against all that she has known so far, but I believe she's still in love with Ricardo as well. Rafa is just making women swoon all over. Despite Nuno's behavior, it's just unfortunate that it's a friend that will probably be in the mix of things with Vera. But it's nothing new. It'd be interesting to see Rafa form a kind of alliance with Rita against Alice.
